It would be foolish if they did. What if at some point there comes another lawsuit? Then bhvr has to, most likely, remove the F13 DLC from the stores just like stranger things

There are no more lawsuits.

I think you might've made a mistake about Eruption?
Their kicks don't apply it to gens but I think them putting somebody into the dying state triggers it right? The perk description says when a survivor enters the dying state
Haha I just edited it in yeah you're right.
I also want to say some perks partially helps by using the guard but then it's like I can say for example Nurse's calling. Oh the guard help me with injuring the survivor and now I can get close and see if they're healing or not.
I'm overthinking it.
-
I would even say Bloodhound, Gearhead, Stridor and Thanatophobia but I leave these perks out because that's generally known that any survivor is injured will activate these perks too.

Love the ability that people have to turn any post into an "Us vs Them" post. Guy literally gave 0 zero indication that he liked versing Knight just because hes weak. Just that he liked versing him.
Doesnt even make sense either considering the majority of people dont like versing weak killers because most of them have boring playstyles and counterplay. Trapper, Sadako and Freddy are ones that come to mind
yeah its pretty cringe lol

You're not the only one. I like him a lot but the list of problems are pretty damn huge

I laugh about this all the time. Survivors love playing against a weak killer. I get so much hate for playing blight. I personally loveee playing against a good blight.
@Ayamir said:
The same boring killers you said ? the ones that actually requires some skills and are fun to play & master
The Knight is a complete failure an AI power is just stupid and doesn't fit in a multiplayer game like DBD
Everything about his power is so predictable and telegraphed BHVR thought it was a good idea to give survivors alot of information on this already mediocre killer
If you like playing against weak killers like the Knight of course you're gonna enjoy it beceause the game is so easy against low tier killers but the moment you go against a Blight or a Spirit you call them "boring".
Players like to play killers where they can express their own skill, Huntress and Blight are good examples they don't want some AI doing the work for them that's bad design you don't even feel rewarded for playing well
Killers aren't "boring" it's just a skill issue you can't play against good killers that have a chance of winning you got used to holding W and looping shack against garbage killers like Pig/Wraith
I want to know how do you have fun playing against this budget Artist it really boggles my mind
didn't want to sound mean no offense ok?
Lol. I'm saying that seeing the same killers again is boring to face. Knight is refreshing instead now I don't see the Knight anymore.

Bugs:
- Guards get stuck in or behind objects. My guards got stuck inside a generator, lockers, behind fences or stuck between trees. This is an absolute ball breaker because if it happens then it can ultimately ruin the match, and survivors can use this to their advantage. If they can remember the patterns, they could stop your guards and then you're just a regular M1 killer.
- Guards and collision. The collision from objects slow guards down as they bump into them, leading to longer chases.
- A bug where the knight can't use his power anymore.
- Power and pallet stun. If you use your power while simultaneously getting pallet stunned, you'll get Sonic the Hedgehog movement speed.
- Extremely loud noise. If you activate and cancel your power quickly then you will hear a very loud noise that you can't stop until the guards completely gone.
- Visual effects. You sometimes see those green tornadoes that's left behind and doesn't disappear. I don't know what causes this.
Power:
- It's too survivor-friendly. They receive a ton of information from his power for no good reason. Here is a few examples: The guards give you an indicator of their detection range. Knight's power shows you a flashy green orb and the path is visible. Survivors can see what cycle you are in so if you have Jailer they can see that on your glove. There are probably more that I forgot.
- It's add-on reliant. There are some addons that are necessary to make him at least somewhat good. Dried Horsemeat and Map of the Realm comes to mind as they increase the chase duration and the vision range of patrolling guards.
- No secondary power. The Knight should manually cycle guards but it didn't went live. They should rework this and give Treated Blade, Cold Steel Manacles and Battle Axe Head something new.
- Unnecessary cooldowns. I don't know why that there is a cooldown when the guard is at its end of his patrol. Totally unnecessary in my opinion.
- You can pallet stun the killer if he's in his green orb. I have no words for this one.
- You can't see survivors, scratch marks and pools of blood during your power.
- You can't call off your guards. You can't give your guards orders to stop patrolling, so you have to go over there and hit your mercenary.
- Guards. Either it's duration, speed or vision range, they all need some small buffs.
- Power speed and path length. Traveling and creating a path takes too long. I wish they could up the speed and lengthen the path.
- Counterintuitive camera movement. You can't move left or right. You have to explicitly aim at the direction that you want to move at but you can't move left, right or backwards.
- Standard. It shouldn't provide haste and endurance effects for the survivor.
- Guards get slowed down by pallets and windows. While a guard is chasing a survivor, if they're going through pallets or windows, the guard gets slowed down.
- You, as the knight, cannot bodyblock the survivor while it's being chased by a guard.
- Dead Hard completely counters his power to gain even more distance from the Knight.
- Survivors can protect their friends by taking the hit from the guard.
- Guards that transition from beginning to end to hunt a survivor is slow overall.
- The guard's spawn time and vision range expansion are slow.
- When you use your guard to a kick a generator, the generator doesn't lose 2.5% progression and only start the regression process.
- The Knight's power get blocked by the smallest obstacles, forcing you to move around before you can use your power.
- You can't use your guard to snuff out boon totems or close the hatch.
- Survivors being chased by a guard can remove the guard by unhooking a survivor, grabbing the standard or outrun it.
- Sometimes your power overlaps and instead prioritize kicking the gen or breaking pallet/wall instead of patrolling the area.

