  • Well now it's Demo, Huntress (or it will be next patch because I heard her hatchets are getting a change) and Pig in that order. Myers used to be in my top 3 but he's way too buggy for me to even consider him a killer at this point and it doesn't seem like the devs are planning to fix him anytime soon.

  • @Rivyn said:

They haven't even fixed the window tech yet, and that's a minor issue, so I highly doubt it.

I wouldn't say that's an issue at all, because window teching becomes useless if you just moonwalk when you vault a window. It's an easy free hit and it shouldn't ever catch you out

  • That build is notorious for keeping the game hostage. Most Docs don't run it because it's such a dumb loadout so you'll rarely see it unless the killer had a bad day and wanted to make the survivors hate themselves. I'm guessing you're quite new to the game, which would explain why you struggle with the skill checks. His rework didn't make him that much stronger. He still sucks in chases and the only thing he has going for him is his ability to locate survivors easily because he still gets destroyed by survivors who are somewhat decent or on a large map. Another thing I should mention is that nobody's gonna blame you for suiciding on hook against that build on an indoor map.

  • So you regress a gen for 30 seconds of progress....to get healed in 30 seconds...you could definitely cleanse a totem and jump into a locker or even self-care in roughly the same time. It's a cool concept though. I don't see why people would use it, adrenaline exists and it's better to power through gens to proc adrenaline, survivors don't really care much for being injured anymore because not only are people confident and good at the game now, perks like dead hard, resilience and adrenaline exist

  • If I want a gen perk I'll use corrupt on a few killers like Trapper, demo etc. I only use pop on Wraith and Myers. The killers I play that I don't use slowdown perks on are Pig (enduring, brutal, BBQ, Nurse's), Billy (BBQ, shadowborn, enduring, brutal/spirit fury) and Nurse (BBQ, I'm all ears, shadowborn, infectious)

  • I'm gonna predict he's not gonna be terrible, but not anything special either. He's definitely gonna get bullied to kingdom come by SWF teams though if he stays the same as he was in the PTB.

  • @MigrantTheGreat said:

Strongly agree with this! It's why survivors are still mad about Spirit because "I can't tell when she's phasing" or "I can't loop her"

It's also the reason why I've stopped playing survivor because killers are too counter able. The only killer I enjoy vs now is Spirit because she's threatening. I get a thrill out of being outplayed (and vise versa) because it makes me a better player, but of course the rest of the survivor community doesn't like a killer presenting a challenge

It's not that Spirit presents a challenge, she doesn't present anything to the survivors. She doesn't outplay you either because that would imply there is a way for the other side to actually play around her power. And the problem with spirit is that you don't play around her power, you make a guess based off absolutely nothing that she's phasing or not, or if the spirit just messes up and doesn't phase directly to you. That's not you outplaying her, that's just "you guessed right now you better do it again in 5 seconds". That's not rewarding or fun gameplay, nor is it fun for the spirit because she literally has nothing to think about when she uses her power other than "me hear survivor, me phase to sound and press M1"

  • It's not. It's a sound bug and it's been in the game for who knows how long now. Sounds have been "questionable" for nearly a year now, and they're getting worse. Babysitter only removes scratch marks for a few seconds when you get rescued from a hook. Off The Record is a new Zarina perk that'll give you 60s of iron will and distortion when you've been rescued from the hook though.

...btw if you're a bait/troll account then I applaud you because this is twice that you've posted some suspicious comments and I'm starting to have my doubts...

  • image.png

It's not English, I can tell you that much. Japanese/Korean etc language options have always made the English text and numbers more spaced out and bigger in comparison to the other characters.

  • Ability to drag survivors over pallets would be a good thing, as everyone has said.

I'd also want the whole hook thing to be sped up by A LOT (I mean actually reeling in survivors should be much much faster, but it'll still be virtually the same as it was in the PTB). Because right now it's just so slow and boring when you actually get hit by it. It's not fun at all. I'd want it to be sped up so it doesn't break the flow of the game as much and both the killer and survivor can get back to actually running

  • It would definitely help console killers a lot. Console survivors will finally be aware that Nurse and Huntress are actual killers that do things, and it would be a good challenge for them. The advantage for mouse over joystick for survivor is pretty minimal. A lot of survivors play with a controller on PC and they do just as well as kb/m survivors, so there really isn't much of a reason to not let console players use a kb+m, it would only be a positive

  • @Adeloo said:

what is wrong with the font of your game ? it's super big and not the same as usual XD

Look at the language they're playing the game in...

