Okay so why would it not be an obsession perk?
-
Theres nothing wrong with nurse in the current state of the game.... when the changes that need to be fixed happen then maybe we could make suggestions ... even as nurse is now shes not OP. . When I started playing I couldn't just hop on and 4k even at rank 20... because nurse rewards the player for getting better doesn't mean she needs rework or she needs nerf
-
They want people to see who has what.... this way killer can prep for what survivors have and survivors can work with each other... it's also why survivors have a chat in the beginning and end game lobby...... this idea would only set the game back a step
-
I agree with this

The salt that drips off the survivor that's hanging on the hook 😏

When I play survivor I play solo... it's a rare moment when I SWF I do main killer..... when you make the statement "I 4k every match" it's easy to take it that way apologies... right now matchmaking is horrible... hopefully whatever the devs are cooking up will helpPoweas said:@Bravo0413 said:

I face Nurses, Hags and Spirits. 50% of my games. It is hard. I never said killer isn't hard so dont go putting words in my mouth (it's an expression. Dont assume I'm entitled like 60% of the people who play survivor.) I play both sides equally and have a hard time with solo. Have you even seen the teams you get. It's stupid. I've had a team that died in 4 minutes to a Freddy they tried to bully. I did 2 gens, unhooked some people and got the hatch. Just play solo survivor and actually get good at it (i'm assuming you're a decent killer which u probably aren't but I'll assume it). Then come back and tell me if solo is ez and tell me all about ur teammates you get. People always assume because I say I 4k a lot that I instantly think killer is easy. .-. I know killer is harder than survivor.

DCs count as deaths, suicides on hooks etc..... the Halloween event may be included as well.... like theres just too many flaws that are to be considered to even think about saying that killer has the favor... the game is moving in the right direction but the devs need to stop nerfing and start implementing new stuff for survivors to do...

Surviellance is the worst killer perk but it opened the door for changes to older perks ---> tinkerer and bittermurmur for instance, both these perks can be argued to be different versions of surveillance.... the worse thing is the devs seem to not mention surveillance at all... we know surviellance is supposed to be that perk that's especially good on Pig but its.... just.... not good at all... I'd like an increase in the timer on the perk... it doesnt need a rework it just needs a increase in time to use 16 seconds.... you cant kick 3 gens 16 seconds 🙄
-
These numbers are still flawed.... the devs didnt take a large portion of time when collecting the data and the event even if it was a small portion of the event is still included and survivors didnt care about escaping they just wanted the flowers.... most times they would end up killing themselves... also matchmaking is horrible (i'm excited to see what changes the team is making).. until the team addresses end game and matchmaking I dont see these numbers really amounting to much.... this isnt because killer is finally the power role (killer is in a better spot then it was a few months back) this is because of matchmaking and newer players and events hindering the stats....

These stats are lacking information.
When have these stats been taken? Did the time include the blight event?
Is this across all platforms? Can we get those splitted between Console and PC?
Are DCs included as kills? (Oh, Doc, I don't play Doc -> DC) Are 3 men games included?
And since survivor do not NEED to survive to "win" (pip) the stats are flawed to begin with.
A lot of survivor take unnecessary risks, because death doesn't mean anything to them.Devs did state a time frame of when the stats were gathered I forget what they stated though... I agree with you that the stats are so flawed especially if the blight event was included.... games where the killer should have only gotten a 1k but instead ended up with a 3k because survivors were greedy mainly because of end game issues

The only thing in this game that can instakill (grab and mori) is a tombstone Myers... if it wasnt that you're either trolling or KYF (being buggy as it is) had a bug that allowed this insta death to happen..

