Break the Wall. It takes 2 seconds, and afterwards the Building is quite weak, since they also removed the Pallets.
-
Chances are high that it is a Bug. I would not mind if it is intentional to be honest, his Terror Radius is pretty weird.

Did you play the event when we had to fill vials ? I wish it was like that lol
Yep, I played this event and it was one of the best Events so far IMO. I was pretty disappointed that last years event only involved Bonus-BPs via Offerings and the Serum in the Rift.
Because in my opinion, if the Offerings only provide Bonus-BPs, they should just do a Double-BP or 1,5x-BP Event so that players can use their own Offerings.
-
Depends. IF there is no Event Currency, it is not really an Event. Also, if the Offerings are only for Bonus-BPs and are not involved in earning Event Currency, I dont care that much.
-
Break the wall and you will be fine. Honestly, this is one of the worst changes, it takes the Killer like 2 seconds to break the Wall and afterwards, the Building has nothing. But before there is an Infite so that the Killer is forced to break the Wall.

@ChurchofPig said:
Stacks have only been given by protection hits and taking survivors off of hooks. There's a chance that maybe you've taken a protection hit then a survivor wiggles out of the killers grasp and you thought that the grasp rescue was what gave you the stack.
This is incorrect.
@Topic: Yeah, it was like that before. I have read on the Forums that it was bugged and got fixed at some point, but apparently it made it back into the game that you can gain Stacks for Flashlight- and Pallet-Saves. So they basically turned a Bug into a Feature.
-
What did they do to Shelter Woods? From what I have seen, it did not change, except for the removal of the BL-Spot on the Tree, which was clunky to use anyway. IMO they should have put some work into balancing Shelter Woods as well, but I guess we will have to wait months for that.
And regarding Coal Tower, I guess they thought that the Tower was too unsafe? And honestly, it was good before the Map Reworks already, always considered as one of the most balanced Maps.
But why do you think they nerfed those Maps?
-
Why should they unhook you? If the Killer is camping it will most likely be a trade at best. If someone is camping, the best thing is to do Gens. Yes, it sucks for the guy on the Hook.
Regarding Deranking - again, this sucks as well, but you did not do enough to ensure the Blackpip. Whether this is in your control or not does not matter at this point. And honestly, I dont know if it is really worth it to create a system which checks if the Survivor gets camped so that they dont derank.
-
That guy in the comments summed up my thoughts perfectly:
Three points:
1. I hate every breakable Wall in the game, I think it is a horrible addition to the game, even tho, the Badham Walls are decent.
2. Except for the Storehouse, I am fine with the MacMillan-Walls. I dont think that the Map needed any walls, but its not like they are a big deal. It might even be possible that BHVR thought that the Main Buildings were too weak after the Map Rework a few months ago, and a one-time break of a Wall is still way better than the old versions of those Maps. Like, they even changed the Coal Tower back then, which was already one of the most balanced Maps in the game before (or they simply wanted Breakable Walls on every Map).
3. Building breakable Walls is just boring. Yes, it has a strategic aspect in it, but that strategic aspect is gone after the best spots for breakable Walls are known. And then it is just another M1-procedure without any interaction with the Killer.

I've heard that said so many times and to tell you the truth in retrospect, the problems that people bring up about the first event (suicides to get into next match quicker and not doing gens) were completely overhyped and exaggerated. This is one of the few things in DBD History that I remain firm that the community gave bad and poor feedback on, as it resulted in one of the most underwhelming events the following year during arguably DBD's most important month of the year. The distinct lack of anything fun or unique from the following withering blight (the event being reduced to a "do reskinned generators" like the first few lunar new year or Summer BBQ events) was far more problematic than anything from its predecessor.
^ this.
From my experience, the matches were fine during the 2018-event. The only annoying thing was that Killer queues were really, really terrible until they made Serum available for both roles (at first it was 30 Serums per Role, they changed it to 60 overall), but thats it.
And the 2019-Event was quite disappointing, because the Offering only provided Bonus-BPs (and even 1k less per Gen/Hook than the year before). And if an event Offering just gives 3k BPs per Gen or Hook, they can better make a Double-BP Event.
But sadly, the opinion that the matches were bad at the 2018-event (which was not true from my experience), probably removed the option of having it again.

