What do you mean? Do you not enjoy getting the eye candy that is the blinded screen and the accompanying sound?
It lacks the elegant subtlety that being headonned four times in a row on the temple of purgation provides

It gives me a giggle when it procs so I see this as an instant S-tier fun perk.
it is funny when i'm the one doing it, I'll agree there

It's recommended that you get your 2nd dose between 3 and 12 seconds after your first, I'm following the science

Lol generic killer mains. It's funny how the game is easier than it was ever before for killers and they still don't care that an npc is doing their kills.
I guess I'm a killer main today. On here that changes with the tide

“NPC doing kills for them”. What tf do you think they’re there for?? To stare at survivors and do nothing?
Cheer you on while you're doing gens and occasionally hand out a key
-
"No one perk, or any add on, or item is essential to either winning or increasing your skill in this game"
But a wide variety of perks on at least one survivor and as many killers as possible is essential for interesting + varied builds, which is where a big part of the fun comes from for some of us
-
Your idea for a replacement sounds cool. I think the devs would be more inclined to do something less interesting though, like chop a couple of metres off the aura reading.
-
Is that what that was? I don't normally play this late.
Was about to get my 4 traps achievement :(
-
I just got mine, I don't usually go for adepts this early but I like his perks a lot.
-
I've gotten flashbang saves so they definitely work for that
-
I'm doing games in kyf but it's showing up there
-
Object - also for lethal pursuer
Headon - also for zombies
-
If people still VPN to the other side of the planet to get an advantage I'd say not.
-
A David dropping from above on ironworks of misery to land directly in front of me. He must have thought my reflexes were amazing bc of how quickly I hit him but I just accidentally pressed M1 out of fright
-
No it's better to counter/know about more unusual aura reading perks but the killer is likely running bbq as well which will burn through the stacks unless you save them with lockers. I prefer object really.

This part about Killers each having their own is problematical, though. Yes, each Killer has a power that takes some getting used to, but a lot of Killer behavior is the same across the board (including simply how you approach playing Killer) which means we're going to have a lot of experienced Killers slaughtering actual new folks simply because they are using a Killer they don't play a lot.
That's what I thought after the last MMR test when I tried huntress who I'd barely played (I may suck with her but I can kill brand new players with her)
But the devs posted today that halfway through this test they added a more general rating across killers which should stop that happening.
-
These survivors are going to be in the matchmaking pool in any case. Who else would you pair them with?

Altogether console does indeed outnumber PC, plus more of the console population play as a surv. And for good reason, have you played killer on an Xbox?
No but I was ps4 for a long time. Playing killer felt like fighting the game itself more than the survivors.
-
I'm pretty sure console players make up the majority. I'd guess steam and ps4 are the biggest two and xbox pushes it over, but I'd be interested to see what the actual numbers are.
Also your post deviates pretty far from the original point

It's not a bug. Trickster does have a mellody that's very similar to a lullaby, iirc the bug fix was that it wasn't heard at the correct distance previously.
If possible could you ask them why trickster needs/has this but slinger doesn't? I don't quite understand the reasoning there.

Playing multiplayer games pretty much my whole life ive come to the conclusion that its actually better to go against people of a higher skill level, you learn faster. Taking baby steps and "rank 20s" only going against "rank 20s" is a recipe for a brutal failure in the future. If you cant handle being stomped for awhile then dont play online games, its not how they are built. Its like being thrown into a new job, you better learn quick or you will get let go or be severely frustrated. Look at Apex legends, it rarely puts you in your skill level. You play a few good games and all of a sudden you have 3 squads of Predator level players. They just randomly throw 60 people in a non ranked game and say have at it. DBD doesnt need skill based matchmaking, it just needs to find 4 suvivors and 1 killer and let people learn either the hard way or easy way depending how you tackle it. Stop whining when youre a rank 14 killer going against a 4 man red rank swf....learn their patterns, practice your power, learn how good players loop and bring that with you into the next match
People of a somewhat higher skill level maybe. People with thousands of hours vs someone brand new, no. The only thing the new player will learn from that is that they should play something else.

