No. It makes survivors find each other and team up on other gens.
You do know 3 gens done by different survivors take less time (80 seconds) than 4 men on one gen doing 3 full gens (86 seconds) and I'm not adding the factor that they need to traverse the map, and if they do gens next to each other to make them fast and the 4 survs together they 3 gen themselves?
ACTUAL good SWF do different gens at the same time, they don't work on the same one.
You want them together for easy injures and to make them have to heal instead of repair
EDIT: Red rank 1 trapper main, xbox

Funny how they repeatedly asked about how lore affects you choosing a surv, if they had asked me about how skins affect if I choose or not a surv or killer it would've been another story

It only triggers after a few seconds:
- -3 points: deducted each second you are within moderate proximity (16 metres) to a hooked Survivor (only applied after 10 seconds)
- -7.5 points: deducted each second you are within extreme proximity (8 metres) to a hooked Survivor (only applied after 10 seconds)
But to fix this, they should also consider other survivors camping. If there are other survivors at the same distance from the hooked survivors, the loss of points would pause.
But what if I'm hag or trapper placing traps, or huntress going to a nearby locker for axes and it takes me more than 10 seconds to leave?
Damn...

You do lose chaser score if you stay near a hooked survivor and there's no other survivors nearby. This kicks in after they've been on the hook for a while, it's not immediate. If there are other survivors nearby, you won't lose any chaser score. The game recognizes that you can't reasonably leave so it won't punish you.
So, if I'm trapper with extra trapps and as soon as I hook someone I start setting them I lose points if it took me 10+ seconds? Same question for Hag and Huntress grabbing axes

You don't lose points in this example.
You have to be standing near the hook for a set time to start losing points so you have a chance to leave the area and also if a survivor is within a set range of the hook you don't lose points.
For example in the chsser points.
- -3 points: deducted each second you are within moderate proximity (16 metres) to a hooked Survivor (only applied after 10 seconds)
- -7.5 points: deducted each second you are within extreme proximity (8 metres) to a hooked Survivor (only applied after 10 seconds)
Where can I check that data? I really wanna read it! Thanks btw!

How many kills do you get and what color emblem do you normally get. Also mention rank so I can have a guess at if you pip still or not.
3k+ every game, Trapper main, Xbox, Red ranks, I usually get max emblem in sacrifice, that being gold+

@SunderMun said:
This isn't a thing. Hookbombing does not affect killer's chaser emblem.
Are you sure? I'm pretty sure the game punishes camping when an unhook is done and you were next to the hooked person, if this was taken away then there's nothing actually punishing campers.
@Peanits sorry to bother you, would you please tell us if campers get any punishment in terms of BP or Emplem points?
-
@Gravewalker200 said:
Just suck it up and lose about 300 bps
No, no, it's not the BP that concern me, it's the emblem points, a pip is a win in my mind
-
@Clevite said:
You don't lose points if you are in chase. Im pretty sure anyways.
No, I'm not in a chase, I hooked someone, literally turned around and a guy insta unhooks... It takes away emblem points cause the game thinks you're camping cause you weren't in a chase and you were close to the hook.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
Don't lose points while an unhook is being performed?
It's an actual sistem to punish face campers, I'm talking about losing emblem points when someone unhooks and you're next or close to the hook as a camper punishment, and that's the problem that made this be implemented; but the fact that insta unhooks done by dumb survivors take points away from me when I try to go away is just dumb...

Yet another match where unfortunately I was caught first and it was Leatherface who decided to Camp me the entire time with his chainsaw revving.
He ended up getting a second kill before the other two survivors escaped because instead of just focusing on generators one or two of them stood around doing absolutely nothing as if he had any intentions of letting me off the hook.
How about we come back this face camping situation by subtracting three points for every time the Killer stays Within 15 m of a hooked Survivor from the start of the hook through all of the phases.
This would ensure Killers wouldn't camp and survivors would hang in there and not just disconnect.
No man, you have no idea how many times I hook someone, I start going away and a guy instaunhooks... Like... Really? I don't want to be sanctioned cause they play dumb AH

So as you are good enought others have the same skill as you.Im red rank and of course I can handle myself to get rid of SWF but Its stressful.
As I said, "don't generalize" that's all, I'm not generalizing with what I wrote, just saying...

