I didn't realise I wanted Sweeny Todd but now I definitely do.
Other than that, Alien/Xenomorph would be my ideal killer.
YES! join us!
and the good thing about sweeney, is that they can basically make their own version of him and don't need to buy the rights to the movie.
perks of being an urban legend character

Same exact principle of people not wanting to go against something they don't like. If it's fair for one side then it's fair for the other.
it's fair for a survivor to lobby dodge just as much as it is for killer.
just as DCing in a match is wrong for both sides
-

That's the dumbest analogy I've ever heard. Either way it isn't fair for one side to avoid whatever they don't like then criticises the other side for doing the same. Simple as that.
no.
1 case has no consequences.
the other ruins a match for 4 people and wastes a bunch of time.
they are not the same.
and going by the analogy, in one case no one gets hurt, in the other it has a big effect on the ones involved.
they are not the same

But they're both refusing to play against the other side for the same reasons so either both aren't okay or both are okay. You can't have it both ways.
mate...
if someone steals a dollar from someone that has millions, it's not the same thing as stealing a dollar from someone that has 5.
also, lobby dodging =/= dc. just stop
-

Gotta be honest sounds a bit one sided that it's okay for one side to avoid what they don't like but not okay for the other to do the same.
because of the consequences.
killer lobby dodges = extra 10 seconds of waiting for the survivors
survivor dc = match ruined for 4 people + a bunch of time wasted.
these 2 are not comparable and you should really stop trying to equate them
-
@Kirkylad said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2010570#Comment_2010570
So a killer avoiding survivors because they don't want to go against certain items or they think they are a team etc is not comparable to a survivor not wanting to go against a certain killer..... interesting 🤔
yes. because they happen at different times and have diferent consequences
-
just loop better. that's the counter.
-
@IronWill said:
Ok so let me get this straight: survivors suiciding or giving up against certain killers is bad but killers lobby dodging for whatever reason isn't?
when a survivor dcs, it ruins the match for 4 people, and a bunch of time is now wasted thanks to the loading time and the rest of the match.
when a killer lobby dodges, the survivors wait an extra 10 seconds for another killer to show up.
these are not even remotely comparable
-
trapper exists, so no.

iron will is indeed really ######### strong.
but for some reason lucky break is the one with a timer...
Also, why does Nurse have footstep sounds? She is literally hovering two feet off the ground....
she does?

it would literally change nothing
-
you depip as survivor when you do gens? AND save people? AND do totems? how?
-
competitively chill.
I wanna win and try my best to do it. but I really just wanna have fun

because they wanna play with it.
-
the reveal addons for myers are memes. they are not an issue.
and there is a lot of figuring things out in games this big.
do you think people just play league of legends and don't spend time reading what each character does? same applies here.
if you wanna figure things out as you play, go for it. but the game let's you read each character ability and perks if you want to invest that time. it also let's you see everything that went into play during your last match, so you can be prepared for the next one.

50/50 is not a mind game.
au contraire mom ami.
50/50 is a requirement for it to be a mindgame.
because your opponent has 2 options, and you need to pick one to counter. meaning, you need to get in his mind to pick properly.
if it isn't 50/50, you're just playing the odds

Heres the thing. If you put yourself in a position where you will always be able to prevent an unhook, due to your constant knowledge and active positioning, is that not functionally the same as face camping? Im not calling you a camper here, a tier 1 myers trying to face camp would be ridiculous, but Im playing devils advocate a bit. Like sure the nurse isnt face camping, but if she teleports back right before someone can make an attempt, every single time, she might as well be? What is mechanically different from the two situations?
face camping. is from a time where you could only unhook someone from the front. meaning if a killer stood right in front of the survivor, it was impossible to unhook.
meaning it's literally impossible to face camp anymore.
the difference between camping and what is happening in the match, is that he is not just defending the hook, he's going for the other people.
it's not the killer's fault if the survivor unhooks while he is in range of the hook. and/or the survivor stays near the hooked person. (which, if you do this... shame on you)
-
dodge whatever lobby you want mate.
it literally doesn't hurt anyone.
-
no match should last longer than 20 min.
-
I don't really care... I just want the rank rewards to be a thing... XD
-
kate - she hot. I like her backstory and everything else aswell... but she hot.
trapper - he's fun as hell.

