It isnt the survivor add ons are mediocre. Flashlight one doesnt even make it stronger.
Even if the MS addon increases to hope speed thats still really good.. and if it stacks with perks like hope or the Felix perk you can be faster then a 110% killer... so its not mediocre by any means.

No offense but that sounds like the mentality of someone who doesn’t play the game to have fun.
Its Business.............. its always been... business.

well, 'among us' itself is a game in the same vein as Town Of Salem, Werewolf etc. People will always compare apples to oranges, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.
I get what you're saying but atm "among us" is popular, like I never heard of "town of Salem" etc... so DBD creating a mode like "among us" would sort of be piggy backing off of it thus saying "we wanna be like them" where bhvr is king of its own genre.. i don't think it would be good business wise, because why would the players not just play among us at that point?

I have.
Mode suggestion in question I can name from the top of my head:
- A gamemode similar to Among Us or Werewolf and similar games, that would come with a roleswapped roster of the original characters.
- a scavenger mode to replace/simplify the bloodweb
- 2:8
- Maps with more objectives. (like having to do something first to blow up a barrier before you can proceed to the gates)
They all had their fair share of people saying what Raider said the responses are.
There were also ideas floating around to change the way perks and totems etc work, ideas to make the charms something that is not just decoration etc.
All these ideas commonly get smacked down with 'the game can't handle it' or 'it wouldn't fit dbd' or 'it wouldn't fit with the lore.
Now I can understand the "among us" mode smack down because if bhvr were to do that it'd be like saying "among us" is better... and DBD is king sooo..but yes other ideas should be tested at least because the game needs to evolve.
-
So imo one of the few stats that could possibly be at least somewhat accurate is chase time... but even then..and maybe time in between hits.
-
@Pulsar said:
It doesn't mean anything, just like the rest of the stats we get. There are WAY too many variables in play for this to be considered a legit statistic.
What ranks were the Survivors? What ranks were the Killers? SWF or no SWF? Mori's or no Mori? Meta perks or meme build?
You get the point.
Not even getting into the suicides and games with DCs

Nurse is a shell of her former self. She used to have three blinks as default and just got absurd with add ons, plus she's buggy. On the swamp maps you can't even blink onto the piers right now and on more than one occasion I've blinked into the basement while chasing someone. She needs help.
Spirit didn't have collision when phasing and iirc Deathslinger hasn't been changed. As more people play them, people will get better at dealing with those two killers.
In days of old you used to only see Nurse and Hillbilly at high ranks and maybe the occasional Trapper. Nowadays you don't see Nurse, so people just forget she exists.
Wasn't She over 100% ms as well when she first came to the game?

@ABannedCat said:
Hit validation is coming soon, meanwhile killers still get robbed off hits by aim dressing, or survivors hitboxes disappearing while unhooking.
I'm happy im not the only whom has noticed this... the game has played so much better without it..

You could but the only problem with doing that is assumptions you might make in that video based on the current information might become obsolete by the time the event comes out.
Either way more power to you
Well thank heavens hes capable of making a second video on the topic when the event comes out right?

This right here. is a message that needs to get out to a LOT of players.
No... and why no?... because humans want to see progress being made. A good progression system is needed in the majority of successful games to hold a playerbase. Otherwise you end up like the Avengers game.. or fooking last year.. a weak progression system and literally no progression system... both pretty much dead games.. casuals can say "play for fun" all they want but what's fun for me may not be fun for you.

