This /\ .... that's why I opened the discussion of if and when new objectives are implemented would the perk be balanced as is.. but then peanits stated that the problem then would be everyone and their brother would be running it.. so idkAChaoticKiller said:
1. If you can't hit a simple skill check your just bad.Watery said:Decisive is fine, after all, it takes up a perk slot and it’s one time use. If you try to hit it and miss, you waste the perk. It’s balanced.
2. Even if your bad and you hit it, its still very easy to waste a ton if the killers time by getting to a pallet or jungle gym.
3. If your good then the killer might as well leave you after the ds because otherwise its a 2m to 3m chase for 1 person.
This is the most often thing I see in rank 1 how tf is that balanced. Just because your bad at chase does not mean others are not. Any really good survivor can waste more than 2m without ds so give them ds and apply that to 4 of them. Might as well just sit in a corner and wait for gens to be done.

Git gud.... 1v1 is already possible as long as
/\
you do that -
Yup I would certainly love to beckon back at a survivor as killer
-
I agree with you but I don't think that bhvr would do it because they try to think about everyone... and survivors will be thinking "well why cant I use it?" That's why I think a requirement like deliverance should happen only 2 safe unhooks should be made before use of DSPeasant said:If you want to keep decisive the way it is, then just make it so that if you're not the obsession it doesn't work. Period. The problem isn't one person having a get out of jail free card. The problem is 4 people can have get out of jail free cards all in the same match.
-
If they went through that change it would not give the same satisfaction which I agree with.... you cant take something that was super rewarding and make it almost useless for solo players.... to the point of 1x use... maybe for that particular survivor yes but the killer can deal with up to 4 of them.. its the point that it's possible which shouldnt be a thing.. DS should be geared for the exceptional survivor meaning they do a lot of saves (it would be a good pair with WGLF) and then get rewarded with an escape... say ya need to perform 2 safe unhooks and then the tiers are the same nowWatery said:
This is both disingenuous to the fact that the character is DLC and is a teachable perk. The Devs did try something, however, they thought it was best to leave it as is. You should be wary of decisive regardless. You shouldn’t say that decisive needs to be changed, personally, I think it is fine as is. Not to say I don’t agree with you, however, I think if you understand that survivors who run this have a ONE TIME opportunity to use it, and if they miss it, it is wasted and that’s a perk slot gone. Even more so to the fact that decisive doesn’t work a lot of the time, and it STILL gets wasted. It’s also countered by Iron Grasp, if you aren’t the obsession.Bravo0413 said:There is no way the devs leave it as is..

I mean that would have to be a complete rework then and then think about that why invest so much time and effort into old killers (asides freddy) that are fine the way they are... if you put b.c damage on docs power that's OP AF.... Rancor a free kill LUL.... gens have to be completed in order to get the pay off that killers want.... meaning they only have... what? 16 seconds or 20 seconds to find the obsession and kill them this is not a free kill kill especially if the obsession is actually smart and hides near the gate.. there's stealth in this game ya know 🤷♂️

This /\ he has nothing to counter loops... he has to beat you to the pallet or cut you down before you get to the pallet which is only the case when you're in open areas really... if you're at jungle gym or pretty much any gen you dont need to worry about the one shot honestly...Weederick said:Billy doesnt work with 110% movespeed, since he cant deal with loops. If you ever got looped as hag or huntress, you know what i mean (5-6 loops thanks to hitboxes), but billy has no means of countering it.
If that went live, he would drop down to mid-low tier to be THE MOST loopable killer in the game by far. That wouldnt be fun, since he would just be deleted from the viable killers. The devs could rather focus on making him even more unique. Keep the strong chainsaw, but give him appropriate drawbacks. I always thought about him beeing the loudest and most aggressive of the killers. A savage.
Give him global, directional sounds. Everyone should hear exactly where billy is, when he is using his chainsaw. That would balance his map control (mobility) with survivors map control (knowing where he is) and also close the gap between swf and solo survivor. As SWF can communicate where killer are, which makes them op, but against bily, you know it anyways.
On top of that, double his cooldown and nerf his addons.Just my 2c, i hope they wont just nerfhammer him mindlessly (like flickremoval).

