My first answer would be Freddy, but since he is a big Horror Icon, I would rather have him in the game.
So I go for Hag. She will not be missed.
-
Huntress. Not that hard to pick up but really high skill ceiling. Aside from Fridge-Hitboxes, impressive what some Huntress-Players get done with their Shots.
(Aside from Nurse, but thats the obvious answer.)

Not sure if it's an unpopular opinion or what, but even if they are announced to be changed in the same patch they should honestly just disable them until the change goes through. Might be unfeasible as there's achievements and archive challenges that either require or heavily incentivize their use.
The complaints were bad enough when people panic/FOMO-burned their stash of stuff like instaheals, prayer beads and other things that got changed. I don't think any of that even gets close to a world where people try their best to use up their supply of keys and moris in the 2 weeks or so between final announcement of the change and implementation.
Of course they should disable Moris and Keys when they change them. Just make them useable on the PTB when they get changed but not on the Live Version, otherwise the games will be horrible.
Even tho, so far there was no Archive-Challenge which required a Mori, but there have been Archive-Challenges which required a Key. Not a big fan of either of those.

I mean, first, a Killer can avoid being flashlighted by looking away. And even IF a Survivor pulls of a Save with a Flashlight, the Killer will avoid it afterwards.
Blinding at Pallets is basically useless, I see so many Survivors doing it while not even running Iron Will. Which means, the Killer will keep track of them.
Also, Lightborn did not change at all when it comes to Blindness-Immunity. Before, you would have to look at the Flashlight for several seconds (I think it was 6 seconds in total?) to get blinded. It was already impossible to blind someone with Lightborn before they buffed it.

They definitely need to be changed in the same patch. If it's three months in between when Keys are changed and when Mori's are changed, then I can understand people being upset.
They will be upset either way, because there will be players who think that the Item/Offering of the other side got changed way less than their Offering/Item.
But the Devs said in a recent Q&A that it might be possible that changes dont come at the same time. If that is happening, I just hope they will announce it as well. But knowing these forums, this will not help a lot.

Freddy Rework.

Has been in the game for ages. But I dont mind, if they give me a reason to stay there, I will, two people not on Gens instead of one.
And whoever is doing that is basically killing their team. So if someone is so selfish to say "Hahaha, Killer cant pick me up!!" and decides to stay there for up to two minutes, they might not be suitable for Onlinegames.

Moris and keys are confirmed to be on the list for changes. We'll have to wait and see.
About for your points, ebonies are just the overkill version of a green mori. But green moris are the basic broken moris. 3v1 early = ggez.
^ this.
You cant keep Ivory Moris like this, the only "good" thing about them is that they are kinda rare compared to Ebony Moris, which are the most common Moris. Removing 25% of the enemy team early is basically a win.
Also, to add - Devs said that Key and Mori Changes might not come in the same Patch. So we will see the Forum burn if one of it is changed and the other thing later. :>

Not without serious compensation for the killer. Camping is required at times, and survivors shouldnt get that kind of power for free.
While I am not thinking that OPs idea is necessary, can we stop asking for compensation for the Killer all the time when someone proposes a change that might hurt Killers? Thats not how balancing works.
@Topic:
I dont think that this is needed. For Unhooks you can have Perks, which can help you in a camping situation, you can go for BT as Unhooker or DS/UB as the person on the Hook. This is not present with Cages, and while I still think that the Cage-Mechanic is stupid, they at least changed that aspect that a Pyramid Head needs a little bit of effort to camp (even tho, he can still camp, since you have to be really close to the Cage to make it move).
-
I did the Tutorials before. But they are not really helpful. When a friend of mine tried out DBD, I told him he should do the Tutorials for the BPs, but that he should not expect much from it.

Could work out, seems to be around all Ranks. And in low Rank, Killer is without a doubt the easier Role. You dont need to know anything, you are just faster than the Survivors and thats enough.

