Actually I just have to hide in different lockers and let my teammates die. I dont have to do any gens(my objective) and can still escape with a key.

The killer has won at that point so it's not really a big deal if the last survivor escapes via hatch.

  • They need to buff him before I consider getting him. Right now he's just a bad Huntress, there's little reason to play deathslinger over Huntress if you want a good ranged killer. His perks aren't good enough to me to warrant a purchase either.

  • No, the perk is very very strong. When was the last time good survivors cared in any way about being injured for a long time when perks like dead hard, resilience, unbreakable exist? Being able to instantly transfer your health state to another survivor who might be on death hook, for example, might be a little too good.

Interesting. Wonder if this will help killers deal with bad map design.

Still, knowing the devs it probably isn't as good as we think.

They'll likely be in very obvious locations...locations that should have a door or opening in the first place so yeah it will deal with bad map design, they put in the breakable walls and then you have to finish the job for them in-game lol

  • The traps aren't meant to kill survivors. And you should have used up all of her traps before the last gen pops anyway. They're there as a slowdown mechanic, not a kill mechanic. Although I think you should die if you try to escape via hatch, it is pretty dumb that you don't

  • He's a bad version of Huntress. I don't think he'll bring new hope to beginner killers since he is kinda tricky to use well. His power doesn't warrant a 110% move speed which is really hurting him.

Cant he pull to keep them in the window and hit them through it?

He can yeah but only if you're close enough I'm guessing. If you're not then they're just gonna break free before you can hit them. Haven't played him much so I'm not too sure about the timings for it yet but that seems to be ok for him. He should definitely be able to deal with pallets the same way or in a different way though. He would actually be a threat then, and could punish people camping pallets like Huntress can.

I would also like him to be 115% but knowing BHVR they would also increase his TR if they did increase his speed

I wouldn't mind his TR being 32m because it would make sense with the added move speed. I'd be completely fine with that since he'd actually have some speed to him.

  • Agreed. My idea would be to allow him to pull survivors over dropped pallets and through windows. Not only would this be hilarious it would give him some actual way of countering loops, because right now you just throw the pallet early and there's nothing he can do. This, or make him 115% movement speed.

Well he has insane chase potential. That alone is good enough map pressure to be high mid tier. Downing survivors fast gives you map pressure cause they have to get off gens

Where is this "insane" chase potential? You throw down a pallet or vault a window and his power becomes useless. Out in the open, sure it's a free down but that's the same with every killer. He's nowhere near Huntress-level and his power isn't good enough to warrant a 110% movement speed. Now, if he were able to drag people over pallets and through windows I think he'd be as good as if not better than Huntress at chasing but I doubt they'll make that a thing even though he needs something like that. That, or just make him 115% and he can deal with loops the same way every other basic mobility killer can.

edit: Think I'll just add this here but he's definitely not a bad killer, he just isn't that good, or as good as Huntress and won't be until he gets some buffs

  • More bait, very nice, very nice. Keep it up. If this isn't bait you just need to stop playing this game because holy ######### you will never be happy again of you think about the game like this.

the sabo change will be very strong with sabo teams resilience, Saboteur, Unbreakable,ds with Alexis toolbox with sabo addons will be strong so I can see it being easy to bully in swf

It might be annoying for the killer, but if everyone's trying to be sabo gods, nobody's doing gens so honestly who cares? And there are a lot more ways to "bully" killers as a SWF team. I'd MUCH prefer playing against sabo players than Marth's depip squad for example.

  • I don't think it is. As much as I love cabin in the Woods, and DbD is definitely heavily inspired by it, I think it's going to be another original character or a Hellraiser chapter.

  • Maybe for survivors, but not for killers. There's just some things that you don't need numbers for and this would be one of those things. As a killer you should be managing hooks. Who you've hooked before, how many times etc. It's part of playing killer and you really don't need a counter to tell you how many times you've hooked someone. That's just a little too much handholding imo and could probably prove to be more of a problem than a good thing.

once again you're missing the point, it's not how powerful the plague is It's how annoying and unfundshe is to play and play against. Yes she has counter play, yes she isn't the best killer but she's also not the worst, the problem is is that it's just not fun to play against!

Once again it's subjective. I think she's fun. There are people who enjoy playing against Spirit and Clown. And there's not much in this game that's equally fun to both sides in the first place so I don't see why you'd single out Plague like this other than she just had a buff announced.

  • I'm so glad people are still jumping to conclusions about mechanics and features that they have literally not had the chance to even see in action yet...

  • Honestly Plague is fine. She doesn't have anything to help her at loops so if you know how to loop then you just have to play it as you would but safer. Don't sit on gens if you hear the heartbeat, always know where good windows and tiles are etc....basic stuff. That's all you need against Plague. I also don't mind being broken since I usually run dead hard, resilience and empathy/kindred so it works out in my favour more than it does for the Plague player. And she is fun to play imo, if she's not for you then that's fine, just know that your statement about the plague not being fun is subjective and not applicable to the entire community.

