Killers aren't playing with you because you're a full SWF. They're probably afraid that you guys are going to be one of those toxic/super sweaty groups who just want to make your experience as ######### as possible and deny you BP during the Bloodhunt.

@SnakeSound222 The problem is not them dodging lobbies, 1/2 killers do that, the problem is the amount of time it takes to get to that lobby, I can stand the dodgers, but not the waiting time for us to get to a lobby... I mean, if it was a wait of 3 mins top that'd be ok for me even if the killer decided to dodge

  • @MegMain98 said:

@DudeDelicious Survivors all starting separately isn’t what you want though. They can pop gens super quickly especially without Ruin. You WANT them to start together, it’s not the optimal play.

Yep, I want them to start toghether, Discordance gives me the easy location and then I hurt everyone I can for them to waste time healing whyle I'm downing the last one who got hit

  • @Peanits said:

I'd say it totally depends. If they go 200% immersed, you can extend the game as much as you want, but you're not accomplishing anything until you have someone in chase.

Likewise, if you use Ruin, it has the potential to get cleansed instantly.

Both have situations where you get nothing out of them. Yes, there's a chance Ruin doesn't go down immediately. Yes, there's a chance you find someone while Corrupt Intervention is up anyway. But both have the potential to backfire.

Good dev, do you guys have any study on the average time in which Purple and Red ranks destroy Ruin in contrast with the average time in which a survivors gets downed by a killer using CI? That would be interensting to read.

  • @sluc16 said:

Ruin is used waaay too much, killers have no other option, if no ruin is used, gens gets fixed too quickly if you are not using a killer that can apply good map pressure. So is ruin or loose, and is not even a sure thing since it can get broken quickly.

So the fact that they are pretty much forced to use ruin because otherwise they don't have good fighting chance means the game is not correctly desingned. If the game was well designed and balanced there would be no need of so many killers using this perk.

Just my opinion. Don't be saulty

Actually it's useless in high ranks (purple and red), survivors get rid of the hex in less than 1 minute and/or can do perfect skillchecks. I'm a kiler main, and I have to tell you that Corrupt Intervention is way better than ruin, CI blocks without any danger of being broken 3 gens for 120 minutes (more time than the time survivors use to destroy your hex), you just have to know how to play and patroll the other 4 gens (that are actually next to each other)

  • @justarandy said:

Playing survivor is impossible because nearly every killer wants to farm.

And playing killer is impossible aswell because a lot of players switched to killer so they can farm.

I hate double bp because of this Community. Just play normally ffs, you aren't going to get x100 more BP by farming. It's boring af, it's not a point simulator.

Ahm... What I've been doing is playing a normal game and as soon as I kill the 3rd player I farm with the 4th, is this ok? Opinions?

  • False, I played 6 games in a row as Demogorgon yesterday, owned the team, killed 3 with regular gameplay and then proceeded to farm with the survivor who actually lasted till the end (call it luck for him) letting him escape in each of the 6 games. Do not generalize, you're just having bad luck mate. Xbox here btw

Haven’t played dbd yet today so I don’t know, how is it for everyone else?

HORRIBLE! WE CAN'T GET LOBBIES ON XBOX SWF PURPLE OR RED RANKS! HORRIBLE!

  • Dude, XBOX, I get to play against him like 2/5 times. Btw, I'm maining him as killer nowdays so, I've been playing as Chained Demogorgon 5 matchs in a row around 10 pm every day

  • @Kagrenac said:

Love this perk but I feel the uninjured requirement really holds this perk back. It's very useful for maneuverig without making scratch marks and would be very useful when you're injured.

If nothing else maybe it could still work while injured but to a lesser degree. Like a 12% speed bonus.

I'm actually in love with this perk and I run it more than UE, I don't mind (thinking as a killer) that it doesn't work whyle being injured, that way the survivor needs to be extra careful for him not to be spotted, also think that it is like a must to be played alongside Inner Strenght, you know? You fail at being stealthy, you get chased, you're injured, you get away, you enter a locker, you heal, there you go, Fixation works again. It's a challenge for the killer to spot players using it and it's a challenge for survivors to remain stealthy in order to keep using it.

BTW... Use it with Lightweight, Smallgame/Quickandquiet and Inner Strenght, you're unspottable if you're a good runner.