If my interpretation of the game rules is correct then this is wrong.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules
GRIEFING: INTENTIONAL GAMEPLAY ABUSE
[...]
Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience
I argue that stream sniping can be considered a form of targeting specific users and thus violates this rule.
The game rules list streamsniping as specifically not reportable but to me it seems that if you do it repeatedly to (a) specific player(s) it violates the negative targeting rule. It is not clear (to me at least) which rule takes precedence: targeting players being reportable, or streamsniping not being reportable even if done excessively.
If you Streamsnipe to get into their games, sure, this can be considered as targeting a specific user. This happened already to a Streamer and if I remember correctly, the people who streamsniped said Streamer over and over again to ruin their games were banned.
But I understand OP in that way that he sees that someone is loading into their game and after finding out that they are an SWF that he streamsnipes them during that game only. Which would be a dickmove, but not bannable.

Bruh it's really insane how tunnel visioned you are about your point of view, first of all I'm not saying what they SAY is unchangeable truth. It takes just a few minutes of watching them go against a decent team to realise there's way too many times where there is absolutely NOTHING you as killer can do to counter survivors. It's happened to Otz, Zubat, Umbra, if it weren't a common occurrence there wouldn't be so many people complaining about it and there wouldn't be literal hours of evidence of this issue. Before you assume I take their word as if it were the ######### bible think about why their experiences are valuable. They have thousands of hours and most of that is documented online, calm tf down. Plus I find it quite hypocritical how you think your "counter argument" that you constantly go against the same people and they're always solo means they're a bunch of biased liars who don't know what they're talking about.
Tournaments ARE a joke, that's the point. It is the most OBVIOUS proof that when playing with comms there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING a killer can do to tip the scales. So organisers have to come up with different rules to dictate who wins and who loses or they end up being a borefest because of how incredibly unengaging they are and how fast gens fly. Plus, again you fail to see the bigger picture what a surprise. Why do you think the game is not ready for tournaments? Maybe because it's unbalanced? Just a thought.
Are you saying games shouldn't be balanced around players with the most skill? Should R6 remove core mechanics so that coppers and silvers have an easier time playing comp? Should we make bullet hitboxes larger too? What about Rocket League? Should they remove techs and movement possibilities so that everyone else has an easier time? If a killer has more skill and experience than survivors, then they should absolutely destroy them, as well as the other way around. If both teams were on equal ground and had the same possibilities to win then being together or on comms wouldn't even be a question, but the fact is that when survivors can callout the exact location of the killer, their perks, traps, etc there is NO way the killer can counter the advantages survivors get (for free I might add).
Like I said, most games with a sensible balance team have incredibly high skill ceiling and are doing perfectly fine. The only reason this game is not dead is because it has no competition. All other asymmetrical horror games have vastly different core mechanics that simply don't work as well as Dead by Daylight; just because I -sadly- enjoy the game doesn't mean I think it's perfect and has no flaws.
Oh, I was not talking about people like Otz, Umbra or Zubat. They are also not the ones who complain, if I remember correctly. In fact, Umbra said in a quite recent stream that balancing around Top Players would not make sense in DBD. And overall I think that Viewers are more butthurt about the Streamers losing a game than the Streamers itself. ScottJund made a video about that and he mentioned that his Chat was trying to find excuses for him losing, while he was just making mistakes. And this is often happening with Fanbases of Streamers.
So yeah, I was only talking about one Streamer here, because their videos are posted quite often on this Forum. And I go against the same players as said Streamer and while they are good, it would be highly unlikely that they are always Solo Players in my games and always SWFs in their games.
Tournaments are a Joke, because the game has too much RNG. Thats the starting point. You cannot really do a tournament if the same Map can have 8 Pallets in one game and 16 Pallets in another game. Like, yesterday I had a game against a Huntress (she was a really good player) on Wreckers Yard and there was no Jungle Gym on the entire Map and HUGE Deadzones (there might have been 1 Jungle Gym, but I cannot confirm that, but I know for sure that there was no Jungle Gym in around 90% of the Map since I saw that much from it). Now, a different Huntress can have the same Map without Deadzones and more Jungle Gyms. Its not like Wreckers Yard would be hard to play, it is one of the more balanced Maps in this game, but the second Huntress would have had a much harder time than the first Huntress. But you cannot say that one of them is better. This is the first issue and this alone would make tournaments stupid (unless we get Map Seeds at some point).
Regarding comparison with other games: Not really worth to go into that. Are those games asymmetrical? If not, you cannot really compare them to DBD. Because you dont have Killer vs Killer or Survivor vs Survivor, you have 4 Survivors vs 1 Killer. And making Killers so strong that they can compete with the best Survivors out there, would screw everyone over who is not as good. Why would you even play the game when you have no chance at all?
And this is the difference between what SWF is and what people claim SWF is - SWF is not unbeatable at all, in fact, most SWFs are not good at the game. And Killers would also dodge those groups. Like, I have beaten 4 man SWFs (small Streamers, so I was sure they were in an SWF), but got completely destroyed by Solos. I also went against some players who participated in Hexys Tournament, and the result was as expected. But those are exceptions, most of the time I lose, it is because I mess up. If 3 Gens get done in my first Chase, it is not because some guy told his friends that they should do Gens, it is because I go on a Chase for that long (and maybe bad spawn points if they spawn on 3 different Gens at the start). Sure I can say "Bruh, SWF, give them huge penalties on action speed!!", but nah.
Overall, I think I will ignore this Thread from now on. This discussion is pointless. SWF will stay in the game and there will be no indicator before the game. Killers should learn to blame their mistakes on their own and not on SWF. And I am for a SWF-Indicator postgame, because that might open the eyes of some people and I am also curious what the next excuse from players who complain about SWF would be, when they find out they lost against 4 Solos.

