works on death hook, significantly increase the amount of bloodpoints you gain to make it worth the time waste. maybe even ignore category cap, but i dunno about that.
@Mookywolf That's the second option of the poll, "works after 2nd hook", lol

You can't mori anyone before you hooked everyone at least once. This prevents tunneling of hook and ez games. Would be still strong, but not as bad as it is now.
This is actually a good idea dude, have my upvote
-
Nope, for console it's huntress, freddy, spirit and myers, that's all I see on red ranks.
-
If I'm having a good day I'll switch between them, if I'm having a bad day, say hello to Spirit and Freddy

The general majority belief seems to be that the changes are basically the worst thing ever. But if I know anything about herd psychology, it's that usually the majority isn't actually as much of a majority as they appear - it's just that those who believe themselves to be in the minority are too afraid to speak their mind for fear of being crushed.
So I thought it would be nice to see how the community is actually split on the issue.
Bearing in mind that we haven't even gotten to the PTB yet and we're just going off what was in the announcement post, what is your initial impression of the changes?
EDIT: I didn't realise there were already a couple of other polls doing this exact thing. I'll still keep mine up, though, because I think it's good to have a wider range of possible responses like this.
You fixed nurse for PC, but they ruined her for consoles, I hardly ever see her, now it's a never will

I literally didn't read, I just saw Nightmare and thought "yep, that's the one"

Xbox: RT
PC: M1
PS4: R2
Hope this helps.

Every killer requires skill, if you can kill me without tunneling nor camping, no matter who you're playing as, for me you're a great killer.
-
I'm talking about red ranks, if you participate in all activities, killed 2, hook 3rd, he lets go cause he's in SWF and he tells the last one where hatch is and 4th gets the hatch you de-pip. That's BS, the 3rd player got another 3 hooks or more from me just cause and also a kill even when I was owning the kill. So... My answer is for red ranks only.
-
@Gamzello said:
I mean you got a 3K and BBQ. You probably got a lot of BPs from that. You already won the game if you killed all 3 of them expect for one person. I mean what more could you do?
Its fine man, just move on.
Good sir, have you gone up to red ranks as killer, apart from participating in many other events, practically the only way of piping up past rank 3 is to get 4k. If the 3rd one suicided on first hook, not only is he giving a hatch escape to the 4th but he's also messing with my hooking BP for the pip up, he still had 2 more hooks for me to get.
Do you get me now?
-
Who's gonna be the killer? Negan? If that's so I want Coral (I obviously mean Carl) and Carol as survivors

Ace is the strongest survivor because he is the quietest, they’re basically skins though.
I have never noticed this, I actually believe Nancy is the loudest of them all though, LOL

That's literally the truth tho? Why would I change your mind? As long as you can loop, you can play whichever survivor and be fine
I just had an argument with a guy in game who said "playing as Jake is weak AH, learn your characters mate", told him this and he tried to defend this BS argument, I just want the forums for him to get more points of view

Is this bait or just #########?

EASY PURPLE AND RED RANKS:
Leave good loopers go, find an easy prey (every team has one), tunnel this player and then play a fair 3v1 no tunneling no camping match.
Use perks like Corrupt Intervention to close 3 gens and get 2 minutes of practically free injuring (injure, don't down, they will waste time healing afterwards) survivors to spot the proper first prey.
Who do you play as, depending on it I could recomend specific perks.
-
Good sir, have in mind new players came to the game, I've been playing each game as a rank 4-6 survivor in SWF with players with ranks from 20-13. And yes, we're getting killers from rank 15-5
This is in XBOX, and I believe the rank we got to play against was an accurate try of average rank between our SWF party
-
@Ihatelife said:
If yes/no why?
You asked if I like it, and yes, if I can't find a nice SWF I go solo or killer

I chose other cause I like the mind games, so, Fredy, Spirit and Demogorgon are the most enjoyable for me

Happened yesterday too in another SWF match, just saying

Well @Carlosylu this was obviously just movie horror icon's I should have included that listing but I thought it would be obvious I did Horror fan film
@ShrekIsHot i didn't want trolls coming in really just spamming for originals which clearly shows they even appreciate the one's we have so sorry I didn't include a none option I simply wanted to show which licensed character's are popular amongst the community and who could likely come next
Good sir, but Pyramid head is a horror movie Icon of the movie from the game, but still, then I will just keep my pick, Alien
-
Where the HELL is pyramid head, he would be number 1 by now in this poll...
-
More viable Hag, more fun to play as Demo
-
Going against: Myers, He's not just stealthy, I just cannot evade any of his T2 and 3 hits.
Playing as: GF

