  • I just eat them with Enduring, i need that ######### out of my matches ASAP.
I will dribble if it's obviously doable though, mainly to just say f u.

    Mmmm no, too powerful.
    Franklin's Demise should though.

Oh to the hell no, Franklins procs off melee attacks, ehre let me throw an axe at you from across the map for free dura loss and item drop. There's enough wide open maps where huntresses can already nuke anyone she sees.

It's very easy to not get hit by an across-the-map hatchet.
For example, here's one thing you mustn't do: Stay still.
And another one: Repair the generator on the side that faces the map wall/faces a not-open area.

  • Mmmm no, too powerful.
    Franklin's Demise should though.

  • I always run DH cause it's fun.

So what I'm seeing in the comments is that a bunch of low ranking people who think killer is underpowered lmfao.

I can give a better example the jump scare Myers build easily used and you can end games pretty quickly and note this is rank 1 killer against survivors under rank 5 if you don't believe me how that's played then at this point the discussion is useless to people who are brain damaged.

What i'm seeing is a person plagued by ignorance and a lack of knowledge.
And also easily triggered by the harsh truth, lashing out with insults to protect their thoughts believed to be facts.

The second one it's a pretty nice idea, but I don't like the first one because it will not fix anything

It will partially fix not actually getting a kill for your Daily Ritual.

I think a better fix it's that the ritual it's completed (and points for Kill) when you're in the first second of the animation, so it will be nice with your second idea, not canceling the animation and gaining the points and ritual in the first seconds.

Hmmm no, then i'll stick to my idea, i think that's better.
It's only an average of 12 seconds of not being able to quit out and it ends for the Survivor afterwards.

Even just an idicator who is grouped. Idc about 2 duos of swf but I may dodge 4 mans. If they don't like getting dodged, grab a 5th and play KYF

Or just suck it up and be a better killer. Theres hundreds of people who stream this game as killer and never DC because it;s scummy.

I'm certain you just convinced all dodgers to not dodge anymore.

  • Someone else probably does.

  • One where all other Survivors suicided and i saved myself using Left Behind and the Hatch.
    Got my heart racing.

Sorry but he should be nerfed. Way too fast and to have his potion slow you to 80% is just ridiculous. Not saying he should walk but let's be realistic about it. He is a large clown that sounds like he needs an inhaler and he can move that damn fast. Yes I read his backstory but after all the years of fiddling with these potions seem to have made him wheeze..put that together with his size and he is going to out run me with Sprint Burst even with no potion thrown? Get real

Have you ever seen that the Hillbilly doesn't walk normally?
One of his legs doesn't function as well as it normally should.

By your logic, we'd have to strip the Hillbilly of his Power to sprint entirely and maybe even make him slower than the Nurse to fit his walk animation.

    No, YOU get real.

  • It'll also trump Mint Rag, just saying.

and almost seems that HE controls the outcome of the game, not the survivors

Here's your answer on why he's how he should be.

  • Communication, cause it's just straight up cheating.

Bear Traps are revealed to all if 1 spots them, Phantasm Traps are revealed to all if 1 spots them, Hex Totems are revealed to all if 1 spots them, Object of Obsession is now free and doesn't have a negative, Bond is now free, Empathy is now free, Kindred is now free, using Insidious for camping is impossible, they'll tell others what Add-ons and Perks you run once they're dead (Yes, i know they want to remove this, but they've made empty promises before, so i'm not counting on it.), they can tell eachother who's the Obsession and, additionally, if they're affected by Dying Light.

The devs want to buff solo Survivors to be as good in a place as SWF Survivors.
Yeah, that's never gonna happen, for they'd have to destroy the entire concept of numerous Perks.

Yes, the devs don't view communication as cheating.
And yes, i'll keep viewing it as cheating.

  • A lot of games.
What drew me in was being a Killer.

  • Oh, i thought of something pretty neat, though it'll never happen.
You know how Nightmare and Shape have some Obsession-based Add-ons?
Why not give all Killers 1 extra Add-on that is based on Hexes?

For Nightmare for example, there'd be one that would make all Totems not appear nor be interactable with while you are awake.

Or with Pig, it will put Entity Blockers on all Totems.
And then, as a Survivor, if you find the right Jigsaw Box and successfully take off the Reverse Bear Trap, the Entity will think you played well and, as a reward, will remove the Entity Blockers on the Totems.

    Stuff like that.

  • I bought black pants for Hillbilly, that's it so far. xD

Arguably, it is a lot more rewarding than a normal selfish Save. Get the save points, heal points, and the definite Plus 1 to your Emblem. It's so satisfying! And if you have WGLF, it's p a r a d i s e

Yet lots of Survivors don't run it, simply because the description doesn't scream: "You'll benefit too, btw." :p

  • @Poweas said:
Wish it happened though, it would make him better then Mike/Huntress are.

Well the bottles are slow and thus much easier to dodge than Hunting Hatchets. But i guess it would put him higher up, for things like windows.
I wish Devour Hope wasn't a Hex Perk, but we can't always have what we want. ;)

  • As Killer, i only admire Survivors for running such an amazing Perk, especially if they replaced Self Care with it.
You'll just barely ever see it cause it's not a selfish Perk. (Not directly at least.)

  • I feel like it's not useful enough.

why are overly altruistic (I’m not, I make educated logical saves unless I really need to yolo) survivors a problem for you guys? Bc from survivor POV it’s annoying for me when they are. This is Bc gens aren’t getting done and everyone else is usually on their 2nd 3rd hook with my chances of making it growing grimmer. From my POV as a survivor it taxes the team and helps you. What’s your POV?

