Decrease vault speed, it just feels awful when not running bamboozle on them.

Agreed, but it isn't the worst which is why I'd be fine if it was left alone. If they do add Frank's Mixtape base it would kinda suck if Legion jumped vaults and pallets like Sonic and downed you with no way too counter it.

  • @UlvenDagoth said:

Yeah alot of this is talked about in my thread (sorry to bring it up so much but its relevant and has about 6 pages of this)

Mob Mentality is an interesting Idea there. I think myself that removing TR during FF and making KI be on a radius would help, as well as buffing FF speed in vaults and just in general. Also getting rid of the stupid things like "Lose 50% of your power for m1ing" Which is a punishment FOR DOING WELL. "Can not see blood in FF." WHY?! it's a FERAL Frenzy.

But yeah, buffing Legion as they hit people in FF was another idea... its all there take a look, give feedback KEEP IT ALIVE SO DEVS SEE THAT WE WANT IT!

Thing is, the devs DO know what people want, they've commented on multiple discussions about legion, and it's always the same. "he get's lots of kills so we feel he is in a good spot and won't be touched." My fear is the they'll do Legion like Freddy, where it'll be years before he gets touched and when it finally happens he becomes top tier.

  • @StarMoral said:

I wouldnt mind him having 110% movement speed again, that way they can balance him to actually be a threat around loops... Almost like that's THE THEME OF THIS KILLER? To be relentless, feeling like you're surrounded. I mean yes, his ability is called FERAL FRENZY.

Ugh, rant done, I just want my boy to be buffed.

Same, he's got cool cosmetics and more coming down the line, and I want him too now be bullied.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/95961/legion-mains-what-do-you-want-as-a-buff-for-them

What I really want Legion to just get a complete power rework. Freddy style.

    As for your thoughts:

Point 1 I agree with so much. IIRC that feature was NOT supposed to make it to live because of how many people complained about it, but it did anyway because Legion.

Point 2 would be horrible. It already takes way too long to recharge a power that can't be used to down a Survivor IMO. Spirit's cooldown is much quicker and she becomes faster than Legion, invisible, can see scratchmarks, AND can down Survivors. Why would you want the Feral Frenzy recharge to take longer?

Point 3 I disagree with. I don't think Killers have any business knowing the progression of the Mend Timer outside of scenarios like old Legion where you'd just bypass all defense mechanics until they bleed out or you smacked them down. And those scenarios are ones I don't think improve Legion or the game.

Point 4 I disagree with. Part of the issue with Old Legion was that they could just tunnel one Survivor with Feral Frenzy and get a guaranteed down. It's horribly inefficient from the Killer side because you have to wait for your power to recharge, and horribly unfun from the Survivor side because your counterplay is incredibly limited. IMO Legion being able to down Survivors in Feral Frenzy should just be removed and Frank's Mixtape should get an effect that's actually useful.

Point 2 was meant too make decrease the amount of time, not increase it, that's bad wording on my part.

Point 3: It really wouldn't be that much a change because you'll be either tunneled or left alone, so it doesn't change anything if someone like Trapper saw the Deep Wound timer, and Legion needs the info the most if he uses Frank's Mixtape because otherwise there is no way too tell how low someone is.

Point 4: Old Legion was unfun because he could do it in 2 hits, but those addons aren't in the game anymore. And being tunneled can happen with any killer, not just Legion, so it really wouldn't be that bad a change on paper since it's nothing any other killer can do.

  • @StarMoral said:

Map Pressure and Lethality, the two things he really lacks right now.

He can stall out a game like nobody's business... But kind of like Plague, if they can do loops without needing to heal, that kind of makes his whole shtick a little pointless. Except unlike Plague, other survivors can heal without benefiting you.

His best build right now is to slow down gens to a grinding halt so survivors are forced to waste time healing or try and do the gen anyway. Thing is, his only downing method is M1ing, and that's not great.

Agreed, which is why I want the changes too actually make him a threat, while not making him un-fun and un-counterable.

  • @Liruliniel said:

Revert Legion back to 110 M/S version and addons. Fix the moon walking glitch, rework Frank's mixtapes, and keep the terror radius effect. Add a debuff action speed penalty of 55% for not mending (does not affect mending). Keep the recharge bar for hitting a non mending survivor cant remember if that was before or after rework. Fire the Dev who suggested these changes.

