Surrender should be in the game, or subsequent DCs are safe, like how Dota does it.
if I’m playing a 3v1 I shouldn’t have to suffer or be punished because someone else quit
-
I mean he can only be improved, he holds w and hope the survivor doesn’t drop a pallet early
he is worse than anyone else by far
-
I mained spirit, she needs to be brought down a notch
but all the vaunted killer mains will tell your how to counter her, then when called on it and their “counters” debunked, will just say you want all killers to be weak
-

First: There are way more Rank 1 Survivor then Rank 1 Killers (clearly cuz survivor are more skilled at the game).
Second: The Game is not balanced for 4 very bad survivor or 4 very good survivor
Its not like league when its a 5vs5.
Unless BHVR starts to balance the game by the rank of players (i.e slower/faster repair based on your rank and number on swf in your group) having a strict Matchmaking will only result in very onesided games of 15min rank 20 games and 4min rank 1 games.
BHVR released a chart showing survival rates and it was like less then 2 survivor on rank 20 and arround 3 survivor at rank 1..
changing the game based on someone’s rank is idiotic and would only encourage intentional deranks and smurfs
imagine if in CSGO you did less damage based on how high rank you were or if you were with friends
-
He is only threatening with EndFury
thats not a good thing, mind you
-
the only real takeaway is this game is in no way tournament ready.
Lacking any real support, there’s no proper spectate for killers, no map seeding, bugs like DS stun lasting 1 second, insane skill gaps within teams themselves, wack scoring etc
it’s cool they did it, but bhvr themselves need to add support for it to go anywhere
-
considering you can chain loops around the entire map, it’s probably 2nd or 3rd worse, tied with cowshed, behind midwich and haddon
but yea, it should be changed
-
its fine as is, but if it MUST be changed, then make it obsession only

true there are killer out there like this too but I seen more survivors even play as a survivor survivor are toxic.
when there are 4 survivors to every 1 killer in a match, it of course looks that way, its just how DBD people are

- So chases have to be fair, thus long because otherwise people claim it's unfair and uncounterable. But gens can't be too slow either? What's this magical balance you talk about? Survivors have NO other objective and if only they weren't able to finish a game in 3 and a half minutes then maybe we would all agree that killers can be a little bit more forgiving and dynamic. With Nurse, you forget you can both see each other, the Nurse's advantage is her insane speed and being able to traverse through ANY obstacle in her way. The Spirit does not get this privilege, and neither of the two can see each other while she's phasing. If she's standing still why would you walk back to her in the first place? It's a fully 3D game, there's at least 2 other different directions you could head to to throw her off.
- If she's not phasing, she's a 110% killer. If she's phasing, she can't see you. You get a very very obvious warning when she's phasing in the vicinity, is it so difficult to be stealthy if you don't feel confident enough to tank a Spirit? I hate slugging but if I see an obsession in the match, I adapt and act accordingly. Once again, for some reason you bring up guesswork which apparently you seem to hate, but also claim to be very good at? How can you tell if a Trapper is herding you to a trap? How do you plan your route if you haven't seen him set a trap all game? Every second a Spirit stands still is one more second you can gain distance or confuse her. With how many safe tiles there are in the game it's really not that hard to get somewhere where you'll be able to react if you hear her footsteps, ESPECIALLY considering all the other points I already mentioned. If she phases to you, cooldown on her ability for you to run away, if she's walking she's a 110%, if she stands still and you're uninjured stop running. If she sees you and you're injured why didn't you heal instead of doing whatever you were doing?
Im going to breakdown what you said into pieces:
"The Spirit does not get this privilege, and neither of the two can see each other while she's phasing. If she's standing still why would you walk back to her in the first place? It's a fully 3D game, there's at least 2 other different directions you could head to to throw her off."
She can hear you, thats all she needs, and with Stridor, you will always make sound. As to standing still, YOU DONT KNOW IF SHES PHASING, and you cant just move away if you are at a pallet, she will just phase when she see you walk off, how do you not understand this.
"If she's not phasing, she's a 110% killer. If she's phasing, she can't see you. You get a very very obvious warning when she's phasing in the vicinity, is it so difficult to be stealthy if you don't feel confident enough to tank a Spirit?"
She can hear while phasing, with even a basic pair of headphones, a mediocre spirit will hit you. As to stealth, it doesn't work in this game, all you achieve by hiding is wasting your team's time to get stuff done and are effectively a 3v1. Anyone who isnt being chased or doing gens is only helping the killer. Doing what you suggest is what baby megs do.
"Once again, for some reason you bring up guesswork which apparently you seem to hate, but also claim to be very good at? How can you tell if a Trapper is herding you to a trap? How do you plan your route if you haven't seen him set a trap all game? Every second a Spirit stands still is one more second you can gain distance or confuse her."
Stop. Bringing. Up. Trapper.
It does nothing for your case, but lets go over this again: If a trapper has a trap at Loop A and I am chased to it, decent trappers will try and lead you into his trap by forcing you around the end where its placed. You can look for it while looping (which isn't as hard as you claim) or note how he plays, does he respect pallets? does he bloodlust them needlessly? If so, you are probably at a trapped loop. Spirit can sit still and wait to see what you do. If you stay, she can phase around the loop and hit you. If you run off, she can phase to catch up, the ground she can cover vs. the ground you make by holding W only matters if there is another loop close-by, and at best, the process repeats. AKA: You guessed correctly.
"With how many safe tiles there are in the game it's really not that hard to get somewhere where you'll be able to react if you hear her footsteps, ESPECIALLY considering all the other points I already mentioned."
Tiles are not only map dependent, they are RNG dependent, and even a half decent Spirit can ignore it. The footsteps "tip" is not practical, if she is close enough where you can hear her footsteps (which you can't, they are bugged atm) she is going to hit you.
And the bit that made me decide to stop replying to you when I read it:
"If she sees you and you're injured why didn't you heal instead of doing whatever you were doing?"
If you are the type of player who heals the moment they can instead of doing a gen or anything else productive, then you must not understand this game.
im done replying to you lmao, btw i used to main Spirit for a long time before i realized how easy it was, so ik what im talking about, not just some "salty survivor main"
-
Haddonfield and Midwich are hot garbage
Ormond with changes could be okay
-
They cant really do much to make him any worse.
they can call him "underrated" as much as they like, hes still the worst killer in the game, literal Hold W killer and power that gets countered by dropping pallets

