Btw not trying to spam but I found another DbD forum that you can take a look at:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/80351/survivor-spawning-very-close-to-the-killer
Pretty much everyone agrees that it's just luck, no one talks about spawn distances and etc. NOT to be rude in anyway.
Like i said before: The minimum distance is set, otherwise we'd have seen way more complaints about actually spawning right next to the Killer, and not the one you complain about.
From that minimum distance on, it's mostly random.
I say "mostly" because the game has to factor in objects the Killer shouldn't spawn in, 2nd floors, etc.
Again, neither of your videos show signs of anything being wrong with spawning distances, you just got unlucky with the random distance that is beyond the set minimum distance.
-
It's kinda weird to not hear the Obsession noise every single trial anymore.
I love it.
-
Might honestly have been an eyesore, with all the bright neon purple.
But i still am curious what it'd be like.
Same for Blight, i'd love to see all these weird puss plants as a regular aesthetic of a map.

I'm not sure if this is how it works, I'm pretty sure the spawn distances are just random. I mean isn't that the reason why the devs added the vigo's shroud? It was for people who wanted to spawn away from the killer instead of right next to them.
Yes, the distances are random, but minimum distances are set to not have you spawn right next to the Killer, which your video shows it's still working.
Vigo's Shroud ensures lots of distance between the two of you, but it doesn't stop you from spawning right next to the Killer because that's not a thing.
-
You're not forced to stay in trials you don't like.

I've seen a video about this glitch. Quite insane, to be honest. Imagine if it still worked. How broken, yet fun, it would be?
Just imagine current Kindred or Empathy.
Kindred: As long as you have one or more hooked, you'll see all other Survivors' Auras.
Empathy: See Injured & Dying Survivors from the other side of the map.
-
Boring.
I'd still continue like usual, but the reason has changed: To get out of this now-one-sided trial ASAP.
-
Oh, the title reminded me of the times where one side could equip the other side's Perks.
Man, Bond on Killer was something else...
Anyway, i'll change my favorite Perk!
fuel hope
The hope of other Survivors ignites your altruism.
Each time you rescue a Survivor from a Hook when the Killer is at least 24 metres away, Fuel Hope receives 1 Token:
- 2 Tokens: 10 seconds after unhooking a Survivor, gain a 3/4/5% Haste Status Effect for the next 10 seconds.
- 3 Tokens: Survivors put into the Injured Health State in any way gain the Endurance Status Effect.
- 5 Tokens: You are granted the ability to revive dead Survivors at their body's location or at the Hook they got sacrificed on.
- (On bodies, it'd be the exact same as healing a Dying Survivor, but instead of healing them from Dying to Injured, you heal them from Dead to Dying.)
- (At Hooks, it'd do the "Cleanse Totem" animation, and it'd simply make the Entity put them back on the Hook, after which you can unhook them.)
- (If the player who controlled the dead Survivor has already left the Trial, the AI takes over. (It's something at least, right? Might be good enough for a small distraction.))
- (Their Hook state is NOT reversed, the next Hooking WILL kill them again.)
Once you have been hooked, the Perk loses all Tokens and deactivates for the remainder of the Trial.
Killers get a visual indicator once they start a chase with you, signaling to them that you have this Perk on.