I like Inner Strength, but it can only be used 5 times in a match. More realistically, you'll likely only get to use it once or twice per match since other survivors will likely find and cleanse totems.
Even though Self-Care is slower, it can be done an infinite number of times.
I like Second Wind, but I feel that the 100% heal on another individual is too finnicky and can be ruined if another survivor comes to help you heal, or if someone is healed even by 1%. Maybe the prerequisite should be 75% or healing someone the majority of a heal.
In average I heal myself or get healed 2 times per game, that''s why I preffer IS

Thanks! Didn't see I could change it, LOL

You still moan in lockers.
Yep, little moans vs screams. Try it out, I'm not saying Self Mend is useless I used to run it all the time, but now in red ranks I changed to IS, I swear to god it is amazing and wuite a difference when you use it, have in mind I defended SM with all my heart, but it's true, the average self heals per game is 2, there are 5 totems in game and hiding in a locker is way safer than healing out in the open and also Nurse's calling does not locate the locker heal. I'm not trying to argue, I'm just saying I actually changed my SM for IS and I get to heal all the times I want, I run Small Game, Quick and Quiet, Inner Strenght and Spine Chill, I get to survive 4/5 games both in solo and SWF purple to red rank all the time.
Edit: SM only helps yourself, whyle IS helps you get rid of NOED, RUIN, etc.

Okay no it is called "inner strenght" but requires to go through all the steps I mentionned.
So count the time it takes you to do all that and then count how long it take to heal with selfcare.
Self Care:
- Makes you heal in 32 seconds
- You moan
- You are exposed to being found either by moans or nurse's calling
- 300 BP for the heal
Inner Strenght:
- 14 seconds of cleansing totem + 8 of hiding in a locker = 22 seconds
- No loud moans in locker
- You're hiding
- You're getting rid of hexes and or NOED
- 1000-1500 BP for totem/Hex + 400 BP for healing = 1400-1900 total BP
- Catch: Learn totem spawn points or use small game (perk also usefull against freddy, hag, demogorgon and trapper)
-

Don't you mean "second wind" bc I'm pretty sure "Inner strenghts" just makes you quiet when injured.
And "Second wind" requires you to unhook, fully heal someone, break a totem and then heal after something like 30s.
Nope, Inner Strenght: Cleanse a totem, get hit, hide in locker, no sound, 8 seconds heal.
-
@Mookywolf said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/725905#Comment_725905
a new player probably doesnt know where totems spawn though. and until they learn a few, inner strength will be luck based. self care can be used any time anywhere.
It's true for new players against NEW killers, experienced killers (green to red) know how to headphones, if you get what I mean. For experienced players Self Care is a "wasting survivor's time" perk, You hook one, slug one and hurt one, which means there is one survivor who can get the heal/unhook whyle the injured one will be giving you free 15 seconds to either hit gens, find the moaning one or chase the 4th uninjured survivor
-
@TheUnendingNightmare said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/725891#Comment_725891
No.
Selfcare is one of the best perk around. If you can live without it good for you but I can't.
I'm not going to hope someone is around to heal me, I'm going to do it myself.
"It take like 15s and Makes you useless"
Okay and someone healing you take like 10s and require 2 survivors to do nothing but healing instead of just one.
In SWF it can be useful but solo plays is much better to get selfcare.
That's why I said "Inner Strenght", 8 seconds heal whyle hiding with no moans nor need of another player and gives you 1000 to 1500 BP for the totem + 400 healing BP, what's not to like?
-
It actually means you have to up your mind games, you play against instaheals, loopers and BT+DS+SC+Adrenaline in EVERY PLAYER. So, depending on the killer, just ad FD+Ruin or CI+BBQ+any other perk
You'll be fine
-
@TheUnendingNightmare said:
Okay...
Contrary to your friends beliefs there is another tactic you can use, STEALTH.
Start working on Claudette, Meg and Feng.
My red rank build;
-Selfcare (Claudette)
-Lithe (Feng)
-Urban evasion (the entity...Nea)
-Spinechill (random)
Basically remember to crouch and try to use covers to break LoS ans focus on fixing gen and destroy totems.
When you are a bit better at hidding and sneaking around. That you have a few more perks on a survivor you feel confortable with, you can try to work on getting better at looping.
ewwww Self care... Don't you mean Inner Strenght?
-
Watch No0b3 on YT, he'll entertain you whyle you learn a thing or two about the game.
-
I'd recomend playing killer, you'll get owned the first 10 games, don't camp or tunnel, you're learning, REMEMBER it doesn't matter if you loose, DON'T CAMP OR TUNNEL, your objective is to LEARN.
By doing this you'll get to know what killers do and how they see (scratchmarks, 1st person view, etc.) or play, remember to play using common killers for you to know how to counter them when you're a survivor. If a survivor owns you PAY ATTENTION! YOU CAN LEARN WHAT HE DID TO YOU AND USE IT LATER ON EITHER AS A KILLER OR SURVIVOR!
REMEMBER your objective is to SURVIVE, not to do gens, apply this knowledge when playing solo, if your team ain't doing ######### just do things to get BP (safe unhooks, do totems, fix gens without poping them, hide from killer to get bold BP, heal others) and escape via hatch after they all have been killed.
You'll be fine when playing with your high rank friends, they suck at the game if they can't carry you whyle you are on your learning process by taking hits or the killer's attention, I offer to teach and carry you if you want along with my usual team, Xbox (I don't know what platform you're on).
REMEMBER YOU'RE ON A LEARNING CURVE, ANY MULTIPLAYER GAME WITH TOXIC PLAYERS WILL MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE THIS THW FIRST 25 AVERAGE HOURS OF GAMEPLAY.
Do you play COD, Fortnite or Apex? If you do, do you remember your first hours in those games?

