The only one that is potentially relevant is Ghostface because the Survivor can potentially knock then out of Stealth. With Wraith and Pig, the Survivor has nothing.
Except Pig needs to enter crouch and become slower with a slower attack, and I don't believe INSTANTLY removes her terror radius? Wraith has to cloak in advance, which then puts himself at a disadvantage by not being able to hit anyone until fully uncloaking again.

There is no inconsistency as far as Borrowed Time is concerned. It only works within the Killer's Terror Radius. All the Stealth Killers can shut off their TR one way or another, and being in the Dream World gives the Survivor Oblivious, which makes it count as though they are not in the Killer's TR.

In all of those examples (except EW1 Myers), the Killer can just do what they normally do. Pig crouches until they are unhooked so BT never triggers or crouches after triggering BT to run the timer down, Wraith stays cloaked until the unhook so BT never triggers or cloaks after triggering BT to run the timer down, Ghostface either stays in Night Shroud until the unhook so BT never triggers or goes into Night Shroud after BT to run the timer down, and Freddy either attacks the unhooker before the unhook so BT never triggers or attacks the unhooked to proc BT and run the timer down. The point is that BT is ineffective against all of those Killers.
All of these killers have downsides to doing this... except Freddy.

Removed all his synergy because he was the only one to have a basic attack as his ability...so dumb.
I'm pretty certain the devs are just trying to make the term 'basic attack' more consistent in the game, seeing as they're adding more and more perks and mechanics based off of them.
They're pretty undefined, like sure Legion's Frenzy hits look like them but they don't work like them mechanically. They apply Deep Wounds and can't down anybody.

It's his best build by far. And BHVR nerfed it to equal his power to killers like Demo and Huntress. Sure, you can put Shadowborn and Bloodhound on him and call it a build, but it's trash after all.
Idk what you mean w/ the Demo and Huntress comparison? But you intentionally picked 2 weaker perks lol, plenty more good perks for him like Ruin, BBQ, PGTW, Discordance, Corrupt Intervention, Thana etc.
...also we should stop now, we've derailed this thread enough lul.
-
@FriendlyGuy He is worse with those perks, but people act like that's his only build. It's not. I play him a lot since the rework too and I've never even used the build lol.

I know that it's strong, but bloodlusting takes a while. How can legion be good in ANY way without this build?
Doesn't matter if it's strong or not, it's the lack of counterplay from the survivor that's the problem. Just because you think he's bad doesn't mean he deserves to have 0 counterplay mechanics on his side.
Also no one mentions this at all, but the Legion speed and vault buffs are decent. He feels so much smoother in Frenzy with them.
-
Ye I don't like how it works with Freddy rn. Feels unintuitive and cheap.
-
Before the stats I saw a lot of people complain about Swing Chains + Red Paint Brush Freddy being really boring and obnoxious.
For me my 1 complaint about him before the stats was that he just kinda gets to counter Borrowed Time for free since the Undetectable status effect was added. For stealth killers it makes sense to me, but on Freddy it just feels cheap.

Then why could my friend playing as Myers not hit me (playing as Jeff) no matter how much we hugged over the fence?
Wait has it been changed?
-
Because they have arms? It's the exact same as windows, just don't hug the fence if they're on the other side.
It's always been a thing.
-
I mean... M&A does actually combo with Prayer Beads tho', when not in chase.
-
I mean, all the addons and offerings make sense with the backstory.
It's just a strange backstory you don't see everyday lmao.
-
This is bizarre.
-
I think a Slenderman or FNAF killer would be awful, I would really not want them to be in the game ever.
-
These are pretty god damn mean lmao, maybe too much so. Cruel Limits feels like it would be too unfun for survivors, like someone pops a gen right as you're about to vault and kills you.
Mindbreaker could just be too good on Plague.
And I actually don't want Surge changed, I weirdly really like it for some reason. I like there being a perk that focuses more on basic killers, as top tier killers usually use every perk way better than M1 killers. Could potentially use a small numbers buff though.