Yesterday, I had to destroy 10 hooks for a challenge... You know... So, Swamp, far away corner, closeby hooks destroyed, we all ran that way when chased, the killer DC'ed, it was a Myers

-
I don't, I still give them time to do S whyle I die on the inside from not being rescued even if the killer is far away by struggling
-
Nah, I can handle the 4 men Red Ranks SWF as killer, don't generalize. Have in mind 3 men+ SWF is barelly 11% of in game lobbies

Why do you buy your clothes in real life if you're in first person? Damn, we should all be naked all the time! What's the purpose of having clothes?! I know there's mirrors, but if I can't see myself fully all the time then it's useless! Clothes are also a scam in real life!
Edit: Damn! I just realized how useless it is that I have a beard! I can't even see it!

As a killer, when I hook someone, and then proceed to chase another 1-2 survivors that keep running around the hook... I'm accused of camping?
No, you're not a camper, they are dumb teammates, I've actually complained that I try to go away from hook for me to get more BP from that person's unhook and the survs insta unhook or stay close to the hook...
As a killer, when I'm protecting my 3-gens, I'm camping?
No, it was the survs error not noticing which gens they were doing.
When a survivor runs to me, and tea-bags, and I see no-one else so I oblige and chase them, I'm tunnelling?
No, tunneling is going for the same survivor ignoring everything and everyone else until he fully dies, if he runs into you and dares to teabag, even if you face camped him, it would be fair game against a toxic gamer
When a survivor DC's, so naturally I'm forced to chase a smaller pool of survivors, I'm tunnelling?
Again, no, tunneling is going for the same survivor ignoring everything and everyone else until he fully dies. They're just mad cause 1 DCed, I usually give them 1 gen free of chase when someone DCs, and if 2 guys DC I'm farming.
When there's a survivor right in front of me, and I can see the other one or two are on the far end of the map, so I go for the obviously closer target, I'm tunnelling?
tunneling is going for the same survivor ignoring everything and everyone else until he fully dies.
Let me put it in other words, if the unhooked survivor:
- Stays at the hook thinking you won't down him
- Stays close to where the saviour is being chased
- Runs into you by accident
- Tries to body block you
It was their fault, not yours, I mean, I usually just down the unhooked survivor if he did any of the above but don't hook him and they never complain.
-
I've notices he has short reach but lots of speed, it might be my perception but it has helped me a lot against him

I hate this, you have no idea how many times I've been dodge cause I use Nea with a mini skirt or a P3 Bill with a Christmas sweater, wanna know the best part? I don't play toxic! If I see 2+ toolboxes in lobby I take my item off!
And about how they usually play, yes, Davids are the "complainers", Neas are usually tryhards, P3 Quentins are hardcore gamers and Blendettes usually play stealth and are bad on loops.
Regarding killers, a red dress nurse on red ranks rules in xbox, if I see her I just try to pip as much as I can, it's already gonna be a 3k+

Yeah, what I usually tell them is "change it for bond", that way you'll get healed faster and you can use the perk for other things like avoiding bringging the killer to your teammates when in a chase.

You know... Yesterday you have learn something important: Never go down into the basement :).
Edit: And what the topic matters... I think its ok to bring a mori into the match if he faces a 4 man toolbox group. Either that or he could go directly afk.
Nah, the problem there was that I didn't bring in BT like I usually do

Similar deal with playing Michael on Hawkins, this guy was sandbagging the team and leading me to get them and all this, they were a SWF but this girl or guy, not sure what their voice were, was super butthurt about it, having a complete fit over how I killed them, their friends thanked me and just told me he gets mad over nothing, I let the others escape after 2nd hook cause I wanted BP.
Am I missreading or did you actually let the sandbagger help you instead of actually killing him first?

Maybe you were getting too many small queue times and they noticed and tried to compensate it somehow
No, but really, I don't know man, it's weird, it was around 12 GB for me yesterday

This is my thoughts as well. I check all the players in my lobbies and SWF groups are way, way more common than the stats we've seen so far.
Yeah, I think survivors realize the only way of dealing with the killer 7/10 games is by using SWF. I'm not against it, I can handle a 4 men SWF but the point here is that maybe that 11% 3+ men SWF is mainly purple and red ranks.
-
To get a refund you need to fully fix 5 gens on your own in a single game whyle using Dark Sense
-
@oke said:
You can't go against optimal teams every single game without losing your mind? I have great news for you, you will not go against optimal teams every single game.
What's the stats on SWF? 4-man SWF is like 5% of all games and more than half of them are just actual friends messing around, so you maybe get 2% super tryhard SWFs which is 1/50 games. You will be fine.
The problem there is that that 5% might be all red ranks, I'm in one of those SWF 4 red ranks men on xbox
Stats haven't been released per rank color have they?

Spies from the Shadows as killer and Small Game as Survivor

Easy as hell, get injured then run STRAIGHT to the killer, he won't resist an easy hit, use DH to go LITERALY through him as you dodge the hit. Tell me if that helped

So, I agree the games go too fast...but gen rushing isn't a thing. It doesn't exist.
Survivors have no other objective. It's not their fault.
I'm with you, I'm just saying what other killers think as Gen Rushing, not my concept, I believe the exact same thing you do, I think it's more of a maps problem, not the speed of the gens

I'd hope downing the unhooker quickly would do more than make up for it. Not sure to what extent it affects your score.
That could actually help man!

@Pulsar said:
My problem is that I play some lower tier Killers, and I struggle to get enough hooks in the amount of time I am given.
I think my average game lasts 6 or so minutes. That means I need a hook every 30 seconds to get a 3K. That is completely unrealistic.
The problem there is the maps man, tell me how it goes with Clown, Legion or Bubba in Hawkins, The Game and Lery's. I can 3k+ with low tier killers there no problem.

It was in its own dedicated post and in the patch notes, but I supposed it could've still been missed.
3K with 3 hooks a piece should def pip you, but it depends on how you do it.
Camping/proxying takes points away from you I believe.
Killers that can one shot in general need the emblem system changed because it only counts as 1 chase so low score. I've finished a Hillbilly game before with a 4k and no chaser emblem at all.
"Camping/proxying takes points away from you I believe."
This is not good... Even in red ranks, quick unhooks with borrowed are a thing... Sometimes I want to get away and I just can't do it fast enough
-
Trapper since launch, mind games to make survivors run into a trap are the most fun and addicting thing to do.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1043426#Comment_1043426
So 9+ hooks should perhaps be a guaranteed pip?
More like 7+ for grey to green and 9+ for purple and 10+ for reds.
This way, in order to pip on high ranks you actually need to be good at the game, tunneling and face camping ain't gonna cut it.
-
@AsePlayer said:
@Carlosylu They changed the gatekeeper emblem with the ruin change. It now is more reliant on if the exit gates stayed closed for as long as possible, not how many gens are still up.
And as a counter to 3+ kills = auto win, the entity doesn't want you to just insta kill people in the first place. It wants the survivors to feel hope from almost winning a match (or making progress of some kind) and just having it ripped away from them (at least from how I can understand it). If you have a guarantied win, just mess with the survivors for a bit. Let unhooks happen and get more free points.
They need to comunicate that WAY more man, I'm an active member of forums and play EVERY game and I didn't know about the changes, we need the actual numbers pinned in the main page of every website for this "gen rushers" movement to stop.
And about my 3k+ being an instant pip up I still think this should work (I mean 3 hooks per survivor 3k+), you (killer) wanna tunnel to get a kill that's on you, we're gonna escape cause you didn't make us heal or waste time on other things, wanna make me focus on gens cause you want a kill and you're gonna camp and tunnel, be my guest. Now, important, I wasn't especific about it, my bad, 3k+ by mori shouldn't work the same as a three hooks sacrifice.
