They wont uncap blood points because i think they do not know how

How is dead harding for distance any different then, lithe, sprint burst, or balanced landing. They all grant 150% speed for 3 seconds, which if I am doing my math right is a ~5m distance gain on the killer (4m/s * 150% = 6m/s for 3 seconds = 18 meters of distance traveled, killer travels 4.6*3 - 13.8 m or 4.4*3=13.2 m depending on running speed).

After dead hard do all these other perks need to get nerfed next?

Of course, perks should grant the user of the perk an advantage when used?

The difference is usage. Dh is on demand, while a skilled sb user needs to learn how to 99 sb or not have it up. Lithe you have to find a window or pallet to vault. But with dh, just press a button and viola.

  • Doing bones is an amazing counter to a perk that does all those things. If your team can not do gens and bones because "time" Then the killer was going to win anyways because he didnt have 4 perks to begin with.

In other words. To be very very clear. People who complain about noed is infact bad at the game. And their team is crap as well. Hello twitter.

Sure you can say "ohh but i was camped and i got hit by noed and died" well, tough tatas. It happens in maybe 1 out of 3 games?

You can run perks you can bring a map. But no. Still not enough.

Yes, 3 Survivors being dead is a loss, as they've left The Trial, and can't come back. 5 Generators being finished is the same as the Killer getting 2 Hooks on every Survivor

Bro how do people not understand this by now. And he is arguing semantics about solo in a team based game.

Not quite. If a survivor is alive, they individually have not lost.

I bet youre the type to leave your teammates on the hook saying "sorry nothing i could of done"

  • Very nice read man. Imma try it on legion when rework happens and i reinstall the game!

I read this whole conversation, and I have some thoughts.

    1. Why do you think slugging (which isn't against the rules and has no penalty) is comparable to disconnecting from the match (which is against the rules and does have a penalty)? I get that you don't like being slugged, but not liking something in the game doesn't make it comparable to something that is explicitly against the TOS of the game.

    2. Why are you so certain people playing against you in a video game want to "ruin your day"? No matter what side I play, or even what game, I promise I don't think about anyone I played with 30 seconds after the match is over unless they are such toxic pieces of ######### that they stand out. I just don't think the level of Animus exists that you seem to believe does in this game. The person playing killer is out to get your character, not you as a person.

    3. I replied to this post if yours specifically because it sounds like you didn't like how a discussion was going, so tried to talk ######### to someone in a private message only to find they disabled it. I'm hoping there's some other, less juvenile explanation, but I'm having serious difficulties thinking of one..

Its because some survivors have a victim complex

  • @ArchAbhor said:

There was a genius idea i heard idk who i heard this from. When you are the last survivor instead of the hatch or trying to go for a door you initiate a different egc. End game chase. Where so many pallets respawn based on how many gens were done. Then the killer sees the last survivors aura if they are far away. Then after a set amount of time if the killer cannot catch the survivor then the survivor escapes. If the killer catches them they get to mori.

To me it seems way more engaging and more in line with the way we play the game now. Less immersed and more about the chase. Which is the most fun aspect of the game.

Ooo a 2 min timer where the doors slowly but automatically opens within the 2 min? And the survivor has to escape thru it? I could get behind that.

I still can't believe there are still people trying to kill the boons. You are creating too many problems for a mechanic where only ONE of the perks is broken or was it depending on the new nerf ( CoH).

SHOULD THE KILLER BE ABLE TO PERMANENTLY DESTROY THE BOONS? NO.

Imagine bringing a perk like Boon: exponential which is a very situational perk by the way that can be destroyed by the killer. Does not make sense.

SHOULD BOONS LOSE POWER EACH TIME THEY ARE PLACED? NO.

Imagine bringing a perk like Boon: dark theory which is an ok perk that weakens every time it is placed, imagine you using it with 1% speed bonus. Beware killer mains, you will never be able to catch me due to this perk because I AM THE SPEEEEEEED.