You even try that, then we're all switching to black trenchcoat Adam.
Hmmm... seems we've reached an impasse.
Well played.

I'm not in the position to look it up, but it should be on YT somewhere. I think Ardetha made a tutorial on that and V Synch iirc.
Can't find anything of the sort, you might be remembering wrong.
Pretty sure the issue is just with how the game detects hits in general, so it would be impossible to turn it off with any options.

Or as a survivor swinging out of the cone detection range, but auto aim says "nah bro I got you"

Oh i thought it was a thing to help console players.
Unless it's even worse on console, no. It's just their bad and awkward form of hit detection that likes to fail (especially w/ dedicated servers).
-
Remove it on PC whilst you're at it
pls and ty BHVR
-
I love everything about Demogorgon's balance rn, but his addons are so insanely boring. Shred addons are way cooler and more interesting/interactive. I pretty much just use brown ones for faster portal placement, faster movement speed whilst holding Shred, faster Shred cooldown etc.
-
I mean to me you've nailed the most obnoxious ones. False grabs, false hits, nonsense killer hits, and I don't use Dead Hard but I certainly believe you about that one too.
I mainly play killer, and I came back to the game recently when the Rift was added after not playing for a few months, and boi do dedicated servers lead to a LOT more false hits due to autoaim where it just cuts your lunge short because it thinks you hit. It's very annoying.
Also there are killer-specific bugs from dedicated servers too, such as:
- Trapper stepping in the trap that he just set if he steps forward
- Myers' stalk regressing
- Wraith getting stunned in cloak, getting the stun but not actually uncloaking
- And Huntress hatchets in general just being pretty bad, I feel like it's way more common for a hatchet to hit that looks like it missed
I really hope a ton of this is stuff that can be ironed out.
-
Blendettes should be banned for life.
-
Yeah these ideas aren't bad.
Maybe the Very Rare purple key should just allow the guy who used it to escape, and the Skeleton Key be the same.
Either way I agree both of these things are unfun, or at least very one sided fun.
-
no it's yours :)
-
This perk aside, I agree they need to stop slapping cooldowns on literally everything. They're using that to balanced EVERYTHING nowadays lol.
-
Poll 4 is the best by miles, how do any others even have votes?
-
Close the gap w/ Frenzy, and sometimes in certain situations you can bodyblock whilst in fatigue once you've let enough time by for them to gain collision w/ you again. Like an important pallet or window.

@RakimSockem was half right. It is meant to prevent last second character switches. Or rather, it's meant to prevent people from switching character or equipping an item and then instantly readying up before the killer has time to react. Unfortunately, it only half succeeds in this, since people can still change anything they like right before the five second mark to achieve the same effect.
It doesn't half-succeed in anything though, you can still do anything in the last 10 seconds.
All it does is waste time.
-
As survivor ebonys are just dumb and blatantly overpowered.
As killer I pretty much hate the map design in general, probably my least favourite aspect of DBD. Only enjoy a handful of maps.
-
I think it should still be manual, but not as obnoxious as it currently is. Yes I know it's meant to be you 'struggling' or whatever but I don't think it matters, an intentionally annoying mechanic sucks and shouldn't be a thing. Just make it something you have to do every few seconds, but is easy. Like ultra easy skillchecks. Or just be holding a button, idk.
I think this mechanic can absolutely be improved whilst still requiring it to be manual.

what? now they're nerfing ds? seriously?? will they ever stop with the unnecessary nerfs? i don't know what to say anymore, except that this game is becoming less and less enjoyable. soon there's no point playing survivor anymore. i wonder what they're gonna nerf next.. hmm. adrenaline? dead hard? or maybe they're just gonna take away the survivors ability to run? or maybe in next update survivors start the trial in hooks?
They have no plans to nerf it right now. You can calm your rhetoric down.

