  • I guess you hit some pretty headache inducing walls of distributen and legal problems, once you hit Mortal Kombat style levels of fatalities. For games like MK this is part of the appeal and you will generate that much more interest in the countries were it is allowed, that you might compensate for the ones were you get banned, but the thing is that especially China and some other eastastian countries doen't want too much grotesque and open brutality in their games, so for you to lose the chinese market you must make it 100% be worth it in market shares in the US and Europe.

That being said, the mori are more like a little easter egg and no part of the core gameplay experience, so they tend to be much more harmless in terms of visual spectacle and dont involve many extra details added to them like inner organs or viscere, just look how Bubbas mori plays out: he chainsaws the poor survivor from toe to head, but the model stays intact. Some of them are pretty cool (Clown, Pyramidhead, Pinhead, Artist), but others are quite lacking in impact. The Doctors one always feels like its missing something, for example, and same goes for Trickster, but I guess mori are what they are.

What would be nice, though, would be if we could get a second mori for everyone and have a 50/50 chance of seeing either, giving it a bit more variety.

  • The extra hook state might indeed a wet and wild dream, but I would support the core idea: BT has far evolved past its original idea and usage, ie securing an unhook and protecting the unhooked surv from being tunneld, to now allowing very, very aggressive and far too unsave unhooks right in the face of the killer with little to no risk involved if the unhooked surv aggressively bodyblocks the killer.

I know that it sucks pretty hard to be tunneled right off the hook, I have experienced that quite a lot myself to few times I played survivor, but there are situations were the survivors absolutely don't respect the killer one inch because they know that there is next to nothing he can do to them, mostly thanks to BT played like it is.

It would help a lot of the unhooked person loses collision while BT is running its course, allowing you to keep up the chase with the unhooker and making a risky unhook again, well, risky. In MY wildest and wettest dreams, the same would hold true for the killers strike, ie if you hit the survivor protected by BT your strike won't stop but could potentially hit the unhooker, but I know myself that this is just some ludicrous wishfull thinking.

Point stands: BT in its current format is used in wildly differently way as it was originally conceived and intended and it especially punishes killers who want to play fair and by the survivors playbook.

  • Maybe she has some reliable way to quickly teleport across the map, from well/TV to another. Something that generates map wide pressure.

  • What I am seeing more and more these days: after an unsave unhook the unhooked person will run straight at you and then DH through you. If you took the swing at them, you will miss and also lose sight of everyone involved, if not, you will at least have to dodge the unhooked survivor, buying the unhooker that much extra time to gain distance. I hate this.

Let's hope so, although honestly eating paper is a better use of my time than playing dbd at this point lmao

Awww, cheer up! I just got into this game last month and having a blast, 90% maining killers, so any improvment that BHVR might make will directly impact my already high enjoyment of this game. But I know that it is in a sorta tough spot, playing killer after a while is no joke and the pressure is immense! But whatever, all this has been discussed to hell and back at least three times, so lets hope for a pretty interesting next chapter :>

Also, I think the Artist is pretty interesting and strong, so just keep on hoping for the best.

  • As funny as that would be, I don't wish constipations on you. Also, I got a feeling that she will be more about map pressure and teleporting around fast, then 1v1 looping, we got a lot of those in the last few killers and BHVR surly got the message from all the rants about it.

  • Someone here gave a very plausible explanation:

during the day, if someone got some time at their hand to play the game, if they aren't an exclusive survivor player, a lot of peeps might opt to play a quick killer match, so there are more killers online and the killer queue gets longer. In the evening a lot of players will decide to play with friends, so more SWF groups gather and there are fewer killers online, so killer queues become nearly instantly.

If really that many Killer players quit because of the state of the game? I can't say, but it is about 85% true that playing survivor is way less stressful, especially in the current meta. So this might at least influencing the times at night, too.

  • Today I tried a Devour Hope and Undying build for the first time, because I got both in purple grades on my new Pyramid Head (I know, not the best killer for this build, but whatever ^^), and in my second game I got the ball running, moried 3 survivors, sadly the third just escaped through the hatch.

And then this one dude went off in chat like "nice cheats, killer" :D Some people are just nuts and/or have no clue what mechanics exist in the game, but behave all high and mighty. Imagine accusing a survivor of hacking, just because you didn't know that the Head On perk exist and you got stunned a few times by that.