  • Nurse on XBOX, NEVER, and when I get to play against one they suck ass...

  • It is NOT against the rules to camp (stay close to you on hook), proxy camp (go away from hook but still close enough) or tunnel (aim for one specific survivor ignoring others), go to your manual and/or rules book, it isn't a bannable offense or even against the rules, it is a well known strategy depending on the killer, the only thing you can actually report are DCers (people who disconnect or rage quit).

All you can do is use perks against campers and tunnelers, which means Decisive Strike, Deliverance, Borrowed Time, etc. I'd recomend using Spine Chill if you're a new player for you to know when the killer is comming. If you're having trouble getting the BP to upgrade survivors play killers with BBQ and chili (The Cannibal)

Also play SWF and write in the description you're having trouble with being camped, people will join to help you and will usually have the perks I mentioned.

Btw... Camping or Tunneling are strategies that can help a killer to get an easy game, Cannibals usually camp, 20-13 rank killers tend to camp and/or tunnel, and in high ranks killers usually tunnel, not camp, and they only tunnel the first player they find to get an easier game (3v1 instead of 4v1). Have in mind that if you teabag or gen rush the killer he'll be more likely to camp or tunnel.

    Hope this helps

  • There's an unanswered bug that has to do with NOED, cause the pounce of the Demogorgon can sometimes instadown a survivor and it shouldn't cause it isn't a basic attack, and when it hits and doesn't instadown people whyle having NOED it still gives the "exposed" notification to everyone, which is also bugged cause a secondary attack doesn't activate NOED and neither the notification.

  • @grtf47 said:

@Carlosylu can i tbag if im good?

Yes you can good sir, you earned the right to do so, lol. Actually if I see you outsmart me and are a good looper I just go away and chase someone else

    Nothing.

@Boss Really? Nothing? Not even on the old times when you were starting to learn the game? I'm not talking about pathological anger (breaking your controller, DCing, etc.), I'm talking about that feeling that makes you really want to sacrifice a specific surviror

I have always used the circle motion on console for over 2 years now and not once has it not registered my wiggle. So maybe your controller is messed up?

I'll check it again, I play every day with a different controller to extend their lifespan, 5 controllers, but maybe I haven't tried that in a whyle. I'd still love the "changing button" dynamic to make it more interesting

Making circles with your LS helps with getting some strain off your controller. Also more gentle for your thumb.

    Example: https://i.gyazo.com/dcabea14b255ce0c70d0d88783194955.mp4

But sometimes it doesn't act as if I was wiggling, literally, the action bar stops

  • @Xcheesemongrolx said:

Can't get stabbed if you don't stab

Good sir, the problem is, I don't tunnel, if I stab that same survivor it was cause he was dumb enough to run straight into me, try to body block another chase or just thought I couldn't hear the moans of pain and the survivor stayed close to where I was

  • @Thasard said:

The amount of information is enough as is. Why do killer's know before finding a survivor that someone is running No Mither? And to dispute knowing if a survivor has DS, if you don't have an obsession perk equipped, but the screen is showing an obsession, there's your indicator that DS is in use, and also, 100% DS is active on at least 1 of your survivors in green and purple ranks. It's a nice penalty for tunnelling. First hooked survivors are trying to get points too. But totally understandable when fellow survivors farm them right in front of you instead of waiting for you to find new bait.

I don't tunnel, but if the survivor ran straight towards me after being unhooked he's getting downed, and if DS hits me I'm sorry to tell you that DS just makes me mad and makes me wanna go for the survivor who had it. Just saying

  • Crouch when she pukes whyle being behind an object, she'll miss every time, and those players WANT to hit you with the purge, so, no actual chase. Hope this helps, that's how I deal with her puke. Also, not cleansing is an option if you believe you're an experienced looper cause sshe's SLOW AH

  • For me (purple rank 6 right now) it's still a rank A, he's good in the right hands and with reading perks combined with gen slowdown like Corrupt Intervention. He's pretty fun to play as, but have in mind he's new, so, I'll get tired of him in about a month probably

  • @Snapshot said:

Just get rid of the indication. Survivors also don't have an indicator telling the killer they have DS for example

I mean, you can struggle them, but yes, that's an argument

  • All moris are fine, the only thing I'd change just to please the comunity is for EBONY MEMENTO MORI to be able to kill everyone but in their third hook, not second.