Needs some mobility similar to freddys teleport.
Even though mobility's great, not every single killer should excel in it. And it's way out of the Clown's theme to go fast lol.
His bottles should just be buffed possibly, like adding an incentive to hit direct bottles that's not just increased vision blur.

Piggy and sp00ky Scratched Mirror Myers got me this challenge done.

I'm honestly shaking my head after reading this nonsense. I think I need to go wash my brain with some good Billy games after this.
He's not saying Billy is bad lol. He just gets one of the worst Chaser.
-

"Yeah she doesn’t pip easily but neither does Billy."
Hooooooooly #########. Man I miss the LOL reaction soooooooo much.
Yeah no. You can't convince something that has a negative IQ score.
What did he say that's so ridiculous...?
Billy is bad at pipping, instadowns give you literally half the amount of chaser as hitting people twice. If you're good at him your Chaser emblem will almost always be trash.

Not a very efficient playstyle lol
It works.
I agree that Freddy's probably the easiest-to-play-yet-strong killer. Honestly though just try a bunch of different killers and see who you like to play the most, I wouldn't worry too much about 'oh god a SWF I gotta play x killer only!'.

Yeah, I do, I don't personally see why breasts are sexualised as much as they are but that might just be because I'm gay. Please don't insinuate that I'm perverted just because I believe that it would be cool to have a shirtless cosmetic for a female character.
Sorry, I had to assume lol. Despite your views on breasts it's still considered nudity by the majority, they would never do something like that.
-
You think it would be 'cool', huh?
-
I've wanted personal stats for so long.
Seeing my individual kill rate with each killer would be super interesting, stuff like that.
-
Unless I'm mistaken, it has the most pallets of any map in the game!
-
That's really not in the theme of the Clown lol.
I would prefer stuff like getting rewarded for hitting a survivor directly with a bottle, maybe slowing the survivor down even more or something.
-
I mean you basically already know the great Clown perks.
I'm not running Ruin right now purely because I'm too bored of it, but my build was BBQ, Ruin, Brutal Strength and STBFL.
Speeding up the Clowns actions whilst slowing down the survivor's is a really useful combo in catching people faster. When you've got decent STBFL stacks it's pretty damn efficient to bottle them then hit them so they get the absolute least distance possible.
PGTW is always a great perk too.
-
As a non-American I REFUSE to take part in your heathen holiday.
...but I am thankful for the aesthetic designs of the killers in this game, they always look absolutely fantastic and I love the variety we have now. Also some of the recent focus on sound design is great, like Demogorgon and Oni sound amazing and have their own unique terror radius + chase themes.
-
Yeah the whole 'viable' and 'not viable' thing is just kinda nonsense in this game, doesn't really have any agreed upon definition.
Doesn't matter what rank you are, you can do good with any killer.
-
Servers have had knock-on negative effects for a good few killers from what I've seen, here are the ones I've noticed.
- Myers' stalk bar regressing, and it being more difficult to stalk in general.
- Trapper being able to instantly step in traps he just placed.
- Wraith, when getting stunned from cloak, going through the full long stun animation and yet not uncloaking.
- Huntress hatchets sometimes visually landing (hatchet explodes and blood flies out) yet not actually hitting.
So ye dedicated servers came with a fair few problems for specific killers.
-
Ofc, he's Jason! He's the only super iconic slasher killer missing now.
-
Ehh, I dunno. On one hand I totally understand you and a lot of DC's are for pathetic reasons by li'l babas that can't handle not winning.
On the other hand though, if someone picks IH Huntress or Prayer Beads Spirit with a mori and then survivors DC, I'm reeeeally not gonna go 'say whaaaaat? No way! But this match will be so much fun?!'
-
Favourite:
Survivor - Head On 😈
Killer - Surge. Love how passive it is, and feels very satisfying to me.
Hated:
Survivor - Object of Obsession. Even though they buffed stealth killers against it, to me this perk is just obnoxious and usually used by obnoxious players.
Killer - NOED. Cheap perk that gives cheap kills to under-performing killers, not much else to say.