Solo survivors cannot coordinate who's going for an unhook. They cannot take the killer far away from people on gens. They cannot know when to heal and when to rush. UNLESS they are in SWF or waste a perk slot to do so. Stop pretending like it's not a problem just because you can't imagine games actually requiring skill and strategy from survivors.
No one wants to get rid of SWF. Just because I enjoy playing with my friends that doesn't make me blind to the fact that it's incredibly unfair. The devs can't keep ignoring that fact, cause it's been proven it's physically impossible to stop an optimal SWF and we've seen that a number of times in tournaments, experiments, streamer videos, etc etc etc. Either core mechanics get changed to be more fair towards killers and solos or killers get buffed until they're able to compete with the power coordinated teams have.
Ah, "Streamer Videos". Only because said Streamer said that he has gone against an Top 1% SWF, does not mean that this is true. E.g. one of the Streamers claiming this on a regular basis gets the same Survivors as I, since we play on the same Servers. And either they are always Solo in my games and always in an SWF in their games, or the Streamer is incorrect.
Tournaments... Tournaments are a Joke. Sorry, to say that, but only if someone wants to do a tournament every few months, does not mean that they are valid at any point. You can watch a tournament and then come to the conclusion that this game is not ready for tournaments, but thats it.
Of course you can balance around Top 1% SWFs, if you like. Go ahead, do so. But I hope that the game will also be balanced on 1% Killers, so that 99% of the Playerbase will not have any fun anymore. This sounds great. While it is true that an optimal SWF (like, really, really Top Tier Players) are most likely unstoppable as long as you are not a REALLY strong Nurse- or Spirit-Player, these groups exist on a much smaller basis than players would think.
And pretty sure the Devs know about this, but again, it does make 0 sense to balance the game around those groups. If Killers would be so strong that they would easily be able to stomp those strong Survivor Groups (or even if they would be on par with them), you would screw up so many players. And the game will simply be dead. And this is something the Devs will know, because they have more knowledge of designing this game than those "Wannabe-Developers" here on the Forums who propose Ideas like balancing around the Top 1%.

Pretty insane how you miss the point so blatantly. 6+ perks for free definitely does not give you an advantage, that makes a lot of sense. Coordinating who's on gens and who isn't even if chases last 10 seconds is definitely not incredibly detrimental to the killer. Being able to optimise every single aspect of the survivor team's side even though killer is balanced around the fantasy that survivors have no communication between them.
Definitely not a problem.
Ah yes, I totally forget that I have to play Gens when I play Solo. Do you think Solo Survivors are so dumb that they need another person telling them to do Gens?
But yeah, keep blaming SWFs instead of improving on your game.

i play on a SWF 4 man and we are not that good still we 4 man escape 9 out of 10 times, and the other we smash those 5 gens anyway and 1 or 2 always manage to escape agiasnt spirits, onis and else... 4 man does break the game to the core especially if they are good.
This would mean that the Killers you go against are good. But Killers are also victims of the easy Ranking-System and almost non-existing Rank Reset, there are a lot of mediocre (at best) Killers in Red Ranks. I am one of them.

