  • This is the greatest story that's come out of these forums so far. I'd give that Pig player props for having such an insane level of pettiness. That takes dedication and I can respect that.

  • Is everything a tech now? I'm actually crying at this holy ######### it's such a dumb thing to ask if it's bannable. The survivors would've got out anyway even if this pointing thing actually does anything

No, shack shouldn’t be the exception.

    It’s the killer shack.

    Killer. Shack.

It should be DANGEROUS for survivors there.

Not (as another forum user said in a post earlier today) a survivor Vacation Station.

Shack isn't even a super strong structure though? Shouldn't take you more than 15 to 20 seconds tops to force them to throw the pallet down. Demo, Huntress, Nurse, Spirit, Clown and now Deathslinger don't give a ######### about shack either

  • Excuse me, his name is actually Wilson. Bird up stays. You could also just mute the game, tab out etc until you get into a match, it's not rocket science. It's a quieter and better noise than listening to the slammy boi go mental every 10 seconds on the loading screen.

  • For the most part tunnelling happens when the unhooker immediately runs off and hides, leaving the one who just got off the hook defenseless since there's nothing they can really do. They can't hide because they're injured and they probably won't be able to get healed for a while. Then the killer gets called a tunneller because they had no information about any other survivor so they're forced to go for them again. Usually when I get tunnelled it's the other survivor's fault (Even though I don't dislike getting tunnelled, I'd rather be in chases all game than healing and doing gens. I just hate doing it when I'm in this situation as killer all because the other people on the tunnelled survivor's team are dumbasses.)

  • He's fun to play, and right now fun to play against. Guarantee he will not be the latter soon once people learn what to do with him. Imo he's a very average killer. Excels in chases but has 0 map pressure or snowball potential, and those are kinda the 2 things you need as a killer right now. He'll end chases quickly but he won't be doing much else.

I'm going to disagree with you here, there's various clues for both sides, e.g. crows, scratches, etc. Yes, to a certain degree there is guess work, but that's the same with any killer and good loops. It's called mind-gaming, you make an educated guess as to what the other player is going to do and play against that. Just because it's a guess doesn't mean it's not fair, nor does it mean the odds can't be manipulated in your favour.

It's not a mind-game if you have no idea how the Spirit plays. If you have iron will and the spirit doesn't have stridor you have one chance to not get hit by her. Then she'll do it again. "mindgames" don't work in a game like this and a killer like Spirit that gives you absolutely nothing to go off. If you played against the same Spirit multiple times, and you know you were playing against the same Spirit, you had iron will, they didn't have stridor, you could probably make an argument for it. But since you're almost never gonna run into the same person multiple times in a row with the same perks there isn't a real way of knowing what to do against her. This kind of logic works in a fighting game but not for DbD since this game isn't balanced for that kind of back-and-forth in the slightest.

As for the 2nd comment about the grass moving and crows I'm actually not sure if you can see them. If I test it or I find a video of it I'll let you know but I swear you can't see anything of that kind. Like I said, if you could I wouldn't be complaining about her all day.

  • Eat a DS? You mean pick up a survivor and lose all your pressure as killer by having a survivor slugged on the ground? I'd love to!

  • As long as they're removing the breakable wall at shack I'm fine with it.

Seriously that breakable wall was so dumb and I hope it's gone. If it isn't I'm still not gonna break it out of spite.

  • If I know Myers has a tombstone you bet your entire life earnings that I'm t-bagging the living ######### out of him until he's fully stalked me.

I assert dominance even in the face of certain death.

  • I most definitely play more killer now. Solo queueing as survivor is so painful so whenever I play survivor it's with at least one other person. It's not the fact that it's easier or anything it's just less boring and more chill to play with friends. It's also good to do dumb ######### and go for more interesting plays when you're playing with people you know.

  • Or just change the way you play? Because it's clearly not working out for you on other killers except Freddy. Just know that against a good team if you don't slug at least a little bit winning becomes impossible. It's definitely still possible to win, play Nurse or Spirit if you care this much about getting a 4k every single time.

  • You played in an irritating way, but it's not toxic. Everyone likes to throw that word around. If you like playing like that go ahead you're in your full rights to do so. I'm also not too convinced the killer was rank 1. Unless he was carried by Freddy or got lucky and had a bunch of really good games before that there's no way he wouldn't have been able to handle a rank 1 and 3 rank 20s on Hawkins of all maps. Unless your friends really aren't as bad as you say they are. I'm not trying to offend anyone here I'm just curious, I know object is dumb against Freddy because oblivious but he shouldn't have had any problems getting your teammates.