  • I don't see why you're complaining, this is a pretty standard slew of results. Most red rank survivors are basically green ranks at this stage, that number means nothing and neither does ranking up so don't think about it.

  • I can't play a killer for more than maybe 3 or 4 games in a row without getting extremely bored, unless it's maybe Nurse. I mainly play her, Demo, Pig and Doctor. For some reason I play Pig the most out of all my killers, even though she's the worst killer I "main"

  • I always use BBQ. Imo thrilling tremors is a pretty terrible perk and doesn't do much at all. Not to mention the extra BP too, I feel lost without BBQ

  • He's a very fast man, moving at incredible hihg speeds. His Chad walk is just too fast. Some say he can achieve the speed of sound if only he ran, but nobody has ever seen him do it.

  • Spirit. Completely brain-dead killer, guessing game when you're injured, basically if you're injured you're already dead. I'd say clown and hag but those are sort of a given. I don't mind them anymore because I see so few of them. I used to hate old Doctor but I now love playing as and against new doctor. Feels so much better and more intuitive playing him and also looping him. Huntress with her trucksized hitboxes is pretty miserable but I won't add her to my list because apparently the hatchets are getting changed next patch and it's not really her fault.

I have a feeling Deathslinger will be on the list too, because his power just isn't fun to go against at all.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

I'd like to see an actual cooldown for such an all-in-one ability, rather than a 3 second animation, or a 4 second animation for hitting something.

Insta-saw needs to be gutted though. It just ruins games.

As for the whole "perfect balance" thing, I would actually argue that Huntress is a better example. TydeTyme explained it very well in his Killer Tier List for 2.3.3

I much prefer not having a cooldown slapped onto literally everything that could have one. It doesn't need to be there, he doesn't need one. BHVR need to move away from throwing cooldowns on everything and they seem to be doing that with Deathslinger.

  • Why would you use a gen build on Billy? But if you were considering which perk is better then discordance 100%. If you wanted to go that route, discordance + ruin is probably a really good combo on him.

If reading "die on cancer" and "your mum su * * * co * * *" in endgame chat is super tame to you, I most likely don't wanna have you in my lobby. This is not happening daily, but multiple times weekly. Often enough to have a suibliminal hate against every toxic behaviour.

And regarding "tbagging is an insult". I asked several times in chat, without being salty or anything before, just a neutral "so what's the tbaggin for" as first question. In 95% I get the answer "because you suck" or something equal. Tbaggin is being used to taunt and insult.

There are rare occassions like Sattelizer that just do it always and have fun doing so, yelliong at themselves for fun when they screw up. And seeing this relativates the "insult", but during the game you never know who sits in front of the screen. And from the responses I get, most people don't just play around, they literally insult. Wanna have a test week of in-game voice chat Hunt:Showdown style? Would be curious to see if you guys still say "it's just pressing control"

Btw I don't say that most of the playerbase is hateful. I said above the hard stuff is weekly, not daily. Percentagewise it might be a low factor. Tbaggin happens more often, but also not every game. And most people are nice. But I really wouldn't say that this is the nicest community. Even in this forum I see regularly mods jumping in to remember to stay civil. Again, maybe low percentage, but frequently enough

I never said death threats and insults like that were tame, in fact I said the opposite and that they were one of the only forms of actual toxicity in this game. It happens in DbD but not on such a scale when compared to almost every other big community (CSGO, DOTA, LoL). It's really not that bad and you need to get over the small things and not let it get to you.

Edit: I do believe it is a nicer community than most. I haven't seen much that many would consider actual violent or gross behaviour (apart from 1 or 2 incidents with a certain YouTuber), the stuff you see is the equivalent to children crying when they don't get what they want. It's all whining and complaining, which isn't really "toxic behaviour" in my opinion, it's just annoying.

How about people pressing the F key in chat after the game? Followed by pressing the U key, then the C key and so on. It's just fingers moving across the keyboard I guess... Some people really don't get that pressing Control is in most cases simply comparable to a personal insult -.- Like "it's just a game" - yeah, just a game that creates the most hateful post game chats I experienced so far (no I don't play moba).