But I actually enjoy talking to this peeps and see what crooked mental gymnastics they will take in order to justify their loss. For me its free entertaining, just irgnore the threats though.

The snowmen shouldn't be a free hit in the first place. But aside from that, best thing to do is do gens when Bubba is camping.

Any killer can camp, Bubba is just one of the killers that are better at doing it.

Clown can't camp, I tried. Survivors run straight through your clouds and unhook. :'(

  • @Laluzi said:

Snowmen are mostly a problem if you're playing Twins or Ghostface in particular. But I agree that you can't understate the frustration on the survivor side, either - for every smart play I've seen a teammate make with a snowman, I've had a random MIA in favor of snowman antics. Yesterday I had a match where a healthy Cheryl with Blood Pact spent three minutes dicking around in a snowman (and I know that because I was the injured obsession and she disappeared from Blood Pact's aura read) while one and eventually two people languished in basement and she was the only one who could have possibly gone for the save, because I had no means to heal myself while she was Frosty the Snowmanning across the map and the killer was proxy camping. Another time, I hit stage 2 because the closest person to me was spinning in circles in a snow suit. Those kinds of frustrating stories where the team needs everyone and someone is off playing with the event goodies for prolonged periods of time are pretty common, and they're absolutely benefitting the killer - but like you said, the killer typically can't see that it's happening. They don't chalk up the win to the event because they don't know why the team went down, just that it did.

However, survivors goofing off while other parts of the team try to work isn't an issue in SWFs... which is where most killer complaints about survivors come from. It's the usual disparity magnified - on the one side, snowmen wandering in to bodyblock a doorway mid-chase, on the other, only two survivors doing anything while the other two pantomime a snowman romance on the other side of the map.

Still. I think mostly killers are salty that there's nothing for them to do in this event; no items, no interactions (beyond hitting the snowmen, which occasionally cause a survivor to make a play they couldn't otherwise.) But I could be wrong about that.

This is extremely insightful, thanks for this input. And of course you are right, as a killer you dont see all of this. To me it seems as if all survivors play "slam the gen" all the time, and when you interupt them, they occasional jump into a Snowman, in order to get an extra health state and let the killer proudly clean his weapon.

    You are a ######### loser.

But they escaped, right? So by the very definition, they were no loser :D (sorry, my bad ... I will leave now..)

  • @Sybarite said:

honestly depends on a lot of factors.

Doing that on the first hook is 95% chance of being bad though and you will lose badly odds are 0K or 1K. The only time I have ever done that is when I was playing Oni vs a team who pick RPD running four flashlights. They kept trying to bait near the library and just being toxic so I wanted the game over ASAP. Funnily enough, got 4K only due to them being silly.

Honestly, this are always the most satisfying wins. But sadly, for every game were I floor a toxic team, there are about three were its the other way around. Still, its very satisfying to see their aweful ways and toxic behaviour being repaid with bitter defeat.

  • @lauraa said:

Anti loop killers suck and are bad design! They promote "Hold W " gameplay and can be quite oppressive in chase.

Some of these killers, namely Pinhead, are also criticized for being unfair to Solo Q while doing nothing to SWF.

Now meet Frank. Frank is a good boy. Hes just a basic killer with no fancy party tricks. When I see Frank, I feel relieved that I'm going to have a "normal" match of DbD. Most Legions are uninspired and run Thana+Dying Light but eh, whatever.

And yet, Legion probably gets just as much if not more DCs and Sandbaggers than Pinface. I see it both when I play them and when I'm against them.

What's the dealio here, and why are people so childish about this killer? It cant be because he is boring, because Freddy exists.

It cant be because hes Bull, because Bubba exists

It cant be that his design is busted because Nurse exists

And yet, I dont see people DC and immediately suicide to Nurse and Bubba. Bubba is literally the most boring and obnoxious killer to face because you know whoever goes down first is gonna DIE no matter what, because the reason people pick Bubba is to lord that kind of power over survivors. And yet, whoever goes down first typically afks on hook to hopefully keep Bubba in place.

But Legion? Nah bro, that's going too far. How dare you sir, let me just suicide on hook for playing a Canadian.

Legion is considered dumpster tier by many people, and unlike Trapper, he doesnt have an Evil build like Trapper has. So wheres the beef?