Yep, swf pretty much ruined the game. There's no more skill involved in any ranks, besides the 1v1 aspect, which wasn't even meant to ever be. In swf everything is known to everyone, so there's literally zero mind game throughout the trial. Not only that but swf are extremely sweaty. Toolboxes, flashlights, keys, DS, BT, DH, Adrenacuck, etc. Every swf treats the game as if it were a COD tournament and gets pissy if the killer takes advantage of their mistakes. They're responsible for the toxicity (them and Ochido). They bring the most crutch perks (most of which cant even be countered and the ones that can be, have risks, so either way, it hurts the killer and puts no pressure on the survivors) and items, yet if a killer tunnels, then he's the toxic try hard. Casual play styles from swf is gone. No such thing as casual swf anymore, either they try to bully inexperienced killers, or they just focus on gen rushing casual killers and avoid survivor-killer interaction at all costs. But according to the majority of the community, this is perfectly balanced.

Every single SWF sweat? Every single one? Not a single SWF group just play for fun and to mess around? Where are you playing because everybody on here talk about these infamous death squads and I havent seen more than maybe 2 or 3 of them in the entire time I've been playing. Sounds like you've lost one too many times and can't blame anything else but the survivors. Usually the "bully groups" you see are altruistic as hell and just want to mess around. Guarantee that most of these groups will get themselves killed because, get this, it's more fun to do dumb things with your friends than it is to hold M1 on a gen.

The last Claudette just screams: "I have OoO and I'm not gonna allow you to catch me, stupid M1 killer!"

Ah I see you have had run-ins with the Helldettes...

    These are horribly average outfits:

    And these are perfection:

  • Catastrophic engravings sounds so cheesy I love it. Tuning guide just needs to be completey changed imo, removing the bump into object factor from it doesn't do anything to the addon.

  • Kill all blendettes on sight. Fashionable Claudettes are cool though.

Ace players have a massive dick and are usually the best players. Same goes for Neas.

I don't see nearly enough Lauries.

    Megs and Nancies are adorable.

Dwights are interesting. They're either complete babies or godlike and there's no in-between.

  • I still want to see a totem counter implemented, so you at least know for sure that NOED won't activate, instead of hoping and praying that you and the other three survivors did all the totems, and so does the killer. I wouldn't mind the perk if that was the case, instead you just get hit by NOED out of nowhere because there's no realistic way to play around it when it gets to that point and the killer is near you. Either a totem counter or just have it show up as exposed the moment the last gen goes and I wouldn't mind the perk at all. That way there's at least some information given to the survivors.

I know that dream snare is stronger but I'm really bad at using it and I love to use dream pallet with Enduring + Spirit Fury combo.(Even survivor can reach to the real pallet, I still can make it suddenly disappear like a dream pallet)

    So I prefer dream pallet.

I didn't think you could be bad at using dream snares...it's the most intuitive and easy to use ability in the game lol

  • Alert and babysitter. Alert is good for knowing where the killer is, what pallets are being broken so I know that a certain area of the map is a death wish just by using that perk and paying attention. Babysitter is good for the memes mostly, but I'll consider running it if I experience a lot of tunnelling.

Also small game because literally everybody and their mother is using NOED now (NOED was in 11 out of 14 of my survivor games last night. Majority of them were red and purple rank killers too)

I would say make an ultra rare that corrupts a cleansing pool every full minute that at least one survivor is infected. This will encourage them to cleanse and heal while they can before they run out of pools. (The pools reset if they all become corrupted, don’t they? Either way, survivors that don’t cleanse will always have to contend with “power puke”!)

The plague automatically gets her power if the last pool is used to cleanse. There's always one noncorrupt fountain

It’s actually 6 seconds 😆😆🤣 and the first 3 are you fatigued and your base movement speed is slower 😂🤣😆😆 and the survivor will get farther away as you have to wait for all your blinks to come back 🤣😂😆😆 I think you should go play nurse and see his frustrating it is without addons 😂🤣😆😆😆

I think the cooldown is perfectly fine without add-ons. The extra cooldown will take you maybe, what, 10 more seconds at most to down someone? The things that aren't fine are the endless amount of bugs plaguing her and she's getting worse with each patch.

  • Sadly it really do be like that sometimes if the map is that awful with the RNG. Brutal strength helps a tiny bit. Faking a pallet break also works way more than it should. A lot of survivors just run without thought after they drop a pallet.

  • On PC it's doing really well and will continue to do so for at least another year. Hopefully the new resident evil multiplayer game takes off, this game really needs some competition. It would force the Devs to actually improve this game and make changes that would benefit the player base. Competition only improves games and this one doesn't have any right now.

  • Idk what else you'd want about Wraith other than he desperately needs a buff. Yellow windstorm as base kit when... Literally everybody's been asking for a buff for him for the past 2 years because without a windstorm add-on he's abysmal. He's basically Man With Stick without it because he's so slow. Even with add-ons he's not good at all but he's passable. If you get a quick down he can be alright, he excels at the "Down, hook, repeat" formula.

  • That'd be pretty funny and I wouldn't mind that being a thing. It would also make him a bit better. But at the same time it would be impossible to pallet save against him.

  • Bubba's a bad killer but he still tries his best, bless his heart. He can be decent with the PWYF build though but at that point why don't you just play hillbilly it's virtually the same thing lol

  • You need 2 people to get someone off the hook against a facecamping Doctor, it's super easy: one person is behind or out of range of the shock therapy while the other one is the bait. If you do it right he can't shock both of you and it's an easy unhook.