SHOULD BOONS HAVE TOKENS AND LOSE EACH ONE WHEN USED BY A SURVIVOR? NO.

imagine bringing a perk like Boon: shadow step that according to theory would have 3-5 tokens, you would automatically lose 1 token by simply activating the boon? or lose 1 token every time someone enters the boon radius and leaves? if someone accidentally entered the radius and left soon after you would lose 1 token for free because in theory you would be using it.

    SHOULD CoH BE DELETED? YES.

    BOONS ARE FINE.

My only issue with boons is how janky it feels to snuff em

  • Honestly. What @GoodBoyKaru is saying. He is right. Take a break. It will do wonders. Im currently on a break and i dont feel nearly as burnt out.

Play elden ring. Such a fun game. Play warframe. They are by a dev company from canada and hoooly fk there is a lot of content for free players. I mean insane amount really

Which is wrong. The survivor can always do something to get out of their predicament.

Oh i know hense why i quoted instead of just saying it. I do not agree with slingers or billys nerf at all

  • And i quote "because deathslinger makes it a lose-lose in a chase with a survivor"

  • I take breaks. Right now im enjoying the 5 characters i made on elden ring. Also guardians of the galaxy game

  • @Vampwire said:

I would advocate this if it weren't for the fact that some killers put you in lose/lose scenarios without DH. I think if DH were to get nerfed that would need to be addressed as well. I'm by no means saying that it's balanced or healthy. But many of the good survivors run it expecting these sorts of situations. i.e a ranged killer is going to barely clip you after turning a corner, zoned out by an ability, trying to not get hit through a window 1 second after vaulting. Some may say that these are deserved, but I disagree. The killer will eventually gain enough distance on you that those abilities are unavoidable. And it doesn't take as long as you would think. And zoning is not a playstyle that should be promoted. It eventually becomes less of a skillful play and more "no you can't do x because I can do y". Equally comparable to DH, maybe even stronger as it doesn't require a perk slot.

Balancing every single killer power to account for this would be very hard and would probably take a long time. But if we truly want a "balanced" dbd, or as close as we can get to one, then we need to account for both parties.

I disagree. Purely because if how many times i out played a survivor only for them to out play me with a single button.

Lets face it, the dh lovers/mains are hypocritical as well. If a killer had a perk/power that allows them to out play your outplay as a survivor, every survivor would be up in arms. I mean biggest example: spirit stand still mind game. Everyone hated it. Everyone. I mean maybe except gann. But everyone. You couldnt scroll in a spirit thread with out someone saying that.

Lose/lose situations are fine and needs to happen. Survivors shouldnt be nearly as strong as they are. (Coming from someone who has been playing 60/40 surv). I honestly feel like surviving should dictate your skill in what is supposed to be underdog class.

  • I disagree and feel like body blocking at a hook could be more consistant

  • @impulse_90 said:

    Exactly as the title says.

Playing killer at mid-high levels just isn't fun in any single way at all.

You have to play like a sweatlord to win a game, hell even just to down one player some of the time.

Then when you lose you get tbagged at the gate and trash talked post game chat for whatever reason.

Like are the developers of this game actually this blind to what's going on in their game?

It really is atrocious that they've allowed this game to spiral so far down this path to the point where the player numbers are starting to show a very concerning trend.

The game since last August has had a player count drop of 56% on steam (hate to think of the playercount drop on console)

This shows that players are not happy with the state of the game and most haven't been happy with the state of it well before SBMM came into play.

I think a major issue is the way the game is now played even in mid tier levels where killers tunnel and survivors either get bored of holding M1 all game on a gen or get sick of dealing with camping/tunnelling killers. Problem is camping/tunnelling is the only viable strat in the current meta because patrolling gens generally gets you nothing.

The fact that this stupid gamestyle hasn't been addressed and moreover the fact that the survivor role hasn't been tuned since release concerns me the most. They simply just keep adding more and more characters which means more and more perks and it's just digging that grave even deeper at this point.