Although I also disagree on banning or reporting that. This is simply how many people are. And there is no way of getting around this. Not sure how the quote is in english, but the mayor in ghostbusters 2 said "it is everyones right to be a dick" which is sadly true.

Pressing control is an insult. Today I learned... And this game is SUPER TAME compared to a lot of other games. It's honestly one of the nicest communities going, it's just the majority of people in this community have a very fragile ego, or need to grow a pair and get over t-bagging and flashlight clicking which is the least "toxic" thing you could possibly do to someone in this game. (Threats of violence and homophobic/racial slurs are toxic, t-bagging is not)

  • Why would you run blind warrior and knock out? I'd also swap bloodhound and deerstalker out for something else. If you have deerstalker why would you also want Nurse's or vice versa? If you wanted a dirty slugging build you should be running sloppy or coulrophobia, and maybe swift hunt of even double windstorm to go at very hihg speed.

  • @Coder said:

YES! THANK YOU!!! I FREAKING HATE IT!!!

Sometimes I see some video like some oh tofu match and he goes like "cmon dude, boop the snoot, boop the snoot, cmon!"

Seriously? ever heard of something called "breaking immersion"?

This game automatically breaks immersion by having killers with massive bladed weapons and otherworldly powers get stunned by planks of wood, and being less athletic and smart than a bunch of introverted teenagers, and you draw the line at people touching a pig mask?

  • Lithe. You're vaulting a window to create distance. You don't really need a speed boost in top of that. I also find lithe player's play extremely predictably. Dead hard might be horrible for actually dodging attacks now, but using it for distance is still a strategy, with the majority of killers having absolutely no way to counter it.

She is the definition of proxy-camping. If she abandon her trapped area then 1) she lose time setting new trap area and 2) she is m1 killer until new traps are set. It limit choices she can make. If players choices are limited, indeed she can fall into super boring killer list. Also, add flashlights and swf who can in seconds disable all her traps without any harm.

I should also add that nobody knows how to play her either. Yeah SWF bully Hag but they bully every killer that isn't a good Nurse. You need to know when to set traps, remember to set traps as you go etc. If you want to play her right you have to be a bit sweaty and boring but it's very effective once it gets rolling. A good Hag with decent map pressure is nearly unstoppable.

  • This just isn't the kind of game to play stealthy in if you want to rank up and/or earn a bunch of points. Why do you expect a reward for not interacting with anyone in a multiplayer game? You're playing a single player game at that point

  • I'll do 2 perks for killers and 2 perks for survivors

For survivor it's DS and Unbreakable. Run them together and once a survivor is off the hook there is literally no way to counter anything they do for the next 60 seconds.

For killer probably Infectious Fright and Bamboozle. While I can see why infectious is good now, because it's impossible to win a game without snowballing or slugging, it's still a little annoying as survivor. Bamboozle is just a badly designed perk that's boring to see used all the time, because every chase is exactly the same thing: The killer holds W towards a window, vaults it then forces a pallet drop. Rinse repeat. Stupidly boring gameplay.

  • @GrootDude said:

I don’t see people play hag much so my answer is hag.

You don't see people play Hag because she's super boring. Everyone knows she's a great killer but there are few people who actually enjoy playing Hag.

So are you a Killer who deals with tbagging or a Survivor who does it? I'm leaning towards the latter.

Both but I rarely tbag. Why is that the argument every time? "Oh you don't think it's toxic? You must be someone who does it all the time" because if you're a killer clearly everything a survivor does is toxic and the whole world's against you, so you MUST get mad at survivors pressing the control key at you.

  • @Robotfangirl67 said:

Sorry about that I should of been more in depth, lol, I usually don't comment on things like these but I wanted to share my thoughts on the toxic survivor mentality. I would say that teabagging the killer while pallet stunning them is toxic.I would also say that the flashlight clicking in killer's face can be really annoying. One more thing I would also say that while also playing survivor, teammates refusing to unhook the hooked survivor even when the killer is not camping. I also believe it's toxic to teabag at the exit gates even when the killer was playing fair the whole match. Another thing is that I don't think survivors should just stand around and not do nothing but what I'm saying is they can be really rude because on ps4 which is the platform I play on, things get really crazy and I play both sides, survivor and killer.