  • @Groxiverde said:

Are you a ps4 gamer? I've heard that in ps4 he is very hard to control.

He shouldn't be. Oni should be fine on console now.

  • Ormond or one of the coldwind maps. Ormond is just a giant loop around the outside with a really strong central structure, and the coldwind maps are self-explanatory. Literally no killer is good on a coldwind map, they all suck. Ironworks, suffocation pit and Haddonfield get honourable mentions imo

  • If fixated worked while you were injured I'd like it more. It's still a nice perk to just throw on from time to time. The extra walking speed is a nice QoL thing.

  • Literally who cares lmao. The more BP the better

  • Equal power to that is probably like Spirit with a Mori and green and purple add-ons. If you want to have a chance against something like that you need to bring a killer and add-ons of equal power, simple as that.

  • @Mr_K said:

Time to nerf Freddy, killers are playing him too much.

I'd be all for that...he's so boring and formulaic. He's incredibly boring to actually play too.

  • She's still great, maybe even the best, but there's literally no point to playing her when Billy, spirit, Oni etc exist and can do her job as a high tier killer with comparatively no effort. The endless amount of bugs she has make her miserable to play.

  • I'm confused with your list. Are the ones that are lined out the killers you don't want? So the only killers you're looking at getting are Deathslinger,. GhostFace, Plague and Doctor? Well you can't buy GhostFace with shards so you're left with 3 options.

Slinger's alright. He might be getting some buffs when he comes out so he'll be even better to play as.

Plague is probably the best out of the 3. With the right situations it's pretty easy to snowball a match out and her corrupt purge is fun to use. She's also getting a buff that'll give her one corrupt fountain by default. She's also not very reliant on add-ons like a many other killers.

Doctor is just fine. He's very fun and intuitive to play now and probably is better than Deathslinger. Personally I'd go with Doctor but it's up to you and how you play.

Well, can't blink through some thin walls, getting stuck on nothing, lunge problems, can't blink through some rocks, the double stun bug, it's so hard blinking upstairs, full charging a blink and you just teleport 2 meters, on some maps you just cant play her because of these bugs.

There's also the bug that can kill your second blink for the rest of the match. Very fun bug rate it 10/10

Spine Chill doesn't tell you where the Killer is coming from just that they're coming.

You still have to look around. If you just rely on Spine Chill and don't pay attention sometimes you'll walk right into the Killer

Most of the time you'll know exactly where they're coming from based on the map and where you currently are on the map. I personally just don't like the perk anymore. It made me play a more boring playstyle and it took away a lot of the fun.

  • We're reaching new levels of pettiness here that I didn't think we're possible

  • No. Their only similarities are movement speed and ability to hit survivors over loops and shut several loops down (albeit Deathslinger can be kinda bad at that last thing) the difference is Huntress can be a long ranged killer, and Deathslinger is not a ranged killer at all

  • You're sort of right, but I find it very boring to use. I'm looking at a perk at all times to know when a killer is coming instead of looking at my surroundings. It makes it a very brain-dead experience, more than it is already, to work on gens imo.

  • He just wants to show the survivor what his chainsaw looks like up close, let him do his thing, it makes him happy. You should feel blessed to get facecamped by such a divine being.

  • I can guarantee that a facecamping killer will not give the slightest of ######### about losing a couple thousand bloodpoints.

  • I'm this close to levelling up Tapp next purely for NOED. Small game works but on maps like the game and Preschool it can be kind of misleading with where the totem is. I'm only considering doing this because every single survivor game tonight was against a killer with NOED and I wish I was joking but I'm not. Seems like the perk of the week right now...

  • I don't mind people sweating it out, bringing NOED etc. If they want to do that they're in their full right to do so. You rarely see people play fair in a a fighting game because why ever give your opponent a fair chance? That kind of mindset can VERY EASILY transfer to DbD since as a killer you have a lot of power over how much a certain survivor will get to interact with the game. You are right. You don't need to, but at the same time there's nothing stopping you from playing a certain way. I don't do it but I can see why someone would. If winning is the only thing that's fun for them, then sweating it out and bringing all the things would increase their chances of winning.

  • It can go both ways. It depends on way too many factors whether a match is easy or hard for a killer, and honestly at this point who cares when matches are so fast you don't even have time to consider all of the different factors.

I'm just gonna edit this in before a select few people jump down my throat: I'm NOT saying it's only the survivors making the game last 5 minutes, it's just how killers and survivors play now that make the game only last that long.

What about watching for the grass to track movements (for both sides)?

You can't see the grass move as a survivor. If you were able to I wouldn't be complaining. That would be more than enough info for a survivor to make a somewhat educated play when she enters phase. You can hear the grass when you're close but at that point she hears your breathing, footsteps, moans and also sees the grass move so you're gonna get hit anyway.