So you didn't understand what I said, I said that there should be minimum distance from the killer so that both sides can play fair, doesn't need to be far away but as long as it's not spawning anyone close to the killer.
There is a minimum distance, it's why you never get together with a Killer in the same tile in the beginning of the Trial.
It wasn't close here either, you just happened to go towards eachother.
-
Maybe that could root out all the trolls...All the single trolls, that is.
A Survivor group of 3 or 4 will become immune to any kind of votes and also decides whether the Killer (or the solo 4th Survivor) stays in the game.
Imagine being kicked out cause the other 3 Survivors don't want you and your Survivor choice cause you put clothes on them that are quite bright.
As per your suggestion: How could you warn people for voting with nonsense reasons?
The SWF group of 3 can just be like: "Hey, let's vote them out for AFKing cause i don't like how they play."
Customer support already has their hands full with actual problems, i don't think they'd have time to check every votekick.
Having played Left 4 Dead 2 Versus mode for many hours, i can safely say: Any mistake you make can easily start a votekick on you.
And it'll often work, cause people generally love the feeling of having done something successfully.
Oh, and even with this vote system, Left 4 Dead 2 still has PUH-LENTY of "toxicity". (It definitely has its good sides, but so do most PvP games.)
I wouldn't see this work at all, and i fear for the game's future (more than ever) from the day they announce this addition.
-
Not to be mean, but i really like that it caught you off guard.
Isn't that why there's so many spoopy Myers videos? Cause he can catch you off guard more easily than most others.
-
Idk what Dreadout is, but while Fatal Frame sounds cool, i also fear, given the franchise's mechanics, that the Killer's weakness will be something with Flashlights.
EDIT: Okay no, i know what Dreadout is, just didn't know the name.
Got no real opinion on it TBH.
-
There can be an infinite amount of original chapters, but there's a finite amount of licenses.
Plus not every license holder is going to say yes.
I don't know the inner workings of BHVR, but there being more originals than licenses in a year doesn't seem out of place to me.
-
Someone on these forums compared the noises she makes while on the Killer's shoulders to Goofy noises.
When i picked up my first one, i couldn't help but be reminded of that post.
-
I remember this one time on Disturbed Ward.
During the camera-pan thing, i could see a Laurie had spawned in one of those 4 I walls sections.
Also, WAY back in DbD's early life, i spawned as Hillbilly in the Killer Shack with a Survivor.
-
I don't really care honestly: A bad Huntress with crosshairs still won't be better than a good Huntress without one.
Whether i think it should be a thing or not doesn't matter much, since it can't be banned.
My monitor has a function to add one, idk how BHVR is going to ban my monitor from applying one.
-
Cool.
I only use it to shred Pallets with some Shadow Dances.
-
There's a lot to point out here, but i don't really need to comment on that, seems like most people in the comments get it.
-
Not recently, been bored with Survivor for a year now.
-
I wouldn't mind if they made me move away from B&C, but not by nerfing it.

Ok that's not what I said, I mean that they should add distance between the killer and the survivors, doesn't need to be much. Also I'm not sure if it takes 15 seconds to find a survivor that doesn't spawn close to you.
It's indeed not what you said, it's what i understand from what you did say.
The distance between Killer and Survivor is already big, adding even more distance between the Killer & all 4 Survivors (who can spawn at very far distances from eachother as well) would make it hard for the Killer to spawn into the trial at all.
Of course you can find a Survivor within 15 seconds if they spawn far away, all it takes is for both the Survivor & Killer to move towards eachother, whether they meant to or not.
-
Hope it works out for ya'.
-
This is just embarrassing.
Not you btw, not blaming you at all.

What im saying is if they used up fresh ideas first they could think have more time to think about the killer and make a good power
They're gonna keep to their 3-month schedule though.
-
Going to the past doesn't mean awesome Killer.
Frankly i'd love to go very far forward in time and have the Entity pluck a Killer from the year 10k.
Not like time matters to the Entity.

Guess we're opposites. 😋

Really? Many of the threads talking avout it explained what it is and even posted videos of it being done and how.
Even a quick google of it will tell you what it is.
It's about Blight, so i didn't care.
Then this thread popped up (and i still didn't know what it was, so for all i knew, it could've been a thing for all Killers), so i thought: "Fine, guess i'll see what all the fuss is about."

So? This still doesn't make rng right, hiding shouldnt be necessary at the start of the game, but the clip that I just posted shows close to a immediate terror radius.
hiding shouldnt be necessary at the start of the game
So you want free reign for the first 15 seconds every single Trial?
Cause that's just not gonna happen, spawn points can never always be that kind to you.
Making it less RNG won't help at all, it'll just make Killers remember spawn points.

Mmmm, still seems fine.
You can also just hide instead of sprinting in the open, if you don't want to be found too quickly.
Also, i don't know if your previous comment refers to this clip, but there was no immediate Terror Radius.
This is immediate Terror Radius: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_QBNPGCV50

I'm not doing this Rift seriously for sure, there's no Wraith stuff on it.
-
Hey if it works for you, that's great!
-
One thing i'll say is that it's weird to see way less dev interaction in the forums now.
I think that's been a thing ever since that coconut guy responded to one, talking about the Pop nerf, saying DS has too much time on it as well.
It's been way more quiet here now aside from the occassional mod here and there.
-
They are planning lots of things.
Some plans have taken years, like the Hatch standoff.
Have fun waiting.
-
Finally i know what a J-flick even is.
-
I remember writing someone's profile name got censored.
Sorry, i don't remember the name itself, but it wasn't anything bad.
-
Yeah, it's a key aspect of the game.
It's why lots of people prefer to SWF with at least 1 Survivor.
-
Sshhh!
I don't want people to use DH, they'll find my DH! 😥