I'm interested in seeing how this turns out.
Nope, I like giving you money for specific things I want, not for stupid and senseless grinding to get 1 item or 2, what happens if I get burned out and never get the skin(s) I wanted for the season battlepass? NO, it's a definetely NO for me.
Want more money? Fix your game, make more original killers and sell cosmetics we all have been asking for like bunny Feng or Tunnel Bandit Steve

dont you loose more if you let him go?
Between farming and loosing a kill vs 4k no farming you get way more by the farming and filling every categorie to the max.
-
I actually adore when this happens, it means they couldn't take an L against a good guy killer who just won cause he's better at the game than the full team of SWF

I am a Killer main lvl9 (BTW my survivor rank is 7 somehow)
I saw post "toxic mori killer" so i wonder how this happened? For me I seldom use that addon cuz actually you wont get more BP by mori people, and it was not that fun.
I did when I saw some ######### survivor i met before, like someone crouching at the door pointing at your face, like someone farming its team and trolling me tunnel, or teabag during the chase...
Whenever I feel like watching a good killing clip, I usually let the last one go or mori everyone on 3rd hook instead of 2nd

The portals are AMAZING, people do not know how to use them! You do know you can detect players close to INACTIVE portals by pressing the LT button right? (Xbox pounce charge button)
Here's what you need to do:
Use Corrupt Intervention, place portals behind walls or rocks really close to gens but not in the sight of repairing survivors or right next to the gen in plain sight when active, start a chase and if you can't find someone use the Pounce charge button to locate players that are close to both active and inactive portals all around the map, go through a portal and land a hit or even a grab because of the stealth time you have after going outside of the portal. Example (go to 02:28):

I can’t do a gen while in a locker, just sayin’.
SW: 3 conditions, 15 seconds of FULLY healing someone else BY YOURSELF + being unhooked + if you're hit (downed) the perk deactivates and you have to start over + 30 of healing yourself
- 400 healing others BP + 400 healing yourself BP = 800 BP let's say you did a full gen whyle healing, add 600 BP to gain a total of 1400
Inner Strenght: 2 conditions, 14 seconds totem cleansing + 8 seconds healing, the perk never deactivates unless you use it regardless of being downed, hooked, etc.
- 1000 cleansing BP (1500 if it's a Hex) + 400 healing yourself in a locker BP = 1400 to 1900 BP
I mean, yes, you can be doing a gen whyle healing but there are lots of context matters to have in mind with the danger of your perk being deactivated by a tunneler hit, have in mind that the perk only heals you when being unhooked, therefore if you won a chase you'll still be injured if you got hit, whyle if you used IS you can heal any time you want.
-
I'm ok with piping sistem, the only change I'd do is for DCs to give an insta black pip for killers and being killed in the early 5 mins of the game cause of camping or tunneling to also give an insta black pip for survivors.
I know it might turn killers into toxic players by giving them the satisfaction or justification that if they tunnel or camp nothing happens to the survivor but it would give us good killers a chance of at least black piping when a specific survivor didn't like being downed early or didn't like the map...
-
Cause Inner Strenght kicked the S out of Self Mending and Second Wind, less time to heal, easy conditions to trigger, you get to hide whyle healing, any questions?