@ClickyClicky said:
- Spirit is ovrhyped. Don't get me wrong she's good, she's very good, but she's not this unstoppable beast people make her out to be. Same for Freddy and Pyramidhead.
- Nurse is still the only killer that comes close to looking OP. Now it takes a lot of practice to get that good and you need to make very few mistakes, but she still has by far the highest potential in the game and it's ridiculous that some people try to put Spirit over her in tier lists because they read others say it online.
- DS is also overrated. Killers can still hard tunnel/proxy camp through it, get one out of the game fast enough to try and win the game.
- $10,000 dollars on the line, competitive tournament and people are bringing NOED. Almost as if it's a really strong perk whereas some people try to downplay it and pretend it's bad.
- If killers hard tunnel then survivors need to rush gens to escape which means they don't have time to do 5 totems on top. Some people argue they have plenty of time.
I've been saying all this for a long time 🤔
you're forgetting the plethora of rules and questionable scoring system that led to alot of perks and killers being picked
when its better to let a teammate die on first hook than save them for score, theres a real issue.
-
It was added during a time when loops and god windows were very problematic.
Many of these issues no longer are present, but bloodlust remains. This is without getting into the fact you can hold W at a pallet and will eventually catch up due to the mechanic, not skill.
-
the HUD is cool but his scoring system is wack
A survivor team did all gens and could have literally all went AFK, died, and still would have won but ended up tieing because they saved a guy on hook instead of letting him die.
Bleeding out does not give points, hitting 2nd stage on hook doesnt count, its all wack.
-
its more fun than pop goes the braincells

I wouldn't be adversed to killer changes provided they don't break the killer, which I can't count on BH to do. I can't say I am that experienced enough with PH to voice an opinion as I purchased he and Cheryl cause I am a huge Silent Hill fan but I do know the person you're attempting to debate with is a bad faith actor. I'd just ignore him going forward. I don't mind opposition or disagreements, but this guy seems to only be interested in riling people up or trolling.
feel free to check my history, my views on Spirit have always remained the same, just like Deathslinger and PH. Killers who have free zoning or like Spirit who equate to a guessing game is not good game design and even if you "beat" a spirit, unless they are bad, you simply guessed correctly instead of outplaying them.