I legitimately fail to understand why this killer creates such suicidal tendencies so consistently.

Now, now, as a somewhat Legion and Bubba main, I take that personal! As if EVERY Bubba player wants to LORD over the survivors and watch them slowly dying. A normally played Bubba is probably the best designed Killer in the game: he is always dangerous, you cant run your clickityclack and tea-bag, bodyblocking shennanigans against him, but have to take him seriously, but he can also be looped and windowed.

Regarding Legion, I guess its kinda oppressive, how they can follow you in a chase, and just hit you with deep wound and vault, people dont like that, I guess? But its not easy to get a down out of a ferral frenzy chase, because of the big slow down. Its funny though, when people forget to mend and then die in some random corner or at a gen and you can just stroll over and pick them up.

Please don't put in challenges that are totally outside of players control.

In a world where most of this games idiotic survivors feel like they have to stay in the exit gate and butt dance (making the challenge impossible) or just point blank refuse to leave until they see you are with them...it's borderline impossible.

I'm sure people have done it...but it's a challenge outside of the players control and apart from being in a 4 man SWF.....I dunno...not sure of the point of this rant....just stop putting in challenges that they player themselves cannot influence. No one likes them!!!!

(As you can probably tell, I'm a little triggered cause I'm solo queue and it's just not fun to do)

Try some of the harder killer challenges for fun, like vomiting on two survivors with one gasp of air .. two times in the same trial. Or electrocuting 20 survivors in one trial with the big aoe attack of the Doctor. Or one of my favorites: as Oni down a survivor with your charge attack -- after charging for a full 10s!!!

And there is also the secret mori challenge, ie the "kill all four survivors by your hands during a single trial". One day I will try it with a Rancor/Devour/Mori build with Pyramid Head, jut to increase the likelihood. I had a 3 mori game once, but the last survivor wasnt on death-hook, so there was nothing I could do :(

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

The real problem with challenges like that is that the game suddenly develops sentience and a very refined degree of malevolence.

So until Camping is properly dealt with, why shouldn't people try to block if the killer is Camping?

I don't see any good reason not to. They deserve it at that point.

Here we are going in circles. You are right: bodyblocking a camping killer certainly feels good and is the right thing to do, but once learned you will employ this tactic against every killer who comes back and tries to defend the hook, or when a teammate tries a super unsave cheeky unhooking right in the killers face. And here the killer gets punished for doing nothing wrong, nor can the survivors be criticized for employing a technique that works. So we are looking for a solution that shuts down the offensive use of BT, that mostly punishes good, non-camping Killers, while leaving its core intact, ie shutting down tunneling.

But I was told this event was just for fun and no one is using it for an advantage. I've also been told you can't use it for an advantage.

Survivors use it all the time in a chase to jump in when I get the jump on them in the open and hope that they clamber inside fast enough for me to wast time wiping my blade clean, while they scurry away like the rat they are for abusing the cute snowman mechanic like that :<

Just another reason to play more Bubba during this event: if timed right his chainsaw swing will pop the snowman and then his next backhand swing will down the survivor. Some call this unfair, I call it "evening the playing field".

EDIT: just to be clear, I will hit them with a regular M1 if they approach me in the snowman suite and wiggle a bit, but if they try to abuse the snowman as a getaway vehicle, I will try to reve my chainsaw.

  • I generally think that the Killer should be able to shove survivors out of the way, I mean most Killers are super bulky and buff, the more flimsy ones are entity-enhanced.

I admit that bodyblocking is somewhat clever, but its also super unimmersive and yet one more instance were the Killer gets zero respect from the survivors and they play you like a fidel. So don't take it away, but let the killer bulldoze pesky survivors out of the way with 25% - 33% movement speed or something; enough that its a noticable slowdown, but nothing that truly stops a determined Killer.

regarding borrowed time: yeah, I hate its offensive application so much! I am a Killer main, but when I played a fair bit of survivor I learned the hard way how aweful being tunneld feels, ie you get finally rescued, but the Killer focuses on you and downs you instantly, again, and thats mainly because at my baby survivor level, no one plays BT, so I 100% see the need and appeal for such a perk, BUT its not used as a get away insurance, its used as a "throw a wrench into every hook defending attempt the Killer is trying" ability, and that leaves a very, very sour taste in my mouth.