Yeah honestly, this needs to be called out more.
-
LOVE it, i can't take it off my Wraith anymore!
Just gonna cloak-walk back and get that unhooker for another hooking.
Death sentence in Basements.
That's on Wraith though, idk about other Killers or other playstyles.
-
Successfully super-lunges is where it's at for me.
Successfully sneaking up on them, uncloaking the first half behind a wall, then showing yourself at the same moment as the Wailing Bell does the first BONG, and then just FLYING off towards your target.
There's nothing like it in the game for me.
I enjoy me a Spirit & Doctor & Oni, but this is just MMM!
And maybe the fact that he was always somewhat weaker than others is what enticed me as well.
-
Nothing for you nor any player.
All it does is tell the devs you gave someone props.
They're not doing anything with it right now.
-
I really dislike it when Survivors DC during the pick-up animation.
I don't want that constant carry music.
-
It kinda sucks you'll get a DC penalty, cause yes: I fully support this DC.
If IRL emergencies are a good reason to DC, then this would surely be included.
-
This'll be the first big event ever since they announced they'll only do 2 big events each year.
I worry, but that's only cause it's the first one, i moreso have a feeling of excitement.
...Just don't mix in Archives so heavily, please.
-
I like to imagine a long-ass anime battle with Ghost Face finally winning, and then it turns out to be a Phantasm.

- Make Your Choice
Why use the Add-ons you have the most of?
It mixes up how i play and it makes sure i keep the Add-ons i want for the different builds i have, like sweaty, anti-Pallet, anti-Generator, etc. (Those Add-ons are usually of higher rarities and higher rarities are generally less easy to find on Bloodwebs, so this is what i chose to do.)
What about the other Offerings?
- I really don't care where the Basement spawns, nor to see where it is.
- Same goes for Hatch, i really don't care about any Blueprints.
- Coins work against you, it'll just make Chest-hungry Survivors do Generators instead.
- I actually used to like the 3 Fog-increasing Reagents for Wraith, to hide his cloak better. Now that he's invisible from 20 meters and on, it's not worth it.
- So Clear Reagent was also working against me, but now it's just nothing.
- Hooks are usually readily available, and having more than 1 Survivor use a Petrified Oak is too rare for me to want to start using these.
- Moris are all just for show now. (And to avoid DS i guess, but that's rare for me anyway.)
- Like the Blueprints, i really don't care which map i go to, not even Haddonfield.
- Shroud of Separation is great if i want to lose fast.
- Sacrificial Ward would be nice if i cared where i went. It's also used up whether or not there were map Offerings, so that's kinda #########.
Oh, to explain Black Ward: It's kinda cool to me, you gain value without spending BP.
If you used 2 Ultra Rares, you traded 14k BP for 2 Ultra Rare Add-ons without actually spending the 14k.
Only on 2 Commons is it not worth to use: You get 6k out of that, which is how much the Offering costs, so 0 profit.
Plus it's also just nice to not use up Add-on combinations you like.
What's that perk build?
To gain Hex: Devour Hope power without caring about its Hex Totem...directly.
- First, the essential ingredient: Hex: Devour Hope.
- Then Barbecue & Chili: The incentive to get Tokens for H: DH is one i want to follow, i want to gain Tokens after all, so having a destination confirmed is nice. Also BP.
- Then Hex: Undying: Just a nice back-up, i want to care about H: DH just a tiny tad.
- Lastly Make Your Choice: Great Perk for Wraith who can now traverse the 32 meters back real quick, and put the next one on the Hook for more Tokens.
If Hex: Devour Hope falls anyway, B&C & MYC still make great Perks, MYC especially is quite terrifying on this boy, Basements are quite the death sentence.
-
I only play games i find fun.
I enjoy this game, so i play it.
It's not like i can't see problems, and i had to take some moderation with the game to keep enjoying it.
But y'know, while i still enjoy playing this game i already bought, i don't have to spend money to find a new game to enjoy.
Of course i still get a new game every now and then, but you know what i mean.

That's a bit of a confusing answer since most of those have 2.
Unless you mean that both Ultra Rare Add-ons on all but the Huntress are that good.

I guess that is true, it has just been very poor emblem changes. It used to be that 4K = merciless (always merciless). They should simply say to Playstation that it is no longer possible to get merciless with a simple 4K, and they need to change the achievement to reflect that. Seems like a simple thing to do.
It's quite simple to Sony: Achievable trophy & accurate description? Okay, not allowed to change then.
Why Sony can't is beyond me, maybe changing Trophies is a ######### to do, like how changing your account name on PS can ######### up your saves in some games.
But that's just a minor-educated guess.
Anyway, i can also tell you why BHVR won't change it on every platform but PlayStation platforms: They want it to be consistent on all platforms.