Teabagging just isn't toxic lmao. People need to grow thicker skin on here and start to not care about it because it's one of the most tame things you can do in a multiplayer game that's not playing it """correctly""". Is it annoying? That's for you to decide but it definitely isn't toxic behaviour. The sooner you don't think about teabagging the better your experience with the game will be.

killer mains whined enough to nerf every single of them, "instablind op", "BNP op", "instaheal op", but tombstone is ok, 1shot hatchets are ok, 1shot after bottle is ok, perma tier 3 myers is ok etc (i wont mention add on combos)

this game is easier for killers than it ever was and they still whine so much, this is just sad

so i guess they wont ever buff those (because they just nerfed 2 of 3) ;/

Nobody thinks iri head is ok. Literally nobody with a brain. The other ones you mentioned are fine. Tombstone isn't good, and barely works if you do gens, and Clown's red add-on actually turns him into an almost functioning killer.

  • I honestly would like ruin to be reverted. As killer I don't mind, there are other perks, but as survivor it's so absurdly boring. Ruin skillchecks were the last thing next to looping that would occupy and "challenge" me. Now repairing gens is quite literally a brain-dead chore and because it is, games go by in 5 minutes.

Also, game updates don't work like that. You can't just roll out s patch whenever you want. It takes time and resources to constantly update a game so why would they patch it every week unless it was a major issue?

  • Why are we resurrecting a nearly year-old post...

  • Well...there's not much to learn so it's up to you if you enjoy the way he plays. Just know that the skill ceiling is pretty low, and imo he's not very rewarding or satisfying to play. It's all down to if you like his abilities.

  • @BenZ0 said:

To have something to counter something specific is okey to have in the game. The problem is, you have to put in a downside or requirement to blanace the strong benefit out. I dont complain about noed or other perks since they have their downsides already in. Unbreakable has none and that is not okey in my opinion.

You're right. I wouldn't mind if Unbreakable made you broken for a little while, but you could recover even faster. Or you saw the aura of the person who got up using Unbreakable. Just throwing ideas put there, I really don't know what to think about this perk. On one hand I can see why survivors run it because slugging is dumb and unfun but on the other hand it can potentially win games by resetting so much pressure the killer worked for.

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

Killer isnt hard itself, its the map design that is bad (legion and clown are trash though)

but apparently enough people cried and now loops like Shack are being effectively deleted!

Everyone I've seen is against the breakable wall to shack. Killer and survivor mains. Hopefully they don't go through with the shack one. Other breakable walls are a welcome change though. Loops like ironworks and the coldwind buildings of pain need to die.

  • @Hag.is.Dtier said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1119440#Comment_1119440

You can sabo before the killer recovers from a hit, how is that fine?

Because that survivor should also die for it. It's like trading for a hook save. They go down, the survivor potentially struggles free and then it's their turn to go on a hook or get slugged for 30 seconds to wait for the hook to respawn. People are overreacting so much to this sabo change it's unreal. The one change that encourages survivors to not hammer gens and be altruistic and everyone's up in arms about it.

  • No idea. It's also weird that the best perk that has an effect when downing survivors works for ANYTHING, even grabs ffs. Then you have a dumpster-fire of a perk like Surge that only works on M1 downs and it just baffles me that it has such a limitation and infectious doesn't.

  • Well the gen speeds are just a part of the game and until bhvr do something to fix the early game we have to live with it.

I do agree with dead hard but that perk's never getting a change. Honestly the most infuriating thing in the game to see someone dead hard for distance to a window or pallet after they mess up.

If you're getting pallet saved or flashlight saved bait the survivor to come for the save and then go after them, or run lightborn for flashlight saves...or look at a wall...another thing you can do is instantly turn 180 degrees and pick a survivor up. They usually won't react in time and you can pick them up safely.

sabotaging is fine now. It actually makes sabo-ing a viable thing to do as a solo survivor, and if everyone's running around being sabo gods then they're not doing gens so who cares. (Keep in mind you'll almost never see people actually doing this when the update hits live, everyone's doing it now because it's new and interesting. Guarantee you'll rarely see it happen so don't get too worked up about it)

BT is there to punish tunnelling, and out of the "mEtA" perks it's the most balanced. You shouldn't be insta-hitting the survivors who are getting unhooked anyway? If you are the perk is doing its job and you're the one who tunnelled. Just wait out BT if you know they have it, a lot of survivors will keep running into you trying to bait a hit so just wait it out and hit them.