Happy Legion Mains, Happy Survivors, Progress.

I like these except the MS. One of my biggest problems with Old Legion was the MS since it was so easy too bully him through loops and waste a lot of time since he needed too use Feral Frenzy too take people down.

  • Honestly it's just personal preference on who you Prestige first, but I would say Huntress because she has much more cosmetics that work well with the bloody outfits. Pig is getting another costume, but compared too Huntress it's not even close.

Plus, Huntress is very good at red ranks, while Pig will suffer against cordinated red rank survivors.

  • @WickedKatz said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/762529#Comment_762529

I am a pt3, and i have p1 wraith, adept on both, red rank on killer.

But not everyone is. GrootDude is a Bubba main and I'm sure he does really well with him at red ranks, but that doesn't mean an average Bubba will do well against an average red rank team. Simply put, just because one person is god with a low tier killer doesn't mean everyone can, and too say "well I do good with X Killer" is not fair nor an actual argument IMO.

  • @Liruliniel said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/762805#Comment_762805

Shes become a joke honestly. Functional, but a shadow of something once called Nuse. I honestly hate what shes become I feel robbed as a survivor I really enjoyed the chases with good to god Nurses. Her being Nerfed for low rank survivors who can't learn anything about the game are truely ruining it.

Agreed. They didn't even give her anything too compensate for the lack of blinks live MS or better recovery. "little changes too base" my butt.

  • @Liruliniel said:

Just starting out. Killers are in the favored position. As survivors get more acquainted with the game it becomes survivor sided heavily.

Yep, and it really isn't changing because Nurse is getting nerfed pretty bad, but survivors no longer have insta heals.

I'm sorry, do you not like being able to walk around the map with 0 terror radius and no whoosing sound? That is a buff. The stalk was way worse and they fixed it in the patch that you call a "nerf". The update was a massive buff, not a nerf. I wanted it. I am glad I got it. Excuse my attitude, I can't help but roll my eyes when someone says that the best thing to happen to GF was a "nerf".

-A P3-50 GF who plays him religiously

he did get buffed in that update, yes, but they also made the detection range a lot bigger, which makes it harder too stalk people since i'll usually be behind a wall and still get pulled out. Either way, it was still changes 80% of the community didn't want, and they did it anyway.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

Everytime before items or add-ons get nerfed, people try to use them up. It's a normal reaction.

It's normal and kinda dumb IMO since they are still powerful, they simply now require some thought too use.

  • @Todgeweiht said:

    It penalizes survivors laziness.

I remember watching an Spanish streamer that said he runned NOED to counter "clowns that rushed trough gens"

That man is my spirit animal. It's so true too, you are literally playing as a 3 perk killer for the entire game with the chance that survivors don't cleanse totems.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/762408#Comment_762408

From what I remember I was playing with Freddy with one of the dream pallet add ons that show survivor auras. I didn't feel like I was playing any better than normal. I was just taken aback by being accused of cheating. But then again. . . poor sports.

I got accused of cheating a while back as well. I've also been reported for simply playing with bad internet (literally got told too not play killer because of it). Unless you are actually breaking the rules the devs won't ban you. some survivors are simply toxic and entitled too a free win, just report them for toxicity and move on, not much else you can do though.

  • @Rydog said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/762348#Comment_762348

    Community managers aren't game developers.

@Peanits started a Q&A thread a few days ago to collect questions about the upcoming patch, so I suspect that is where they are trying to centralize their response to any pertinent concerns.

Doesn't mean they aren't devs themselves, and even if they aren't they can still help the devs with testing and whatnot.

  • How I dictate if I win or not is simple. 0-1K is a loss, 2K is a tie, 3-4K is a win. If we went with if you pipped or not then most people would have a less then 50% win rate. The ranking system is bad, because i've gotten 4k before at 5 gens (one died on the ground because I couldn't find him) and I depipped. Ranking system is dumb so I don't go off of it.

  • They are probably hard at work getting the Mid Chapter patch ready for launch. We can't expect them too be on 24/7. I had a mod on my discussion because people were getting unruly. Plus, a lot of the discussion have been repeats of other posts, so it's kind of a time waste too repeat the same thing over and over again.

  • usually I never do, I don't even give hatch most of the time, but if it's clearly 4 babies who have no idea what a "loop" is then I'm gonna go easy on them. No point in being sweaty too a bunch of people who don't know what a "Plague" is xD.

