  • Actually this is why SBMM is a good idea.. it’s not implemented yet and this is a a result.. with it activated, this group would hopefully get sent to a realm more suited for them.

I wish we could have a scoring breakdown for everyone at the end like we do for ourselves. See how they spent their time in the trial.

That would be cool to see as well..

    Sorry, I don't sweat.

At the risk of sounding like an arrogant #########, my skill floor is just naturally higher than most peoples.

Likewise, why should people be subjected to the agony of high MMR DBD? Do you want all of them to quit? We all know they'll never change it to be more fun and why else would you play a game, if not to have fun?

    Some have fun just competing..

  • This is very exciting.. the last test was so good.. i was hoping to see it come mid-chapter but this is good news.. fingers crossed their not pushing to fast..

  • Fingers crossed Mid-chapter it’ll come permanently!

I used multiple controllers they all have the same issue one of them was brand new

and I have no movement issues with any other games.

oh geez!! I don't know when this hotfix was but I'm hoping I don't have this issue... I played last night and it seemed to play as normal.

its not the frame rate. my survivors literally stop running and stand still for a split second meaning I have to regain 100$ movement speed which takes a second which in a chase is not good.

are you sure it's not the controller it's self?... I know that DBD can be demanding sometimes or instill rage.

BHVR did not say that. The term "most balanced Killer" was made up by the Community. And it was made up in 2018 already.

The game got way easier for Killers over the years, logical that the "most balanced Killer" is not the most balanced Killer anymore, when the game got easier.

The Devs did say that they wanted to use Billy as sort of the power level stcik when designing new killers and reworking/buffing older killers.... when they stated this it was before the nerf. in which case they did sort of give the nod that Billy was indeed the most balanced killer in the game.. ofcourse this was like 2 years ago.

  • Right now it's quite perfect for me... Not too sweaty as killer and I've only had one Freddy whom was thinking fake pallets is the winning was go full sweat... other then that it's been great.

Just so you know this is NOT a problem with Blight, this is a problem with the objects themselves, since blights bounce is based off if you can smack the 'wall' with your weapon, which is why if you look up or down it changes what he can bounce on, the problem is some of the objects i guess don't have the correct collision detection, Blight just makes the miscreated objects obvious, so the devs have to fix every object that has this problem and not Blight. (Info taken from former Dev Mclean who created and fixed Blight)

Yes I do understand how Blight works and was sad when I heard that Mclean was leaving... some want collision on all objects so he can bounce off of everything.... I do not, I just want consistency on objects without collision.... areas like the 8 snow piles on Ormand are great because I know I can still rush straight on through without bouncing off anything and maybe landing a hit as well, if they all had collision he'd have that struggling feeling of being on Lery's at least 3 times a game and lose some of the fun factor.

This really comes down too Bump Logic and Consistency.

  • because nothing has actually changed in the game it's self... it's still the same.... no new game modes... no different mechanics.. no major balance changes to bring solo up to the level of SWF to then make killer more fun..

and I play blight to keep me playing.

I can understand some not getting collision, but thinks like Shack, certain rocks, trees, tree stumps, cars, fences, etc randomly sliding is a big problem. Snow piles, 3 way divided trees, etc not having collision would be fine.

yeah I understand what you're saying... that's why I say the consistency needs to be better because I have had moments where I went to bounce off the pre-school and slid all the way to the white fence..

  • @MrCalac123 said:

Looking down will keep the sliding you enjoy I believe, but regardless slamming point blank directly into a solid object only to slide off of it is just so lame. I just want SOME fixes at least, like the cars, certain rocks, trees, etc

I just want some consistency.... like on Ormand it's consistent it's pretty consistent... the snow piles I know I can't bounce of so I can plan on just sliding straight to the survivor and landing a hit... if theres collision on all of them I have to go through 3 if not 5 bounces.

I just don't want those areas feeling like a section of lery's if ya know what I mean? right now he feel's really good, especially if you watch Lilith Omen, he can open you up to the sliding and how it can actually help.

  • I don't really think the slides need to be removed, they just need to be consistent... some vehicles on auto havens you can bounce off of and then others you can't slide even when trying... I LOVE!!! sliding around shack and being able to play it completely different then any other killer, the amount of fun is immessurable...

this actually is a wierd moment for me atm because I can actually say the Ormand is probably the most consistent map when it comes to bouncing next to the macmillian maps.

No other character can provide the sort of experience that Blight has for me... even when I have a four man escape.

This is dumb . . . why would you punish people for playing a game with friends..?

It's a game. Games are DESIGNED to be played with friends.

If DbD didn't want you to, there wouldn't be cross-platforming and the ability to add one another within the game as friends and also invite one another to a standard lobby.

It'd be like saying " SWF " on a shooting game needed nerfed. The POSSIBILITY of it being done is taken into account when they designed the game. If you're not taking advantage of something they allow that could POTENTIALLY be helpful is that not your own fault? Plus just because you don't like people who do SWF doesn't mean anything. Not every group is talking about what's going on in game and even if they were I can use the same SAD - PATHETIC excuse you guys use for tunneling and camping.