  • No, I play with friends new to the game and they get to go against red rank killers because of my rank. Also, finding a lobby as survivor took me around 15 minutes EVERY time yesterday with my SWF party on Xbox.

Yes, as a killer the waiting is amazing, around 30 seconds and I'm in a lobby (purple rank)

  • I've NEVER played with Ruin and it's actually cause I have always used Small Game as survivor and messed with the killer's hexes in seconds. I prefer using Corrupt Intervention and Discordance as a combo, it lets me either place traps (trapper, hag, demo) or have a chase for the first 2 minutes without me worrying for the gen rush. I use discordance cause survivors tend to gather into a specific gen whenever they see CI is active.

  • Yep, same, 5 games yesterday with an average of 15 mins of waiting

  • @Hoodied said:

It doesn't just do it with NoEd, it does it with devour too

I think this is a bug as it makes Devour less harmful as they know its on the exposure stage when not downing someone

I didn't know that, thanks for the info, just edited the post adding Devour too.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/90207/noed-demogorgons-pounce-needs-fixing

How long have you been playing? I'm asking because not one single killer, Demo included, has their special ability work with NOED.

As a killer I'm telling you it's OP af an not needed.

You didn't read or I didn't make myself clear and I'm sorry for that... I've been playing since launch btw... The point is not that NOED should work on special hability, the point is that using that hability to down an injured survivor shouldn't trigger the NOED is active notification for the survivors, as NOED is activated by definition by a normal hit.

Example: If you get trapped by the trapper, chainsawed by Billy, etc. (special habilities) it won't notify you that the killer has NOED, but if you get hit by the Demogorgon's pounce it does notify everyone.

What I'm asking is that the devs take out that if you use your special hability to down someone at the endgame it doesn't notify the survivors about NOED cause you didn't fulfill the concept of the perk that actually activates by landing a regular hit.

  • @Thasard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/710202#Comment_710202

You really ought to stop using totems if this is your problem with them, because I will be hunting those bones down with small game while my team gen rushes you (or hides or runs in circles, which happens too).

I think the problem here is that we, as killers, could use the non revealed Hexes by hitting with our second hability instead of basic hit to have more "mind games" content that could upgrade the experience.

  • @xnes_galax said:

Now, i dont want to talk about NOED ans everything related because everyone knows how this topic goes, but what kind of "mind game" is to one shot someone without indications?

And before someone decide to write "just do totems" I am not saying no counterplay, but no indications. Is like if make your choice doesnt notify you of being exposed.

This game is mostly about decision making, and to make a good decision you need informations. More informations = better decision potential (and thats what makes SWF strong, but again. another topic). The problem comes when you doesnt give any information to make decisions about.

Endgame, survivor hooked and the killer is lets say a demogorgon. He down with pounce (also really easy to do, so making this play isnt even an "risk-rewars" thing) and survivors doesnt get notified about NOED.

Well their decision power is really low and poor. I can save him and we both die, or i can let him die and escape but the killer could not have NOED, or maybe the hooked guy cleansed all totems but i dont know about it so i let him die even tought we countered already the perk. This is not a "mind game" anymore. This is a 50%-50%. That's kinda the reason people hate spirit a lot too.

The problem here is that both Devour hope and NOED trigger the notification on the hit, so, there are survivors who will think that if it didn't notify them about noed with the pounce they are safe to go for the rescue and take hits for the team (body block and stuff), and that's where the mind game is.

  • @TheRoyalOwl said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/709983#Comment_709983

Still isn't that big of a deal though. If you have a perk that is very significant to killing survivors they should know, like how when you down someone with Devour Hope ( 3 stacks ) the game tells you they have that perk rather than just making them infer you do.

Doesn't devour hope trigger AFTER you hit someone and instadown that survivor? Cause that's my point right there, and I play remember me, Blood Warden, NOED and Rancor, tell me why mess with my endgame build?

  • @TheRoyalOwl said:

I think you'll live. Its not that big of a deal. That and why are you using his ability if you have NOED? Kinda counter productive.

How about against injured survivors? hook them, go away, come back, down 2 new guys cause they thought you didn't have NOED and fell for that mind game trying to take a hit for the team, that would be amazing to do

  • @Marcus said:

You still get the notification from NOED if you are hit by a Huntresses hatchet.