I guess they thought those perks would be OP if they didn't get those penalties? Otherwise, maybe it was just done out of random choice?
But this is exactly what I mean when I'm talking about killer perks/add-ons having penalties. These nonsense penalties are just a normal thing killers have to deal with in their perk/add-on selection. "You can't teleport with Hag, but her traps slow survivors down a little bit." and stuff like that.
Their reasoning for adding a penalty to calm spirit is "reduces the Action speeds of those interactions in exchange for the suppressed noises."
I never understood addons that remove the ability to use your teleport as the Hag or Bubba's addons that makes your chainsaw slower or Matchbox iridescent that removes a blink charge in exchange for a small bit of movement speed for the Nurse. There so many addons for killers that just doesn't make any sense to me.

Did you stole this idea from the doctor?
-
The problem isn't the player or the knight, it's BHVR trying to turn this game into a competitive scene even though it's impossible. SBMM and SWF are major problems that can't be balanced whatsoever. Asymmetrical games were never supposed to be about competition. It's a asymmetrical game after all. It's either one side is the strongest and the other side is the weakest.

No, and that’s the point. It’s not supposed to be able to be countered directly.
If there was a perk that countered it, it would be useless against some killers and god-tier against others. Imagine if Legion didn’t get KI. That’s a huge component of their power.
@Akumakaji said:
Its literally the killers instinct and you can't fool that. They are supposed to be good at what they are doing, no matter how sluggish their control may feel or how much more the survivors know about the killers power and their progress :)
thanks for the explanation. it makes sense though i'll try to distance myself from the legion. I know you can crouch pyramid heads torment trail and stationary viktor's killer instinct.
and oblivious also counters it but what legion runs that?

Alright this is my last edit to my post.
I have yet to test all the perks if it's working with his guards e.g. Hex: The Third Seal or Hysteria. I can't do it today but I'll do it tomorrow or something.

You can pick up he banner that the guards drop after a few seconds into the hunt to end the chase and you gain endurance and haste for five seconds. Other than that I think you covered almost everything. All things considered the knight isn't in too bad of a spot and with a few buffs he could be a really good killer.
Side note I 100% agree with you that his armor clanking louder as he gets closer is cool, Nemesis does the same thing with his footsteps and I also tense up because of it.
It's already in there unless you commented it before I edited it in. I totally agree with you. The Knight can be such a good killer if they fix most of the things listed here.
I also forgot to mention that his guards sound really spooky when they are patrolling especially that jailer.

