3 trials in a row successfully killed all 4 Survivors using Devour Hope.
-
There's a lot of things you can simply chalk up to "Cause Entity."
Bleeding pools of blood while walking without eventually bleeding out? Entity.
Auras? Entity.
Survivors can't jump and thus can't drop-kick? Entity.

Honestly the only bad thing for me was how weak he was. But I mean buff have already been announced in what seems to be record time for BHVR
Sure, but i'm not gonna feel negative or positive about the buff until i know what it is.
-
Sure, i'll try this thing i came up with just now...
New item: candles
And yes, the Survivor will be holding just 3 white, thin candles in their right hand.
what it does...
When facing a Dull Totem with the Item in hand, you can perform a new interaction with it, which takes about as long as cleansing a Totem. (14 seconds at base. (No, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt won't affect this interaction.))
Once the animation is completed, the Item is disabled. (It has 1 charge (at base, but idk if i'd do more, probably not), and completing the interaction takes 1 charge.)
if the killer doesn't have a hex perk on when finishing the interaction...
or if the killer doesn't have a hex perk active WHEN FINISHING THE INTERACTION...
- That Dull Totem is now a Hex Totem with no power on it.
- While this Hex Totem doesn't have anything on it, it is still a genuine Hex Totem in every way, meaning: Hex: Retribution will reveal all Survivor Auras if this Hex Totem is cleansed, Hex: Undying will transfer this powerless Hex Totem and then disable itself, cleansing it will grant 1k BP, it'll make the thunder noise when cleansed, it'll trigger Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, and other stuff i may have forgotten.
if the killer has 1 or more hex perk(s) on and 1 or more of them are active WHEN FINISHING THE INTERACTION...
- 1 randomly chosen Hex Perk that the Killer has on and active transfers from their current Hex Totem to this Dull Totem, making it a Hex Totem and their previous one a Dull Totem.
- The Killer WILL be notified of this, showing a Loud Noise Notification at the new location.
some add-on ideas
- Matches, Common rarity: Speeds up the interaction by 50%.
- Matchbox, Uncommon rarity: Speeds up the interaction by 100%.
- Lighter, Very Rare rarity: Skips the interaction. (Or rather: Speeds up the interaction to 0.1 seconds.)
- Glass Case, Ultra Rare rarity: Prevents the Loud Noise Notification.

@Boss has a post or two here, and once upon a time did some surviving.
It's been too long for me to comment on balance.
I have been playing Survivor again every now and then, but i'm currently not even out of the yellow ranks.
-
Got 3 new Perks, 2 of which i'll at least put to use in meme builds.
Wraith got buffed yet again, and i'm glad that bug got identified as a bug, can't wait for it to go.
I'm pretty happy, 7.2 out of 10.

you see, you are right, but about the info... i think Scott did a video recently(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot2-1p_mrNs&t=607s)
soo.... in short, Big data doesnt really work. i mean, you see, if we look at the big data, we have to buff nurse. but we dont, since she is the best killer already
so yeah, they dont really listen to a feedback, but what can we do
Owning information to me is more than raw data.
Big data does work, just not on its own.
Whether the devs are currently doing things right or not doesn't matter concerning my answer: I'd rather see reasonable risks than safety.

I recommend to hold off on Wraith until his bug is fixed.
Unless you wanna rank him with the bug, do what you want. π€·ββοΈ
From what i've felt after playing a week, the slower transition from "uncloaking slow-down" to "post-uncloak speed-up" is hurting his super-lunge real bad.
You can pull it off still, but you need to almost literally be on their ass now.
The speed bonus is fantastic, it's nice to pick other Add-ons for a change, but those super-lunges are really something else currently.
-
0.
1 if you count me doing a friendly Killer match, farming some Hook states.
-
I prefer a nice balance of both, but i'd put more weight on the scale of risks.
Though i should say reasonable risks instead.
A.k.a. Risks that are built on information they have, and not spent half their budget and manpower on it.
I feel like more safety than we currently have will make the game too stale.