  • You're getting a bit ahead of yourself with some of those things, especially the Trapper buffs. They're definitely not "major" buffs but they are certainly nice and it's a good step on the right direction to making Trapper actually viable. He still needs many more changes before he's good but we'll see if they take any of the ideas people have been constantly asking for on board just like the resetting traps idea (such as starting with all traps...hint hint"

  • 99ing an item was just tedious. It's not "removing some of the skill" when there was no skill to it in the first place, it's removing something that was annoying and replacing it with a good QoL feature.

  • BBQ is by far his best perk. Infectious is probably his 2nd best so you do want to get Plague if you want to snowball a game out which happens a lot when survivors are really bad. Whispers, I'm All Ears and enduring are also good choices. Billy doesn't really need any slowdown perks but if you really wanted to use one then Pop is probably your best bet.

  • If I see a killer slugging for a 4k and I'm on the ground I just go afk, watch a video or nake a coffee. Much better than staring at my lifeless body on the ground for 4 minutes, it's not like there's any chance of winning once there's 2 people left and 1 person is constantly slugged

  • The only way to combat it is to just wait until they do something. You can't hit the person doing it I'd they do it correctly, no matter how many idiots say you can. Try it against someone who does it correctly, you can't hit them. So annoying that a certain someone on YouTube popularised it then everyone and their mother wanted to do it so they can put it into a montage. It's sad. Thankfully they're working on a fix for it soon, hopefully in the next chapter?

  • Just gonna nitpick here, but your comment about keys is just wrong. Survivors have to do gens to spawn the hatch. It's not a free escape with 0 effort. If all 4 survivors want to escape via the hatch they'd have to do all the gens, basically 100 Percent of their objective. If the killer wanted to kill everyone with a Mori they only need 4 hooks, or a third of their objective... it's objectively easier and less effort to Mori everyone than it is to use a key.

  • The only 2 things I can think of that Demo needs is less clunky portal placements. There are so many spots where a portal would be great and it just doesn't let you put it there because collision. Make it more lenient on where you can place portals.

The other thing is to remove a lot of the map-wide sound effects. He has sounds effects for almost everything he does. At the very least get rid of the sounds effects when he attacks because it's just not necessary, and gives survivors way too much info.

  • So survivors screwing around and playing with meme perks is now toxic? And you're insulting and belittling them for trying to have fun? Nice. You won the match, why do you still feel the need to rub it in? What's the point?

  • The majority of Pig players I've come across are the tunnelling kind. Come to think of it I think the only good pig player I've played against is Scorpionz. The others were the tunnelling piggies or ones that weren't that great. Anyway, I don't mind pig matches. I feel like the traps could be changed to be more consistent in their function of slowing down the game but other than that she's a pretty solid killer. Her crouch and ambush are fun for mindgames and I don't feel cheated when I go down to a Pig, they genuinely outplayed me and that's fine by me.

  • Welcome to dedicated servers bud. Enjoy your stay.

  • Survivor? Dead hard is the most annoying and broken perk, 100% because dead Harding for distance exists. Yay for completely uncounterable perks...object is up there too

For killer I'd say bamboozle or any of Spirit's perks apart from haunted grounds. Rancor is just a really horribly designed perk and should be removed from the game tbh (everything about Spirit should too but that's a rant for another day lmao). Basically one survivor gets ignored most of the match, only to have them be revealed to the killer after all gens have been completed and exposed+mori-able. They basically get punished for existing.

Just balance slugging and No ED so they're fun to play against and I'm happy.

    Not asking for too much

You're asking for slugging to be balanced to be fun to play AGAINST. You've not once thought about what it's like for the other side. Killers don't want to slug all day and run NOED but a lot of them are running out of options and feel this is the best way to adapt and cope with the recent changes. It's really rough to play killer as it is and if you don't slug, you don't have pressure, therefore you lose. It's really that simple. This is how the game is played now and until BHVR do something to actually help killers instead of run them into the ground even more...you'll just have to deal with it I'm afraid.

  • I used breakout very recently and it actually worked...once. I was also playing with my friends so I could actually coordinate it and make it work. I think for it to be a good perk, the range to activate needs to be buffed. 6m is nothing. Imo it should be around 10 or 12.

  • A few killers have become very insecure because of the latest changes and are hardcore camping out of spite. There's not much you can do about it only pray that you don't get a killer like that, or you're not their only victim

  • ..ok you have to be a bait account, there's no way you're not at this point lmao.

  • @Elik said:

I know dead hard is getting some hate right now because of servers but this perk is still very broken because how do you counter someone dead harding for distance to a pallet or window? I also know it's useless when in an open field so it's a bit of a problem. It's either the best exhaustion perk or the worst. What do you guys think? Do you play it? Do you think it's fair?