I think exhaustion addons are ok in some contexts. For example pigs is fine and demos is fine because conditions have to be met by the killer in order for them to work and you can avoid it as survivor. Huntress and clowns however does not work, as they literally just need to hit you and gas you and there goes one of your perks.
it also dumbs down killers and makes them play as if exhaustion perks never existed.
The thing with Pigs Exhaustion-Add On is that it just teaches a bad way of playing Pig - tunneling the guy with the Trap. This person cannot do Gens anyway, so there is not really a reason to follow them once they are unhooked, because they cannot progress the game. But the Exhaustion Add On (and other Add Ons like Mangled) basically invite to tunnel the person with the Trap.

Yeah the reason behind that is the community you wanted bug fixes instead of new content so they nixed special events like previous years to bp to focus on bug fixes. That's why I hate the gaming community they're a bunch of whiny crybabies who want everything their welcome to the real world you can't have everything you want and complaining gets you nowhere maybe if the dbd community came up with real solutions and not impossible ones and didn't complain about everything they could actually get fun events
I think I am one of the last persons who throws ######### at the Devs, but while you are correct that some events did not take place because the Devs want to iron out the game, you dont notice that much from it. Dedicated Servers are still far from perfect, and while they improved, I am pretty sure that quite a bunch of people want to have P2P back. Not the majority, but a lot.
Also, there are still Bugs in the game which are here for months. Or there are Bugs on PTBs which get reported on Day 1 and still make it into the Live Version 3 weeks afterwards, which raises the question why they dont just bring the PTB on Tuesday and the Patch on Friday, if they dont change that.
So cutting down on Events while focussing on Bugfixes and improvements is something many people would like, but if you cut down events because of that reason, you have to show afterwards what is being done.
And if this event is just some Bonus BPs (which can be done via a double BP-Event instead of an Event Offering which offers a small amount of Extra-BPs) and different Hooks and Gens with no way to earn Event Currency, it is not really an event, its just an ingame advertisement for the new Skins.
(Ofcourse IF this is gonna happen. If there will be event currency, either via playing (what I would prefer) or via the Rift, I stand corrected)

How is it a bad idea? People complain about swf-bring solo up to swf with comms- buff all killers accordingly. Where is the issue. And if its about toxicity this game isn't even close to the old CoD games, which had in game voice chat. Friday, has in game voice chat. PHG, has in game voice chat. All of the games i mentioned besides CoD are asymmetrical and have in game voice chat. Yet for some reason with this game it's an issue.
Ok, in short:
Language Barriers-->In Europe we have a shitload of different languages. And not everyone speaks English well, I know this from experience, some nations even outright avoid speaking English, despite being capable of doing so.
Toxicity-->You name it. Nobody needs to get yelled at by 14yr olds who use their 5 Euro-microphone while playing their annoying music in the background.
3rd party comms-->Discord and stuff exist. Why should people use the ingame Voice-Chat then? Like, I am from Germany, when I play solo with a SWF from Russia, why should they use the ingame voice chats, when all 3 are on discord already? So the game would be balanced around SWFs, and I would have the disadvantage. Let alone that even if they are using the ingame Voice Comms, that there would be no guarantee that they would speak in a language I would be able to understand.
Solo Experience-->There are players who want to play the game alone, who want an immersive experience in DBD without having the need to talk to anybody. You also need to have those players in mind. Yes, they would probably be able to disable it, but then again, why should they be at disadvantage if the game is balanced around Comms?
In fact, SWF in the game helps Survivors and Killers. Survivors can play together and Killers have their excuse. Win-Win, I guess.
Killers should just learn that they did not lose because the others were in an SWF (and they were not cheating as well), they lost because they were not good enough. So I am always for an SWF-Indicator postgame, this would probably open the eyes of some players, when they see that they can also lose heavily against Solos or crush SWFs without even noticing.

