I'm going to disappoint you if you really think this changes at red ranks. Boosted survivors are at any ranks. In fact, red ranks has somehow a lot of survivors who don't care about others.
It does change though. At red ranks I am up against a killer that is as good if not better than me, I rarely run a killer around the whole match at red ranks. At green ranks I end up running the killer around all match and then getting face camped and while I am spamming m1 so that my team mates know I am being face camped they just squat really ######### close to me not doing the last gen waiting for the killer to leave when he is never gunna leave.
-
It just happened again. I had played a match in between the two games (the first game I posted against the pig and this game where the trapper DC'd) against the plague and got gold, gold, gold, gold and pipped but I just depipped again because the trapper rage quit after 2 gens popped.

You better don't care about pips my friend, it's meaningless.
The only reason I "care" about ranks is because I rarely play SWF. If you are a rank 10 and have a rank 10 killer but your team mates are all fuckwits then what are you supposed to do. The amount of times I have been camped because I have looped a noob killer around all game but my team mates have hid in lockers instead of commiting to gens when I am looping is unreal.
-
Also I posted the same thing on the DBD reddit and someone commented they had the same thing happen to them at a similar rank.
-
It isn't a visual bug. I literally lost a pip because of it.

Offerings are consumed before the trial even loads.
I wish this didn't happen. The amount of times I have used BPS as a survivor and the killer has quit because I told people in the lobby that I was using it so they could use their offerings is insane. Instead it should just not tell survivors the offerings played and vice versa. DC's should have a cooldown in my opinion you DC you can't play for 30 minutes or something.

That's why ranks 10-15 aren't worth playing in. Far too many disconnections, and when you're rank 14-15 whats the downside of losing 2 pips? There isn't one.
So all the frequent disconnecters end up in those ranks and stay there, ruining it for everyone else.

It is bannable to leave the match.. They have to do it a certain percentage of their total games.
@twistedmonkey said:
It is bannable but it's done using a percentage of the matches played and dc'd in.
It's not that it's not reportable its just an automatic process so there is no need to report, reporting this just makes all the other reports take longer to get through.
Hopefully when dedi servers come along it can be changed to a new better system.
But the thing is these people do it on purpose and don't get punished. You have to DC like 50% of the time to actually get banned for it. They know how many times they have done it that day but they still ruin everyone elses fun. I wish if you had a recording of someone purposefully DCing you could report it and they would get punished for it. Or simply make it so if you DC you get a 30 minute cool down until you can play your next match. If you have to DC for a genuine reason the chances are you are not going to be playing for the next half hour anyway.

Why'd you bother covering up your name...but then not cover it again in the chat box?
I don't mind people seeing my name it was just automatic to go down the list covering them. My IGN is my Forum name so it doesn't matter either way.
-
People that lag switch only get caught if it is really obvious. If you only lag when you hit someone/carry someone to the hook and a survivor records it then it is you lag switching. If the survivor is recording the full game and lagging the whole time then it isn't a lag switch.