This guy /\.... "in game based around running around map props"... it certainly shows that survivors have forgotten stealth... nurse loses vision every fatigue she gets.. also it doesnt hurt to actually think outside the box when going against her... iron will cripples nurse because she depends on hearing.. I understand that when going against a God nurse most times you'll get your ass beat but hey most times when you play as wraith and go against a 4 man SWF you'll get your ass beat..... so why cant the killer side be rewarded for mastering the best killer in the game that is difficult to learn... like a noob cant just hop on nurse and 4k all the time like zubat or marth88TigerKirby215 said:@F5arTheB5ard said:
So all killers should suck besides the nurse?Nurse also needs a heavy rework tbh don't @ me. She completely ignores the core concepts of this game. In a game based entirely around running around map props her power is to ignore map props: what?
On topic: Hillbilly could honestly be 110% MS and no one would bat an eye (except for the salty killer mains.) He has the best mobility ability in the game and an instadown; moving slightly slower when not using the Chainsaw wouldn't be that bad.
When you compare it to Spirit (she can move slightly faster after standing still for 3 seconds! Oooooh!) Billy is way more powerful. Yet Spirit is 110% and Billy is 115%. -
This is not what we're talking about... they adjusted the volume survivors make.. back in the day you could hear survivors breathing that werent injured when close enough which is how it should be... now its not like that and it hasn't been that way since the hollowing grounds.. stridor should actually improve the hearing and it doesn't... same goes for survivor footsteps there are not even close to what they were... at least we can some what hear themBigWeeWee said:@amneoss said:
I can't hear anything in this game. Stridor or not.
I can tell when a gen is being worked on or a chest being searched but that is about it.I'll be watching a streamer like Tru3 or Panda and they'll say I heard them breathing/moving. It genuinely has me concerned about my hearing.
Even when I turn my headphones up to max I still get nothing except feeling like my eardrums are going to burst when I hook someone or break a pallet.
Stridor or not. I never hear survivors. I'm like a T-Rex I need to see the survivor first. And even that is hard as I'm convinced the killer's screen is darker than survivors.
You really just need practice listening for the sounds, I recommend you maybe get a friend to join you in a match of Kill up your friends, injure them and make them move around in certain environments it helps quite a bit.

The sound changes came to the game during the hollowing grounds... killers were deaf to survivors for months and when bhvr finally gave the killer there ears back it's never been the same... when I started playing it was during the hollowing grounds let me tell you when I heard survivors foot steps for the first time it was a big help.. I hope they give stridor its former glory back the perk may be bugged... possibly?MyNamePete said:@Blueberry said:
----------What do you guys think about Stridor currently?---------This is a perk that I used to run all the time back in the day before the sound changes and I felt like it really made a big difference and was extremely noticeable. I also liked the extra skill factor involved allowing me to try and rely on my hearing a little more for outplays. However, since the sound changes from quite a while back I feel like this perk just isn't that good at all anymore. Even when using it on a killer that it should be amazing and have a lot of synergy with like The Spirit, it just feels bad. I can barely even tell a difference between using it and not using it.
I think it could use a little buff by increasing the sound more than it currently does and maybe even make it a little more directional for readability. I'd just like to get it feeling a little closer to how good it used to be.
I really like stridor, i used it on the nurse back in like august and september and it seemed really good for being only level 2. Stridor was really good. I don't know when the changes were, but if they were after i used it then i would agree with you.

The objectives need to be something that survivors have to do.. games go by to fast causing the "power role" to not have enough time to get going... the event has show that additional objectives will be good they just need to tie into the main objective some how.. the reason why killers are having easy games is simply because the plants are not intertwined with the gens and survivors end suicideing to move on to another game because survivors want the free cosmetics as well
-
Exactly what @CakeDuty stated we need more to do as survivor not more healing, not more gen sim... I wanna find a gas can or find a spark plug or anything and take it to a gen and then be able to work on it

The second idea sounds like a nice buff to PWYF honestly

You do realize that the event is an objective right? And you do realize that by doing the flowers you get 4k in BP even when another survivor harvests one you still get 4k bp meaning you'll get way more bp even if you die and only 2 gens have been done... like people just want that bs, boring, broken old gen rush 3min games that make survivors feel their bad ass at the game when the objective is just too easy.... heres a thought.... why not still handle gens like they're still the main objective and if you stumble across canker then harvest it that way gens still get done 🤷♂️ I've done it and have more then half my survivors vials complete and getting more then 30k per match and im surviving... it's mainly the tunnel vision that survivors have and not actually thinking outside the box about things and then getting upset because their doing because their obviously doing something wrong 🙄BloodyNights said:I felt before the recent patch at rank 1 I survived about 50-60% of the time in solo. But currently during the event it's kind of like...10% maybe? Because everyone is milking flowers instead of doing objectives, and usually the first persons chase even if it lasts 3 minutes, no ones done a gen and that's already someone hooked and nothings been done.
But I did feel like the survive rate went down immediately during the last patch, even before the event. I'm not amazing at chases, and being immersed and hiding isn't viable either because it gives no blood points, and de-ranks you way too easily. But it feels like a lot of the things I abused before are gone, and chases are much quicker.
On the killers end, it feels way, way easier. Almost every game I've played has been a 4k, with the event currently the hatch hasn't even come into play in the last 5 games. Well...it was a 4k with my Michael, it wasn't when I tried out Freddy and Pig for the first time ever, but I didn't have any good perks and still did pretty well.
SWF's I think is really strong, I think solo play is lopsided in the killers favor by a good margin. It's also easy to avoid SWF if you are that afraid of them. I know some days I don't feel like dealing with it, and just leave a lobby when 3-4 instantly pop in.