Not only did I tell you why, which I can gladly repeat because if you don't remember it's a 4v1 game. If every survivor has an equal chance to win a chase vs any killer then there might as well be 4 since there's absolutely no point to the game being asymmetrical at this point.
I started talking about Trapper to (hopefully) make you realise why your argument is incredibly hypocritical and deluded. You keep missing the point over and over again because you cannot "check grass, windows and pallets" while in a chase, otherwise you get caught. You guess if Spirit is phasing, and she guesses if you're moving or not, it really isn't that deep.
I don't need to entertain Scott or anyone else to give an argument. Does me saying she's in no way unfair make me the best survivor in the game? No right? Can we agree on that? Or do you wanna bring up some other excuse for why I'm "not addressing anything you've said?"
I don't need to try again next time cause you haven't contributed a single coherent argument to the whole discussion.
- Yes, its an asymmetrical game, yes it can still be balanced, these are not mutually exclusive. Take a killer like Nurse, she is the best killer in the game and can end chases extremely fast. The difference is, you can see and hear when she is about to blink and can try to avoid based on the knowledge of it coming. With Spirit, you GUESS if she is phasing or standing still. The only semi-consistent perk against her is Iron Will which is deleted by Stridor. Both Nurse and Spirit ignore survivor skill, but Nurse has feedback during the chase, Spirit does not.
- Trapper does not have any bearing. You use his traps as an example of not being able to check during a chase, but you can see if he places, you can generally tell if he is herding you into a trap, you can do plenty to avoid areas you know are unsafe. Where Trapper has to take time and setup traps (risk) Spirit is a weighted cointoss where she can stand still and phase depending on what you do.

You can't have a debate. Like I said, you ran out of buzzwords to use and you literally become "kekw omegalul Scott come pls help"
You can't see traps that have been set before, they can't be heard across the map, there are STILL spots where traps become invisible or are hidden under certain textures yet to you it's not a problem because Trapper's "guesses" are weak as #########.
Killers have to guess all the time in this game. Mindgames are literally educated guesses, survivors have a third person view which allows them to cancel many tiles which killers just have to eat up because there's no way around them. You don't know how to change your playstyle and you don't want to because you want to loop your way endlessly through hordes and hordes of useless M1 killers and it shows so bad. You hate PH, you hate Spirit, you hate any killer that you can't loop and loop for 25 minutes effortlessly.
You havent addressed anything about why Spirit having no counterplay is good for the game, you just started talking about Trapper for no discernible reason, even though they are completely different topics. Traps can be FOUND EASILY, you can check grass, you can check windows and pallets. You guess if spirit is phasing or not. They are 100% different.
also i tagged Scott since he posts offering to challenge people who feel Spirit has counterplay which you mentioned.
Try again next time :)

I literally gave you an example of another situation in the game with no feedback and no counterplay. You can use your buzz words all you want if they make you feel better, I gave you a parallel comparison to the "problematic" nature of the Spirit and you suddenly became Ben Shapiro. I don't need you to mention my example for me to put it on the table.
You get grass moving and footsteps when a Spirit is phasing, a hidden trap won't even do that for you.
You claim I have no argument and not a single time have you addressed why you think all killers should have counterplay, once again, considering this game is an ASYMMETRICAL pvp.
knowing how to argue topics = ben shapiro omegalul.
Having to guess against a spirit is not meaningful gameplay, you can see and hear when a trapper places traps, you can use your eyes to avoid traps, you toss a coin against a spirit assuming she isnt awful.
if you think spirit moving grass and her footsteps (which are bugged currently as well lmao) is how you can counter her, then i know of a certain person who will take you up on that challenge @ScottJund

So a Trapper putting a trap on the other side of a wall you can't see is OP too? You can't see it and unless you saw him put it there it's a 50/50 chance every time you move to a different tile. We gonna go around screaming trapper is unfair now? Should there be counterplay to that? What about every time you're about to step on a trap a loud bell rings so you can avoid it.
Please point to me where I mentioned anything even tangentially related to that, omega logical extremes being used in arguments are a sign you have no argument at all imo.
Spirit having a lack of feedback and counterplay is what I said, address that specifically or don't reply at all.