This is a nerf lol, we won't accept any nerfs to perks that already have enough counters. Enough already.
I don't think it is a nerf though it is an adjustment. Think about it, it is a nerf to killers that do not need it because chances are players wont cleanse billy or nurses totems. If a killer doesn't do well and the players just gen rush that is 6 instant downs easy. If they don't gen rush the killer gets at least 1 instant down. Plus you could make it so the killer gets to choose when to use it (have it on your E button or such.) If anything it is a slight buff to NOED because it means the killer is always going to get 1 instant down or more depending on how many totems are left. If the survivors got them all he gets 1 instant down if they survivors only got 2 then the killer gets 4 instant downs. It also means that NOED can't be destroyed as soon as it procs (SWF telling their other team mates when to starting cleansing the last totem for those tasty 1000 bloodpoints)
-
The problem I have with NOED is not rewarding bad killers, I don't care if I am in a rank 15 game against a trash killer that needs the NOED to get 1k. The problem I have is the rank 1 hill billy's that use it in case they get looped the entire match. If you don't gen rush at rank 1 against a hill billy or a nurse then you pretty much guarantee that killer a 4k because as soon as they have their snowball with BBQ and Nurses you are #########. The amount of people I see run BBQ, Nurses, Enduring and NOED on billy at rank 1 at the moment is appalling. In those games you don't have an extra 70 seconds (that is how long it takes to cleanse all 5 totems as a solo survivor) and if you aren't in a SWF you have to run around the entire map checking to see if totems have been cleansed and counting them just so NOED doesn't proc.
I would prefer it work on a token system:
- You start the trial with 6 tokens on your NOED
- For every totem cleansed you lose a token
- when the exit gates have been powered every time you hit a healthy survivor that survivor gets downed and it consumes a token.
- once the last token had been consumed the perk is no longer active
Obviously this isn't a fully fledged idea but I think it is a lot better than the current idea. It means it can be soft countered by cleansing 5 totems but doesn't become completely useless and would likely be used as a counter for adrenaline. It still rewards killers for poor game play but it will encourage people to cleanse totems more because as long as you cleanse one totem it does something rather than being useless unless all 5 are cleansed.
-
Okay I want to point out a few things because I have gotten quite a "entitled survivor main" backlash:
- I was solo surviving when I said "My team did gens as far away as possible" I meant I had no choice in the matter they did gens.
- As I stated he had overcharge and unnerving presence doing gens wasn't an option because he was hard camping them like this: Tap one -> next one -> tap one -> next one-> survivor fails skill check->hits survivor-> taps gen-> next one
- eventually my team mates gave up and stood still and points at hooks and such.
- I don't want him to be banned, it is a strategy that clearly works well for him and he enjoys (sounds boring to me as a killer main) but I don't want to be banned for not standing still and getting killed.
- we did touch the gens but after my team mates started quitting I refused to go down to the other side of the map because I knew where the hatch was. He said because I didn't give up and was the other side of the map he was going to report me for holding the game hostage. As I left the guy on the floor to bleed out instead of going to him so he could get his 4k. I left out of the hatch as soon as my last team mate died.
My main concern was me getting banned for not going to that side of the map to up my team mate I was sure he was camping because I knew where the hatch was. I said can I report him I meant can I report him to stop me getting banned.
-
I should add I don't want to report him and I get that it is a legit strat but can he get us banned for not attempting the gens? and eventually getting the hatch? I don't know what else to do in that situation other than die which isn't what you are supposed to do as a survivor.
-
Well the game lasted over 33 minutes and I got the hatch. My team mates and I dicked around most of the match because he wouldn't leave the gens and we didn't want to die. Like he would hit us we would run to the other side of the map and heal because he wouldn't commit to the chase. We did this over and over and he would never commit to the chase and only go back and forward between the 3 gens, eventually my team mates gave up and died and I got the hatch (which was the other side of the map) he had over charge and unnerving presence so it was really ######### hard to hit the skill check which then made it impossible to make any gen progress.
-
I always wait for the killer because I run WGLF and if I take a hit I get an extra 25% bloodpoints plus the killer gets some points. Half the time it isn't a taunt it is a "here have a free hit points" (I don't wait if no one else is there or if I have my 4 tokens already.)
-
^also before someone says run no mither, or unbreakable. If I run no mither the killer knows to hook me so I don't have a chance to use it. If I have unbreakable and the killer is camping my slugged body like many wraiths I see do then they just smack me as soon as I use it so it is a waste of perk.
-
I think the hatch mechanic needs to be changed. Maybe if the survivor completes 2 full gens they get a Black Key that can "open the black locks on the event that 3 sacrifices have been made"
Then it means that the survivors that have done their jobs get a free escape because clearly the rest of their team mates didn't do much if you have managed to do 2 full gens.
I don't dc if I am being slugged but I do wish there was a way you could suicide if you have been slugged for over 30 seconds. I am fed up of being slugged the first time I go down because I did my objective and stealthed just because there is 2 gens left to complete and a sweaty killer wants a 4k. I want to suicide and give the killer 500 points on top of the mori points (500 more than the base of being hooked and dying+mori points) just to be able to leave the guy that is stealthing around the map while a cloaked wraith is just camping my body baiting him out. Either that or you bleed out faster When the killer is near out of fear or something?
I don't slug as I play for fun not for competition. I hate being slugged as a solo survivor. I think the hatch needs to be changed but I also think slugging needs a change too -
Well you know that if you don't have an obsession perk and you have am obsession chances are they have DS. You can then assume that all survivors have DS and just make sure you don't let them wiggle over 25%. That is what I do anywayTsulan said:
Oh yes, as killer i would also like to get a notification of every survivor who has DS.malloymk said:I think you should get a hex notification if you cleanse a totem. It would be nice to know NOED is in the game.
That's my only major complaint.
I do think it's a crutch, but so are plenty of other killer and survivor perks and offerings.
So I can react accordingly. -