  • @RakimSockem said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/95889/sweaty-killers

Usually the only times I call a killer sweaty is:

    • Coming in with a Black Ward (usually meaning they're running some crazy adds ons that's about to make the game miserable for me)
    • Slugging for a 4k, especially when there's still like 4 or 5 gens still up and we've barely got anything done. You've already won at that point. Just hook the person and search for hatch when it spawns. Unless you get crappy RNG, your faster speed basically assures that the killer reaches it first anyway.
    • Running an Ebony Mori AND Ultra Rare add ons together (Iri heads, one shot clown bottle, etc)

    Pretty much this.

  • Low tier killers need buffs like Legion, Bubba, and Wraith for killer side. Really hate the fact you have too play the "Meta 4" just too win against optimal survivors.

DS needs too deactivate if someone else is hooked. Right now survivors abuse the heck out of it by simply doing gens or forcing a locker pull, so even if you hooked 2 other people they still have ds and can still kill all pressure you have.

Adrenalin is annoying, but I feel that all Exhaustion perks are in the end, they aren't really unbalanced, but Balanced Landing is dumb in the fact you always recover so fast when falling, when all other perks completely deactivate when Exhausted, so I would like Balanced too be a part of that as well. It would make haddonfield a less toxic map for killers.

Gen rushing needs too be stopped. Really tired of survivors simply holding m1 and winning in 5 mins. Either add a second objective or add more gen speed, but killers need more time too do their job.

Spirit needs an addon rework. I hate playing against one because it rarely ever feels like I outskilled the Spirit, it more feels like I simply got lucky. She's the most unfun killer for me too fight, even worse then gen slow Freddy.

And for both sides, I hate map offerings. Yes they are needed, but I hate when a SWF brings a haddonfield offering, pretty much the only time I DC because those games are just boring, toxic, and full of sweat. I would enjoy if they brought back yellow map offerings, so that way there isn't a 100% chance of getting the map, but green offerings may as well say "you're going too this map, enjoy"

Finally, there are just way too many dumb bugs in a 3 year old game. They may not be game breaking, but getting stuck in pallets or the animations and models breaking are just things that are unacceptable in a 3 year old game with the massive team they have. I would love if they would have weekly patches too iron out these bugs.

The game overrall is pretty balanced, but their are some very bad parts that need too be looked at. I really hope they stop balancing for green ranks and start making the game for red ranks, because that would make the game a lot of fun personally.

  • @bendermac said:

The last week I haven't played the new map a single time. I also leveled GF and didn't get a single map offering for it in the bloodweb. What's going on?

I got it 4-5 times the first day, but ever since I get it maybe 1-2 times a day. My guess is survivors got into the main frame and made it a 1% map.

  • It would be cool for the left handed people, but I don't know how many left handed people play DBD. it should be an option instead of an actual killer's viewmodel personally.

Ahhh, you're one of the ones who think the Ghost Face "nerf" was a bad update for him. Hm. Says a lot.

Well it was, especially since no one wanted it and it was unneeded since he had plenty of counterplay already, they just made it easier for no reason. Stop being snarky and add too the discussion.

  • @Theoretical_Heart said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/761832#Comment_761832

Well that was all within the last 6 months (during my absence) like I said it used to be different. The Devs used to communicate with us. I've been playing since Nurse (who was the first DLC).

BHVR used to be WAY more open. Like I said, weekly streams from them talking about this stuff. They only seem to stream for new chapters now... sad.

Yea, I've had the game since Pig, but I didn't get fully into it until Clown came out. They do remember the livestreams, but now-a-days they only have the dev updates everyone month, I agree that the devs could do a lot better about talking too the community.

  • @Theoretical_Heart said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/761822#Comment_761822

No disrespect meant by this but when did you start playing? Because when I was playing the Devs absolutely addressed issues with the community. They LITERALLY had a weekly live-stream discussing this kind of stuff.

As long as I've been playing they haven't. patch 3.0.0 is a perfect example. Were half the perks were broken and bugged, but they never said a word on any of them, simply fixed it and moved on. They simply don't talk about major problems and just change it. Another example was the GhostFace nerfs on launch, where most of the community were begging BVHR too not nerf him, and they did it anyway.

  • @Gibberish said:

The Totem system in general is bad and should be totally reworked.