A game should not make you even more frustrated when you reach higher levels, it should feel rewarding and give you a sense of achievement which this game currently does not. No matter what role I play it's just never ending frustration.

In summary I really do hope they turn this around because I used to have fun with the game and did like it alot once upon a time but if they allow it to continue down the path it's going well then... good riddance dbd.

I hate giving this advice, purely because its a meme at this point. But its generally good advice. Take a break and play something else man. I feel you. I have to take a break too. If youre looking for fun games tho. Elden ring is the best ive played in a while.

  • Watch your mouth and git gud

  • And here we are. Tinkerer nerf posts. Woo. We made it boys!..

Tinkerer doesnt need a nerf or a change.

"Ohh gee killer loses terror radius and im in solo queue therefore perk is too strong pls nerf"

Seriously? Ya dont see how this line of thinking becomes problematic? Because some of you solo queue, you feel like killers perks need to be nerfed because its too strong for solo queue?

I mean for full on whataboutism here, why doesnt oblivious effect spine chill? Not very fair for killers is it?

"Oh just turn your head so you arent facing the survivor"

But so far this argument is straight. "Whaaa tinkerer is hard... i hate it. Whaaa it hurts solo queue whaaa"

"Whaaa it activates multiple times so killers can defend their gens to help with there progress in the match and stops ours. This isnt fair whaaa"

No. I am pretty sure you are so far proving their point. It was a dumb question, and you're being salty now for being called out on it. I know quite a few people with lots of hours in the game and still think that blocking someone actually does something to the matchmaking. This game really doesn't teach players much the longer they play, that only happens if someone takes it upon themselves to actually research the information.

    1 day later. Cool. Cool.

Anyways, blocking wont work. I was asking if he was new so i could point him in the right direction of information. Thank you for your input. Amazing job really. We done here or am i gonna have to come back in like 12 hours to read a response telling me how i feel? Cant wait. Its more exciting then waiting for a match of hoc..dbd

    Well that's adorable

Your "favorite response"...is the objectively true and matter-of-fact status that voice-coms is effectively steroids for teams, being a means of cooperation & coordination that inherently & indisputably boosts gameplay in a game where players are normally unable to even type something as mundane but potentially momentum changing as "trap right there."

You cannot eliminate all that inherent chaos and mistakes which constitutes normal gameplay and pretend its remotely the same still. The impact id inherent and immeasurable. Doesn't take "seal team 6" or guaranteed wins---it's about a performance booster per given team over their real ability to perform in that match under normal gameplay conditions.

It's as much a steroids booster as someone playing with sound in the world of the deaf.

    But what a lark!

Meanwhile your only/entire rebuttal of the facts.... is repeating their position in some mocking tone while no-irony, honest to God actually pinging a friend to back you up over like, I guess, what a jabroni this jabroni must be or something... trying to invalidate the position by force of number/popularity/pressure and not a single logical positions or valid counter points. Delightful.

For the record, people pushing for the balanced & quality game format that does/can exist--yet which has been buried by the developers trying to accommodate two incompatible gameplay conditions as if they're identical--isn't about oppressing you.

Cite "MAH FRIENDS" all you want, though it's really "HOW DARE U OBJECT TO PLAYIN WITH (that cheat-level booster for) MAH FRIENDZ!"

So first off. Tl;dr. Second off. Have you tried not taking things so seriously? Man..

  • @SS007 said:

SWF is similar to cheating it's unfair for solo q survivors and for killers and at least make it that you can only play with 1 other friend max because 4 stack swf is just too brutal and unfair.

If it’s not relevant to the thread and you’re going to derail it, no?

it’s a simple suggestion in aid to block campers, cheaters, disconnects or a casual playlist would be a nice start.

No need for anyone to be hostile etc, just here for a chill discussion on the subject :)

No one is being hostile. Im asking because i doubt you have a lot of hours in dbd. If you did, you would understand why exactly this is a bad idea. It would act only as a bandaid fix, and then be abused by everyone else. These are the same reasons why they cant slow down hook progression while being camped because survivors would take advantage and loop by the hook. Infact it has happened.