I thought that they removed the pallet with the map rework bc many said in the PTB that the windows are strong enough. But im not 100% sure.
I was unable to play for over a month not too long ago, so maybe i just didn't know any better.
Could swear that even before that month with the rework of the map already done, that i'd get a Pallet there.

Because why should killers have options?
What about Nurse? Can M1 or Blink.
Huntress can M1, or throw a Hatchet.
Plague can M1 or spew vomit.
Spirit can M1 or phase and M1.
Pyramid can M1 or use his line AoE.
Wraith can M1 or super M1! π€£
-
There's supposed to not be a chance?
I've always gotten 1 in there, can't remember a single trial where that wasn't the case.
-
Not many things demotivate me more to continue than seeing multiple insta-heals pop in the HUD.
Seeing that just makes me go to the nearest switch and trigger EGC.
-
I don't remember at all.
I know my first Survivor was Dwight, so it must've been a Dwight match.
Also must've been MacMillan Estate, cause it was beta.
And it must've been against a Trapper, cause beta.

My point isn't to justify it's to direct your attention to something that's magnitudes worse.
I'd prefer not to, this was me adding to the pile of bad spawns rather than only thinking of this one.

Considering they won't bring in a old hud toggle I wouldn't hold your breath.

Idk man, there's quite a few old Nightmare fans as well, and well...He's forever in dreamland.
I do admit a Killer and a simple function are very different, but still.

It would probably depend on what would these add-ons do, but overall I don't have any issues with more Obsession add-ons being added to the game.
That's true, but some might not see it like that, y'know?
I personally wouldn't have a problem with one of Wraith's becoming one as long as it's good, but in general i'm not a fan of the Obsession mechanic.

Hopefully it is a side effect of them actually trying to implement the 'proper' version of Hoarder (seems like it would be a funzo perk if it functioned as intended).
But yeah, I'd like to be able to finish a match without a key, today T_T
Honestly, i kinda suspect to hear the official message: "Turns out Keys had a lower value than intended. We bumped it to the correct amount." π
-
More seem to suspect something's wrong.

@ShamelessPigMain said:
Honey, why would be complaining about hill totems when you can have Coldwind totems spawn in literally the middle of nowhere. They're pretty much those huge orange road cones.
Cause one does not justify the other.
-
@ShamelessPigMain said:
Probably. The way things like this work is that everything starts out normal, and then as you pan, things kick into motion. Like corrupt; the tentacles won't emerge until you actually finish the camera pan and can control your character, which can be really weird from the survivor end. Same thing applies here; you start out in the default state and then the machinery gets rolling.
Understood.

Wraith, Chain Linked + Fury Waist Wrap + Tarnished Sickle Knife, Barbecue & Chili + Hex: Devour Hope + Hex: Undying + Make Your Choice.
As for Add-ons: I either equip those that i have the most of (except "The Beast" - Soot & "The Serpent" - Soot, i'll never use those unless i'm purely meme'ing.), or i equip those to fit one of my builds.
For anti-Pallet fun for example, Shadow Dances come on.
While for my Exposed-only build, i often put on "All Seeing" - Blood, for those who try to hide and wait out their Exposed. (If it's a timed one, like MYC & Dragon's Grip.)
-
Feels more like the center of this chapter, the new Killer, is the bad thing, but is surrounded by multiple smaller good things.
-
It's fine.
A reason to not camp and hurt their progress quite a bit.