Why not just add in game voice chat if its intended?
I am pretty sure you can find tons of Threads in this forum why this is a bad idea.
-
He should be invisible from a larger distance. So that you dont see the Wraith full map away when you play against him on Bloodlodge. In general he should be more quiet as well, because his Footsteps and Breathing are very loud while cloaked.
-
This is a point I dont understand:
" If a game wore on too long, their add-ons would essentially disintegrate making them base abilities."
I mean, in general, I dont like the idea and the examples provided are not good (1 time use for Self Care, multiple uses for Sloppy Butcher, as an example).
But why should something get worse when the game takes long? From my experience, long games are more fun than short games (of course only if they dont get too long by endless slugging for the 4K or by hiding and not progressing the game). Because a long game means that the Killer is going for multiple Hooks, the Survivors are decent at Chases and the Killer is also able to apply pressure so that Gens dont pop too fast.
Which sounds like a good game for me with a lot of BPs for both sides in the end. And having Perks or Add Ons become worse overtime (or simply disabled), would just make it worse than it should be when a game goes on for a longer time.
-
Stream-Sniping is not bannable, so go ahead if you like. Its kinda scummy tho. But someone who advertises their Stream with a TTV-Nickname basically asks for it.

I can download cheats for dbd and use them only to mess around, but not gain direct advantage, yet I would remain a cheater.
Why should anyone go on a serious discussion with you when you consider SWF as Cheating? Despite the Devs saying that it is not cheating, offering the option to use Comms on their Discord and just the logic that a game which is created in 2016 will have played with Voice Comms?
-
@Justalittlepeeck said:

It seems that voice comms give zero advantage
Yeah, but Killers always blame their losses on SWF or Comms. SWF-Indikator Postgame would be fine, but I fear that many Killers will lose their excuse why they lost :/
And the Communication I have with my SWF-Friend usually goes around random stuff. And gameplay-related stuff is like "Are you on a Gen?" "Yeah" "Where?" "In a corner".
Or "Two people run around, 1 is doing a Gen, who are you?"
Or "There is a Claudette crouching near the Wall".. "Yeah, thats me"..."Really?!"..."No, why would I do that?"
And I guess like 95% of SWFs are like that. And Killers would simply dodge because they want an easier game, because Killers seem to expect that the game should be as easy for them as it would be for Survivors.
-
Why cant Killers accept that SWF does not mean that they become godlike players by just clicking a Button to invite other players to their lobby?
-
It is exposure. My prime example for this is Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which is an amazing and scary Horrorgame. But once you have played it enough (the Main Story or Custom Stories), you only really try to glitch out the monsters.
Once you play DBD for a long time, it is not scary anymore. Part of it is also because you play against another human. Ingame, it might be a Killer, but outside of the game, there is just another person sitting on their PC or Console.
And honestly, I think that all "Make DBD scarier again"-Threads are just "Nerf Survivor"-Threads.
But one step in the right direction would be to make the Maps darker again, DBD feels like it is played in Daylight sometimes. But suddenly Killers dont want the game to be scarier anymore...
-
Eh. Complaining about Meta-Perks on Survivors while using the most Meta Perks on one of the strongest Killers. And having the Game so bright that you can see across the whole map? Which would tell me that you sweat in your games in general, if you need to adjust DBD with Filters.
-
Outdated and should be removed. It does not even matter if it is the Common or the Rare Add On, they both do the same, since it makes no difference if it is 30 seconds or 90 seconds, sicne it does not recover while running anyway.
I mean, just imagine new Instructions (no Skill Checks) would have been around with old Ruin and old Toolboxes. Sounds too strong that 3k BPs can negate a Perk? Yes? Thats what Exhaustion Add Ons do.
-

Well they said there will be login rewards and also other skins put out via social media which I guess will be a hidden code. Hopefully they won't be on a first come basis like the last ones and everyone can get it once found.
I do dislike making the events part of the rift itself as it feels more grindy and these challenges well we will have to see what they entail but I am skeptical as it feels like more rift promotion than an event.
Instead of these special offerings for gens I would quite frankly prefer a dbp event so people can play other offerings instead since they are solely about bloodpoints the reward isn't that great since they normally cost 3k to buy you can earn max 17k extra if all 5 gens or hooks are done and everyone of course plays the offering.
Events are a bit underwhelming after the inclusion of the rift. I used to take the time to play as much as possible and really enjoyed them but now well I just play as I do now and don't put in the same effort as they feel less rewarding and more grindy.
Completely agree. If the Offerings only give BPs, they should just do a Double BP-Event. My SWF-Mate and myself will burn every Cake or BPS we have left, so we will get a lot more BPs with that.
And btw., last year, the Event-Offerings only gave 3k Bonus-BPs for a Hook or Gen.