Even if they were to "make totem spawns better" there is literally nothing to stop experienced Survivors from learning all the possible spawn locations. Changing totem spawn locations literally only affects newbies.

So true. even on Underground Complex, which has amazing totem spots, it's never a shock when it gets popped in 2 mins. Totem perks need reworks IMO.

  • umm, you're missing over half of the chapters. This is an incomplete tier list. But for what you have, Curtain Call personally should be higher. Clown is great, the map is really good, and Kate is Kate.

  • @Theoretical_Heart said:

I see that BHVR was successfully able to ignore the community's concerns over the time & difficulty of the Rift. So much so there is not a single thread on the first page any longer. All without ever making a statement.

Depressing. If anyone is listening BHVR please talk to us. I REALLY want to buy the premium pass but not if casual players can't finish it.

BHVR never addresses concerns like this. If it's something small they do, but otherwise they simply change it or they don't when it hits live. Right now casual's can't complete the battle pass with the required time, but when it hits live they could reduce the grind so casual players can have a chance. We won't know till it hits live, and if they change nothing then don't buy the battle pass, speak with your wallet.

In some situations when you confused and don't know where is the killer - its better to stay near to pallet imo.

And I said maybe it will be good buff for already existing perk - Premonition.

Not really, staying near the pallet when he's mindgaming is a 50/50 gamble. If he's mindgaming you simply need too read it, and that just takes practice.

Also, adding it too existing perks won't make them suddenly useful. Why run premonition when Spine Chill does what it does but much better already?

  • @Aztreonam78 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760815#Comment_760815

Mm, do you mean Dead Hard also shouldn't exist? Its a perk allowing Survivor to do mistake hopefully without getting punished.

Dead Hard is fine because it's incredibly easy too bait out, and if done wrong always results in a survivor being hooked. Dead hard has nothing too do with what I said though. Back too the original discussion, it simply seems you don't know how too not panic drop pallets, and how too mindgame. Adding a bad perk won't fix the issue.

  • Same for me. I wanted too get my Adept Freddy, and it was horrible. It took me 5 games because 3 games people escaped with a Key, and there's no counterplay too them anymore so it's a free escape and the other 2 had a DC so I automatically lost. Even after every medkit has a insta heal in it, and everyone bring Prove Thyself and the shroud addon and just gen rush.

  • @Aztreonam78 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760781#Comment_760781

Its important to hear lunge sound when Killer hides his red stain. It will hopefully give me more chances to avoid stupid hits through pallets..

Getting hit through a pallet means you simply didn't drop it in time. If you think your gonna get hit, just dont drop it and use the boost of speed too get distance. A common mistake is dropping it too late and wasting both a pallet and the speed gain. I can't see any reason a perk should be made simply because you made a mistake in the chase.

  • @Mc_Harty said:

Mind breaker is good for ambush style killers or to stall already active exhaustion perks.

Even then though it's still pretty gimmicky. I mean, if it was 5-10 seconds then it would be good, but right now 3 seconds is literally a pallet stun, so one stun and you'll have it back like it was not even gone.

  • Why not just look behind you? There is no real reason too hear the lunge unless you have Dead Hard, and even then you can still look behind while moving in a proper direction. Adding it too a perk or making it a standalone perk would not change anything, and would fall too the wasteside.

  • No, currently if someone is doing something that unsafe you will get a return hook, and a free hit on the person who was saved. it's fine as is, if you can't capitalize on it then that's on you.

Because I hate them with every fiber of my being.

  • @CrowFoxy said:

I've had 6 syringe games in a row, live is crazy right now.

Same. Everyone is bringing insta heals, makes playing killer harder then usual since every medkit is an insta heal.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

well you can't blame people for using stuff that's getting changed or nerfed

I absolutely can. Insta heals are bs and should of been nerfed years ago.

  • @Nekoo said:

if a survivor do that, from the time they get off a hook to doing a gen and get spotted by you, then run to a locker, should be 20~30 sec.

I would wait that 30 sec, that little time for another hook, not to mention its the second hook/death hook, Id say that's a good deal

waiting that 30 seconds will more then likely cost you in the end. that's almost half of a gen that's done because you waited, and this isn't including things like Toolboxes and Prove Thyself.

  • @UltraBanana said:

I'm a killer main and I want her nerfed into the ground. Too many bad killers carried by her being OP, same with spirit.