Like some peeps here proposed, make the unhooked survivor affected from Borrowed Time lose collision, so that you can hit their teammates through them, should they try to stand in your way, this would encourage a more careful rescue playstyle and give the perk its original intention back. Right now you often have zero chance to meaningful defent a hook, if you dont camp right in front of it to interrupt the unhooking process, and I think that it would be much healthier for the game if the unhooking was at least a little bit risky?

It's 50% vs 100% while self healing. Healing takes 16 seconds. I honestly think it should work only for owner. Imagine how many time survivors would waste if they were blessing 4 totems.

Sorry, but am I missing something? Basehealing is 100%, self healing is 50% of that speed, while CoH has +100% healing speed, ie 200% base speed. Its true that you miss those extra seconds for blessing the totem, but its a force multiplyer: every surv in the game runs back to the healing spot and is patched up and running again just a short time later, thats what makes CoH so frigging strong. And you cant shut it down, because they can just rebless it, so its way, way stronger then a Hex, which is gone for good, once 1 of 4 survs stumbles over it.

I cant wrap my head around why CoH has +100% healing speed AND can be reblessed an infinite amount. Why the double whammy?

  • I instadown and hook them, but obviously dont dwell on the matter and do it repeatedly. Its their loss for not paying attention and the survivors wouldn't stop doing gens if they discover an AFK killer, right?

  • @PlayTwink said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2694131#Comment_2694131

Self care lets you heal at 50% rate. Boon totem at 100%. It's not a worse self care. It'll be only useful for skilled solo q players, not broken SWF.

Boon totem heals at +100%, so its 50% vs 200%. While the proposal to only make boon usable by the owner might be a bit too much, I never understood why CoH gave two massive boni, ie free Selfheal AND +100% healing speed. I think even with a moderate +33% (the same as Botaby Knowledge) it would still have been a good perk, so +100% is just a no-brainer. The killer perk enduring once started at +75% stun resistance, and that was quickly deemed too strong and curbed down to 50% and I think the effect of CoH is much stronger then that and it should be nerfed on two fronts: curb down the healing bonus and make Boons destroyed, so setting one up is a tactical descision. Some people said "Yeah, lol, then I wouldn't use them anymore" and I think thats a good thing, because right now they are a no-brainer, if not everyone under all circumstances wants to use something, then its about right.

  • On this map you eat lots and lots AND lots of pallets. But once they are all gone, its so predictable and easy to find survivors, so its kinda balanced, I guess? I like it more then I hate it, but there are some aweful god-pallets and strong loops.

  • @Laluzi said:

I really enjoy playing against Bubba when he's not facecamping. He's strong but balanced and there's some plays you can make against him that don't work on other killers. He's a fantastic chaser and pallet eater who turns terrifying once the area's clean of resources; it's just that his basement playstyle attracts its own type of player between the low effort and skill and the salt it generates.

While you're right that survivors can't do a lot of cocky plays against him, good loopers can still thrash him if he doesn't bring Bamboozle. He doesn't handle windows well and he can still be bullied in some ways. It's just that he's also very, very good at bullying and he can turn the tables very fast when he gains the upper hand, and he's the best killer at putting his foot down and saying "you shall not pass."

I play him quite agreeably whenever I get a daily/want to get some face progress and also I noticed he gets BMed more than other killers. People will also often DC or kill themselves if I happen to put them in the basement, even if I have no intention on defending it and I've already demonstrably not played campy before that point.

I once had a game were I stumbled over my first survivor practically immediately. I saw her from a distance and vaguely walked over, found her hiding behind a bush and downed her, all within in the first 30s of the game. She then killed herself so fast on hook that no-one had time to come over for a save.

I felt a bit bad for that, but eh, that sometimes happens. Against most other killers we would at least have had a chase and some semblance of a fair chance, but this opener utterly crushed this survivors spirit. The rest of the game was, of course, rather killer-favored and I got reprimanded in the after game chat that I should have let them escape or something after that suicide-on-hook. I mean, I already play non-camping, but I won't go easy on ya just because one player got salty; same with DCs, thats sad, but not neither my doing, nore my problem.

  • I actually want a QoL buff on Bubba: when chainsawing, you are locked in a neutral hight POV and you have to wait for the full duration until you can look down and search for a survivor. It sometimes feels sooo frigging long till you can look down again, and survivors sometimes use this time to crawl away and into some pretty unintuitive places. So lemmy look down sooner :D

  • Bhvr don't want a ranked and unranked system, because it would further divide the player base ... well, most of us peeps here suspect that no one would actually wanna play ranked, because most peeps have a better time at unranked.

