All ranged - I cant hit anything with a controller.
That would be me if I would play on console too. Add Nurse on top of that too.
-
Also I would add that if you want a tracking perk, most players including me would pick something else than this perk. There are so many options these days for a good consistent tracking perks (aura readings, gen info perks, etc.). This perk just falls into a second line. You don't really need it and there are better perks that does Whisper's job better / more consistent.
-
I can't even remember last time I saw a Killer with this perk.
It's quite nice tracking perk that helps mainly during early game to find people and end game / last Survivor standing. But it is limited and you might not always quess right where someone is or isn't.
I think the perk is in perfect spot.
Also if you think it's OP then think for a second how many matches you saw this perk recently. I bet it's not even in 5% of your total matches.
-
It's true that sometimes I have games where I down people left and right pretty quickly, they almost fall like flyes.
Yet gens are poping quite fast as well.
It doesn't make always sence.
Downes = hooks = pressure = slower gens but not really and not always I quess.
-
My last Knight (Legendary skin as well) I saw in my Survivor game:
- Camps everyone he can
- Gens go fast
- He DC after few minutes
oh well...
Edit: I just got another Knight but he got 0K and gens were quite fast considering he had gen slowdown perks.
-
Worst Killer since Trickster came out (from the gameplay side of view)
He is not much fun for lot of people on the both sides. There is very little interesting you cam do with him and he is weak. His perks however are quite nice.
New Survivor perks are mid I quess. Nothing you need to have but still okay to have. Don't care about the character tho.
New map was bugged so can't fully judge for now, but it looks like a Pallet city 2.0 type of map with okay main building and a shack.
Overall score: 2/5

Don't think it's fair to say that right now, there's a lot of bug's and glitches around. I tried 4 Twins games and i got stuck in at least 3 of them after Victor pounced on a healthy survivor. Only thing you can do from that point is just DC because you cannot see at level height, move or attack.
I didn't play Twins since the new chapter dropped. Now I am scared to even try them.
-
Well I had giving Survivors their challenge glyph backfired.
There would be downed but I let them collect their glyph. Then instead I was expecting them to just give me the down as a trade off but nope, they finish the glyph and I don't rememeber now how since it was some time ago but I know I got punished for that so they probably run away or something. So I don't do this much anymore.
-
Well I thought it reveals anyone within 24 meters of that gen you kick for few seconds.
Not that it reveals anyone within 24 meters of you for few seconds, that honestly sounds too good. Either nerf the range or make it only around the area of the gen.
I know for someone like Pig it's not OP or something but on someone like Nurse or Blight... Probably too good.
-
First of all, unless you are NOT breaking any game rules, there are no other rules for both sides.
I would split this "book" into two part:
- Generaly agreeable
- Personal twists
Generaly agreeable: is something like "hey Killer shouldn't tunnel" or "hey Killer shouldn't camp someone or face camp them", etc. Just set of few rules that "everyone" can agree upon usualy when it comes to playing "fairly".
Personal twists: well these are the wild things. These can be anything really. Someone mind find offensive and toxic that you down them because they were AFK. Someone mind find toxic that you hit them on the hook after they tbagged you. Or that you play some killer with some build. Or you play some add-on, playstyle, etc.
Simply put, what I am trying to say is: You will never make everyone happy. From 100 different people, 25 might think playing Pig itself is not friendly, 73 might don't care and the last 2 will DC and wait until endgame chat to tell you how horrible you are and you should uninstall the game (even if you played like the most fair killer ever).
-
I don't remember there ever was a sale on characters for shards (auric cells only). But since I usualy own everyone I could be wrong.
Also I would probably wait until the winter event starts, I don't think it will be any sooner than that. I would bet around end of the year or during Xmas period while winter event is present.
But we have no official date. Also sales usualy happen suddenly (no planned date for that, they just suddenly happen).

BHVR released Sadako, Dredge, Wesker and Knight in 2022.
If u take a look at these 4, Wesker is BY FAR the best killer out of them.
The others are weak and / or boring.
Dredge and Sadako in boring tier 😢
"How dare you..."
-
I think you mean why you can't bodyblock someone when they are hunted by Guard.
It's simple - so you can't force two hits on a single Survivor within very short time (instadown). You could easily outrun someone, then try to bodyblock them and wait for the Guard to hit them for easy instadown.