I dont really agree with the argument that you're trying to make... the only "best moments" that happen after gates are open is farming... this idea would stop that... it could potentially make stats more accurate as well.... moments like when killers that should have gotten a 1k but instead got a 2 or 3k because survivors were greedy would possibly be more rare thus making the stats more accurate... this end game could open up a whole new bag of perks, items (please new items and addons for survivors) and would make end game much better... getting chased by the killer with the entity consuming the map around you? That sounds bad ass!!apropos said:Well, it doesn't directly, but gen rushing is an example of how objectives become an efficient routine for success. The OPs idea would simply add another element similar to that, which indirectly places restrictions on how we interact later in the trial - if it all becomes routine like gen rushing has. Gens finished? Open the exit gates. Exit gates open? Leave quick!
It doesn't make sense to me to restrict how or when we interact. I don't think I'm alone here, but, I most look forward to the interactions I have with survs playing as the killer (and vice versa). The objectives are really only there to make these interactions have some purpose.
Some of the best moments happen after the gens are done and exit gates open, when the survs feel a bit safer and they become more brazen. I think that OPs idea would make experiences like that rare.
As a side note, I can see this causing problems for survivors that aren't ready to leave, too. Some players could accidentally, or intentionally, open the exit gates before all survivors are ready, forcing people to exit. If they aren't hooked.
I mean, counting on people to not open the exit gates early is like counting on people to finish the gens before harvesting nectar during the hallowed blight event.
Oh, and holding the trial hostage could be done by hiding before opening the exit gates, too.

Its because of matchmaking and ranking system.... ever since the devs made emblems worse then the old ranking system.... every match seems like the survivors haven't played longer then the week... please don't try to say theres no balancing issues... killer is fine and game is balanced when the game is still well in favor of the survivors "facepalm"SenzuDuck said:@iTz_KilLaZ_x said:

The devs have stated multiple times that they didnt expect anywheres near the amount success DBD has had... for the first few years of this game the team was tiny bit is now hovering around 80 people I believe... so while they were small and didnt have the resources they do now it was understandable to have slow bug fixes and balance changes as well... and with the store and everything else they have now patches and changes etc... have picked up in pace but they should dish out more ideas to finish the trial... they put out 3 different ideas for the hatch in 1 ptb... why not throw the end game ideas in the ptb? It's what you have it for more ideas in the ptb may attract more attention to it...SmokePotion said:@not_Queen said:
@Master We know the Community is eager to see the end game / DS changes. You say the ideas sound solid? We thought that too! That's why we went ahead and tested them. After testing, we realized the outcome wasn't what we were aiming for. What does that mean? Back to the drawing boad! These specific ideas might not have made it on the live game but many more ideas directly crafted by our Designers or inspired by Community feedback made it to the game.
Think about Wraith changes, flashlight effect changes, pallet changes, HEX spawn modfications, vault changes, etc. Without the work we put in game balance, we wouldn't be where we are today.
Some of that still needs work. Ie: Hex's still spawn next to survivor spawns. I can grit my teeth and bear my hex being in the open, if they don't immediately know where it is. But in about 1/3rd of my games, my hex is gone in under 2 minutes, because survivors spawn next to them, and gens, for that matter.
I do love how you guys listen. But you shouldn't tout something as a success that the community agrees still needs a good bit of work. That being said, despite my occasional inept rage about things you guys are hopefully fixing. You guys do a good job, but like the OP kinda insinuated. i wish you guys were a bit more profesional with stuff.
Like patch Notes being released with the patch. (or even before hand like many games do)
Like typos that have been in the game since launch being cleaned up. (ie: doctors lore and dull key)
Like having a Known Issue's area that stays updated so the same bugs aren't reported by the community daily, and we don't feel like you're ignoring them.
Like the the boards that are supposed to be updated weekly, being updated (the last time a weekly q/a was posted was june, what's that telling new players when they come to your forums? To me it made me think the game might be dying. Either start doing them again, or remove the inactive board)
I could probably come up with more, but there isn't a need. I've made my point pretty well. I absolutely love this game. And it's definately not dying, it's growing, and has numbers similar to some games with a healthy e-sports league.
I think that's part of the issue. I bet ya'll didn't expect this to be this successful.