It shouldn't right? I mean, NOED activates by BASIC ATTACKS only, why doesn't the trapper trigger it then?

Are you taking the piss. So hang on survivors want to loop the killers for what feels like eternity and then they still want the killers to be punished for exacting revwnge. I have been in matches where all survivors no matter what looped and guess what they got camped. Your saying that you survivor mains should have the ability to be ridiculous and pallet slam and loop the dam killer and not get punished. Get over yourself

I didn't say that, and btw, I'm a killer main... What I'm saying is that they could just give you less BP, wanna camp or tunnel, be my guest...

  • I'm there, no problems at all, maybe cause I'm in console, I don't know, but actually the Demogorgon broke the God Tier loops and Pallets thanks to his lounge, the shack is the easiest loop of the game with him

  • @katoptris said:

I actually do enjoy when survivor throw down fake pallets when I'm Freddy cause I can always gain more scoring due to deviousness while putting them back up.

I hate it, cause I chase survivors and make them run towards where I want them to go, if someone used my pallets the chase mindgames are useless

I feel killers need a penalty for camping and tunneling..nothing to major...Just automatic spawn away after like 10 seconds of camping....spawn could be like 20 meters away from the hooked survivor..cuz I’m tired of being camped and tunneled. 😂

The only thing that might work is lowering BP earnings, if you camp you get less BP, if you hit the unhooked survivor before 2 minutes have passed you get less BP, something like that

Which killer/killers gives you the most joy in a match and who gives you the least? Please motivate!

Most joy: Nurse without addons. Mind gaming and juking against nurse is very satisfying.

Least joy: Trapper. I get PTSD (almost) after having played a trapper. Traps everywhere!

Edit: The tally so far (not very scientific, but kind of fun to see)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/528/Y64J8DEZUVPJ.jpeg

For me, the most joy comes from Spirit, Demogorgon and Hag, and the only killer I HATE playing against is Myers... I just can't dodge a hit if he's past T2...

  • @ajbustetter said:

I'm just wondering what everyone's favorites are and why that is. My reasons are pretty simple. I really like the more stealth/surprise based killers. I like scaring the heck outta people and I'm total garbage in a chase. My main man Tapp is the only survivor I actually use. Again I'm total trash at chases so I try to stay immersed and just do the objective. As i really really hate Dwight I use Tapp.

The Demogorgon cause he's fun as hell to play as, the pounce hits are sooooooooo satisfying to land.

    Steve cause Scoops Ahoy

Bill cause he looks amazing in P3

I have been playing the game for 2 days and i only played killer but god damn almost every game survivors are being super toxic and saying things like "camper, tunneler, you are so bad". Like what's the point of this ? I am at rank 11 with hag at the moment and I'm not camping at all and i don't even know what is tunneling. The only thing i do in my games is leave marks on gens and chase survivors. Every game, my only goal is to get every survivor to hook at least for once for the blood points and prevent the generator progress. Isn't that what should i do as a killer? Then why are survivors being so toxic? Like I just want to have fun and play a fair game but people are being so toxic.

Your objective as a killer is TO KILL the survivors, at high ranks (purple and red) tunneling (aiming for one specific survivor until he's off the game) is a well known strategy to get the 4k. Survivors will always get mad for what you do, just enjoy the game, you're a killer, not a friend

  • @HatCreature said:

So BHVR is FINALLY making SWF pair all Survivors according to the highest Rank, so I Rank 16 Killer will never face a Rank 4 because they paired with a Rank 16 and 20.

Now they just have to find out what's causing Rank 8's and 1's to appear in my lobbies lol

I am so happy about this <3 I have never been against SWF, I am ok with friends being a team, even if they're getting the unbalanced advantage of comms that completely puts the game into their favor. But having high ranks in their team and going against a low rank has always been worse, it was never fair for a Rank 4 to go against a poor 20 so I am eccstatic we won't have to deal with this anymore <3

Thank you BHVR for finally doing this, I and hopefully others are very grateful.

Good luck with that... Match making has been broken for months, and not just in SWF, I've posted numerous screenshots both as killer and survivor, and there are specific scheduals where the player data base has to put you in the first available lobby cause there ain't people of your rank playing at the moment.