I won't lie I was pissed about the event at first but only because we could only get 1 skin set which was bs if you ask me. However now all I see on the forums is people complaining about really dumb things like extra bp for survivors after 30 vials or games not fun anymore. Honestly if anyone is going to complain, complain about how long killer wait time will be in the future that's the real issue and only major one I see. Things like survivors farming then killing themselfs or its too hard for killers to get vials or even just complaining about dumb things in general can you people just stop. If you are so pissed off at this games event go play a different game that has an event going on.1. This event happened the same time as a huge balance patch, pallet nerfs, hook spawns, and healing increase.
2. This event was clearly tilted towards killers.
3. The cosmetics were aimed more towards killers.

No longer getting the bonus is the only thing that the devs didnt think through... use a map.... gaps! Theres actually a reason to use the normally pointless/useless map... its all because theres a another objective.. let's be honest the reason why survivor mains dont care for this is because matches are now giving enough time for killers to have a moment to get their game going... but yet still I have matches (4 in a row) where 4 people are escaping and I don't SWF... but the killer still had enough time to get some plays in.. the game feels more complete this way.. now if they can implement objectives for everyday games itll feel even better

I love the idea for this Event and I love doing the flowers but pitting Survivors against Survivors to get Nectar is weird in a game based on random cooperation between Survivors. I also want to add that getting 4,000 or however many points you get (if you play the flower offering) is cool but if one plant equals 33% percent of a vial and there are four survivors on the map going after that then the odds are way off. I suggest maybe giving every Survivor that is in the map (and plays the offering) maybe 10% of what others harvest maybe even possibly 15% because the way Killers have been Disconnecting to make people lose their flower Offerings, Insta-Camping and Patrolling the flowers because for some God-Awful reason you made them able to be seen by them and not the Survivors and the fact that you don't get basically any Nectar for doing the plants it will take months (unless I play 24/7) to get the clothing for both Survivors and Killers but hey you made them able to be purchased which is kinda twisted as well knowing that it's going to take a miracle for people to actually earn it. Pro Tip: I play both Killer and Survivor for random people who want to come in here saying I'm taking sides...Yeah I have seen a total lack of cooperation from players who only want nectar. I watched one run to every flower on the map before he ever touched a generator. It sucks they care more about filling up the vial, but funny as you watch them being the first to die and then get toxic to the other survivors saying they didnt help him out and it was their fault they lost the game
If he got upset over dying but got all the plants then geez jokes on all of you because he still got a ton of points that's what's great about this event even if I die I still get over 25k from the match
-
Killers cant really have secondary objectives... survivors need more to do not just because games go by too fast its also because its boring and easy too play survivor.... killers need to kill and they already have enough perks and offerings to give them a ton of points distressing, BBQ now the huntress perk... all 3 with a survivor pudding on doc?

I can reply that if it's possible yes it's a big problem a game shouldn't be ended after the killer only gets 2 hooks on two be and they also shouldn't be forced into tunnel 1 person because their closest to death is it a tactic ofcourse but is it fun?... not even close... I enjoy this event because I don't need ruin I can play how I normally play and if they get their stuff and get out GG knowing they over came a side objective and gens is job well done... just hoping on gens normal is nothing great its way to easyDisturbedZ said:@DeadByFlashlight said:

Still not sure why all you killers hate SWF. I get more hooks, kills, and points during a SWF than I do against a bunch of solo players who dont care that the other guy is being chased hooked or killed. A few times i got gen rushed and came out with less points. Is this like a high end killer problem? As a survivor so many solo players have left me on a hook (first hook) when they could have came and got me with no trouble and I died.Look at the depip squad games. If a SWF decides to genrush, the killer goes out with very few points
Key word "if". personally I have had it happen to me twice. I dont play everyday but on the days I do I put in 4 - 6 hours easily. If it is as much of a problem as you state wouldnt I have had it happen a bit more? I got about 100 hours as killer and about 250 as survivor and from both sides never seen many gen rushes happen.