It's insane how people like you think every killer should have "consistent counterplay" when there's 4 survivors vs 1 killer on every single match.
Imagine thinking the team with more people not only have a right to, but SHOULD be able to 1v1 the killer over and over and over again.
Counterplay should NOT be easy against ANY killer for the simple fact that they're an entire team, while survivors tanking are A PART of the team. Seriously I get the feeling people like you can't wait to get an offline mode where you only go against bots who only follow around every loop and break pallets.
people went from saying spirit has consistent counterplay and to just "git gud" to now saying its okay she doesn't
at least they wised up a bit, baby steps
-
Hes the worst killer, bar none.
As Clown, you hold W. His Power? Makes the holding W gameplay slightly faster, but its negated by dropping pallets early.
Against Clown, you hold W and drop pallets early and just repeat until gens are done. Its incredibly boring both sides.
Side note; anyone else notice Clowns tend to tunnel off hook, camp immediately and generally BM etc more than anyone other killer?
-
if only they stopped with linked sets, thats the only big hangup i have
blight not being a killer with free zoning like some of the others is nice too, actual mindgames and outplay potential for both sides

Why does a killer need "consistent counterplay"? If its consistent then the survivors basically get to dictate how the encounter goes. That's what makes bad killers no? You've got to look at the whole picture.
Nope, for example; Huntress- you know exactly when she pulls a hatchet, you have ample opportunity to try and dodge it. Imagine if she could pull hatchets as fast as DS ADS Spam, though if she were made today, she probably would.
DS and PH being able to spam their power and get free zoning, or Spirit negating everything entirely is not good design, sorry but nothing will change my mind.

People keep misunderstanding this.
Legendary outfits change the character you're playing as, this means every legendary is a set.
Sets, however, can be an outfit for a character that are locked pieces.
Every legendary is a set, but not every set it legendary.
The reason for Kates outfit being a set is because it's an entire dress, if the dress were cut into two pieces, the torso and legs, there would be horrific clipping issues with her existing outfits, therefore the outfit is a set.
Counterpoint: Bunny Feng. It predates the Linked set trend, has some nasty clipping, and nobody complains.
This is a money move, nothing more.

Why because he challenges you?
PH, Deathslinger and Spirit among the most complained about due to their lack of counterplay in the chase, where instead of the survivor outplaying or reading the killer, like a huntress at a pallet, thye have to hope the killer is bad. DS and PH being able to spam their power for free zoning for instance just feels cheap. Spirit is Spirit.

PH added something that i've been saying they should add to the game since i started playing, having a built in Mori on death hook. People said it wouldn't work, people said you wouldn't be able to sabo and DS and blind after the gates are open for one last bully session of the killer....and yet it doesn't seem to be that big of a problem. Why cant the mori offering just be replaced with a machinic that lets all killers mori on death hook. ALSO PH added something else everyone loved, the cages. I dont know a single person who would rather spam a button over and over again than do skill checks, its beatiful. Pyramid head is beatiful and i thought a turning point for the game
So with everyone screaming "Nerf Moris and Keys" WHY is the most relevant change to the gameplay this chapter offerings that can deny the killer a map offering at any time (SWF of course have an escape to this) and offerings that SPAWNS THE HATCH IN A SPECIFIC LOCATION.
This is why im a survivor main now, and i play in a SWF most of them time making for easy games. We don't need buffs to help us win, we need ways to make the game more fun. Making the game even easier doesn't make it more fun, it makes it more cynical. Many of my most fun games have ended with me getting split in half by PHs knife, he is by far the most enjoyable killer to go against AND isn't weak he's one of my favorite killers to play too.
I love this game, I love the devs but god damn I don't understand some of the ######### they do lol. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNTIY AND NOT JUST THE HANDFUL OF SURVIVORS THAT ONLY CARE ABOUT WINNING BECAUSE I CAN WIN AT ROBLOX AGAINST TODDLERS OVER AND OVER AGAIN IT DOESN'T MAKE IT FUN

The maps are not too big and after you play this game for a while, you learn where to find the totems.
My concern is that by adding things like this to the game, it will babyfy the game - reducing the challenge.. (the challenge is what makes it fun!). If im spoon-fed how many totems there are, it would feel really easy.
Also, how often does one run a killer for 5 gens and then get downed by NOED @skarsguts? Its one of the not so common scenarios, right?
Greetz
this is info you have with SWF already, they really need to revamp the UI competely, add elements for doing gens, healing, totem counter etc to make Solo not a shitshow
