All that for just 1-2 (un)safe pallets or windows?
What's the point of this?
The players will carry such game-changing Perks and whatnot, yet you don't want to add balancing changes around them, only making 1 tile more/less safe. All 4 Survivors will carry 4 DS: Now this pallet and that window won't be safe.
WeeeeeeeeeeeIt makes a difference at the highest level, where players know the game very well and can take those minor advantages.
I play Gears of War. We have something called "right hand advantage" which means exactly what it says. The game is in 3rd person but all the characters hold weapons in their right hand. Due to the nature of shooting mechanics in the game (either camera shot or barrel shot depending on which game you reference), the shots come from the right side of the character model and thus when engaging an enemy you always want them on your right. If you are both on a piece of cover, whoever comes the right will basically be able to shoot around corners. This is IMPOSSIBLE from left hand, unless you do left hand glitch but then you need to be aimed which slows your movement. 1v1's around cover tend to be counter-clockwise circles. It's a very simple thing that, for most of the player base, actually makes no difference. But for the BEST players in the game, it is the ONLY difference that matters a lot of the time. These guys are so good and know the game so well that the only way another of their caliber can beat them is if they have this inherent advantage from the game. Granted they can beat each other from left hand, but right hand is the significantly safer option especially in Gnasher fights.
Basically I want for DBD something that only affects the upper echelon of players, or at least those players attempting to play at that level. If you bring a lot of OP stuff into the game then it's only fair when the killer brings a lot of OP stuff too (NOED, mori). So to slightly nerf these things in terms of RNG such that, if you play fair you are less likely to be totally screwed by RNG (or perhaps worse, you play unfair and get all the best RNG) would be an acceptable to balance these things and those that abuse it will be beaten by players than can use those advantages. Thus to avoid giving such advantages players would reconsider what they bring into a trial.
So 90% of the playerbase won't even feel an effect.
The premise of my comment has changed, but the result is kinda the same.
What's the point? We both know devs appeal to the majority of the players. -

Lol, how about...
Hex: SANIC
When the Survivors are on the verge of escaping, you put on your red & white sneakers.
Once the Exit Gates are powered, if a Dull Totem remains on the map, this Hex is applied to it.
You gain a permanent Bloodlust Tier 3 effect.
Your Terror Radius music changes to the SANIC ear-######### theme. -
fabled: well known for being of great quality or rarity; famous.
Well, we know you don't view that squad as having great quality, so you must mean they're super rare.In short, you're gonna stop playing because of 1 occurrence.
I dislike those squads too, but i find that to be a crying-baby reason to quit. -
Scummy.
But it's used by a lot of SWF parties, who make up most of the Survivors now, so good luck with removing that ability. -
I see Killers get looped all match and i see Survivors get ######### on.
Both sides can be #########.
But isn't that what online gaming's all about?
You're behind a monitor, you can unleash whatever horrid personality you have without consequences as long as it's within the game's rules. It's often the unpleasant matches that you remember well.
I betcha everyone has more average and/or good matches than bad matches. -
Playing Wraith.
Had a lobby fill with a 4-man squad today: Toolbox-wielding, half-naked David, bloody flashlight-wielding Claudette, med-kit-wielding Adam & toolbox-wielding Nea.
Everyone uses BP Offerings, Map is the new Spirit one.Nothing interesting happens until i hook the David in the corner of the map next to the main building. (The corner without a jungle gym.)
I saw a Claudette crouch behind the little wall, and i manage to down her close by the hook.
Now normally i dislike camping, but...- I knew they were all friends
- A good setup like this i don't get often unintentionally
I get in a big bush and stand still to be invisible.
David doesn't signal i camp.
Nea comes by and tries to hide behind the little wall as well.
I slap her but she gets away.
While she's now busy healing, Adam comes to try as well.
I chase and down him.
Thanks to B&C from hooking Adam, i know where Nea is and i down her.
I proceed to grab Claudette and BARELY make it to a nearby hook. (I swear, that corner is a dead asf corner once that 1 hook is used there.)
I stay until she uses up her self-unhooks, she goes into phase 2.
I hook Nea and stay until she uses up her self-unhooks, she goes into phase 2.
They only did 1 Generator, so i had no worries.
Adam uses DS on me, manages to run from me for 14 seconds.
Then hook him.I dislike to camp cause i get no enjoyment out of staying still.
But it can be effective if the Survivors are greedy, dumb or both.
Don't be a dummy or a Mr. Krabs and camping won't even be a factor to you as Survivor. -

I did not think of that. But thank you for your "normal" answer.
Not sure why you're putting normal like that, but no problem.
Because the others are going wild af with insults and doubts towards my skill (though I am not a pro, lel) xD
Oh.
Yeah, some tend to lose sight of the subject when people talk about skill.
They can't stop to shove into your face what "actual" skill is, explaining how they're doing so much better. -

they are completely ruining the gameDo they though?
DS is my least favorite thing about the game right now, but i don't think the game's ruined for me. -
Just any with DS in it.
-
...Because you say so?
-
I'm not noticing a lack of Survivors.
And i wouldn't change roles for more BP. -
Dislike
- Decisive Strike as Survivor & Killer
- Hatch as Survivor & Killer
- Totems as Killer
Like
- Hex: Devour Hope as Survivor & Killer
- Wraith as Killer
- Enduring + Spirit Fury as Killer

Everyone has their preferences and this isn't supposed to be a strong strong perk either.
Idk, Kindred is pretty godamn strong as it is now.
It's just that no one likes it cause you have to suck to profit from it. -

I have just started missing it after this thread—it’s essentially another stack and a half of STBFL. I thought it still had it