@Yamaoka said:
I mean yeah... If there's no flashlights to destroy your web she's definitely a strong and very strategic killer.
She may not be a mechanically demanding killer but she sure requires patience and strategy. You start chasing someone without a solid trap-web? You're done for.
You keep calm and re-trap all common spots (and obviously hooks) against survivors who don't destroy your webs while you're carrying someone and have no flashlights? They're in for a rough / frustrating time.

Oh I understand staying injured to save time and I often play like that. That’s why I always use Iron Will. But in some matches I feel like I have to be healed because nobody is going for the unhook in the basement etc and I would rather be able to take a hit after getting the unhook than going straight down. I just don’t get why they want me to heal them but don’t return the favour? They sit at the hook waiting for me to heal them and then run off.
I’m good at being stealthy and looping so I don’t mind being injured, but like I said, there are games where it’s beneficial to be healed. I had an Oni match and I kept healing people but nobody would heal me. A huge counter to Oni is not bleeding everywhere. 😂
One time, playing against oni, I had we'll make it, so healing took half the time.
there was this 1 guy who just refused to let me heal him... more than once.
it's so dumb...
-
Insidious - Stand still for 1.5 seconds and gain undetectable for 5/6/7 seconds.
I think this is the best idea for insidious I have ever heard...
stand still for x, gain Y time as undetectable.
just give it a cooldown so you can't just continue to stand still forever, and voilá
perk is unique, quite niche. but it won't promote camping anymore.
I think it's a win-win
-
honestly... they should add it.
the maybe 10 people that wanna run it will be happy.
as long as the other 2 perks for the killer are more meta... I don't see people complaining...

Actually its more related to the number of buttons and the layout of controller to be able to still be functional. For example if i try to bind it to a face button instead of a trigger i cant look around while doing that action
you clearly never seen someone playing dante in DMC 4... the claw hands are a thing...
but on a more general note, it's quite easy to press square and look around... a lot of games that use the face buttons have cameras that we need to control... it's normal.

Why would you want to, the only totem really worth protecting is devour
irrelevant.
if you wanna protect multiple totems at once, trapper can do it easily. twins can only cover one, and they are basically powerless while doing it

Nice "source". At least I put a screenshot where 3 console players are rank 20 and I am rank 4 so I think my argument is more valuable lol.
I look at console matches ranks after every single match by default.
you look at them, every now and again.
so yes... when you consider me vs you, I am the better source. or do you think I can't put a screenshot of the matchmaking being terrible with pc players and great with console?
but here, have a screenshot of a table I'm working on showing the ranks of 4 matches in a row...
Sem título.pnghappy? do you think this changed anything?
because it shouldn't, a single screenshot or even the 4 matches I'm showing, is meaningless when you wanna argue general

Default settings have actions (pallet/vault/locker) and interactions (healing/gen/unhook/totem/etc.) set as same button. You need to manually change them but most don't.

Twins is probably the best totem defender in the game imo
can twins defend multiple totems at once like trapper can?
didn't think so
-
have yet to see it happening
-
depends on the day. here's what I used last
bbq, pop, agitation, surveillance (I was doing a basement challenge, that why I used agitation)
but STBFL is really good on him, corrupt intervention(for that easier early game to set up).
third seal (with the addon that makes people go down if they escape by themselves).
remember me(no one can open gates with you around).
surge(you m1 a lot, and this saves time you might not have as a set up killer).
trail of torment isn't all that good on him but I really like being undetectable, helps against OoO aswell.
whispers (helps knowing if someone is around to see you put down a trap)
also the generics
ruin + undying - personally I don't like this, but it does work
devour + undying - this is much better, and with traps you can potentially hide that you have this until you have 5 stacks (also, trapper is the best character at defending totems, bar none)
-
he - "join me"
you - "NEVER!"
he - "so be it"
*he is about to murderize you
them - By the power of Greyskull.... we mean... by the power of altruism! We have the BLOOOOCKS!!!!!

