I always do, i prefer things getting OP rather than UP, cause OP stuff quickly gets addressed while UP stuff usually rots at the bottom of the well cause no one picks that stuff and thus it's not in the spotlight.

[NEW GAME MECHANICS]ย Hex totems remain active until the 5 "opaque" totems are active, purify the 5 totems so that the benefit loses power, for each opaque totem the hex benefits lose strength. Now the HEX is linked to 5 opaque totems (They won't turn on).
But where do they come from?
-
I don't dislike either, but I like it when regular things (gameplay, top perks, top killers, etc.) get shaken up.
That said, I prefer the lantern one to stay in the past...
-
Would be funny to have Fire Up gain 5 Tokens in one interaction.
-
I have no idea what you're suggesting here.
I mean, i see new kind of Totems, but how does this work? ๐ต

I'm not saying "does it" I'm asking "should it" because right now it doesn't.
I knew that when i wrote the comment.
-
Yes, but only if the challenge states to use Surge, otherwise it won't count.

it is an excuse because some killers dont even need add ons to have instadowns.
That's quite generalizing of you.
-
The Tank from L4D or a tank-type of character.
A lot slower than regular Killers (still faster than Survivors), but way stronger: Damaging Generators sets them back by ~5%, Pallets can be destroyed with M1s, stuns are less effective (don't know a good % for that though), etc. etc.
Probably a giant standard Terror Radius too, maybe it can't gain Undetectable.
Idk, just thinking of a devastating & obvious Killer.
-
the add ons for killers are insane compared to the survivors
You kinda answered yourself this before: It's 4v1.
If Survivors would have Add-ons in about the same league, it'd very quickly tip the scales.
But me saying it's 4v1 is an "excuse" to you, so take this comment as seriously as you want.

It's like i'm back in DbD's first year.

To me it does. It doesn't even feel like an event since nothing is special or new, and survivors just gen rush even harder then usual.
Yeah i know, just stating my opinion. ๐

I would agree but Howling Grounds was atleast an event and had a new objective this event feels like the first iteration of the seasonal events where we collected coins and other things by completing gens but those where 15x better and still had something to offer but this event just has nothing at all so I'd say this is the worst event we had by now
Howling Grounds prevented fun to be had for multiple days.
With this one, at least i can still have fun all days.

Huge risk with little to no reward.
The killer can see more than the survivor. They should have made it a killer perk.
For SWF, i'd agree, partially.
Otherwise no.

That bell always confused me but I'm more interested in his outfits and why he's so bestial. In his lore he's just some guy who got pissed he was murdering people unawares and now he is this enraged psychopath who's outfits revolve around being non-human? It has always struck me as odd so I am excited as well.
He's also a tree. ๐คฃ

which was the worst?
Howling Grounds.
-
Ahh.
Anyway yeah, they seem to not want people to blast forward.
-
"I can literally access..."
"Why is it locked?"
What?
-
Pretty good.
-
Guess it's a huge risk/huge reward now.
-
Hah, wish you had my Survivor lobbies and you had my Killer lobbies then.

I'd appreciate that Mori much more than the "slightly altered Trapper hack'n'slash" we currently have.
Anyway, thank you for your perspective on this. ๐๏ธ

It's always been that way in the KYFs lobbies, there never was an explanation for it... it's just always been that way and nobody has really asked that question directly to the devs... until now I suppose.
I think I know why, when you're a Survivor you're lined up with the other Survivors in the lobby to make a neat little line... perhaps its the perspective that's fooling us (highly doubt it since you're too close to the Survivors.)
That's just a thought though, like I said, only a dev can really answer this question for you with 100% certainty.
Sadly, I can't help you out with this question unfortunately... unless you'd like to accept that it's just a strange design choice with no explanation given.
Hah, i can accept that, and not to discredit you, but i will at least try to get a dev in. ๐
-
Bill, Quentin & Nightmare are now the only ones without any additional cosmetics besides a bloody reskin.
So i'd vote for those.
P.S. Cannibal has unlockables, so he, just like Shape, has at least something.