I refer to the issue of putting a trap when 1 gen remains. Once it pops, that's it, you're tunneled and dead. Unfair and boring
extremely risky to do these days, now that traps are wasted after the last gen is done. If she hasn't used up her traps by the time 1 gen is left you have the upper hand anyway. If you are in this situation it's on your team to either try and delay opening the gates or all leave so you can get the hatch, which sadly might not always work out though. It's happened to me where the EGC timer is going down and my trap timer is going down and I'm by the hatch but my teammates insist on staying in the gates teabagging, slightly enraging...but not the killer's fault.
-
"most of the times the killer can get free kills and wins for just downing survivors at certain point of a match"
I'm pretty sure almost of my kills have started with me downing survivors at certain points in the match.
-
I've been getting this a lot recently, but mostly if I stay in lobby without readying up for a while

You are a very experienced player, dealing with Blight should be relatively easy for you. It is like playing against Old Billy, except that he wants to bump into obstacles instead of avoiding them.
Ruin + Tinkerer is oppressive on him, I will give you that, but that doesn't remove his main counterplay.
They have several hundred rush hits themselves, I don't know why they're determined to pretend to be a pure survivor main
-
"At first, I thought Blight needed a lot of skill to do well. I've seen enough and maybe some is needed"

Although it can suck at first, if you'd kept using the perks you find fun, you'd eventually reach a "stable" MMR, where you'd be matched up against people who also play casually (or at least people whose best effort matches your casual effort).
I will note, however, that if you changed your loadout, it's because you valued something else more than the loadout. Apparently, it's playing efficiently. Personally, I keep my weird-ass perks (at the moment: Dark Sense, Diversion, Red Herring, Inner Strength) no matter what because I value using a "weird" build over playing efficiently. Win or lose (usually win), I keep my loadout.
good to see another red herring enthusiast

The only words they ever use to describe the TR is terror radius or heartbeat, so if they're calling it a melody that sounds pretty intentional.

Soo much fun :) Idk why I'm matched like that... But if they introduce SMMR, it's time to consider whether to keep playing
That's unfortunate. I mostly had very good survivor games in terms of the killer and teammates, with a few wildcards here and there.
Killer games were pretty well matched too, like I could actually practice nurse. In this example I think the two escapees were together (not certain though) and they were equally good although one is rank 1 and the other rank 17. So the usual system would probably just launch them at some green rank killer
-
If you play casually and for fun, and run meme builds then why are you expecting to be matched with only meta nurses and spirits?
-
I'm more inclined to use stridor. I run it on nurse combined with her stridor-lite addon, I can hear them from miles away and they probably can't hear much over their own noises

Someone on here a while back was into demo, they were pretty specific on what they thought he would and wouldn't be capable of sexually

I believe in the next chapter patch, The Game is receiving a huge buff for killers. That is if you don't break certain walls. Instead of having those extremely safe god pallets, they're a dead end now. If a survivor drops one, they run straight into a room of purely breakable walls with the only exit being the pallet.
So, soon The Game will have far less safe pallets if it helps your case at all!
Where did you hear that?

There u go. Here's the formula BHVR follows.
----------
Anyway....
They could honestly start by giving him slightly more steering by default.
There's too much garbage & clutter on the reworked & new maps we have to dodge.
I did kinda suspect they were pushing people more towards bubba/oni/blight for this reason but what they did with wraith doesn't make sense in that light.
More likely they just don't want to admit they were wrong and remove a mechanic they spent time putting in.
-
Why play dbd when you can play pallet kicking simulator instead?