I mean what else do you want to do unless you want them to go back to people doing the most scummy stuff possible to get serum and then suiciding on hook once they got what they need
I did not notice that in my games. But if they are too concerned for Plants, they should let Serum be available via Gens and Hooks. Then both sides only have to play the game and still get Serum.
-
BNPs are not OP. They just became the best Toolbox-Add Ons since they Toolboxes became useless overall, so they stand out a little bit.
-
Lightburn (for Wraith and Nurse) should be removed, it is an outdated mechanic and only really affects Wraith since most people dont try to burn a Nurse (it is also not really worth it).
Hags Traps should be removeable via Flashlights, it takes quite a lot of the Flashlight to do so (if I remember correctly) and the Hag can always bring Franklins. Or, they can remove it, but then make it possible to save players against a Hag (e.g. in Basement). Yes, the Basement should be a place where it is more difficult to save, but against a Hag, you are practically dead if you get hooked in the Basement, since she either teleports or has enough time to get back (which goes for every Hook and is horrible game design, but it is most noticeable in the Basement).
So given a better Chance to unhook (e.g. Otz mentioned an idea that Traps in a radius around the Hook should be disabled once the Survivor is saved, this would mean that the Unhooker still needs to crouch, but they wont need to crouch back, meaning that they can get away) and removing the ability to burn Traps would be fine for me as well.
But currently it is quite bad that a Hag suffers from Flashlights, but is so oppressive in regards to Hook Defense without a Flashlight.

"I believe it is intended, because of aim dressing." I mean, I only noticed it recently, so it might be a new thing. But I can imagine anything between they messing something up or giving it as compensation for the poor Aim Dressing (even tho, it would be a bad band-aid fix for this).

Jokes aside, I just think it is a nice feeling to play in a way that the other side (Killer or Survivor) does not think "What a dick" after the game.

Why do you care about the first Gen? The only Gen that really matters is the last Gen. Especially since you dont get punished that much anymore for the first Gens being done fast.

Nah, Last Standing is a Perk which is in the game. But it can only be obtained via Hacking. So I would guess that the ingame-Report should help with that, since they should see which Perks the player was using, and using Last Standing should give a permanent Ban.

You know like everyone else that old Maps did not get reworked when it comes to Totem Spawns yet. Once they got their graphical Update, Totem Spots are better.
Your Build tho...

Nah, never again. Players will just claim that the Devs are lying or hiding Data or will interpret those stats on every game they play. Like, the Killrate was first called invalid because Ranks were not displayed, then it was divided by Ranks, and it was still not accepted that every Killer had above 60% Killrate, except for Nurse. But this was always brought up "But Nurse has only 43% Killrate"... Yeah, because Potatoes like myself are playing here.
Meanwhile that every Killer has 60% Killrate does not mean that they are all in need of a Nerf or that they are not too weak.
Or, the simple "2 Escapes, 2 Kills" is also often used for each game in argumentations, which is nonsense.
So yeah, either people will claim that the stats are not relevant or fake, or they will interpret too much into them. I hope the Devs will never release Stats again.

Taking your example of Midwich. Who do you feel is at a disadvantage on that map?
Nobody, it sucks for both sides. Its good-looking and its amazing that they copied the Silent Hill-version like that, but some Balance Tweaks need to happen.
(e.g. more access to the middle area by Holes in the walls which are cut off from the middle, the unsafe Pallets a little bit more safe, the safe Pallets less safe, at least one more area to get up (like open up the breakable Walls in the Bathrooms or add the breakable Walls at a different, fifth spot), more Holes to get down...
And then this Map would be better already.

