faint hex
Both sides can get this Offering.
At the start of the trial, a randomly chosen Dull Totem (if available) becomes a Hex Totem, and will function as one in every way, but there's no Hex Perk assigned to it.
When cleansed, if it's a Hex Totem created by a Survivor Offering, only the Survivor who cleansed it gets the BP.
When cleansed, if it's a Hex Totem created by a Killer Offering, both the Survivor who cleansed it and the Killer get BP, the Killer gets the BP in the Deviousness category.

Not my experience, all of the Twitch streamers i visited at their stream either had nothing to say or nice things to say.
Thanks for your warning, but i won't take it into consideration.
-
Yeah well, no one is always right. 😜

"Game: The Forest"
Thanks, YouTube.

Take Undying with it.
You like Devour because it gives you something to work towards in a match, It's a reward for effort invested. And makes the match not the same thing for each and every part of it as Killer, you get a Surprise instadown, maybe get to Mori a Survivor.
Because, let's be honest, outside of the difference of a Killers Power, the Killer playstyle is quite nearly the same thing throughout the entirety of the match, Power+M1 a Survivor twice until they are on Hook.
It would probably be better to shake up the Killer's default gameplay loop in some manner, rather than trying to make one Perk that shakes it up so significantly (and can be heavily dependent on map/Totem spawn)
I already have Hex: Undying with me, but other than that i disagree.
I don't see why the game couldn't allow both a shake-up for regular Killer gameplay & Perks, nor do i see how my proposed changes would make this Perk that much more of a shake-up than it already is right now.
Rather, without my proposed change, it's only less of a shake-up than it could be due to those lucky, super-early cleanses.

It always seems to me in my trials that Bills do exactly what the 3 Teachables tell him to do: To be very selfless and be able to do something on their own, and not in any "triggering" ways.
I also have a unique soft spot for Bills ever since his voice actor died. (Not in DbD, the one from Left 4 Dead.)
Bills are really my favorite bois.
Weirdly enough, i feel like in my trials that the females are playing more in that way while the guys are generally more on the wholesome side.
-
Wouldn't say it's toxic, it's just extremely boring.
-
- Removing the message that your character is level 50 when completing a Bloodweb when that character already was level 50
- 1 Shrine of Secrets for Survivors, 1 for Killers
- Fill up all empty gaps on Archive Rifts with BP and/or (small) IS rewards
Idk anything else right now really, brain is dead.
-
Wait for the game's release and then wait for a month, then we'll see if it's doing well or not.
-
Well my mind immediately jumps to Activision throwing lootboxes left and right, or Bethesda breaking the game way more than BHVR ever could.
So i prefer not to.
-
Can't really remember an ultimate singular lucky trial, but i do feel very lucky whenever i can get some hits and kills in with my Devour Hope Totem being on a hill or near a Generator.
-
Blue Screen Of Death right before i started a Devour Hope kill animation.
That was my old PC btw, it was definitely at old age.
-
Every trial.
-
What is there to do?
I just play like usual.
-
On.
-
And besides being able to date ho- I mean psychos from slasher flicks
Are you sure about that?
Apparently, some licenses were already a ######### to get into the game, and it took forever to get Myers anything other than the usual outfit.
Heck, Quentin & Freddy still have nothing new.
-
HSHS is new.
I wonder how you'll feel about that game after 1.3k hours.
-
I don't dislike what they did with Wraith & Nurse, but other than that i prefer to not get into that stuff.
-
The game prevents me from playing Survivor more consistently by making it way too dull.
To get me to play it more, i need more variety in the basic gameplay.
-
Sure, sounds like an enormous buff to his kit!
-
I want Mimic Chests.
Not for balancing reasons, just wanna see Chests go nom nom on Survivors.

Or, better yet, have totem perks not active at the start of the game. Have killers go around and place them on dull totems. This would prevent them being gone immediately as well as add a more in-depth mechanic.
As long as that's optional, i'd be fine with it.
I actually prefer to not have to waste my time on placing it, the beginning of the Trial is too important to me.
-
Then you'll probably have to pull off a lot of all-nighters.

Question: looping and being stealthy are basically the only two aspects that bring killer/survivor interactions. If you find them boring why do you play killer/this game?
It's when i get only loopers or only stealthers that it'll get boring real quick.
The keyword here is "only", a balance of stealth and looping is what i encounter the most, hence i'm not bored with the game.
Also the Survivor side isn't the sole dictator of my enjoyment of the game, i'm a Killer-only player cause i enjoy Killer way more.
-
Killer-only here, don't mind at all if they stealth around, i don't really consider it more boring than looping.
It's when i get only loopers or only stealthers that it'll get boring real quick.