@Witchubtet said:
I think he needs some sort of movement add-on. Like “If the survivors escape the Hunt he gains Haste for 15 seconds” since the jailer one does give him a 10% boost but also doesn’t feel like he is moving faster.
What if that's basekit instead of an addon?

Half the time im running survivors into the guard but most of the time it's like why did i bother because i end up having to chase them anyway
It's better to hit them anyway for that 600 deviousness points 😎
or leave the guard to chase him and you as the knight chase another survivor.

I agree. Survivors shouldn't be able to see the green orb or patrol range, and the guard needs to almost immediately get into chase, not wait a few seconds going to where they saw someone. The banner is also a really dumb thing to give the survivors.
The banner is okay if it didn't provide endurance and haste.

I'm just stating that your decision about how the game should be turned in terms of updates is not okay, my opinion. You can disagree, of course.
If they could afford a team for adding a chapter every 3 months and another team that can build DBD2 then it wouldn't be 'impossible' if that makes sense.

While I understand the underlying structure of what you're saying (and mostly agree) from what I'm understanding there is a massive time crunch from the departments you mentioned. Be it from going from said QA tester finding an issue to the actual employee responsible for doing the work to correct the bug. While it has been well documented in the past Dead by daylight was built on Kismet from the early days it really sounds like the foundational elements of that engine (UE3 I believe back then) is still unstable for making quick precise changes without affecting other elements of the game resulting in a crunch. Would it not make more sense as mentioned before, to have a health update versus cranking out killers and multiple perks (as you said before it's reaching a point, we are about to hit 250 perks) many people would rather a stable easier to modify game versus a content overload which eventually won't be held together with the rocky foundation.
I ask myself that same question. It's time to update their engine and release health updates.

They did state that all original cosmetics will start off as auric cell only and will all get shard Option a few weeks down the line. This apparently doesn’t include launch cosmetics/default recolors.
This is good to know. It's better for people to save their iridescent shards for the skin bundle if anyone is interested.

What's funny is how people expected him to play out vs how he actually does. "You just drop your power at a loop and it stops them from looping. Unfun." We both knew it was never gonna be that simple, and now we see it.
I never thought it would work like that. I had a firm belief that the knight's power is about zoning and taking control over the map, a strategist as you will. His guards, even his jailer, patrols for a very short time and now I have no choice but to use specific addons to make it work but that doesn't solve all the flaws he has right now.
-

What if they're just good reads?
I get the concern (and especially the paranoia) about subtle cheaters in the game, and I know that DH scripts exist and are used and should be removed like every other exploit, but why always assume the worst?
DH's change was made in a way that rewards reads, not reactions. Your opponent is hard commiting to when you're going to press the attack, and ignoring every flinch attempt and feint in the process. That type of mental fortitude is actually common in multiple other genres, including fps and fighting games.
I absolutely agree that there should be a better system of validation (especially knowing they use timestamps) and detection of scripts and the like, but for every 5 you think are cheating, it could only be 1 or 2. Especially since you stated it's apparently high MMR
I have played dozen of killer and survivor matches. I keep noticing that people, even if I do tricks that I learned throughout the games or from people who main killers (mostly from streams), I see the same survivors doing it not only once, twice, no, they do it multiple times whenever they got their Dead Hard up and running. It becomes crystal clear that they're using something to enable their Dead Hard just when I am about to hit them. I even did an experiment where I didn't attack for 20 seconds while a survivor was injured, and that survivor never activated Dead Hard even though I was breathing down their neck until I start to attack it and he magically activated his Dead Hard at the right time. Sorry, but I don't believe 1 bit that 1 guy can do this again and again every time his Dead Hard was up. That's frankly impossible unless you have your brain connected to the computer with instant reaction time.
Then I didn't even talk about the other subtle cheats using a slight movement speed boost, mostly it's 0.2m/s extra but I had a match where a Claudette was increasing her movement speed the closer I get. There was no chance for me to hit her despite my efforts.
It seems that PC hackers can't be stopped no matter what BHVR does. Online games on PC has and always will be a problem, no matter how good their anti-cheat is.