    " it's a tactic " - " it's not against the rules. " - " The devs say it's fine. "

Except in this instance they've actually designed with this in mind and it's not because of obvious things like them not wanting to pay someone to go through the excess camping/tunneling reports that'd happen and make the tunnelers/campers leave/not spend money. ( Meaning they'd be paying to upset some group of people and get them to leave thus paying to lose money. )

SWF isn't broken. Playing on a PC obviously also assists you. Does that mean we should nerf PC players?

Like I replied to the other person… this is not a punish… you miss a skill check and your gen has regression, that’s a punish … so in this case giving SWF the hindered effect for the entirety of a match would be a punish… this is buffing cool down perks to make them more playable when going against a team… not a punish.

  • @ThanksForDaily said:

Idk why play with friends needs to be punished where most of them are super casual players. Smh

this isn't "punishing"..... punishing would be increasing gen times or reducing the number pallets making the hindered effect base for swf..... thats a punishment... providing the killer with buffed cool down perks is not a punishment..

So, you want the change to (hopefully) get better teammates, right?

I'd like the MMR for the matchmaking to be better balanced.... players testing new killers to them are nearly a rank 15 or something, so they shouldn't be going against players that are equal to their skill level they are with their main. I am also hoping for it to fix the random rank 20 vsing a 4man rank 1's etc...

this system isn't going to destroy the community and how it is... you'll still have the random matches where 4 claudettes surround a burning barrel and then do slow mode follow the leader throughout the map...

  • @CashelP14 said:

Unfortunately that's the state of the game mate. Any team that's smart you need to play a little sweater. What perks were you running/killer/map?

So in 5 minutes for you they did 4 gens. In my 5 minute chase in my last solo q game they only did 2.

Was playing blight with bittermurmur, shadowborn, LP and Thrilling tremors on Azarovs resting place

not a bad map, and I’ve been experimenting with perks

they weren’t good with chases just gen efficient.. 4gens 5 mins they all DC’d before they got the last

He doesn't really suffer on Underground Lab imo . The Laboratory's hallways and most rooms are wide enough for playable use of his Rush, unlike Léry's thinner, cluttered halls and cubic tiles.

hawkins and midwich are fun with vigos journal and compound 21..

  • @danielmaster87 said:

His sliding makes him a weak killer. Definitely not on the same level as Spirit.

his sliding allows him to make amazing plays at loops he wouldn't be able to go for..... it's like a hillbilly curve on steroids that feels 10times more rewarding when you pull it off...

now certain maps like Disturbed Ward can be hell...

    areed with OP, he's #2

  • the responder wasn't even disagreeing with you... he was stating that some killer powers are weaker or that killer powers shouldn't need to depend on perks in order to catch a survivor.

  • the devs continuing to pump out new killers perks etc... rather then optimizing the game and updating old perks that are near useless.

How are you supposed to do gens if you are hooked and camped to death? Oh, you meant the other survivors should do the gens, right? But what about the poor guy that's being camped and enjoying a staring contest with the killer? How does doing gens help him?

    It doesn't.

the one person on thats being is holding the killer at the hook.. 2mins till death which means at least 3 gens should be done...

  • AH yes... in paragraph 6 when you bring up Otz.... he's like one of the biggest sluggers in the game.... really?

Tunneling and camping only provides reward when the survivors don't do their objective, if you tunnel one guy the most kills you should get are 2 because at 3 chases with one person where the one person can waste at least 40 seconds just by holding forward.

  • best imo would be the combination of strength, reward for playing/learning, experience of going against them... the overall spectrum... in which case is Blight.

    Strongest is Nurse.

weakest is a battle between Trapper, Legion and Pig

    Worst is legion.

  • this is because the devs haven't buffed solo to near SWF level because when they do that then the devs could buff killers to the level that can actually compete with the squads like Oracle or Agony...

You'd really suck at being a designer with that mindset ...

There is a lot they could do with his powers, and yes, that also includes his bees.

I am not a designer... I am a gamer whom has heard of "Candyman" and he is boring and most known for bees..

In most games a hoard of insects often involves some sort following or chase mechanic where they'll eventually stop when the timer ends. now in DS3 if you're hit by this hoard of insects, it can do a ton damage............. what would "bees" do that we haven't seen? would they do stinging? so they'd be a version of trixter? 10 stings and your injured? no no maybe they could work like madness and interrupt actions? or maybe they'll work like victor and survivors will have to wave their hands to get the bees to go away and can't perform any actions with them on the survivors? oh maybe they'd be like Plagg! vomit.... anyway they go he'd be boring or bees would be boring because of the fact that prior killers exist and are more interesting then he.

When I made this post it was 2:38 am and I was TIRED. So I’m not like a die hard fan for springtrap (I’m rooting more for a clock tower chapter)

also I agree with the power point. He’s very much requested but his power would probably just be bees. 3 spooky 5 me.

TBH I hope Springtrap is brought back in someway in the new FNAF it's story was quite interesting ,

I haven't been keeping tabs on the new FNAF like I should.