Sally was insane and in a car crash. Considering the bag on her head, I don't think her victims are the only ones who croaked. Blinking is also both supposedly not fully entering the Spirit World (subject to clarification of the phrase "As she doesn't entirely enter it...") and extremely painful.
Perhaps the Wailing Bell is an artefact that keeps Phillybuns safe from the harmful aspects of physically entering a plane of soulrending energy.
EDIT: I also think the differences between the Ethereal and Spirit worlds should probably be clarified. Bugs me in RPGs, bugs me in video games, but that's all something for another discussion.
This is why i'd like a Mori for him that involves forcing the Survivor into the Spirit World.
If it hurts for practically everyone but Philip, then surely (trying) to force the not-protected Survivors into it would surely lead to a kill after some screaming.
-
The Entity.
Or Wraith with the Weathered Scarecrow outfit.
-
This is a bad idea for reasons mentioned above.
-
It's possible, but they probably don't want to, since Undetectable does more than just reduce the Terror Radius.
Getting all benefits because you reached one of those is probably a no no.
-
Not the worst for me, i'd place it somewhere in the middle, maybe high-middle.
My personal favorite was the first anniversary.

@ElusivePukka said:
Personally, I'd like it to be addressed that he's the only character with access to the Spirit World who hasn't died. Perhaps the bell is related.
Nurse uses Spirit World, no?
She enters it for only a short while, but she does enter it.
-
You'll only help the cycle of camping then, but okay.

The Wraith writeup suggests that his design is based on one of the classic designs of the Grim Reaper: Tall, lanky, skeletal, carrying a tool of harvest and a bell. His original name was Banshee, which would also tie into the tolling of a bell if you go far back enough into RL lore.
Phil sees himself as a personification of death, and The Entity sees no reason to disagree.
A fun lil theory, but i'm excited to see what they come up with. ๐

@FireHazard said:
I think they're taking inspiration from KYFs, since KYFs did this before the patch rolled out. (Especially when nobody was in the lobby yet, and the silhouettes were there instead.)
It's unknown why this was chosen during this patch, only a dev could tell you that.
But what is this?
-
No thanks.
-
Got nothing to add, my choice says what i want to say.
-
Oh, okay. ๐

SOL?

So @Boss what was your step how you did it?
Played Wraith, both "Shadow Dance" Add-ons, the event Offering & Brutal Strength, Fire Up, Enduring & Spirit Fury.
Map was Fractured Cowshed.
When i ran into someone, i just chased them without wanting to down them, then they drop the Pallets on my head, so i destroy them.
Easily broke 5 Pallets, kicked some Generators too.

It's just a progression system that's going towards The Rift, they're not a currency because, like you said, they cannot be used to buy anything specifically or anything like that...
That's what a currency mainly is, it's a type of "bargaining chip" to purchase goods or in this case... skins from the store. The Rift Fragments do no such thing, they're just in a way "EXP" that goes towards The Rift to unlock the Tiers... that's all they're for. You can't hold on to them to buy anything, or even hold on to them for a while since they do expire once The Rift closes.
It's made to expire because new tomes will always be added, so it'll always continue the cycle.
short answer
You basically answered it yourself, they're not used to buy anything, they're just a part of The Rifts progression system and that's all... They're basically the equivalent to EXP for The Rift.
They called them currency once before, so i felt the need to ask. ๐
-
No thanks, i prefer to follow the rules.
-
Not complaining, experience's been great so far!
I've longed for new challenges for a while now, an easy task per day just wasn't enough.
Now i already notice myself playing longer without losing interest, though i'm done for today. ๐
-
I am glad to see that specific build no longer require a Perk.
"Required" Perks are bad anyway, like how Brutal Strength was just incredibly good back then and a viable choice on any Killer but the Nurse.
But beware, for he has a new weakness now: He's no longer immune to detection Perks.
-
I sometimes do random ######### as Killer, extra BP or not, event or not, and challenges or not.
-
If we were a joke to them, they wouldn't put their way of making money on us.
-
It feels a bit weird to start as Wraith now.
The first thing you'll notice once you gain control over him is a giant circle telling you "Undetectable".
There's 2 as well: The announcement that you got it, and another in the list of current Status Effects.
I'm like: https://i.imgur.com/gJdfIP3.gif

Just completed it.
-
I'm about to do Brutal Breaker.
I'll let you know how i do.