They should've made it so everytime you heal a survivor from the dying state to the injured state also grants you a token. It would only make sense considering they buffed the healing speed to dying survivors.
Exactly. Healing from Dying State and healing a full Health State should provide Stacks as well.
-
I can just guess, but it is probably around 30 minutes? Or 1 hour? First time are 5 minutes, second time 15 minutes.
-
My Graphics are fine, no problems here. Ryzen 5 2600X and GTX 1070TI.
Also, the Deathslinger I had a few minutes ago said that his game is running better since the Patch. But honestly, I think that DBDs performance is too weird to understand, at least for me.

i don't know what the impact is because i'm not bothering with the game atm, but I know 96m is not map wide, and that's all the matters
I mean, they went for the same value on all Tiers when it comes to information (the good value aka 8 seconds, which is something many people asked for), and there needed to be some difference, and they went for Range.
Someone wrote in another Thread (because, you know, it is important that every issue, as minor as it is, gets at least 12 threads /s) that they should have gone for 64/96/128 meters, and I agree.
But 96 meters is more than enough for almost all Maps and for those where it would not be enough, you would need to be on the complete opposite site.

the point is it shouldn't have been touched at all aside from the ONE point that people wanted changed, the notifications
how hard is that to realize? nothing else needed touching, so every other condition added is a nerf whether you want to acknowledge it or not.. doesn't matter how much or how little impact it will have.. it was unnecessary
add the fact Thana and Pop were also nerfed, it's pretty ######### irritating this was added last minute
So, you agree that the impact is very little, but still make a big drama because of that?
-
Kinda annoying that they made Balance-Changes to Badham when they added the new graphics, but one of the worst Maps (Shelter Woods) still has the same issues.
Like a Balanced Landing-Spot without climbing that tree would have been nice.

Discordance is stronger than Empathy? I would like to say they both were balanced as is.
Comparing range is absolutely a legitimate argument, however, you trying to compare strengths even in a metaphorically sarcastic way proves absolutely nothing except filling space in a box of text.
So hypothetically speaking, since you made the comment, “Also, a Standard Killer without increased mobility would not go to a Gen which is more than 96 meters away anyway.” In a situation with 3 gens left, which happens quite often, 2 gens in close proximity and 1 97 meters away, there’s no reason I should “go to” the gen, right?
I’m glad you found my reasonable aura-reading concern as “funny” though :)
Yeah, I find that guy funny who slugs 4 people at 5 Gens and complains about minor things like that :^)

If you let this happen, you already messed up.
I am not saying that Discordance was too strong or anything. There are better Tracking Perks anyway. But you all act like this Perk got destroyed, lol.

@Speshul_Kitten said:
Meanwhile Empathy keeps its full map range. Good to know where the devs prioritize their player base.
You are a funny guy. If we compare the Range of the two Perks, why not compare the strength as well? Discordance is way stronger than Empathy.
Also, a Standard Killer without increased mobility would not go to a Gen which is more than 96 meters away anyway. This would be over 20 seconds of walking.

This is what I immediately thought, but it's probably not going to happen. If it was achievable through currency tomorrow and a lot of people bought it with cash today, it would probably stir the pot.
I'm extremely disappointed because of the lack of skins achievable through event currency. If they do put out some skins tomorrow, they're likely to just be toned down versions of these.
To be fair, the Halloween Event is announced so if someone is buying them now, they should not really complain if they cannot wait for 1 day. Also, last year, the Skins were out before the event as well (even tho, this was unintentional).
In the end, depends if there will be an Event Currency. I hope so, because otherwise, there will be a shitstorm (which would be justified).

I embarrassingly realize after my post.. but I think it still applies. We're just getting some add-ons? And purchasable cosmetics out today?
Nothing announced yet (except for the Add Ons and Items). So there is still a chance for an Event Currency. If there is none, you can expect a shitstorm (which is well-deserved IMO), since giving most Skins for Shards as well does not compensate for the two Cosmetic Sets which were available via Playtime.
Of course if there is an Event Currency AND most Outfits are also obtainable via Shards, this would be great.
-
Well, it starts tomorrow. Which was announced.
-
It should be removed. There is no reason gameplay-wise why the Killer should be able to see profiles or Names.