Buff pebble.I quite like your idea, but I think the cooldown is short. Dance With Me is 60/50/40, Dead Hard is essentially 60/50/40, and even Windows is 60/50/40. Diversion is basically 45 minimum.
They don't want you extending chases/loops etc. endlessly without skill.
I would be happy if pebble left scratch marks leading from to you the diversion site. I based my cool down off of the quick and quiet cool down.
It wouldn't extend chases or loops my hope for this perk is as soon as you lose LoS to use it then the killer follows the scratch marks unless he is using a different method (sound of breathing or injury) to track you. Then that can end the chase.
Edit: I wouldn't mind a longer cool down because I would use it to break chases and stealth again.

Use lightweight or dance with meNeither of those things help divert the killer from you. They just make your scratch marks disappear. So as soon as you use it once a good killer knows you have it.

I think Claudette is fine. They reworked the prestige clothing already. Adams black lab coat is worse than P3 claudette any day. If you can't find survivors use some perks to help you. People seems to complain about everything in this game. First you want pallets and loops nerfed so survivors turn to stealth builds then you moan because you can't find anyone. Well maybe if you didn't get their infinite nerfed they wouldn't be stealthing in the first place. I swear most killers now just want survivors to stand still on the spot as soon as the killer is near by so that they can hook them for free without actually playing. Try bitter murmur. Better yet actually check dark spots on the map if you know they are nearby. If you see a claudette on bbq and you go over there and there is a tree with a dark spot trying walking towards it and actually looking rather then skimming the area then complaining that claudette is invisible when the blood on her clothes will shine in your red stain.

I wish NOED had a change. I don't care about the exposed effect at all. I care about the fact that at rank 1 unless it is a really obvious killer (freddy, Trapper ect.) everyone gen rushes and doesn't do totems. I then go around and cleanse every totem counting them in stealth play and I get punished for countering a perk because I didn't gen rush or be seen. I can escape and barely pip because I wasn't chased and didn't do that many gens because gen rush is so meta. I wish that if you cleanse 1 dull totem you are free of NOED. Maybe have it something like:
*A Hex rooting its power on hope. You are animated by the power of your Hex Totem when the Survivors are on the verge of escaping.
Once the Exit Gates are powered, if there is a Dull Totem remaining on the Map, this Hex is applied to it.While this Hex is active, Survivors that have not cleansed 1/2/3 totems suffer from the Exposed Status Effect and your movement speed is increased by 2/3/4 %.
The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.*
This means that I only need to cleanse 3 totems for me to be safe where as people that just mindlessly gen rush will be punished for it unless all the totems are cleansed. It would also slow the game down a little because it gives more incentive to cleanse a few totems.

This just wouldn't happen if you melted your unnecessary addons to fuel the fire of the grind in your epic conquest to stockpile the same addons and use the same build and same addons every game you play. We'd see much less kit diversity if it were introduced. >.<
I sure as hell won't be using all the thickening reagents on killers or speed limiter on Billy though
I have ~30 speed limiters on my LF that I avidly try to avoid buying but I swear my bloodweb hates me. I would be happy for even just 25% bp back for them. Or maybe some shards? I just want them gone.