He can do more than just bees. He has the following abilities:

    • Levitation
    • Invisibility
    • Teleportation
    • Summoning and controlling bees
    • Super human strength
    • Mind control
    • Hypnotisation
    • Causing Madness and Hallunications

Dude is more similar to Dracula, Sadako, and Freddy than other more human slashers.

    mind control will never work,

    Bees are boring

    every killer has superhuman strength

    doc has madness and hallucinations

wraith and freddy have a type of invis

freddy and nurse have forms of teleportation

about the only thing on that list is Levitation and I am referring to levitating other objects not himself.... levitating other objects (if he does this) would probably be the only other way of implementing Candyman and an interesting power but I am almost certain this is not a Candyman thing.... Hoard of bees sounds more like Candyman and that's not interesting..

  • Here's my dream reveal...

after like 15mins of Mcote and Mclean talking about the upcoming update and optimization to console, Mcote then looks to the camera and reveals the Reworked Legion and Buffed (or reworked) Trapper along with the Reworked swamp maps (one that takes place in the Cannibal Village?) just the best "Beyond" focused Update that finally makes Monstrous Shrine a viable perk and maybe even brings in an update to flashlights as well.

I'd buy the rift and the FerryMan cosmetic if this update came out and no annoying bugs came out with it....

  • this guy just really likes springtrap.

I pray that BHVR never goes with Candyman...... no matter how many requests, his power no matter what would be boring.... (what? a hoard of bees?)

Not sure if it compares to the atrocious Patch 1.9.2, but this new stun validation is utter garbage and it needs to get fixed, or better yet, removed as soon as possible.

Maybe I don't play spirit and this is the first I'm hearing of it even then I'd still say that spirit is stronger.

I haven't played spirit in quite sometime. I only saw a thread on here that "spirit can't hear footsteps"... so the source may not be that trustworthy.

  • @xEa said:

He is not. I am not even sure if he is Nr.3. Personally i think a good Hag can be more powerful.

how? Hag is so limited in ability.

  • isn't there a "bug" that prevents her from hearing survivor footsteps while in phase though?

    @gilgamer said:

No he's still not as strong as spirit. The stridor nerf only affects lower skilled spirits since higher tier ones never used it to begin with, so until she receives a proper nerf we can't evaluate who gets #2 spot then.

  • the devs did have it changed where if it were this type of teams ranks you would have gotten a red or purple killer.... but then a part of the community was outraged.... how could 1 rank 14 survivor be matched with a rank 4 killer!! and the devs switched it back, which makes smurfs possible.

  • ive gotten this map 8 times (4 today) 6dc’s and 2 escapes.. the two killers that played were a wraith and nemesis.. wraith got 1 kill and the nemesis got 2..

  • I hope they clean it up a bit.. landing a hit and hearing the yell but the survivor just runs away after the stun is annoying.

  • @th3 said:

It has no competition because of the sheer weight the licenses bring to it, all people will do is compare the other game to dbd and mock it (Friday 13, Last Year, HSHS), there isn't an incentive to try and make another asymmetrical horror game given the drawbacks that come along with (An insufferable community).

there's a few other games that came out recently to test builds... "Ghost Corp". (i think it's called) and the other is called "Haunt Chaser" both are ghost hunting games where 4 people go against 1 person who is playing as an entity... I haven't seen the ghost corp. game play yet but the haunt chaser is pretty good, it's made by 2 people I think and it already runs better then DBD lol.

  • there's very few killer mains though... ya got Zubat but have ya heard how he feels about the game?... there's like one "positive" killer main and that's Otz (at least well known)... Fog whisperer is pretty much more marketing for BHVR, so they don't want anyone that's going to preach truth about balance and such.

  • @lagosta said:

Leave legacy alone IMO. It was a time-limited offer and offering that at any cost diminishes the effort put by the people ground left and right to get theirs at the time. At the time, Blood Webs were much more BP intensive as the Entity didn't spawn to consume items at all. Reports say it could take anywhere between 200k to 300k for a single BW. I don't own legacy skins, BTW.

I like the idea of a devotion shop, but it should be something new. A good idea would be flames akin to DS3 ember effect. Your character slowly emits particles and has moving flames around it.

    https://youtu.be/yuQm5IszpeA?t=19

yes like the glow effect from the crowns or the lunar new year... i still would like a bigger nod to the devoted player base like the ability to customize the menus or even the ability to change the default skins colors etc... why should we have to pay for the same shirt that is red instead of white?

  • Girl brags about moment where her boyfriends build makes a deathslinger angry to the point of reporting!

  • This is something that I've been wanting for a long time... BHVR doesn't notice it's long term players, which means there is nothing to work towards as a new player...

there's so many good ideas I've seen... from main menu customization to now this thread, I'm hoping that BHVR gives some love to us soon.

  • They won't do this anymore because casuals don't like the idea of event items being exclusive to the players that played during the event... so the whole community has to go without good events that BHVR has put on in the past.

  • I spent nearly 9 months away from DBD I came back after the blight changes... I'm still unhappy that a few major changes haven't happened even though they IMO (and others) would help the game quite a bit.... so I haven't bought multiple chapters and I haven't bought cosmetics either.. I won't be buying anything until I see a change in schedule that puts the health of the game first compared to 3-4 chapters a year...