So does nobody else see how this perk is going be abused in the endgame? If you thought catching Survivors during it was hard because of the others blocking you, now they'll also be moving faster. If they have Hope you're screwed. That Survivor is moving at 114%. It won't be a big deal before that though.
Even in Endgame, you would have this Perk equipped, Hope equipped, make it to Endgame, have the Obsession or the player(s) with Bloodpact still alive(and not the same person) AND they must heal to get the effect of Bloodpact in Endgame.
Thats pretty unlikely.

it depends on what you mean. do you consider me trolling because it's to crazy too be real, or consider me trolling for overreacting according to you? I want to give you a proper answer.
You are overreacting.
The "Discordance-Nerf" was something which was asked a long time, now Tier 3 is as good as Tier 1. Also, to give a difference between the Perk Tiers, they added a Range for each Tier. While it would be nice to have the Range increased (someone mentioned 64/96/128), Discordance on Tier 3 with 96 meters is really enough and nobody will see any difference.
PHs Slowdown is fine, the Power should be used to get hits with the Power, not to have free Zoning by faking the Power. They also buffed the Cooldown after using the Power.
MacMillan-Maps are not heavily Survivor-sided. While I dont agree with the Breakable Walls (Main Buildings were fine), BHVR either thought that the Main Buildings are too weak and added a Wall to each of them (which, to be fair, would be a 1-time break) or they just wanted it as a feature on every Map. Let alone that once you broke the Wall on Storehouse, there is nothing in the Storehouse itself, since they removed both Pallets AND one of the most killer-sided Maps (Shelter Woods) did not get any of its issues fixed.
I dont think that any of the Survivor Perks will get more use after the Buffs, and I also think that Killers have more variety of Perks. And the PGTW-Buff will not change anything.
Overall, I am pretty sure that you dont know what you complained about in 1 week.
-
Blocked Generators should not regress. If they are doing it, it is a Bug.

nerf discordance, the only alright legion perk, now there is a maximum distance, for the cost of the killer having no idea how long a survivor has touched the gen (at least you can upgrade it to tier 3 and get positive effects than negative.
They also added a slowdown on top of the attack restriction for PH (it's fine for doctor to move at full speed, but not PH?)
Everything else is the same, they turned all macmillian estate maps from slightly killer sided to heavily survivor sided. All survivor perks they touched on this update has been buffed. The only perks they buffed for killer is so little it's barely noticeable.
Just another blatantly survivor sided update like the ruin change months ago.
Can you please tell me that you are trolling?
-
I dont think so Tim. At least not with an announcement, so I would rather think it is a Bug.
Of course if it is the case that it is intentional, I never said anything and will claim the opposite.
-
Just to bump this up: Got this message on the Live Version. Updated my game, went into the store to check out the new Cosmetics and this popped up. Also 650 and 350, and I am 100% sure that I claimed everthing from the Rift.
Also opened a Support Ticket.

It's definetly a nerf in my opinion, you only want the notification anyway, so even 1 second would be enough as long as you get the sound, but they're tinkering with the range, making it a lot worse on tier 1 and 2 and sometimes misleading at tier 3.
A bigger issue thuogh is the fact that they're again touching things nobody asked them to instead of focusing on core game issues. (and boy does the game have some.) A this point it's pretty clear that the community has a better idea of what to do, so the devs still insisting on these dumb changes is pretty dissapointing (atleast to me as a veteran)
Many people asked for a Tier-Switch for Discordance so that Tier 1 becomes Tier 3 and vice-versa, because Tier 1 was better.
-
@Ihatelife said:

Okay, but not a 32 meters range. It's definitely not enough for the info type perk.
Yeah, maybe they can go for 64/96/128 as written by @ReverseVelocity . But I would not really call it a Nerf, since they buffed the information, but went too much with the Perk Tier-Difference.
-
Aura Reading is better. Tier 1 Discordance was better than Tier 3 Discordance because of that.
-
Would not call it nerfed. They buffed it so that every Tier has the 8 seconds of the former Tier 1-Discordance, but added the Range to have a difference between the Tiers. You may now want to use it only on Tier 3 (or Tier 2, at least), but other than that, not really a big deal tbh.
-
Fine with it. It was known from the beginning.
Also I dont think that the first Tome was bad, it was the most interesting one. The Challenges were at least somewhat challenging.
-
The thing is, what do you mean with "shadownerfed"?
The Storehouse was a stupid change IMO. The Pallets were perfectly playable by the Killer, but they removed them. Instead, Storehouse got a breakable Wall which was mandatory to break.
And the fixed Loops also did not need breakable Pallets, but if anything, the Loops got buffed and not nerfed, because the Killer needs to break a Wall (like the Wall above on Ironworks). Personally, I also dont think that those were needed, but maybe BHVR thought that the Main Buildings were too weak now, so they added a Breakable Wall so that the Killer has to break it one time allowing one Survivor to gain Distance. Or they simply wanted it as a feature on all Maps.
If you like, you can upvote my Q&A-Question, maybe they will answer it:
-
Event and Archives are tomorrow, Patch should be today.
-
As others have said, the Devs might now have the possibility to do Licensed Tomes. The post is a few months old. And if I look at the Stranger Things-Content, I can imagine that they are quite open for it, considering that the Demogorgon got Cosmetics which were not in the Show.
Also could imagine that Konami is interested in a Tome, even tho I would guess that BHVR would have less freedom compared to something like Stranger Things.
-
Exactly. It also is an Offering that only makes sense for Killers since they can prepare. If they see an SWF, they might want to burn one of those in case of a Haddonfield or Ormond-Offering, but for Survivors, it does not make sense.
Also, it is way too expensive and rare, it should be a brown Offering for 3k BPs, this way you would be able to burn it way more often. But like OP said, you can better bring a Map Offering, this would be a 50/50 chance to end on the Map you want, but it is better than for example cancelling an Ormond-Offering to get Haddonfield afterwards.
IMO this thing should be removed, but it is gonna stay, because the Devs wanted to bring new Offerings, even tho none of those actually makes sense.
-
I would rather get a 5 minute game if I am that worse than the Survivors than that. Had a similar game a few months ago, got a 2k out of it. Was playing as old Doctor on Temple of Purgation and they were constantly around me, trying to get into chases and being super-aggressive. Probably my most stressful game, even if I got loads of BPs and a 2K. Maybe I even got a Pip, I dont know anymore.
Its not like they were out to bully some Killers, they seemed to be nice people. And their explanation was that it is more fun to do Chases because otherwise the game would have been over in 5 minutes and this way I also got a lot of BPs and they also said I played well. While it is true that the game would have been over way faster, I would prefer that, I was 100% below their Skill Level (flaw of the Ranking System that Potato Killers like myself can get to Rank 1) so I would rather get destroyed than playing a game where winning does not matter to either side which takes ages, even if it awards a lot of BPs and Hooks.
So yeah, a game like in this video would be annoying for me, even if it would have been a win at the end. But does it really feel like a win when the other side basically does not want to play DBD?

I feel like if it is objectively true that say, Keys remain unchanged except for a 2 second channel, but Mori's get changed to something like, Ebony and Ivory Mori's are removed, I could see a reason for people being upset.
I don't think that will happen, but it isn't wrong of them to complain if one side of that equation is dealt with more harshly than the other, imo.
This is totally different from changing them in different Patches. This is making Key slightly weaker and making Moris way weaker/remove them, instead of "Do something to Moris in this Midchapter-Patch and Keys will be changed the next Midchapter-Patch". If it happens that Keys and Moris get changed in different Patches, it should be communicated, but like I said, I doubt it will help much, because this community likes to read what they want to read. And if only Keys are changed, they will flame that Moris are untouched and vice-versa.
@dugman said:
Yellow Mori is too weak, virtually any time you can kill the last survivor with it you could just hook them. It's useless. Green Mori is ok as is. Red Mori is overpowered.
My suggestion is still:
Yellow Mori - Lets you kill any survivor you've hooked twice (Better than the current version but still not as good as Green. Plus you can get multiple mori animations.)
Green Mori - Lets you kill one survivor you've hooked once. (No change)
Red Mori - Both of the above. Lets you kill one survivor you've hooked once and any survivor you've hooked twice. Not as powerful as the current version but still better than Green and still lets you get multiple mori animations.
The green and red Mori would still be too strong. It does not matter that you can kill another Survivor after they have been hooked twice, if you get one Survivor out of the game early, you won anyway. And given that the Ebony Mori is so common, this should not be the possibility. Normal games with decent Map Pressure are: One Survivor on the Hook, one Survivor in a chase, one Survivor going for the Unhook (at least), one Survivor working on Gens. This way the Killer has great Map Pressure.
But if you can remove one Survivor early with so little effort compared to a normal game, you have no Survivor left to do Gens, meaning, you would easily win this game, since the Survivors would be constantly in chases or Unhooks and there would be no time to do Gens.