Okay, that's 1 who misses it.
-
Lol, someone just got hit, but Laurie's just standing here: "Why would a house need 2 Generators?"
-
Gonna repeat others by saying this, but it's true...
Learn to effectively use your eyes and ears.
I can't put it any more nicely than that, after a month of playing i never touched Premonition again. -
Someone said No Mither before and that's a good way to look at it.
Yes, you can equip other Perks to play around with the fact that you're always injured, but you are still injured.
You'll always go down in 1 hit.
You have Dead Hard available all the time. But that's useless unless you're in a chase.
Plus those who are healthy have a longer chase overall due to being slapped into the Injured health state first and THEN also having Dead Hard.Someone, long ago, showed a bug where the HUD was just gone. No info whatsoever on the 4 Survivors, nor on the Gen progress, nor on your Perks in the lower-right corner.
Now THAT i want. -
Nah, i wouldn't run that new Kindred.
-
Survivors trying to get you be the target is a valid tactic though.
The only one who could be "punished" by that situation is if the Killer truly ONLY targets them because of the other Survivor. -
That was one of my wishes as well, until i realized that you can terrorize low ranks with 11 other Killers without having to derank.
Sure, you might not be as skilled with this Killer than with that one, but almost all Killers play the same basic way anyway. -
To be fair, no one's going to miss that 8%.

The Wraith Depressios are out today I see!Yeah, that's a great way to get support: Mock others.
-
It worked last time cause EVERYONE cried.
I haven't seen the forums flooded with cries for the last few hours, so good luck, you'll need it. -
Sounds like you don't want a Killer Perk to be able to defeat a Survivor Perk.
Iron Grasp is already #########, it's main benefit can be done anyway by holding A or D.
And those 2.5 extra seconds are barely ever useful.
Now it's good for at least 1 thing and you wanna throw that away.Boil Over, whenever i encounter it, is actually mildly annoying.
You can still counter it, partially, using A & D, but the immediate push to the left or right the Survivor makes with Boil Over can still screw you over. -
It should play a noise- & visual notification when a regressing Generator is being repaired.
-
The fastest way is to hit the season reset.
Instant loss of like 12 ranks. -
Just stay in the match as long as possible.
-
Well right now i'm running kill- & 1-hit Perks, which includes H: NOED.
I'm not sorry though, i run into Self Cares & Decisive Strikes every match. -
Ooo, passive Fire Up.
-
Idk, weren't Moon Offerings just removed as well?

I got my free Wraith outfit.
Then i made a new save as the Commando on Borderlands 2.Needless to say, i had fun.

The last thing i need is being slowed down even more. But you're not being slowed down, nor are you receiving a speed boost in this regard.
What you are though is getting a distance advantage, which the killer isn't unless chasing a survivor in a straight line. So the killer has to spend a significant amount of time to chase one down, and even if the killer manages to secure a hit, the killers gets slowed and unable to do any other action than move very slowly, where the survivor gets a speedboost, this is basically another chance to escape, and with the chase/turn/looping mechanics as they are, it's very likely that the survivor will escape and just heal up, which basically means the killer has effectively just wasted a ton of time.In order to be better balanced survivor move speed and turn speed should be the same as the killer, and if they want a difference, then those differences should balance each other out, they currently do not.
I meant as Killer.
-
I assume you'll be able to opt in and out of this.
Daily Rituals happen naturally, and i'm not a fan of being forced to play a certain way. -
The last thing i need is being slowed down even more.
-
Could make it so you get a Token on Thanatophobia everytime you hook someone for the first time.
And you'll get [VALUE]% per Token.Yes, that would make it work just like B&C. But...
- Giving B&C that instead would just needlessly buff it.
- That way just works well. Disencourages camping too, so Survivors shouldn't cry.
It would actually make Thanatophobia the complete opposite of Dying Light if you were to give 6.25% per hooked Survivor (adding it up to 25% once you hooked all 4), as Dying Light gives 25% for hooking 1 specific Survivor to death.
So why do i say the Tokens have to be gained by hooks?
Well, besides the overall good concept of hooking multiple Survivors to gain the full benefit introduced by B&C, to me there's another reason: When someone gets hooked, you're notified by this unnatural noise (besides the screaming) and you're given this weird black circle of where it happened.
If it were me, and i wasn't terrified of dying yet, i would be then. -
Lol, those poor console people.
They're gonna question why their Wraith isn't terrorizing anyone while also fear the ######### out of the Nurse. -
On top of that, i'd prefer for the Doctor to have to gain Attack Bonus points instead of Shocked points.
Look here if you don't know what i mean: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Bloodpoints#Deviousness
Why? Well, Doc's Daily is just too easy in comparison. -
I know.

There's WAY too many Offerings overall, i'd delete all those Common & Uncommon BP Offerings & make the Rare BP Offerings Common except BPS.
-
When i hook someone in the basement after the Generators are repaired, there's one thing that almost always happened...
The Chest in the basement has been looted.
I don't use the Perk myself, but that doesn't mean i think it's useless.
I never use A Nurse's Calling, but that Perk is great, i can certainly admit that.I used to run this a lot on Hillbilly, there's almost always a Survivor who can't resist their greed and goes to loot that Chest.
And if they're against a Hillbilly running TI (Territorial Imperative), that's like giving the devil your soul.
Just go there, down them, hook them and go far away.
What's even more alluring than a Chest? A hooked Survivor.
Anyone would bet that someone would go rescue them.
Once the Perk triggers, IMMEDIATELY go back to the basement: There's a huge chance you'll now have 2 Survivors to hook.Anyway, that's why i wouldn't like it that you put such a huge cooldown on it. (Huge in comparison at least.)
30 seconds is pretty much non-existant when you have to do the following things to set up the TI trap:- Go over there
- Down them
- Grab them
- Hook them
- Get out of range
Plus, if you equip B&C, which is what most do anyway, you don't need that aura buff of yours either.