And just humble bragging a bit: I got my first Rank 1 Killer with some 60-70ish hours in the game, so you dont need thousands of hours of experience to get to the top of the ranking system. But of course, this people also exist, so you could be matched with them easily.

Imho Killers have a pretty tough time right now. Its not that I can't get good matches and some nice wins, but the survivor side got so meta, that you practiacally have to play like everyone has DH, BT and DS, with some boons sprinkled in, and most of the time you wont be wrong. Granted, Killers also have their meta perks, ie BBQ or Tinkerer, but they also have many more playstyles and you can do other builds and stay effective. You could probably do that as survivor, too, but I dont think I have seen anyone in Silver 1+ who didnt run at least two of the meta perks. And if things get so no-brainer, its usually a good sign that they are way stronger then the competion, ie the other perks.

  • The first day I got lots of funny interactions, snowman dancing around me and waving me goodbye at the exit gate. Now the snowmen are exclusively used as an asset during a chase, ie quickly jump in when I close and throw a coin that they get in fast enough and I have so clean my weapon while they run away.

BUT it IS a real event and I dont want to criticize that too much, as the effort counts; just give it a bit more thought next time and playtest this stuff, because it really feels like it wasnt.

  • Funny enough I just posted my own thread about my experience playing Bubba some 30+ games in the last couple of days. I took pains no to face-camp and roam the map, pressuring gens, and I still got plents of 3-4K, but also plenty of DCs, salt and insults.

The thing with Bubba is that he is essentially always dangerous, like a killer should be. You can't do all this "funny" "quirky" things like running circles around him and body blocking for ages and then escape when he wipes his blade clean, because you got no second health state to bank on against him, if he gets his chainsaw reved up, its game over man. And I think a lot of the better survivors have become so used to playing and toying with the killer, that they sorta don't respect him anymore. And this kinda tactics don't work with Bubba, its sorta like back in the beginning, when killers were this big, imposing, undefeatable monolith, and if cocky survivors get floored than its always the unfair killers kit, ie "nice face-camping", "lmao (BAD WORD) tunneling (BAD WORD)" and other niceties.

So I would wish for more killers to be this dangerous and to be able to put the fear back into the survivors, but I got no clue how. I just hope that cute, little Bubba won't be nerfed, I really like to play him every now and then and he is some easy farming. So when people say that you can't play him any other way then the face-camper, I call BS, because I was very successful with him roaming around. Of course some groups will slam gens so efficient that you got next to no chance, but even then you can get the occasional 1-2K or even more, if they get cocky with their rescue attempts.

I LOVE when you let survivors go and they INSIST on t-bagging you.

There is t-bagging and there is t-bagging. Context is important here: if a survivor is cornered, on death-hook and then freezes and t-bags a few times this normally means that he admits defeat and you can either slaughter him or show mercy. If they t-bag you after a vault or at the exit gate, that is just rude.

The thing is that we have very limited capacity to communicate with each other ingame, survivors can point and wave you over to them and maybe wiggle a noooo when downed, killers can just not kill their opponent or maybe nod or shake their head. So many other games have emotes and expand on them in events or through the ingame shop, so why werent emotes ever a part of dbd? It can't be an oversight, so it must be a conscious design decision.

  • Oh, and there was a sweat moment just a few days ago: the designated harasser flashlight clicked and poked at me at no end, and after each palet he tea-bagged me. So when I eventually got him hooked, I camped him out. Interestingly he stayed and spectated and commented on this in the AG-chat. My response: "you BM and teabag, you get facecamped. Easy as pie". That game I also let a survivor at the exit game escape, who was wounded and did the surrender tea-bagging.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

Is tunneling even real? It is just the killer's objective and probably a coincidence they did it so fast. Like the myth of genrushing. Am I right, fellas?

I also main killer and just occasionally play survs, but the times I got tunneld off the hook and on again, with literally no chance to escape (because at my smurf survivor level, no one plays BT), felt really bad and unfun. So I learned from this experience in an altruistic and empathic manner and nearly always go for the unhooker, instead for the unhooked person, no matter what perks are in play, and I dont feel like I make it that much harder for me, while improving everyones gaming experience.