I hope they do a shadow nerf to them, because if they don't, everyone will spam them until they run out on every character. The game will be unplayable for weeks.
This is another possibility. Nerfing Keys and Moris in a Hotfix without any PTB. Either of that (disabling or a Hotfix) needs to be done.
-
"Change" would mean that something is getting changed. But they are only turning a Bug into a Feature.
IMO full Health States and healing someone from the Dying State (which would also synergize with the new effect of WGLF) should also provide Stacks. Like, safe Unhook + full Heal is 2 Stacks in a few seconds, which you currently can only achieve by taking a Hit and farming someone with BT.
-
Some people are pretty sensitive. Dont think too much about it, the majority of Killers is not like that. But apparently he does not like Sabotage, so he decided to "punish" your team for it.
-
Only because you lose 25% of your games does not mean that you go against good Survivors in those. Let alone 4 man SWFs.

I would very much miss hag. When I'm sick and tired of survivor bs, I pick her. If I was deleting someone, it would absolutely be legion. I hate legion, both playing as and against.
I dont know, I dont have fun playing a Killer who is not able to chase and only relies on people stepping in Traps. She is really strong, but I hate playing as her and playing against her.

Well, those are the Builds I have on my fully-leveled Killers:
Trapper - Whispers, Enduring, Corrupt Intervention, STBFL (Add Ons - one Bag and Tar Bottles or Setting Speed)
Wraith - BBQ, Sloppy Butcher, Corrupt Intervention, Enduring (Add Ons - Windstorm/Swift Hunt)
Billy - BBQ, Whispers, Infectious Fright, Enduring (Add Ons - none)
Huntress - BBQ, Nurses Calling, Whispers, Corrupt Intervention (Add Ons - either none or Cooldown and Belt)
Hag - M&A, Nurses Calling, Sloppy Butcher, Corrupt Intervention (Add Ons - Setting Speed and Distance)
Myers - Enduring, M&A, Infectious Fright, Corrupt Intervention (Add Ons - mostly green Duration and green Stalking)
Doctor - Brutal Strength, BBQ, Corrupt Intervention, STBFL (Add Ons - Range + whatever)
Leatherface - Whispers, BBQ, Enduring, Corrupt Intervention (Add Ons - Yellow Chili and brown Charge back)
Pig - BBQ, Whispers, M&A, Enduring (Add Ons - none)
Clown - Brutal Strength, BBQ, STBFL, Corrupt Intervention (Add Ons - Flask of Bleach and Ether)
Spirit - BBQ, Nurses Calling, Corrupt Intervention, Sloppy Butcher (I am never sure about her Build, I dont want to use Stridor, but I also think that neither Sloppy nor Corrupt are needed, lol) (Add Ons - none)
Legion - BBQ, Thanatophobia, Enduring, Corrupt Intervention (Add Ons - Duration and either a Button or Power Gauge Refill)
Demo - STBFL, Corrupt Intervention, BBQ, Whispers (Add Ons - Rat Liver + whatever)
Blight - BBQ, Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer (yeah, really boring) (Add Ons - Speed or Turning)
Other Killers are P3-something, but I dont have many Perks on them. And looking at it, my Killer Builds are pretty repetitive, lol.