I do how ever believe that people who are so quick to play the victim card, probably should self evaluate situations and realize "no one is out to get me". I also feel like you know you dont have a lot of hours, so you just wanted to avoid the question by playing a victim card screaming "he is being hostile".

  • Just humor me and answer pls

  • @t0007319 said:

I’m happier with longer queue times to be fair

How many hours you have in the game?

  • I enjoy solo queue. Less stress tbh. I dont care if my teammates die and they dont care if i die.

(Dont get me wrong im not gonna leave em on the hook. But if i wanna escape and someone is on the hook, i would choose the escape. ((Esp if its a challenge)))

  • @MonsterInMyMind said:

or here's an idea run Dragons Grip if you're tired of people tapping gens.

You ever run insidious, dragon grip killer? You kick a gen that has progress and wait for a survivor to come back and touch the gen?

  • @SpaghettiYOLO said:

Since I stream whenever I play, Nightbot starts a timer every single match. That alone is a huge help in determining if someone is cheating or time has slipped away from you. I had a gen pop in 30 seconds at the beginning of one match, yet Bitter Murmur showed only one survivor and I was near two others. The fourth was actually not far from where I was, but still nowhere near the gen that had popped.

Cheaters also LOVE Self Care. That doesn't mean be suspicious of everybody that uses it. Just keep note of any suspected cheater's place on the map, if they're with somebody, if a Boon is in play, etc. They always expose themselves with their Self Care speed if you pay attention to them.

How do you get the timer for nightbot?

Let me be very very clear to everyone who sees this post.

I do not condone stream sniping. Personally i believe its as scummy as using wall hacks. My post is about streamers who always cry and complain about stream sniping. Even it they got outplayed countered by legit means. Then they cry about being stream sniped and how they are being tunneled and targeted by ttvers.

Personally im from era where if you are broadcasting, then you want the smoke anyway someone can bring it. A lot of streamers, Esp in this game kinda seem like cry babies and toxic dholes.

To me streaming is like split screen. You wish the other player isnt looking at your screen, but they probably are so deal with it.

Unless they're harassing you directly (bigotry, violating Twitch TOS, or raiding you. Report them.), Ignore them.

Now, here we have a bit of an issue. Because under Twitch Community Guidelines, and subsequently Twitch TOS, stream sniping is directly bannable.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/8NSYZBDHBBBD/image.png

Moreover, section 9(9) of the TOS states that a user may not:

"interfere with or damage the operation of the Twitch Services or any user’s enjoyment of them, by any means, including uploading or otherwise disseminating viruses, adware, spyware, worms, or other malicious code;"

Obviously this can be taken in many ways, and I'm sure that this would entirely depend on the judge on the day and their particular interpretation of the phrase "any user's enjoyment", but if someone were to find substantially less enjoyment in being stream sniped, it is entirely possible that it is also against Twitch TOS.

    Oooo a grey area. Nice.

Ehhhh, it's still a super cringey thing to do (stream sniping). Nobody wants to put ttv in their name. Not the streamer's fault that discoverability on twitch is terrible. I don't quite get the thought process on killing the vibe of someone's stream or making their part time job miserable. Just play the game and move on.

While i do agree with you. I also wanna point out the fact its still going to happen cause of the nature of dbd.

    @SonicOffline said:

If you really are worried about snipers, then just delay the stream by like 30-40 seconds. That's not enough to make it impossible to interact with chat, but it does completely nullify any streamsniping advantage you'd get.

Yea. But idc about being streamsniped because honestly, once i leave the game the odds of facing them again is low as it is.

  • @pizzaduffyhp90 said:

I've had TTV in my name for a bit and I don't complain if someone Snipes might or whatever cause I put TTV in my name I'm not gonna get mad cause it's a risk I'll take.