Looking forward to some spirit nerfs and then maybe survivor will be worth playing again without having to face the ~big three~ like 80% of my games.

This is just silly IMO. Nurse is not a bad killer crutch, it takes a lot of time and skill too master her, so if you are dying too her the killer is probably not bad.

And Spirit and Nurse never need/needed base changes, only addon changes. Base Spirit and Nurse was strong but fun too fights, new Nurse is clunky and unfun, and I hope the base changes don't hit lives because it would kill one of the only red rank viable killers in the game.

  • @dbizzle said:

obviously i know something about the game im playing it

    No, you really don't.

A: Being exposed is not permanent unless it's a perma EW 3 myers. So if you go down too expose you probably did something wrong in the loop.

B: If anyone could revive themselves when down, then there would be no way too get a 4k unless the survivors stacked on each other. It's meant this way for a reason.

C: No offerings override another unless it's the same offering used multiple times, and no perks can be overridden by an offering. Spine Chill simply can't be stopped by an offering. It's not possible.

D: There is no warning music, there is a Terror Radius, which is usually 32 meters on most killers, 24 on others. But you don't need the Terror Radius too see killers, just use your eyes and be observent since some killers can have no terror radius if they are stealth based.

E: Only way a killer can kill someone with their weapon is either a Mori, which require hooking a survivor at least once, or Devour Hope and Rancor, and those tell you they are active so you should be more careful and stealthy too not get mori'd. It's not possible for a survivor too die with no hooks unless it's the obsession with Rancor.

  • @TheGorgon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/760285#Comment_760285

You're getting one answer... it's really the only justified one. Just wait out the decisive strike or bait a head on. It really isn't hard to not tunnel.

It isn't tunneling when a survivor is doing a gen infront of you, then they run into a locker and force you too eat a DS. That is the exact opposite of tunneling. DS right now needs a simply change, make it where it de-activates if someone else is hooked. That way survivors can't use it for garbage plays because they have a "get out of jail free" card.

  • I agree that DS in it's current state is dumb. It's meant as an anti tunneling perk, but it just gives survivors a "get out of jail free" card. Honestly, it needs too deactivate if someone else was hooked, that way it can only be used for anti tunneling, and not for free wins on the survivor for playing like garbage.

  • yea I try to do it as well, but any time they just get defensive and toxic. I once had a Nancy camp god pallet, she got hit through it, she dropped it, then used an insta heal, and this was not even a minute into the match. Told her that this was a bad play and she simply should of ran when hit for the speed boost, but she just called me a toxic killer main.

Sometimes you can't change people, so you just gotta let them fail for a while until they learn their mistakes. It sucks since you know they can improve, but that's how it is sometimes.

  • @premiumRICE said:

    Servers work fine to me.

Besides some weird hiccups I have too agree. There are still problems, yes, but they are working a lot better.

And as for OP, how do you expect the devs too test anything if people don't test it? I think what they did was fine tbh, they needed data, no one wanted too do it, so they forced everyone's hands too improve the games health. Using real money too test dedicated servers are something they already do, they already have a testing team. If you don't want too improve the game, don't play then and wait till Dedicated Servers are perfect, but I'm fine with them putting it live because people didn't want too test anything.

because as a halloween fan, I want to play my favorite killer, how about that?

That's fine, but not all killers get bloodpoints equally, so if you are playing solely too earn bloodpoints then Myers isn't the best choice.

  • Best backstory for survivor is Jeff. I always feel bad when an animal is left with the short end of the stick, and the fact he's the first original survivor too have a connection with a killer is cool.

Best backstory for killer is Freddy. I may be biased because I love Freddy, but I like the fact the backstory actually continues from where the movie left off.

Worst backstory for survivor are the original 4. None of them have anything really going on, and their stories kinda suck.

Worst Killer backstory is Myers. Myer's actual story is awesome, but the paragraph he gets in DBD is so pointless, it may as well be blank.

Do you keep progress achieved in a game if you disconnect?

If so I can see people disconnecting not only when they think they won't make any or much progress, but the opposite. Done with a long or difficult task? Time to disconnect to switch to the next one to maximize your progression.

No you do not. You have too complete the trial in order too get the challenge progress.

  • I prestige because the blood cosmetics are cool. I only do it for killer because Survivors have literally nothing going for them when prestigeing. Plus, up until recently, most licensed killers didn't get cosmetics, so the Prestige gear was the only way too customize them.