Of course, there are the times where the gens are being slammed at an astronomic speed, and the designated harasser is flashlight clicking me non-stop in order to get my attention. If I get that harasser, you can bet that I tunnel him out of the game asap, without remorse.

  • @Pizzasauce said:

Literal "trash talk." I've been called trash twice. The first time, I probably deserved. I'm pretty sure I got someone off the hook then ran away, leaving them to die. The second time, just now, I was playing a new character (the Nurse) trying to get in a daily challenge. I did terrible. So yeah, maybe I did deserve it that time too. The difference between these two times was how I responded. The first time I responded with "Thanks" and he said "You're welcome" and then we were fine. The second one, I responded with "#########" and now my stomach hurts. I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere.

Same happened to me when I tried out Pyramid Head the second time: I just bought him and dis terrible and during the EGC downed one surv, that I then camped.

In the after-game-chat they decended on my like vultures: "Imagine being iri ranks and face-camp silvers", "get cancer, killer trash", ""God-killer got his (BAD WORD) handed to him by low-ranks" and they just wouldn`t stop wanking off that they soundly beat a "God killer" who also camped during EGC. I can somewhat undestand where they are coming from, but come on :D

Well, most players accuse you of all kind of things in the AG-chat, but I love reading the salt. Many don`t use the terms tunneling or camping in the right way; I mean, if you try to unhook someone 5s after I put them on the hook, do you expect me to look the other way? Nah, bruh.

And in todays DH and CoH saturated meta I have started using NOED again; not with every killer, but liberally enough, and boy oh boy, do people have a field day with you if NOED hands you an extra kill or even a 4K. My response is "yeah, but you could have just left, right? The exit doors were open."

Extra bonus points if you downed a healthy survivor with NOED who BMed you at the exit gate and just barely manage to pick him up. Thats always the sweetest of salt.

Didn’t it only just start? Pretty sure it’s still on.

What OP means is that most players got what they want, ie the free cosmetics and charms, and now no one goofs around anymore and its back to business. Sure, the snowmen are still there, but no one uses or respects them. Like, if it aint a nail-biting sweaty game, if someone jumps into a snowman, I will dance with them for a bit, hit them and let them run away, after that the game resumes at its normal pace, but I have also seen it a lot that killers will just whale on you, once you are walking around in a snowman costume.

There are no rules, and its very easy for everyone to get all the cosmetics and items, but when I see a survivor in a snowman costume at the exit gates, I will most likely let them walk out, if they didn't tried to give me an extra hard time during the trial.

Ah, well that's a silly oversight - among many other silly oversights in this event.

Camping is about as fun for the killer as it is for the survivors. Bubba is, unfortunately, sort of reliant on it because a lot of maps just sort of make his kit useless otherwise.

I dont know about that. I played about 20 matches with Bubba in the last few days, and I made it my mission to clean his face-camping name, ie I played by the survivors book: when I hook, I leave the area and roam around. Still got plenty of 2-4K games, its all in the skillz, you know? Know your killer and his power and you will find ample opportunities all around. One of the most satisfying Bubba things to too is sneaking up on a gen with Tinkerer and then let the chainsaw rip; thats where I got most of my downs .. oh, and in chases that arent directly around a single crate or something, the speed boost, once you finally reved that chainsaw up, isnt insignificant.

One game I even befriended a survivor: he was one of two remaining and after a chase after an unhooking, he hid in a corner, but I found him and loomed over him for 5s, shook my head and then left, searching for the other one. We then searched the hatch, when I dispateched the last survivor and he waved me good-bye before jumping in.

  • Trickster. I hate his power, I hate his outfit and look and I especially hate his smug manners and laughter. Grrr1

  • Every killer has their own add-ons, while all survivors share the same item pool, and don't differ at all, once the perks are unlocked.

I really wish that the survivors had more of an identity, besides being a unique skin. Maybe we could design a few unique items for everyone, so that the choice of a survivor matters?

Had a match as a killer, where all 4 survivors INSTANTLY run towards me and startet pointing at me and stuff like that.

Since that scared me (especially the Nea), i just run backwards and tried to get away to try to hide somewhere so i might survive that Night.

I was able to succesfully hide in a corner (i played Myers) and waited until the last gen popped.