Then don't let them get gens done. You are not winning enough points in a chase for you to get iridescent in chaser. You could chase all game get no kills and get iridescent in chaser. If you put pressure on the survivors so they they can't do gens and still 4k you should get Iridescent in everything. They perfect game in the entities eyes are:
- No gens getting done
- At least 8 hooks
- At least 8 chases
- Kill everyone.
These are hard to do completely. The same with survivor it is very hard to win enough chases to get iridescent and also get at least 3 generators completely done.
It is not about having the perfect game that is why your don't have to get iridescent in everything to pip. You get no extra rewards for getting 4 iridescent compared to 2 iridescent and 2 gold
but i always end up with silver in chase not gold and i dont want be sound like an ass but am i really "puts on sunglasses" too good for this game
The answer is don't care about what the game says. I can do 2 gens and stealth all game escape as a survivor and not pip yet can die on my first hook and as long as I did half a gen and got chased for at least 3 minutes pip. Both sides the pipping is ridiculous. You have to play the game how the Devs want you to play it rather than take into account your play style. I stealth as a survivor and don't pip I had to change my play style to looping to pip. The same with Killer I used to play trapper and not care if I got looped because I would always kill at least 2 people. Now I play LF so that I can down people that are looping quicker to kill more people. This game is about adapting and half the time it is adapting to the devs ideals. As soon as you stop caring about the ranking system you will have more fun playing the game. Unless you stop caring right before that 4 man SWF with flashlights.

insert office screaming NO here
Queue times for killers are huge already. Now from experience although you are supposed to be 18 to play the game most people act like 12 year olds. Here is a list of 12 year old logic as to why an Avoid this player option wouldn't work:- He camped me
- He tunnelled me
- He managed to hit me through a window/pallet
- He managed to hit me at the shack window because I stood too close to it when I teabagged him
- He had NOED
- He had BBQ
- He had insert a perk that survivors call toxic here
- I had White ward and they had franklins
- He was a killer I don't like
- They looped me
- They were SWF
- They flash light saved
- They had a flash light and I didn't bring franklins.
- They managed to pallet stun me and I didn't get the hit
- I couldn't find them
- They juked me some how
- They used DS
- They had SC
- They had insert a perk that killers call toxic here
- They played a survivor I don't like (racism against Claudy)
ect. See why it is a bad reason
People will keep blocking people until they get an easy game then that killer or survivor will be like "I got absoloutly butchered" and will block you until there is no one left to play with.

@Blueberry The offerings aren't totally worthless since you still get bonus blood pints post game for using them. Now we are back to gen rush while the killer tries to carry people all the way across the map to get his vials.
Yeah the event slowing down the matches lasted for like..a day lol. Now I'm even tighter on time as no one needs the plants anymore and we're still trying to cross map carry.
I hate it. I need like 5 more vials on killer. I get 1 per match because I normally 4k but issue is at rank 3 (my current killer rank) I have 20+ minute queue times, none of the survivors want to farm because they have done their flowers and I am seeing an influx of boil over and DS to deny me my event hooks. Even to the point that if I carry them towards an event hook and they DS or struggle free they run back to where they were so that I have to hook them on a normal hook instead. I have stopped wiggling as a survivor because I know how frustrating it is to get the vials after the long queue times. I know that as a killer if they are carrying me to an event hook they are not doing it for the BP's they are doing it for the vials plus it wastes time carrying me across the map.

You will end up going up against a killer in the middle of your ranks. Tell your friends to suck it up and git gud. But if you are a rank 6 and going up against a rank 12 you should be able to juke and mindgame them to carry your friends who will basically be gen jockies. Just take hits for them and get the killer attention on you. If you can't do that you don't belong at rank 6. What ever you do don't teabag and if you do expect to be camped. Most killers hate SWF. I know I do. If someone runs me round the whole map and takes hits for their weaker team mates I will not hesitate to camp any one on the hook if exits are open.
-
Balanced landing. I use it when I want to use an exhaustion perk. You can get away from a killer by jumping off a hill in most maps or jerry rig it to get away from a killer shack loop after the window has been blocked. Another good reason is the staggered stun. It means you take a lot less stun when you are jumping off things which gives you that little boost against a killer.
-
That won't make a difference. You can still get bloodpoints when survivors do plants but only if survivors do them. If you save your last vial you can't harvest plants fully because eventually it will tip you over to 30 vials so you still have to rely on others doing the plants. Either way my bloodpoints shouldn't be reliant on what over survivors are doing.altruistic said:Stick to 29/30 on survivor if you want to milk the BP gains. It is really annoying. Either get piss for bloodpoints or wait 20 minutes for a killer game. I am running WGLF to make up for the ######### bloodpoints I am getting
-
There is already a secondary objective. Totems. Guess what unless they are lit no one does them. Even with a NOED threat. I swear at rank 1 it is gen rush even if it is a trapper with NOED. I do all 5 totems and 1 gen. I would not stop to do a secondary objective unless it gives me like 400x more bloodpoints because with high rank killers if you don't gen rush you die. Not only do you die but you die quickly normally you see two people with less than 5k bloodpoints and the other two with 20k because they escaped because of the gen rush. If we slow the gen rush I am more likely to get killed with like 5k bloodpoints unless that 5k is going to become the 20k I can get for gen rushing there is no we I am going to be doing a secondary objective that does nothing other than give me bp and give killers at high ranks longer to find me.