That only works if people can see MMR and therefore work towards it. The thing is, nobody's going to work towards hook-based MMR if it's invisible. In fact, if working to kills over hooks gets you easier games, that's going to encourage people to minimise hooks.
On top of which, focusing on spreading hooks out makes games more difficult for killers. So, you make the game harder for yourself, which then gets you higher MMR and harder games...? Not a winning combo.
Yea it is harder to win if you "play fair" and go for hooks mainly. Maybe the game would have to be rebalanced a bit (nerf overall gen speed, again...) or something. However then we enter thin ice territory, since anyone can still camp and tunnel unless these both are punished and nerfed as a base game mechanic, etc. Many things would have to be reworked or re-look into but maybe the overall outcome could be worth it. More healthy game.
-
I will play Shadowborn until base FOV is increased (I don't care if by default or in settings menu).
-
I wish he is truely a strategic killer instead of drop guard on the loop and pray that it worked. Rarely you can use it to cut people off and probably only in corners of the map.
-
No.
Not even the base 2,5% kick regression on base kit which sucks imo.
-
1) He is not even the best killer at doing either of these things (camp & tunnel).
2) He is weak so people gona use whatever they can to secure kills with that little they have
3) You can just rush hook and guard deactivates in process
-
Windows are meta but Its not a strong perk. It's just info perk on pallets.
Prove isn't that strong either, it boost gens on avarage by few seconds.
-

Quality of version 6.4.0 is terrible, it's like when Nemesis had come.
Or Twins...
-
More than ever? Nope, that would have to be more than 75% pickrate which is still far from it, BUT it is slowly going up and up so... Maybe we will get there at some point again lol.
-
1. Yes, it helps with flashlight saves a bit
2. Very rarely tho, I would put this into a bonus rather than his consistent strenght. It's hard to do that and more about luck.
3. Word "OP" and "Knight" don't work together hah. No.
4. True, he is only good for kicking or wasting someone time.
5 + 6. He can be decent camper at things but there are better killers who can do his job better. Guards more work like a info rather then consistent damage apply (maybe other than Assasin if close to a Survivor).
-
I am pretty sure it is a bug. It will be fixed soon.
Also I wouldn't call Knight broken lol. There are far better killers in tunneling and camping. His power sucks so no wonder why so many people camp with him.
-
Bugs, bugs, bugs everywhere
New Killer power is weak and boring for both sides
Random garbage put in older maps (Autoheaven, McMilan)
Some bugy perks interactions (Make Your Choice with Knight, Pinhead hold hostage combo with Hex:Face the Darkness).
-
If you like Knight, try Artist. You will love her. More gameplay yet similar to Knight + strong kit and more skill plays.
-

Yes, we can confirm there is a bugged tile that's spawning too many pallets.

Wesker has been everywhere for weeks. The Knight barely survived a day and people are already switching off
True. It's almost 1 full day since he came out and I allready played againts many different Killers other than the Knight lol.
-
- People don't like much her default look
- Correct me if I am wrong, but her only very rare outfit in store is also a set, which also many people don't like ---> Not that many skins
- People play other characters way more
=
Less cash.
Vittorio was perfect marketing sell point. Good look by default + adds two shirtless skins lol. Easy cash $$$$.
-
Well if I quess why, it is probably because:
- People don't much play her / main her as much as the other Survivors
- Many people don't like her default skin
- Her skin options are very limited
-
This sounds like a worse version than how he is now. Even less gameplay, more auto stuff. Also this doesn't adress his main problems.
I don't like it.
-
Sadako is fun but weak. Don't buy her it if you are looking into strong killers and winning games a lot.
Blight is also fun and has many things to master on him, but even avarage Blight can do well. He is very fast paced and the second best killer in the game.
Artist is also strong and has range attacks with birds, info from birds and good antiloop. She takes some skill too.
Imo I like all these killers so it comes down to what you want the most. More stealth, teleport? Sadako. Strong killer? Blight, then Artist. Etc.
-
Cool idea, bad execution.