After the game, all of them startet saying the worst things possible to me via Playstation chat.

They were seriously wishing me cancer and stuff like that because i didnt took the free kills they offered me at the beginning of the match. ;(

I guess you cant even just exist as a killer without doing anything wrong. :c

Oof. Everything was fun and let me chuckle, till they wished you cancer and verbally attacked you. What's wrong with this people?

That being said, I enjoy the chat and love to engage with toxic people there; that's the only way how you might educate one or two of them.

  • Yesterday I finally grinded "The Grind" achievement for Billy and I actually had a lot of fun with the deranged charger and had a few pretty good games, but I think that I prefer Bubbas playstyle of the two chainsaw killers, and I am a pretty roamy Bubba and don't camp.

Billy's mobility is cool, but Bubbas chainsaw is much more convenient to use. Also, Billy will be stopped by literally everything on the new map in his tracks, it just not fun to use.

  • Being a killer main, I must disagree on all accounts, you little baby! /s

Nah, of course you are right ... things often get overboard a lot, when tempers fly high, and some people made a good analysis of the situation at hand: if you play survivor, even if one or two get killed, if you escape you will still feel like you have won, because you survived, right? But if a killer gets 2K, he will still 95% get flashlight clicked, t-bagged and humiliated at the exit gate. Also, as a killer you face this whole situation alone, while naturally the survivors have camaraderie.

That being said, having played more survivor lately, because I have run out of most tome quests for killers, I have a newfound respect for survivors. Yes, I think that playing survivor is easier at the higher MMR then killer, just by the nature of it, and survivors have a lot of very strong tools at their disposal, but my survivor game is that much weaker then my killer game, and I die so easily to any competent killer :P

I also felt firsthand how ######### being tunneld feels, and I haven't done so myself evermore (well, besides once or twice when the surv was super disrespectful and even t-bagged after being unhooked). It really raises your empathy for the other sides plight if you play them for a while and try to break out of the low MMR ranks.

So, while I 100% think that the game is favoring the survivors way, way too much and that something should be done about DH and especially CoH, I wouldn't mind if all survs got BT in a non-offensive version as base kit. The lack of BT on low MMR survivors hurts the fun a lot, when you get tunneld a lot, because the baby killers are so helpless.

  • Clown is one of my most played Killers, too, and I sorta want to main him. His kit is very strong in loops and his huffing and puffing and laughts make him very enjoyable to play.

Against a real sweaty SWF group he has no chance, but against a normal team he can lead to some fun games. And if you just want to freak out use one of the invigorate increase add-ons plus the party bottles and throw a big foam party for everyone.

I queued for a game tonight and one of our patients needed a CPAP machine setup so they could breathe properly in their sleep. Unbeknownst to me, my que popped ultra fast and in no time I had three crows on me, and then I was downed.

You know what I did not do? Rage at the Killer.

You know what I DID do? Apologize to my team.

YOU are responsible for being active in the game. It is not their job to give you an exemption. Hell he let me get to 3 crows.

This is the right mindset! And you seem to have a cool job, of you can play while monitoring your patients :D

This isn't meant sarcastic in any way, I'm always happy when someone in our line of work can chill out like this.

  • I think that they try to curb too toxic communication between the people, but it somewhat falls short: toxic peeps will still fond ways to abuse you and you can't really give normal feedback. Words like "hard", "tunnel" or "Dwight" are all crossed out, for example.

Going into a thread and giving my opinion on the topic being discussed isn't derailing it. If you or anyone else has a problem with my posts, then feel free to ignore them.

Indeed, every view and opinion is valued in asserting the situation at hand, not just the ones confirming our biases. So keep going on.

  • I honestly have a hard time (without accusing anyone specific) believing all those "I play killer and survivors equally and I have no problem getting 4ks while playing casually".

Apparently it's just "SBMM doing its job". I guess that a lot of this people haven't really experienced the killers side in a meaningful way, besides doing a daily ritual here or there. Playing survivors a few days opened my eyes to how aweful real tunneling feels. But really aweful SWF stomp groups won't show up just at the casual low ranks.

Sorry if this comes over as entitled or salty, for I am not salty at all.

That is a range of 0 and 100... average 50 - so the system works perfect.

The human factor - you - is irrelevant...

Oof. This dude math's and is in the know. But he got a point.