If you want to slug all 4 at 5 gens and not hook, that's fine. It's part of the game.
If you want to slug all 4 at any other point in the match, that's fine. It's part of the game.
I will still try to hide from you and not allow the hook. That is part of the game. Hiding from the Killer.
The only way to stop this is to not slug, but I do agree that at some points it is necessary to pressure Survivors. Just be ready with a Perk or something because most Survivors I see will try to hide somewhere so you can't get the kill. It's just part of the game.
op is not saying "do not hide"
op is saying "if you want the game to end, don't hide"
op understands that hiding is part of the game, they just want people to stop getting annoyed that they bleed out on the ground when they hide and/or go to a dead zone.
-
not sure what you're asking... but a black pip shouldn't have any effect on your rank

I meant be removed from just crossplay queues, I want to play with ALL pc players if possible
you can either play only with pc players, that also only wanna play with pc players.
or you play with everyone.
pick one.
-
I think keys should either be only from chests, or only from the bloodweb.
because they are currenty way too powerful.
-
bps? wraith, legion or freddy.
looking at the banned list, go wraith (banning legion is so weird :p)
edit - forgot perks :p
(gonna assume the extra bps of bbq are not gonna count for this. if they do, use it)
pop - don't use ruin, you wanna kick gens for bps
also no insta down perks, 2 hits means more points.
nurse's calling - interrupting healing is good. also this is good on wraith in general.
information perk - pick your favorite, you just gotta be able to find survivors.
honestly considering brutal strength for faster kicks since kicking things a lot is part of the plan... corrupt intervention is good too, since it limits the playing field for a while giving you time to gather points.
I suggest using the silent bell + stronger windstorm addons.
windstorm because...obviously.
and the silent bell because it has bigger chances of giving you hits after coming out of invisibility, which gives more points.
came up with this in like 5 minutes without properly checking all the perks, so it can probably be improved, but that's what I would use if I had to do it now
-
in that case...
dwight - if bond interests you. it's a great aura perk. (I like kindred more). [leader and proove thyself are good too, but if you play solo they aren't high priority]
tapp - if you have issues finding totems and/or gens. detective's hunch is a great information perk.
those are my first picks, in order.
Jane - I wouldn't grind her until later... all she has is head-on, and it's just a meme perk with very little game applications
adam - deliverance is pretty good, but I find that it rarely comes into play. someone comes pick you up 99% of the time. pebble is fun, but also a meme perk
-
as a trapper main...
dh over a trap
these ######### hurt...
you set the trap and successfully herds the survivor towards the trap. then they press E... and now you can't continue chasing because your trap is on the way, meaning you need to either go around (which on some loops = giving up on the chase altogether), pick the trap up and lose a good distance (you might not even be able to pick it up, and if you do pick it up it means there's 1 less set trap on the map), or just give up and go do something else (like go play civilization V).
not even current OoO is this game breaking
-

Because ever since crossplay got into the game matchmaking is even worse and console player lobbies usually have an even higher rank disparity for whatever reason.
no they don't...
source: I play on console and can see the ranks every match
-
do you already have their perks?
because that changes the answer

Fair enough, but unkillable psycho with knife trumps guy with gun in my book... Maybe. Is John wick killable? He hasn't been killed yet has he? Oh shoot.
after the end of the third movie... he's more resilient than ######### zombie jason...
-
I use WGLF, for points.
kindred, because it's the best solo information perk.
inner strength, for easy independant heals here and there
4th varies (usually tied with whatever archive challenge), honestly thinking about using one of the new 3 perks when it comes out
-
I usually use it just for the insta downs... and try to only kill people on the last hook (because I get more points that way)