sports: you learn communication and teamwork skills, and if you're really, really good (and really lucky) you could get scholarships to quality colleges and potentially chase being a professional player
with dbd you might get into a 15k tournament only to almost lose to bug after bug LOL
and i disagree with survivors not having an edge on K&M. tighter turns are possible and directional movements are quicker. just because someone like marth prefers playing on a controller doesn't mean it's optimal. and yeah, performance is a huge issue in this game, and i bet even next gen is going to have a host of issues because i'll be honest, they just suck at optimization in general, and i wouldn't be surprised if they try to bite off more than they can chew with the graphics updates.
besides all that dbd just doesn't have the same staying power as some games in other genres. a lot of the streamers i watch openly admit that they don't play dbd outside of streaming it, and say that they probably wouldn't if they weren't doing it as a job. even more you can just tell that they're nearing their breaking point. the game's stale, it needs a shakeup. or competition. i'm sorry that your hardcore gamer head can't see that
E: edited that last bit to be less inflammatory, but still jabby
I Mean epic games or whoever made "fortnut" hosts tournaments and gives scholarships to attend college for a certain program.. sooo.
-
Next week?... really? Are they making more changes or something? I was really looking forward to the Halloween event this week..
-
I've had this happen before.. watched my weapon swing right through a Dwight one time afterwards he used dead hard... I was like #########???... im on ps4
-
There were too many times that it seemed like he was portraying to the babies to take it seriously imo... id rather see a player as experienced as Otz is help the less experienced rather then just say "oh this is doing too much and there's no counter to it, so you're right it needs nerf"
-
@KingFrost said:
What killer would be like "Yeah, I'm going to line up in the Competitive Queue!" There'd be no killers there. So competitive mode would be a survivor lobby simulator.
I disagree.. theres killers that enjoy competitive gameplay..
-
I remember which you're talking about.... there was no way it was going to last... I do agree that its not a DBD knock off though...
-
What this means...
" if they nerf Bubbas chainsaw speed, then I'll be able to loop him with no pressure or thought required :)) "
Imo hes okay... he at least poses some sort of threat when compared to his old version.
-
The samething is happening with undying.. people wanna say a new perk thats now in the meta is op, when I've had it broken broken at the start of my matches many times .. hope they don't nerf it because its nice having change ups.
-
Loading up the game and seeing its the same lobby waiting for me... id like a different lobby... maybe one that I can actually move around in..
-
Like half my matches my undying gets broken within 2mins of the match.. I honestly don't understand why people cry whenever anything actually good comes to the game.
-
I would make shadowborn basekit and remove the perk. Because you shouldn't need a perk to have an enjoyable pov.

It's powerful in the sense that it transfers other hexes. That should be enough.
Only If it doesn't get broken first.. which in most cases its a 50/50 since most will run the undying/ruin combo... also when you start doing dull bones it gives no place for another to move to... which again, 5 totems total, most cases 3 dull.. so when you break it down, it's not all that powerful... only when you play the chase game of breaking hex after hex.
-
Disagree, its a hex and can be removed therefore it should powerful which it is atm.. if undying is found first the transfer ability is gone... ive had both undying and ruin gone back to back at the start... sooooo..
-
A "sleepy hollow" DLC, whether it be licensed or bhvrs own version i feel they could knock it out of the park.
-
I feel this will be what its supposed to be... a newbie perk (training perk) so yes there should be a punishment for missing so the player doesn't believe that they can just not do skillchecks... but its less punishing because the killer is not alerted..
-
The only thing people miss about "the meme" is the ultimate chance to bully... old Freddy was awful.
-
Its not just hooks and it's not just DS stun... sometimes you cant vault windows or open lockers as killer same breaking pallets.... and its now known as "off the shoulder bug" for me because a i got a flashlight save on a spirit and the person was downed right after because it..

Idk cuz honestly if someone unhooks in my face no matter speed of it or bt I’ll just rehook the same guy again so it really doesn’t help your team any doing that
that and the consensus is it’s a meme perk not worth a slot over ds unbreakable bt exhaustion perks adrenaline etc
Desperate Measures isn't a meme... the pebble master perk is a meme etc... you mentioned that DS is meta so theres a good chance you'll have to go through BT then DS... if ya wanna tunnel the guy down have fun.
-
Imo DM is going to be added to the meta... you can do the vault build (resilience and spine chill) those 3 perks may give you the ability to save infront of the killer by the react to you... just as long as you have BT as well.
-
@TheRockstarKnight said:
100% agree; the limited FOV is gross.
I get pulling off window techs or corner jukes is fun and all, but I don't think that's a good enough reason to make the Killer FOV so nauseatingly limited.
Its a similar situation with ruin where it feels like you need to have a perk just to feel good while playing. It's rough for sure.
-
Its not 2016 -2017.. flashlights are not that difficult to deal with and I'd make the trade of giving more angle to them as long as I get a more enjoyable POV as killer.

What does the prize money have to do with the tournament not laying down any rules to encourage more variety in play? Nothing. It could be 1 million and nothing is stopping them from establishing rules in a tournament.
With how the system worked that alone encourages to play in the most optimal way... like you're not gonna play Bubba to catch ayrun or any of oracle... and even then no one is going to tune in to watch Bubba get stomped multiple times or watch as the match is over before trapper finally gets going...also nobody enjoys rules restricting strong killers. Yeah there's some people that'll tune in to watch some fook around.. but this is an example of why more killers need to be buffed.... so there is more variety.

