okay so i don't normally go out of my way to do this, but this was such an eyebrow raiser and i had to respond.
was it necessary to respond with such sarcasm? i understand if a user may have been pedantic, but this doesn't feel like a professional-level response from a staff member.

I don't see how that refutes my point at all. If things are said and then never addressed again, and when asked about it we're told there aren't "any specifics", then is it not literally that it won't happen until it does? This has been the model for years now. It's nothing new.
I'm not refuting, I just don't think it's a wholly accurate translation. I appreciate the opportunity to give clarity on my intention. ❤️

I can appreciate why it reads that way, but I also have a duty to manage expectations as things are worked on. I don't want to deliver hope and then take it back a month from now. Timelines can shift, and right now there isn't any specifics to share.

Well either the punishments are too lenient (so people arent afraid of even getting caught. Hackers saying they have hundreds of accounts or can buy another for cheap,) same note if someones just gonna get kicked off for 3 days they aint gonna learn much about their behavior. Same with dcs now people say "I have my free dc of the day to dodge this killer" or stuff like that. Theres always stuff that can be improved. I cant say I see it at the same level in other games as I do in dbd. (Marvel rivals for instance can have 12 people in game vs dbds 4) and i dont see it every game. Because its followed by a immedate mute or worse. (Im talking like sometimes as soon as 30 minutes after its reported) so while I dont agree with what they put in their reasoning. Its true in some regard the title alone i guess.
Yes, I was just here to clarify and certainly wasn't dismissing any concern about how players feel regarding action taken. <3 That's something I can take as feedback to the team!

So what of the screenshots I send from on platform. it's not normal for every match to have at least one person telling me to off myself ya know. The community isn't being policed very well.
Screenshots are not required for the team to take action when it's in game chat related:

They do it inside and out don't be ignorant you know that. if I gave NetEase a ticket with screenshots from in game and outside that a player was harassing me in and off platform they'd take a ban bhvr doesn't do enough.
In our Game Rules, we specifically state we do not handle off platform reports:
NOTE: We do not control anything that happens outside of Dead by Daylight.
This includes private Steam messages/groups/names, PS4/XBOX messages, Discord messages, Twitch/social media interactions, etc. Anything that occurs on these platforms must be reported to their respective authorities.
Please don't call people ignorant.

Before I go any deeper, I can understand the frustration with the system. It can feel petty or reactionary, for sure. There is a silent group of lurkers here, though, and it does gain us extra insight from their participation.

3rd party software is anything external to the DBD game such as Discord, ReShade, Firefox/Chrome stream sniping
Cheating is to have an unfair advantageJust wanted to step in and state that Discord (we have an official one), Reshade, etc are not considered Cheating and are not reportable.

You are in this thread questioning users why they are receiving these messages. I respect that this is your opinion related to anonymous mode, but it is not the fault of players being harassed and their point raised that they shouldn't have to take alternative methods to avoid that type of behavior is valid.

Again, where are these messages being sent? You can hide the end-game chat in the pre-match lobby by clicking on the "-" sign. If you're receiving messages on your steam profile, why is your profile allowing that? On top of that, you have the option to deny friend requests so people won't be messaging you.
I think it's important that we do not blame the victims of this negative behavior; it is punishable by our Game Rules if you are abusive through the chat, regardless if they have the chat minimized or not. No one is "asking" for harassment by having a public profile.

@Balrog - Is it possible for the team to increase BP gains for the event category in this iteration of the event?
Or would it be possible only for next year event?I also love balancing changes of the event - it's amazing that killer powers and perks work with the event generators.

Players are commenting carefully for a reason; sometimes being vague is needed! That said, any time a thread is skirting around an issue, typing "license name" and "controversy" into google can sometimes illuminate things you may not be aware of that aren't discussed in depth here on the Forums.