  • Throw pallets early, stay awake, rush gens. That's pretty much it. He is a pretty oppressive killer that can deal with almost everything in the game and end chases quickly but he'll still lose if the survivors are good and have a bit of sense. I do agree that he's definitely the easiest killer in the game with high reward and a bit overtuned but I wouldn't want any of his abilities nerfed. I think there should be 2 changes:

Let BT proc while survivors are in the dream world. This is just a stupid af change that shouldn't have ever happened. Wasn't necessary at all.

Let survivors wake up using any clock but then change something else about them as a countermeasure. Maybe survivors can't see the auras of the clocks but the clocks are louder, or they fall asleep faster?

  • Unbreakable is a very annoying perk tbf. More than ever. If killers don't slug they don't win, and now everyone and their mother is running a perk that directly counters the one playstyle that seems to work right now. It's just dumb that this game has so many of those "you do X, so I do Y" things. Perks and items that only exist to counter 1 specific thing. Like how there are still so many things in this game that only exist to counter Trapper's ability.

  • Honestly I've stopped caring. 4 stacks of BBQ is a win for me. Why are you getting stressed out over things that are completely out of your control? Nobody's going to think that you should've won a match on Cowshed or Preschool against a SWF death squad. You shouldn't stress yourself out over the game screwing you over, it's not your fault so why even go to the trouble of stressing? Just chill and have fun.

  • Honestly just pay attention to sound rather than sight. Claudette's breathing is pretty loud (it's not Meg levels of loud but it's loud enough and distinct). You can also hear the grass moving whenever they move through it which is where they always hide. Not to mention their hiding spots are some of the most predictable and obvious places.

Surge is decent in some builds like oni with his mass downing potential.

Why use surge over pop though? It has a cooldown for starters (40 seconds is way too long), and regresses a gen by a whopping 8%. That's, what...just over 6 seconds worth of gen regression? If it didn't have a cooldown, worked with every kind of action like infectious does and guaranteed hit 2 gens in progress I think it'd be a good perk. But right now it's not that great when other perks to slow down gens/track survivors exist.

  • If you're asking for Billy nerfs you're a bad survivor. That's all I'm gonna say. Billy add-on nerfs I'd agree with, some of them are really dumb and shouldn't be a thing, but his base kit is fine. You make him 110% speed, give him a cooldown and he'll be the worst killer in the game.

  • As a Laurie main...no idea lmao. Maybe make sole survivor not useless. Is wouldn't know how to change it though apart from reworking the perk completely

  • It's been the same with killer perks too. The last 3 killers have all had abysmal teachables. Demo's are all atrocious, Oni has one meme perk that makes Bubba decent and now Deathslinger's are just underwhelming. Ah well. I also think you're kind of underselling For The People. It's a really good perk. An instaheal with unlimited use in a match is pretty insane. The 90 second broken effect isn't that bad because what survivor cares about being injured in 2020 when perks like resilience and dead hard exist.

  • @Groxiverde said:

My main criticism of his video is that I think bamboozle is 5/5 and not 3/5. Yes, maybe Bamboole is trash on the nurse or the spirit, but on m1 killers it is GOD tier. Just my opinion.

So you vault a window...then what? They'll just run to another loop and you do it all over again. It doesn't stop god loops because good players only need to use them once to gain distance. It also tells me as a survivor that a killer can't run a certain tile so they rush to the window and block it off so they don't have to do that. It's such a trash perk, id even consider it to be a crutch for some players because they rely on it too much.

  • You really can't, not to this game. Guarantee the moment something "scary" is added you either won't feel a thing or you'll become used to the thing in about 20 minutes because it's a multiplayer game.

DbD is all about "oh I'm going to play with and interact with this other player", not "oh I'm going to run and hide from this giant monster that is far stronger than me and wouldn't put up a fair fight". Scary things make the player feel useless and unable to really do anything. Something like that in DbD wouldn't be fun.

  • Legion matches are chill and not too stressful. Just stabbing people a bunch what's not to like. The 2nd least is probably Freddy, because whenever I get a daily for him it just means I can turn my brain off and still do well.