I hate it cause they'll usually hook while i'm closer than 24 meters to the hook, meaning i don't get a DH Token. :'(

Some of the hex spawns have been very good, others not as much. I do think there has been some improvement. I did have a round where it spawned next to a generator and another in the open. I have also seen ones hidden really well. It seems to vary by map.

The maps after Hag have been the better ones, cause they take Totem spawns into consideration now.
The earlier maps all didn't have Totems at all, and they needed to put them somewhere before the patch release, so they didn't have a lot of time.
But that's no excuse to leave it so horrible for a year.

Anyway, i don't see improvements at all.
While i most certainly don't get hill spawns 24/7, most aren't hidden at all, but rather just obscured by 1 wall (whether that be a brick wall, a wall of junk, a few rocks etc.) to prevent you from being able to see it from the middle.

Since hiding the totems clearly doesn't work why not add something to the mix. For example in order to cleanse a hex you must first find a item hidden on the map (lets use a doll as an example) that doll must then be brought to the totem in order to begin the "cleansing ritual" that will also have skill checks. This is a very simple idea that will make finding the totem not as meaningful unless you also have the "doll". It would also require the survivor with the doll to perform the cleanse or at least drop the doll for another survivor. It would prolong totem life and give survivors something else to do, or if they choose to ignore the totem then to just work through it.

I'd like to see the cleanse interaction (only for Hex Totems) put a penalty on the Survivor if they stop in any manner (getting hit, just leaving etc.) before completing said interaction.
What that penalty is i do not know, but it should be something severe, like a curse.
I mean, they cleanse it instead of just kicking it over, which suggests to me it's not a good idea to mess with it.

Maybe as a curse they become the killer and are forced to play the rest of the match against their own salty team?

    But...But then i can't Devour Hope. :'( :p

  • I still think they should open their Steam Workshop, but in the same way as Team Fortress 2...
Only allow people to upload customizations and rate them.
The customizations with enough positive votes will go to the developer team.
And then they decide whether they'll actually put it in the game or not. (This is a necessary step. If everyone votes for a pink bikini for Meg, which the devs don't want (or so they claim), it shouldn't be put in the game. No matter how much we like the game, it's not ours, it's theirs.)
I think that would be the best way to have the community be involved with cosmetics.

Same here. Just look at this. It's in the middle of nowhere. It's not even hidden.

Ugh, this gets me annoyed immediately.
"Improved totem placement in various maps" Improved for Survivors, i guess. They removed all good spots instead. >_<

  • @MegaWaffle said:
You seem surprised that the "fix" didn't work. I take you're new here?
In all honesty I think they just need to change how hex works as this is like the forth "hex placement" patch will no real result. Some maps are just not built for the hex totems current design while other are pretty decent.

    You are mistaken.
Went to the Steam forums for the first time after a few months of this game's release, never stopped coming back to it, then moved to this website after it was created.

    I'm not surprised, i'm aggravated.
In addition, it's important to point things out that aren't how they're supposed to be, or else they might just leave it how it is.

  • IF i have the chat open, i usually just say: "You got killed by a(n) [X]."
[X] being whatever they called me.
    Then leave.

this has to be the laziest type of thread imaginable.

i should make a thread asking peoples opinion on waffles, and not even give my own.

You'd have to go to Off-topic for that. ;)

  • No, no and no.

  • Good for Sprint Burst, unnecessary for all other Exhaustion Perks.

  • Sprint Burst shouldn't cause Exhaustion, but Super-Exhaustion: A special kind of Exhaustion that does what they want to make the current Exhaustion: Not recoverable while running.
Sprint Burst nerfed, all other Exhaustion Perks unaffected.

  • I think we really need some form of casual matchmaking, where ranking is non-existant.
In turn, ranked matchmaking should give out rewards. You know, what they said they wanted to implement for 2 years now.

  • 3 times by now, i've been like: "An actual decent amount of people say this is good on Nurse, so i'll try it."
All 3 tries, that lasted for a day, end up in me thinking: "Not worth it at all!"

  • If they didn't add it, there's a good reason for it.
I don't want them to work on it until they solve whatever it was that made them hold back that idea, it'd just be a mess, and yes, more of a mess than the game by itself. ;P

  • Trapper needs changes badly. And not cause he's weak, but cause he's old. He comes from a time where the Killer couldn't even break Generators and BNPs were instant, yet games went by about just as fast as now.

As for Exhaustion, i actually agree. But Sprint Burst needs this kind of nerf.

  • I just read the title. Call me lazy, that's fine cause i do feel lazy.
But in terms of answering the title: There's no NEED to play competitively.
I have Devour Hope equipped on all Killers at all times, i will NOT play without it, i find it too much fun to use.
But that's just an example, doesn't have to be DH. You can, for example, go for an Obsession-only build or a build with Perks focusing on helping you with chases etc. etc.

  • I want Doctor's Power Daily Ritual to be harder, just shocking someone 4 times is way too easy.
There's a BP gain specific to the Doctor called: "Attack Bonus".
It's gained by, and i quote, "when landing a hit on a Survivor shortly after they are hit with the Shock Therapy Attack".
Sorry, but getting 20K because you shocked someone 4 times is laughably easy.

  • I don't find him irritating at all.
It's called personal tastes, yours will differ from others and theirs will differ from yours.

  • Everyone has some difference in taste of entertainment.
So yeah, some'll find quick games fun.