As an effect tying into the theme of the perk, I would say that's a pretty good match. It counters nurse's calling and BBQ pretty well.Though personally I would like to see both as just a bloodpoint boost, rather than both as a bloodpoint boost and a different perk. I don't really like the idea of having a perk with extra points built in- definitely not all points at the very least. People are bound to pick it just because more points = less grind, but then you end up with a super meta perk as a result. Most of the killers I go up against are running BBQ and Chili because of it. Would they be running it normally? Who's to say, but when you sweeten the deal like that, everyone's going to dip their fingers in there.
Totally okay with someone sacrificing a perk slot for more points alone. Opt to make the game harder for yourself for increased rewards. But tying extra points in there gets sorta' messy.
I agree with this. As I said I use both of the perks. I wouldn't use BBQ and Chilli without the BP gain because I main LF and it isn't as useful on him as it is on say a nurse of Billy. It is however a very meta perk and is often hard to find a killer not using it as high rank games. Although I very much doubt it would be nerfed because of the up roar caused by it. People won't use it and the main aspect of it was to stop camping. Having said that I see people camp with it all the time just for the tasty bloodpoints that come with it.

Everybody have their own way of playing, not everyone is going to give it to you easy. I personally don’t care if a killer camp or tunnel. I get irritated at times but at the end of the day it is just a game. That is why there are specific sperks to counter these actions. Overall I am having fun with this event. I like the design concept on the generators and hooks. But they are not playing. People that are only sabotaging hooks aren't doing their objectives because they aren't doing gens they are just sabotaging to stop the killer from getting a customisable that in no-way effects gameplay. The killers that are camping a generator for the entire game are also not playing the the game because they aren't doing their objective of killing people they are just stopping the survivors getting a generator that gives them a token towards their customisable. Like even if you walk up to these killers they wont chase you they just hit you or pull you of the gen if you try and do it. What ends up happening is all the gens end up getting done then the killer uses NOED to attempt to secure one kill by camping the one guy he downed with NOED. This means that nearly all the survivors then struggle to pip and chances are they are only going to get Gold in lightbringer (if you are lucky and people don't have toolboxes and beat you to repairing) Iridescent in Unbroken (unless you are the survivor that got camped then chances are you wont pip) bronze in Benevolent (due to the base points you get and the -10 points for the survivor being hooked that you can't unhook due to camping) and finally nothing in Evader because the killer literally won't chase you. Which means you get 8 points which is only just a pip. If you don't manage to get the gens or you do get hit then you basically don't pip. Which sucks.
-
I don't have a problem with Killers that try and kill the people on the gens. It is literally when you go to repair the gen and the killer just circles the area by that gen for the rest of the game even though other gens are being done. They just stay by it so survivors can't do it and then wait for NOED and down the one person and camp them until their death.
-
I have been using WGLF for point farming to max my p3 Claudette. It is ez to get 4 stacks. You go to the downed person take a hit go away heal up and unhook the poor bugger. Rinse and repeat and you get all 4. If you can't unhook then just take 4 hits. If you watch your team mates back at the exit gate (take a hit for them when they are hurt) you get a point to it too. It is not that hard. I do agree it should have another aspect to it though like BBQ either that or make it up to 200x BP extra