I will literally get everyone at every loop if you give me an Oni flick on Blight. Plague Bile alone makes every loop playable, instead of just maze tiles and buildings. But a flick, coupled with his speed, will make him even stronger than Nurse. Look at it another way: I've lost 4 games so far. And by "lost," I mean 2k'd, because I haven't had more than 2 survivors escape even with a key, a map, and 2 BNP's. Blight is strong. You are basically asking for a killer with a slightly worse chase than Nurse (only in the sense that it would take slightly longer, but still less that 20 seconds from full health), but much, much better mobility that takes away even holding W, a valid strat against Nurse. That would be OP AF. I don't understand how anyone could think that would be okay.
Think about what you're before making statements like that... here's a scenario..... a nurse gets a hit on Lampkin the survivor use the burst into a house now a strong nurse would have that survivor down in 2 blinks because "goes through walls" .... same scenario with blight, you waste a couple bounces at the door... and even then the travel speed alone is much less.. partly because blight would be unplayable at nurse speed.

@Pennywise said:
I turned it off when I realised everyone has going either Spirit or Nurse and I assumed at that point everything goes, meta builds, best perks etc. Why do people bother hosting tournaments like this? Put rules in that prevent each team playing the best killers, equipping the the best perks, basically do it like tydetyme did back in the day. His tournaments were the best, definitely the most entertaining and forced teams out of their comfort zones.
Again with this... its a 15k cash prize and players actually wanna win... players can have fun while also competing...

This is why I usually don’t take criticism less than 24 hours old.
I am currently at work but my friend who used him said the same thing you did. He is strong, especially now that they fixed his hit box and it’s more precise now.
I Agree as well... this killer is strong those whom just compare him to Billy or legion.. are not looking at the whole package...

Haste buffs to not stack. They give a flat 7% speed increase.
However exhaustion perks, like Sprint Burst and Adrenaline, do stack with each other. Even with the on-hit speed boost.
"Haste" pops up when you use SB though....

I'm concerned for Tuesday.. if no love comes to console..... i don't how the experience is going to be on those beautiful badham maps, is anyone going to be able to enjoy the nice updates coming next week? Because I'm stoked and wanna play my arse off when the blight comes out..... but if my game turns into a blur because the frame rate is awful.. then why would I wanna continue spending my time and money on the game?

Thats because Myers is a trapless trapper... Embrace the Ghostface and then embrace the Blight :)

Honestly I've always thought about a crazy deformed killer who bounces off walls, sort of like a hockey aesthetic from Left 4 dead. Its going to be terrifying on Lérys.
Its going to be so much fun as well... im going to have a few 4 man escapes happen but there's reward for going through the rough times :)

That's not what I heard before its release. People always seem to forget that there was major outcry about how Wonder Woman was an "SJW film" and whatnot. Even so, it doesn't address the major point, which is that the exceptions to the "get woke, go broke" slogan are dismissed as just being part of franchises that are "too big to fail".
Hey, first impressions are a thing... example the movie "joker" when I saw teasers for it I got the impression that the movie was going to bomb and when it came out I ended going to see it 3 times in theaters.... another example is captain marvel where I got hyped because she was supposed to be this major character in "infinity war" and when it came i found i wasted my money on the worse movie in the MCU..

I liked tlou 2 just hated the ending, haters gonna hate, some people start moving with influencers, like "I hate this game" then the followers also hate it because of their supreme leader.
Tlou 2 linked tlou 1 more than people think, remember how Ellie talks about her fears on tlou 1? Most people don't, remember that on the left behind DLC, Ellie can kiss Riley? Most people don't.
Most don't realize that Joel (as much as I love his character) he is not an angel, the reason why Abby was behind him was because of what Joel did to her father, which in terms on story was on self defense coming from Joel, if you get close to the dr on part 1, he will try to stab you.
I just hate that they force you to like Abby when clearly I give no damn about her.
But I still don't hate the game.
Okay so the thing with the whole "haters gonna hate" is atm theres a petition (which most likely won't do anything) with over 50k signatures and growing on it for a remake of the story of "TLOU2" but yes we're all haters because we know ND can do better then what they did...