This /\.... not enough to do as a survivor... I want to see crafting and the ability to harvest materials in match to craft offerings, addons and such... more easter eggs in game! ( I know the devs are starting to do this with videos and such but being able to find something in match that hints toward the chapter would be best) ... finally an objective that needs to be completed before or after gens and before the exit gate... and the ability to sell/burn items, addons and offerings to earn more bloodpoints this would help both sides...Dustin said:@Peasant said:
I had a much longer post, but it vanished on me. I'll get straight to the point here.People aren't playing survivor because they want more points and they can fall victim to group penalization.
Survivors earn 15-20k BP a round normally (if you don't die absurdly early) so this combined with the faster queues might actually be better for points than you think.
You can do everything right as survivor, and still die because your team did nothing. With DC's on the rise (according to the community) this is only made worse.
This means that there are three ways to effectively respond.
1.) Increase survivor bloodpoint rewards at base
2.) Enforce stricter DC punishment
3.) Buff survivors (Please for the love of God don't pick this one!)What are your thoughts on this folks?
I quit playing survivor months ago and the main reason is there's not enough to do and it becomes boring. I'm either running the killer or doing gens. Both of which are always the same repetitive task because maps don't have anything to offer aside from the bare minimum and once you know the killer that determines how you're going to play the rest of the trial. I'm not saying this is why people don't like playing survivor but that's personally what made me not want to play survivor. Killer is the only role that feels dynamic because survivors are different each round. (tl;dr on this part of post - Add more stuff for survivors to do so it's less boring even if it's unlocking a shortcut for survivors or loot or something)
I do agree that less people seem to be playing survivor compared to killer and some of your proposals may help but honestly I can't imagine any of those having a long term effect on the game. Although extra BP for survivors should happen regardless. The BP earnings survivors get are pitiful.
Regarding #3 survivors don't need a buff because the only meaningful nerfs they've received lately is the vaulting change and the healing speed change. Most survivors have already adapted to the changes as well but at least even with survivors understanding how to play around these changes killers have a bit more control on the game. The only reason those are the only nerfs that mattered is because survivors are using more time healing and need to go specific routes now for certain windows so that helps killer control the flow of the map.
For DC's I still believe escalating queue timers should be a thing. Every time you DC the timer increases by a small increment and would reset each day when dailies are given out. It wouldn't be a permanent solution but it would at least reduce the chances of you getting a player that DC's in your game essentially by temporarily removing them from the pool of people playing.
DC#1 = 2 Minutes
DC#2 = 5 Minutes
DC#3 = 10 Minutes
DC#4 = 15 Minutes
DC#5 = 30 Minutes (Highest timer)I acknowledge the arguments to the timer suggestion being that if a survivor DC's and you play through your entire game you could potentially get them again because their timer would end by the time your game ended. However I feel as though if a player DC'd enough they would get bored and play something else or stop DC'ing. Although the risk there is if people who wanted to DC can't regardless of solution do they AFK. So I feel like if you're looking for solutions for DC'ing you need to look for a solution for AFK'ers too which I don't really have.
-
Adding these things alone would maybe slow the game down....... and maybe ya dont even need to add secondary objectives.... I think maybe they would still need to add something to the main objective but they could try and add crafting and such before going in with adding an objective before or after gens
-
Don't notice any lack of survivors either... rather then implementing this system it would be nice if the devs just added more to the survivor side... not buffs but more items, offerings, changes to old offerings, a crafting system, the ability to burn addons and offerings that we don't use! (This would be for both sides) just a crafting system and harvesting system to get the things to craft would make survivor life more interesting... that's why I dont enjoy playing survivor because it's boring!

Its not about appearance or polish... its more about gameplay... survivors spawn in match there is no actual beginning to the match just work on gens and get out asap for DBD no reason to explore no explanation to how we get grabbed by an evil entity and spawn in 100% fine.... no illness, no injuries, no side effects at all.... it's a very anti climactic situation when you think about it and it feels over all rushed and bhvr did rush the game because they knew other teams were working on the same idea and they wanted to be 1st (ofcourse "its multiplayer only no one cares if the game comes together fully" when players should care) ........ Last Year feels more finished because theres actual beginning, middle, end...... it feels complete asides for the minor touch ups that need happening with the survivor weapons... there's way more to do as a PLAYER... meaning both killer and survivor it's a more fun experience overall than running in circles "shrugs"Freudentrauma said:@Bravo0413 said:
