  • Sometimes I'm not in the mood to be watched so I'll dodge, but my interactions with streamers are usually positive. Also it's fun to watch people react to the weird stuff I run afterwards, i.e.

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1069472920?t=02h54m42s

I stuck around afterwards for a bit, nice people although they thought I was a baby :'(

  • Ideally every add-on would be fun and or useful but blight has enough good ones I think they should focus on different killers who have practically nothing but boring, useless, stupid or actively detrimental ones

  • A stupid nerf...okay when he hits a survivor with his tentacle it falls off and he has to regrow it out of a locker

  • I'm a mediocre survivor but I've only died to a couple of wraiths post-buff. One of them was silent bell/all-seeing blood with a DC at 4 gens. Also wraiths I know when you uncloak by a loop facing one way you're going to 180 and dash the other way because you all do that :p

Also he's countered -hard- by flashbangs which are popular right now.

So I finally had two players ready to put on a hook and they disconnected. I needed a kill not a “quitter” bonus. Their punishment? They can’t play for 3 minutes. Wow.

You picked a bad time to start playing. DC penalties are off, and the current matchmaking (hopefully soon to be gone for good) likes pairing new killers with experienced survivors. I'd give it a while and come back.

  • @Sluzzy said:

And yet there is no perk to completely counter BBQ. Isn't that ironic? And these perks are nowhere on the level of power as BBQ.

Go play some more noed nurse sluzzy

  • Point out an issue with survivor gameplay, perks, items, offerings - "you just want all survivors to start the game hooked"

Point out an issue with killer gameplay, specific killers, addons, offerings - "so you want all killers deleted and just a gen simulator game"

There's not much point discussing balance with anyone who isn't interested in balance or game health and just wants to one-up "the other side" whenever possible.

I agree with @MissKitty95 I personally make my own fun.

Also, you provide a bad example.

Most killers don't leave like that, so your talking about the exception to the rule, so impact is minimal. Also who has 10-15min survivor queue times, I don't.

Furthermore, only a stupid killer would leave. Games are based on attrition, the longer a game goes the less survivors have at their disposal to survive, which obviously benefits killers.

As such it's mainly survivors who leave, because when you get camped tunneled out of the game by a sweaty killer, you leave with about 2k if this happens right at the start of a game. There's literally no point to stay beyond some ethical moralisation.

I usually have 10+ minutes queue time as survivor and instant as killer after about 5pm.

    This is wrong.

Sony is a pain in the ass about achievements, and about the only way one can be changed its if it literally becomes impossible. That is why on PS4 Skilled Huntress still requires 100 downs. But when Legion was changed one of his achievements was changed too because it was no longer possible with the way his power had been updated.

Ah okay, thanks for correcting me. Was the old achievement downing them *with* legions power then?

I understand that the name shaming rule is there to prevent people bullying others on the forums (we have enough being bullied ingame).

But a person that does this kinda things should be exposed, imo. I highly doubt that ingame reports/internal forum reports have consequences.

Postgame chat isn't hard to fake. You beat me in a match, I change my steam username to yours and say a load of vile stuff to myself in the survivor pre-lobby, screenshot it and post it here for a witchhunt. That sort of thing would happen.

  • Edit: I was wrong, achievements can be changed if they become impossible

They can't, consoles are strict about that stuff. It's why when they nerfed nurse there still had to be a way to use 3 blinks, when they nerf keys they'll still have to be able to allow all four survivors escape the trial with it, if they wanted to nerf huntress they could do pretty much whatever they wanted but except reduce her range that much because 24+ metre hits still have to be possible, all because of achievements. Even if they could change them, a lot of them are difficult and/or time consuming and people who went for them won't be impressed.

anyone Can dc ….Killers and survioirs I don’t care if people ain’t having fun then let them leave….you play games to have fun right ?

You're telling me that if you queue 10-15 minutes for a survivor game and the killer quits instantly because they don't like the map or the first gen got done too fast you'd be 100% fine with that?

I'm not sure I believe it

  • @aroell said:

Why would people ever defend this add on? It’s clearly op and needs a change.

They can't change things that would make an achievement impossible.

And then do you know what people then ? They. Just kill themself on hook … and then people complain about people killing themselves …

do you not notice when the dc penalty is active all people complain about is dying on hook either way people will do it regardless. And a penalty is not going to stop it. maybe if the game was stable didn’t have such ass hitboxes, lag/connection issues, poor frame rate and people playing in a-holes way this wouldn’t happen.

Explain to me if someone leaves straight away why should people have to stay in the game ?

do you kno how many games as a solo player I have entered a game and someone kills themself on hook straight away …. And then we are forced to stay in the game and farm because the killer don’t want to d-rank… on both sides I couldn’t care less if I don’t get a 4k and I also couldn’t care less if I don’t escape this is a causal game people need to understand this

Well I hope you at least also support killers dcing for their own personal dislikes. You did the first gen too fast, or you lasted too long in chase, or you used an exhaustion perk, or you got a flashlight save, or they felt that pallet shouldn't really have stunned them etc etc

  • You make a good case for bringing them back

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/261254/if-there-are-2-gateaus-why-play-like-a-douche

To killers it doesn’t matter. They need that 4K and nobody else’s fun, points, or game play experience matter.

"Killer bad, survivor good" is just as tedious as "survivor bad, killer good", and doesn't need to be whined in every single thread. Stop playing only half of the game you paid for, or go outside, maybe have a day at the spa or treat yourself to some scented candles, anything to help you relax and become less obsessed with a meaningless culture war within a multiplayer game.

  • No, this is the normal matchmaking which does this regularly.

  • Yes, survivors doing everything they can to get all gens as quickly as possible, ignoring anything else is a thing.

This isn't the same as them all spawning on four different gens which they're all probably going to start on, this is just terrible luck

Also not the same is when gens fly because the first survivor the killer found was the strongest one and the killer decided to chase them for 3/4 minutes. This is a combination of bad luck and terrible decision-making

  • I still haven't seen it.

  • I play plague and will occasionally get people who make me kill them instantly for this reason which makes me feel kinda bad. It'd be nice if survivors could opt out or at least reduce their chances of going against one killer - I know it'd be abused and most would just mark spirit, plus it'd have to account for swf but it'd be good for accessibility. People on here have expressed difficulty going against different killers that isn't related to gameplay itself.

  • Maps need more stuff in them, with less extremes. More playable pallets, more debris and stuff to hide behind if that's your thing etc. Not just a bunch of extremely strong tiles surrounded by deadzones.

  • I mean I'll have something to say, positive or negative, about the event when it's actually happening and I've seen it for myself. We don't know if it'll just be cakes and crowns or something more interesting yet. Which I presume that's what the video is about, I don't have much interest in listening to space coconut tbh

  • Just salty people who don't like losing and need to find reasons why they didn't really "lose" because it wasn't a fair fight. Also you can still play nurse and blight and at some point you'll be informed they take no skill either. You could play no blink nurse and adrenaline vial/placebo tablet blight and be told that as well.

Except spirit, they actually have a point there. Still a bit childish to whine about it postgame though.

  • Maybe because she has no power? She isn't teleporting or setting traps or charging ranged weapons mid chase, she just advances, menacingly

  • Well you've mastered the most important huntress tactic: dcing when you can't catch anyone.

I don't know why you dced at all, you had two survivors dead so you can afford to go on long chases and maybe learn something.

  • I ran that build on pig with third seal instead of sloppy once. Idk if I'd call it fun, I had 2 dead and 2 disconnected at 5 gens so I felt kinda bad

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yes, this is something which grinds my gears since forever. But BHVR never said it was a Bug, despite being reported multiple times.

At least give the chance to hit it like Overcharge...

I've said before regular skill checks should work like overcharge in that way, and they should change that effect from overcharge to how regular ones work now to make it an anti-gentapping perk that isn't just for green ranks

  • @aroell said:

I mean it’s basically a 3v1, you could just go easy on them, but nowadays killer mains have no sense of empathy so obviously you have to try hard to get that 3k.

If I'm killer and a survivor DC's at the start of a match I'll either follow suit or I'll delete the next two survivors asap so I can get into a match that'll actually be interesting. Last one can have hatch.

Blaming killers for survivors dcing is ridiculous and makes you sound like a parody account, which we have enough of

  • @MadLordJack said:

At least Slinger requires genuine skill, something most people like to ignore.

I've never seen any complaints about slinger that say he takes no skill.

  • I watched a few games of that stretched Res streamer that looks like they're playing on a Gameboy Color, it was hilarious

Yeah your FF detection works if they are oblivious

if You are undetectable i.e Tinkerer your FF detection will not work.

If you use Dark Devotion it will detect enemys around your Obsession.

Hysteria and Deathbound are mvps on legion.

Have you tried this yourself and confirmed it works with oblivious? Just that I keep hearing conflicting info

  • @Carth said:

It's the "fun" meme that gets paraded around. Most people will admit that there are zero killers outside of nurse that can compete against a good team on comms, who are playing efficiently, and are prioritizing getting gens done over everything. The people will say "but hes just not fun!!" and if you ask survivors who is a fun killer 9 times out of 10 they will give you a list of killers who have 1. Low chase mobility 2. A power that cannot be used to hit over a pallet/window/through a wall. 3. Their power can only be used in linear lines with no curving or ability to react to a juke.

I mean huntress is generally considered more fun to go against and she's stronger...

As for slinger yeah he's weak in 4v1 and still miserable to go against, I beat him a lot because me and other survivors usually just smash gens as soon as it becomes obvious it's him, genrush isn't exactly fun and interactive counterplay though.

If they made his ADS take longer and gave him a melody/lullaby (I mean it was necessary to give trickster one apparently?) AND made him 115 I'd be happy with that

  • I love her own three perks on her, you can also go for slowdowns like stacking thana and dying light - DL doesn't give the obsession the weird healing speed buff with her. Well it does, it just it won't see much use.

You can also go for a vomit comet build with pwyf, injuring survivors with vile purge doesn't lose stacks or it didn't the last time I used it anyway.

One tip I'd give is if you spawn next to your corrupt fountain, consider just grabbing it straight away. It's high risk high reward but I've swung the game in my favour before by just charging in with it early game. I haven't got lethal pursuer on her yet but might be worth considering for this.

  • I find it more difficult than survivor (and more stressful, which is why I play survivor a bit more) but when it's fun it's really fun

  • Tinkerer, infectious fright, save the best for last and sloppy butcher

  • There's no explanation for some of the things that happen in solo queue. I've watched from the hook all the way into second state as two teammates fully self care themselves through sloppy butcher 15 metres apart. And I had kindred, they could see each other

  • Yes, and about time. Clown's reign of terror is over

  • There's a lot of killers, no one is going to find all of them fun. Even killers that are generally agreed upon to be fun or not to against. I don't like facing ghostface or trapper, some people will actually enjoy going against a slinger or spirit...

  • Binding of kin and darkness amogus

  • If they look down it stops the blind but doesn't look any different like looking up does.

Bullshit? It’s their opinion. You could still be nice about it.

Maybe people could be nicer but they're saying things like survivors never win and nemesis is the strongest killer in the game...which aren't true.

It might be my opinion that the devs should nerf pig and buff spirit but people would understandably want to contest that

  • It's fine unless the survivors just W through the corridors and you're a killer who can't do much about it.

  • @Adeloo said:

I think that maybe the MMR should be visible and replace the rank in the scoreboard. It could be divided like this : Mud, Wood, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Iridescent, and then divided in III,II and I.

Like current matchmaking it would search MMR closest to you (imagine you are Silver II, you can be placed in a game with Bronze II up to Gold II) And each 90 sec the limits are 1 division wider (Bronze III to Gold III) etc.

That would make the forums even more insufferable. People already whip out their "red rank both sides btw" before announcing their terrible opinions

  • I think some people use the term "casual" to mean playing in a fairly chill way but ultimately still always winning, which sounds mostly like matchmaking failure. When the rank reset before last borked and sent me to rank 14 I played multiple games of demo with average perks and addons and got 12 hook 4ks with 4/5 gens up without a great deal of effort. A casual game for me yeah, but I doubt it felt that way to them.

  • I'm all ears is pretty decent. It's especially good on PH and nurse, but stealth killers can get some use out of it too, pig probably being the best user of it out of those - they vault a window, you instantly crouch out of sight and watch their aura and they'll often panic and move somewhere you can intercept them.

Rancor is okay, but it's just a less precise bitter murmur with the bonus that your obsession will be too scared to do anything useful to help their team in late game. It depends on your playstyle but I'd say IAE is the better perk.

Head on is usually considered the weakest exhaustion perk but it's the only one you can get saves with. Plus it's fun if pretty annoying

    Blood pact is meh

  • Sometimes with dragons grip, but I usually use trail of torment instead