I think the Pink Add Ons are so weak because they were brown Add Ons before. A decision I cannot really understand, they should have created new Add Ons.
But you cant have powerful pink Add Ons when players have hundreds of those. IMO they should remove the pink Add Ons completely and make useful ones, so that every players starts at 0 pink Add Ons on Nurse. This would also allow some freedom, without having in mind that you cannot make it too strong, because players might have many of those.
(Even tho, they will probably be mediocre anyway, because Nurse is the best Killer and stuff like an Extrablink without Downside should not happen..)
But the number 1 priority should be to fix the Bugs for Nurse. Maybe even if they need to recode her from Scratch.

Rewarding as in not making them learn how to be good killers.
Saying just do gens is not good enough. Thats a complete waste of 15 minutes if your playing with friends
Players who play like this dont want to learn how to be good Killers, they usually do this to annoy Survivors. And Killers have it easier to do so than vice-versa, aside from getting someone sensitive who is annoyed by teabagging and stuff, you cannot really ruin other players games as Survivor. As Killer it is possible.
But, this will not change if you suicide on Hook. The only thing that this does is helping the Killer, because now they are not occupied by waiting 2 minutes until you die, they can get the next one and camp them.
Honestly, it sucks to get camped, but the only thing you can do at this point is to stay on the Hook so that your team can do Gens. The Killer will most likely get a 2K out of it (one Kill you, one Kill NOED), or maybe only a 1K, but if you suicide on Hook, your whole team basically lost (since if he gets another person, you cannot really complete all Gens in time with only 2 players repairing Gens).

PC, Steam, EU, Killer Queues long during the day, Survivor Queues instant. Killer instant in the evening, Survivor a little bit longer (but not as long as Killer Queues).
From my experience, the Survivors over the day are easier than the ones in the Evening and especially easier than those you encounter at night. Could be a point why Killers like to play during the day (or, it is like for me - evening is SWF, Solo is Killer).
Also, Crossplay benefits Killers more than Survivors, because Console Killers can easily disable Crossplay and still have instant Queue Times. So more Survivors go into the Crossplay-Pool, but not so many Killers, because they want to stay on Console because of easier Survivors (talking about Killers dont want it easy, eh?).
Of course people will go for "Players dont want to play Killer anymore because of the Nerfs!!11 Devs are always nerfing Killers!!111", but nah. From what I read on the Forums, Killers expect playing Killer as easy as playing Survivor (both are not hard IMO), but you cant really expect that the 1 is easier to play than the 4.

The other players in your game dont care that much if you DCed because you are salty because you got downed as Survivor or the Survivors you go against did a Gen or if yóu DC because you crashed out.
If you have a bad internet connection or PC and have regular issues, you should not be playing Onlinegames in the first place IMO until you fix your issue.
Let alone that this would be an invite for players to just unplug their internet instead of going over "Leave Match" to DC.

DBD should have died like 33 times according to players. Basically after every Patch there are players claiming that DBD is dying.
Regarding the Matchmaking, IMO it would help a lot already if they returned old Rank Reset. Players who struggle to rank up will take longer to reach Red Ranks again when they get set back to Rank 11 (or whatever it was when you were on 1 before). Yes, Ranks are mostly an indicator of how much you play, but still, someone who ranks up fast usually also players better.
But with that Rank Reset (which can also be 1 Rank, which is not really a Reset) players are just clustered together despite being on different Skill Levels.
And the only explanation we got was "Because people who cannot play much will not achieve the same as people who play more"... Which is...yeah? Logical?

The new guy is in the tomes already? And people say they play favorites with survivors.
Also is Hillbilly in a Moblin costume?
It fits, since it is Halloween and there will most likely be another Hallowed Blight-Event.
Also, and this is also a point for Billy - it is an easy way to get some Data because people are playing the respective Killer(s). Even tho, this is only a minor thing, since you dont get much data if someone players his Level 1 Billy.

And MoM is still good, just more challenging to activate...
though, isn’t it interesting (while not the actual reason for the nerf) how they profited from such a strong perk, then nerfed it well after sales peaked and were on the decline.
Could this be a trend we see in future chapters... make it look flashy, players buy it up, then...nerf it after the bank’s full, idk?
MoM is scarcely used as often as it once was.
Only with Survivor only-Chapters. With every regular Chapter there is a Killer which brings new gameplay. But since Survivors are all the same, you need something to make the Chapter interesting for everyone.