Who did you Main?
Wraith.
Why did you Main them?
Cause i like how he plays.
Did they change drastically over your time with them?
Wouldn't say any change so far has been drastic, but there have been so many, he's not even close to his original self anymore.
Did you “drop” that Killer almost immediately or after a long period of time?
After a long period of time.
or Did you adapt to the changes and continue to Main them?
In terms of using them effectively, i always adapt. In terms of fun, i don't adapt at all. I either like to play as them or i don't. Wraith only got more fun over time for me, so that made the decision easy.
Did you find a New Main? Who?
Used to main Hillbilly for a while back in the ol' days, cause i find him fun to play too and he was way stronger than Wraith at the time, but i got sick of the Chainsaw noises after a few months so it didn't last too long.
If your Killer hasn’t had any drastic changes or your still fairly new to the game...do you think you would be the type to give up on your Main or continue using them no matter the changes?
If they announce Wraith goes through drastic changes or a full-on rework, i'm going to be extremely nervous. Depending on what happens to him, i might drop the game altogether. Multiple other Killers are still fun to me, but none of them are a hook like Wraith is to me. One example i just mentioned is Hillbilly.
-
None.
-
I wish props would do something, so yes please.
Wouldn't even care if SWF could abuse it on themselves.
-
As long as enough players want a thing for long enough, it'll be an option eventually.
I bet if literally every player wouldn't play until Spongebob is brought in as a Killer, you'd soon be catching Survivors in your jellyfish net & put them on giant fish hooks.
-
The way i see it, if you can't have hope for this one, you can't have hope for any events anymore.
Which is a you-do-you case, but i have hope to some degree for this one.
-
That's awesome to hear!
For years now, when i do play Survivor, it's 90% a Huntress.
She's insanely popular around here.
-
1) what chapter did you start playing dbd in
Base.
2) who was your first survivor main and who is your current survivor main(s)
Dwight, Kate.
3) who is your first killer main and who is your current killers main(s)
Wraith, Wraith.
-
Good to see there's someone else who thought those picture questions were all very weird.
-
The fact that Alan Wake was on the list and that i'm the only person ever in DbD to bring it up publicly makes me think they took our ideas. 😋
-
Useful: Some Totems spawn close to Generators.
Funny: Some Totems spawn close to Generators.
-
"Just don't be scared." Easy fix.
-
So all we can do is click Spectate and look at a randomly chosen map.
I like it.
-
Mmmm no, i don't really do self-hate.
-
Awww, why you view me like that? 😥
-
Absolutely i would want that!
Idc how inferior the AI would be to the real deal, at least i can add another singleplayer game to enjoy. (Context: I much more prefer singleplayer games, DbD is an exception.)
-
I guess Killers that can go ZOOM at the press of a button.
Wraith, Spirit, Oni, Hillbilly, Legion...
Not Nurse though.

By later visually do you mean like changes to is design or and updated design or both?
Updated would be okay i guess, maybe he'd fit in more with the new maps that way.
I don't really need to see any changes in his design, he looks fine.
-
Don't think Wraith needs to be altered visually.
He could have his own chase music though, and i wouldn't mind if his footsteps and/or growling was lowered a bit in volume while cloaked.
And yes, at least 1 animation could get a rework: The kill animation of course.
But also: Give him a new main-menu animation.
He has a bell, make him ring it.

Kind of similar to this, I once had someone tell me because I main Wraith I'm probably bad at the game.
This was after of course, I killed them.
Oh yeah, it's always ironic to hear you're bad from a killed Survivor.
Situations may put this claim in a different light, but generally it doesn't make sense what they're saying.

Lol thanks for the heads up. I need to give it, evil within, and Outlast a try although I did play a good bit of outlast. I've played just about all of the other major horror games
Can't speak for Evil Within, but i did enjoy my time with Outlast I.

Interesting. Yeah ive considered giving it a try but just never had a chance
Oh well if you haven't yet, i recommend it.
I wouldn't say it'll blow your mind, but i think it's a nice change of pace from everything else.
If you'll try it, do prepare for...mediocre graphics. It's not ugly, but you'd notice it's not a new game.

I mever played much Alan Wake. Worth going back to?
Ehh, i wouldn't say so.
It plays like a more fluid RE4 which i enjoy, but given how insanely narrative-based it is, once you've played it once, you've played it forever.
The light mechanic is a neat idea when enemies ambush you in earlier levels, but it'll get tedious to have to beam everything when waves of enemies hit later on.
Would still love an Alan Wake 2 though.
-
Still think Alan Wake would make a great Survivor-only Paragraph.
Amnesia would most likely be a Killer-only Paragraph, due to the lack of alive humans in the first game. (We don't talk about A Machine For Pigs.) And i don't think the license holders would have a 3D model of Daniel be revealed in a different game.
I'd really like SOMA, i've had the thought of being in an underwater base for a map for a while now.

Lots of people are sleeping on him because he's had a history of being bad but rn he is in the strongest state he's ever been in
Won't deny that.

The worst thing about it is that they're not only NOT addressing it in the Coldwind update, but making it even worse on some maps. The basement in Rancid Abattoir has an even smaller doorway, judging by pictures.
(If the video doesn't automatically jump to the timestamp, please do so yourself, at 13:23.)
Here you can see how little the Killer can move left and right in the doorway.
I'm not on the PTB myself so i can't say yes or no to this, but it seems very worrying.