I've seen it happen a few times. Had a Meg stay behind when I had a miserable game as Spirit. I just went in the basement and stared at the wall phasing. Meg came down, and I hit her to get her to leave, but she just stayed.
It's pretty rare, though. I've offered myself to be hooked when killers have had a miserable game. They usually refuse though. (Or they leave me slugged, which isn't fun btw. At least hook me.) I find it's less likely for survivors to show mercy because only solos would probably do that, and solos are rarely in position to give mercy because they're at the mercy of their teammates who are self-caring in a corner with sloppy butcher.
That's a good way to look at the rarity of it happening.
-
Insta-saw Billy was a thing since DbD's beginning, and he has a 1-hit.
Here we are, almost 5 years now.
I think, at least on the aspect of Killer Powers with 1-hit downs, we're doing just fine.
-
Funny regarding my earlier comment, cause i just had one who DID give their life.
Dwight, if you read this: You know who i am. (I was your Doctor.)
-
The females are much more popular choices, so naturally the cosmetics are leaning more towards them.
When we only had a handful of Survivors, Meg had the clear majority of cosmetics.
-
Point #4 i'm definitely not a fan of, but point #5 i'm a huge fan of.
-
It's literally only the name and the rarity.
And how you get them i guess.
Visually, there's nothing different about it.
-
From now on or since the beginning?
Cause if it's the latter, i don't think we'd be here.
And if you meant from now on: It'd take a good amount of months, but i'd see the same result eventually.
-
Last time i checked: Kindred, Self Care, Iron Will, Prove Thyself.
-
A Killer that can jump over stuff like regular loop walls & dropped Pallets.
The Entity will have to raise the outer walls of every map a bit though.
-
I would probably rate Demo's the highest if the Survivors actually lots their heads.
So i gotta rate Hag the highest: I don't care how terrible the organs may look, at least her Mori actually does additional stuff, while the Chainsaw guys don't make visible cuts, Huntress doesn't split their heads, Doctor doesn't make them look charred, etc.
Plus hers is just brutal.
Least favorite is Trapper, at least Wraith has a leg pull.
-
Getting mixed responses is already better than what i anticipated.
Cool.
-
Yeah, a Bill in my Trial about 7 months ago waited out the EGC, while i was doing nothing anymore cause EGC.
It is *breathes in deeply* EXTREMELY rare to get a Survivor to offer the Killer their life though, Killers letting Survivors go is MUCH more common.

There's been no shortage of poorly written stories with characters just like that in recent years, though.
There's never a shortage of any kind of poor craft at any point.

Oh, right, it's 4%, not Bloodlust T1.
But yeah, across the board, and then slap on the needed Perk Tiers on it. 2/3/4 or 3/4/5.
Oh shoot, forgot Perk Levels!
I remember remembering to add them and then forgot them anyway. π ο»Ώπ ο»Ώο»Ώπ ο»Ώ

I like it. At the moment the best play is to not do Totems, or maybe do one or two, and keep in mind the location of the last group of Totems, doing a quick pass to find NOED if it's active after the last gen is done.
If ALL Totems count towards NOED, then a Dull totem needs to be addressed anyway, so you'll have to do dulls instead of doing a lap around the dulls.
I'd just keep the movespeed a flat 5% bonus as long as you have 1 Token though.
Ya' think?
I thought i'd already raise some eyebrows for bumping it up to 5%. π

I'd like to see a Clown or Legion movie. Though Legion's might be a bit simple and it might be bias because I main Legion.
I'm biased towards Wraith, but i don't think i could see much more interesting stuff in his backstory.
With Doctor i'm simply thinking: "Man, it's been a long-ass time since i've seen an evil dude be evil just cause he's evil. I don't need no tragic backstory or reasonable reasons, just gimme a movie about a guy who is bad."
-
I tried it for a good while and...I feel very mediocre when using it.
What i dislike the most is the cooldown, idk why i can't be rewarded for downing 2 in a short amount of time.
Other than that, like i said, i feel mediocre: You remove 8%, which is about 6 seconds at most, and then apply regular regression, which is nothing a nearby Survivor can't resolve with 1 tap.
I prefer removing a good chunk of progression on a critical Generator using Pop.

DOCTOR!

Wish i could trade with you.

I think the most underrated survivor perk is we'll make it. It is literally a godsend when your teammates are boosted and take unecessary hits in solo queue and is just great to have. It also counters sloppy.
I second this.

Thx a god! It's super weird, I was saying! It is not profitable to go invisible because when you reappear you lose a lot of distance with respect to the survivor and it is a bit frustrating, obviously there are many players playing with the purple and green addon so that this does not happen.
I thought for a lil while that it was intended as well, since the changes mention the slowdown was added.
I was like oh no π

It's already confirmed as a bug.