Yep I'm in the same boat. Absolutely love outplaying a survivor only to have them hit a button and suddenly I'm the one who got outplayed because they had dead hard and could get to a window or pallet with it. Literally nothing you can do against it if you're an M1 killer.

So....even mori spamming doesn't give you a justified reason to DC? Being body blocked in a corner with no way to escape isn't justifiable?

You don't have to seek out others for validation for your actions. If you think you were justified in DCing (and you do because you did DC) why create a post about it? It's already happened just let it go. These posts are almost as bad as people retelling their heroic tale of beating flashlight user no. 528 and showing the endgame chat to boast about how angry they got. It's tiring as hell

  • You're describing head on here. And you'll probably get hit by it the first time every time but then it's just remembering that they have the perk and to play differently. Head on is the most counterable exhaustion perk, just bait it out when you know they have it. Now if you were actually talking about dead hard you would've been absolutely justified in your question because there's nothing you can do to survivors who skillfully dead hard for distance to a pallet or window. It's very fun and not bs at all.

  • What's there to change your mind about? If you're good at the game, object is the most broken survivor perk by far. I thought everyone knew this lmao

  • Oni is fine ability-wise. He's definitely one of the best killers, and he gets access to possibly the strongest ability in the game but it can be countered if you're good. If he was currently the same as PTB Oni then yes he was completely busted and needed a change. Now he's had 2 changes to his power and his flick and he's in a great spot now.

    But seriously Devs, remove topknot.

  • I actually forgot she had an add-on that gave survivors exhaustion whilst they have a trap on... completely useless add-on because you're not gonna be chasing the survivor who has a trap on their head lol

Well I wouldn't mind those extra point. Sorry if that's difficult to understand.

    ...it's 250 points...

  • I started using it on Billy and Nurse and now I can't stop. These killers are unplayable for me without shadowborn now so I'm forever stuck playing these killers with 3 perks. Now if only we could get some actual options such as an FOV slider in this game...just a thought...would make playing killer a lot more fun and enjoyable...

  • By far the best aura reading perk. I know which direction the killer set off in from the hook and if they're making a beeline for me; I know where every survivor is and if I should try and make the save...I honestly believe it's the best perk in the game due to just how useful it is.

  • It's honestly not a difficult challenge at all. Just run resilience with a commodious toolbox and sit on gens avoiding the killer. The game goes by in 5 minutes and it's an ez escape.

  • I just run windstorm + bone clapper/swift hunt for my add-ons and then endfury, BBQ and pop for my perks. My entire game plan is slamming my face into pallets until there's none left and I win.

So, why Survivors can run through stalking Myers? Or why Killer after hitting Survivor in a corner loses his collision?

It is a game, for better expirience I think Survivors shouldn't be able to bodyblock each other.

Bodyblocking is a part of the game that you have to be mindful of. It's kind of obvious why you can run through stalking Myers and GhostFace and when a killer hits a survivor and I don't think I need to tell you the reason why. Removing collision on survivors would make protection hits feel pretty awkward and survivor an even easier role than it already is. It would also look really bad. Like, it would look terrible.

  • Well if you look at it through the eyes of a sweat lord who only cares about ranking up then yeah you're sort of right...

  • @Eleghost said:

Do people actually use broken keys?

Yep. I use then quite a lot. There are a few key add-ons that are stupidly good. Such as the permanent aura reading for the obsession and the ability to see the killer's aura on use.

  • @Carpemortum said:

"They play something else for a bit".

Good. We dont want DC-ers here.

Those than suicides on hook, would have DCd, so it didnt make anything worse.

If anything, these rants make people look like they're upset that they cant DC without consequences anymore.

    🤷‍♀️

It's not all that. A lot of people "take advantage" of things like this when a change is implemented. Ruin was nerfed, so killers and survivors play scummier than ever, green toolboxes in every match, intentional camping and tunnelling etc to get a reaction out of people. DC penalties have returned so more killers are slugging every survivor for the entire 4 minutes trying their absolute best to get survivors to DC. It's really pathetic. It's a small portion of players but it's enough for it to be a problem.

  • I think Clown should be able to chug the mixture in his bottles until he eventually passes out and the round automatically ends, because that's what I, and probably the clown himself, feels like doing at the start of the match everytime I play him.

  • For me I'd put Laurie in SS, and then Yui, Kate and Claudette in S. Feng doesn't even make it to A tier for me (until I unlock her new outfit in the battle pass). Nothing against Feng but I'll take a cool biker chick over a cutesy gamer girl any day.

  • It's resurrection tho...and the alternating caps lock thing is a meme that has been going around for so long now and it's used to act like a form of sarcasm in text.