Can't we like wait for a month for the dust to settle? He just came out.
No. It's too obvious even from PTB you could tell the problems with this Killer. Unless the Killer has very complex power it is usualy pretty easy to tell how strong or not the Killer is and what he is good at and in what he sucks.
-
He is not THAT bad but he is on the lower side of the tierlist for sure.
-
My biggest issue is that his power is really boring. All you do is just place guards on loops or next to hooked Survivors. If you try to use your power anywhere else (besides maybe kicking a gen or something), Survivors will just hold W to different direction because they can tell what you are doing. So you place guards on loops and people hold W anyway to the next loop / window, etc. It's so boring and it also takes very little skill at all. Survivors see everything you do. AI sometimes still doesn't work 100% correctly. You can't use them in some creative way because it backfires you. It's rly shame, because the concept of the power (idea) and the overall desing (look) of the Killer is great! Sad.
-
I feel allready bored of him after just few games of playing him. He is boring, zZzZzZzZzZz... power.
People just hold W all the time againts your power.

probably and probably not
tho again not a lot of survivors can do flashlight saves lol
also loving you talking about flashlights with a lightborn pfp, i think between everyone u should be fine xd
They will not even need to be good at it. Just aim at the killer not too early And Its done. Way less skillfull play.
-
It's because of this map + probably mist offering... it's not great xD

@MrPeanutbutter said:
No. I’m just going to stop playing survivor for at least a month because I really don’t want to play against the same killer every single ******* match
I wouldn't worry about that much. I bet you will not see offten the new Killer after a few days (same fate like Artist).

I was until I saw the changes from PTB. Barely any buffs worth mentioning and none of the core design issues fixed.

Looking forward to the new map and to the new perks. The killer in itself I do not vibe with, but I knew that as soon as he was announced, so it's not a surprise =)
You mean by style/desing/theme of the Killer or by the power itself?

As if that's vastly different from other killers and their counterplay.
Well it is. Other killers have other things to do or they take more skill to do it. Knight's power is not worth using outside of dropping it in the loop.
-
Knight has such a unique concept of a power and you could do so much things with that... but sadly that's not what we will get when he comes out.
Instead we will have another anti-loop power, that this time takes very little thought since it's AI based, and nothing really more. Such a wasted potential. He will probably be less favorite for people than Artist (she takes a skill and has more gameplay to her on both sides) and people allready dislike Artist.
-
Yep, agree.

Kinda disappointed that just immediately dropping a guard without really making much of a path (if any) is still going to be the most optimal way to play him in chase. He's just gonna be Artist but more boring. Artist at least offers more interactivity with her crows and requires more skill which makes her more interesting to face (I am one of the few that actually likes her). But with Knight it just feels out of place and there's not nearly as much strategy involved, if any sometimes. He needs a power shift imo.
As for the other stuff, 0.4 seconds seems really generous at first glance for flashlight save buffer, but hard to say for sure without seeing it since it didn't work correctly in the PTB, so we'll see what happens there I guess. FtD buff is nice, I like that it's more consistent now and not on a random interval. Although combining it with Thrill of the Hunt might be kinda annoying (since you'd physically be unable to do a totem outside the terror radius).
Glad to see they addressed the fog color on the new map. It was hard to follow scratch marks on the PTB.
Agree. He is Artist but with way less skill and way less gameplay. He will be probably more boring to play as / face againts than Artist as well. And many people are allready not a big fan of Artist on both sides. She has below 2% pickrate so I wouldn't be suprised that after few months he will be in similar or even lower spot than her. I bet he will become a rare killer after first few days (same fate like Arist when she came out).
-
@DEMONANCE said:

exactly, and this is how everyone played against him on ptb and how everyone is gonna play against him when he releases and then everyone is gonna get bored of him real fast.
you don't need months to figure out this is a problem.
hopefully the buffs do something.
The buffs only buffed his chase (mostly). So it will be the same thing but he will be bit better at doing that.
-
Killer optimal gameplay:
- Drop your power on the loop
- Continue chasing
- Repeat
Survivors optimal gameplay:
- Shift W to a different loop
- If you see the big green light, go the other direction and Shift W to a different loop
- Repeat
-
From very interesting power concept that could be unique and tactical power... We got drop guard on the loop, no thoughts given, repeat.
Survivors hold shift W and pray for any next close chain loop. Repeat.
So sad. People allready dislike Artist, well this killer has less gameplay and takes less skill than Artist as well.