Guys guys I mean to be fair, the OP has a point. We need more killers in the game who look as beautiful and pretty as some of the biggest names in horror. You know big name pretty killers like Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, and Pinhead! I mean personally, I don't know about the rest of you, but whenever I look at Freddy in game I just swoon so hard. Nothing more breathtakingly beautiful than burn scars and melted flesh. He truly is the man of my dreams. Oh and don't get me started on Jason. The more rotted he became in the movies the more I fantasized about holding hands with him at his camp. I know I know, how scandalous!
Hell yeah Freddy I bet that pizza face comes with a stuffed crust 😩 I'm a bit out of his age range tho

I think Aneu was reciting a copypasta.
At least I hope he was
I mean today I made a spirit check the same gen three times with red herring, I think this might be the counterplay we've all been waiting for
-
To be fair, you have to be a very skilled killer to play Spirit. The timing on her phase attack is extremely subtle, without a solid grasp on your mouse to use it, which the typical killer simply is unable to do, you're going to 0k. There's also Spirit's mindgames that you have to take into account, do you use your phase at a pallet to hit the person on the other side, or do you simply do nothing and wait for the survivor to do it on their own? The best Spirit mains understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appriciate the precise timing of Spirit's m2, to realise that its not just a "boring power with little to no counterplay", they show SKILL in the GAME.

I was honestly sacrificed each match but i of course pipped. I was solo so i was playing like a solo should playing to pip not escape and the swf I am sweating but 4k and I dont want to have to every match sweat. I didnt see anything wrong with the old rank system I was still getting good survivors and killer.
You can die every match and still be useful to your team. As for your killer games maybe don't sweat? I don't mean to sound patronising, if you're getting matched against good swf teams, and killing them, it makes sense that the system will make it even harder for you. If you want more casual games, run off-meta stuff and play more, well, casual
-
You don't say if you won or lost these games. If you lost then hopefully, theoretically, you should get games that are easier to deal with.
If you're beating these nurses, spirits and top skilled swf then why shouldn't you go against them?
-
Spine chill is good (and annoying as a stealth killer) but I wouldn't nerf it.
Iron will I'd probably make it a temporary ability you could activate periodically (I say this as someone who runs IW a lot) but in return it and off the record would override stridor.
-
So far they've said it's at your own risk but they're probably going to properly go after it at some point for the reasons @Superyoshiegg mentioned
-
I got a legion today who clearly got screwed by the MMR and couldn't get a hit on me until I went for the window vault on a T wall and got sucked into a red glyph instead. She just swiped at it and let me get it, so I let her have the hook. I hope she got fairer matches after that.

Imagine going into a survivor stream where they only face nurses and spirits, I would really not enjoy myself in that scenario.
Or a stream where they're forced to play killers with the safe perk loadout because if they change it they will lose. So it both destroys diversity and creativity
I couldn't play myself yesterday but I watched some of Jund's stream and for the most part it was more interesting than usual watching him have to work for kills.

You mean the tiny fraction of the playerbase who actually use the forums? The loud minority?
Not just them. Like some people from my old swf group are refusing to even play currently just like they did with the last test because they know beyond all shadow of a doubt that they'll only be matched up with elite deathsquads. And I'm like...I know you guys are rank 1 killers and that's great but I've played against you before and I think you'll be fine, somehow.

That's exactly what you get with MMR. Unless you're saying you treat winning the game like it's your life's work and don't want to face opponents of the same mindset.
I swear all of this MMR doomsaying is people who are under the delusion that they're a god-tier player just because they're a red rank, when the whole point is that rank isn't a measure of skill and you're actually not the god-tier player you think you are. If you were, you wouldn't have anything to worry about, you could handle anything.
I had a survivor match earlier, it was a rainbow of ranks, I was rank 15 (down from 7 in the last reset), and I had a rank 2 survivor, a rank 1 killer and two other green/purple survivors. Yet it was the fairest, most balanced game I've ever played. 12 hooks, 1K, and 1 got the hatch. Genuinely never had such a satisfying game, that didn't cause me to 100% sweat, or feel completely hopeless, or steamroll the killer.
You all keep regurgitating Tru3T4lent and ScottJund with their "you'll only ever face Stridor Spirit and 6000 hour Nurses" as if you are the 6000 hour expert streamer yourself. 95% of players are not those players. MMR will work brilliantly for 95% of players, as it has been for me.
Yeah the amount of people I've seen complaining they're going to have eternal queue times and nothing but sweat squads and nurse and spirit...I guess 95% of the community is in the top 5% of players
