  • Urban evasion, self-care, sprint burst, iron will.

Playing blendette also requires you to lose several brain cells and to be the single worst player on your team so be sure to get all that down before you start your new journey.

  • Mine's a bit of a different answer to this question....this game needs competition.

No game of a similar nature comes close to DbD's success. BHVR right now will always be on top which says to them that they're doing everything right. Nobody's quitting this game to play another game in the genre because they're all dead or dying, or have no player base at all. I really hope project resistance takes off and becomes as popular as DbD since this game desperately needs some competition. That would help the game the most since competition means the Devs might just be motivated enough to start making patches and changes that are actually meaningful for once.

  • Bubba just wants to show you his brand new chainsaw that he got for Christmas. You keep running away from him everytime he tries so he has to put you on a hook :(

  • Basically if you're a good enough killer and have a pair of headphones and a pair of ears, you really can't go wrong with Spirit and the build doesn't matter. That being said, she benefits from tracking perks. A popular build is BBQ, stridor, Nurse's, sloppy/pop goes the braincells. Sloppy is probably her best perk because if a survivor is injured against spirit they're basically already dead

  • I guess we're resurrecting this thread now. But for me...

Most annoying killer is Deathslinger now. Against a good Deathslinger you basically can't play the game because there's not much to do about his power. It's like spirit in that sense but it actually requires a bit of skill and thought.

And P3 Claudettes will always be the worst survivors. I think it's self-explanatory.

you probably dont play killer enough so you think they are just unlogical complains, either that or you are just too dumb or survivor sided that you dont want to accept it

It's probably for the best that you don't take the bait. Happens too much on this forum and people get way too heated at others who just want to provoke a reaction.

  • His terror radius music needs a bit of a change, I'll agree with that. I don't really agree with the "no skill" argument though because you still have to hit your shots. He does have possibly the least fun chases in the game next to hag, but he's not broken in a sense that he's too powerful. He doesn't have any kind of map pressure so you can fly through gens if the killer has a bad aim and keeps missing

  • Well you definitely can...but that's a boring way to play the game. I don't understand the people who do this. How's it in any way rewarding or fun to constantly go after the person of least resistance and tunnel them out of a match just because you can? Those kinds of people are the ones who complain about the so-called "SWF bully groups" and "genrushers". Really pathetic.

  • That's exactly what they've changed. Can't hit people on gens or behind objects while they're healing anymore.

  • Why did you go to red forest of all maps to try and get that achievement lol. Couldn't imagine having to haul Michael's fat ass across mother's dwelling just so I can get a portion of my power.

If you watch the clip there was literally nothing I could have done aside from just letting people go get the save.

Which on my part isn't fun or interactive.

Especially when you get to higher ranks I essentially have the force the game out to go longer so I can get my pips

Maybe you shouldn't worry too much about pips and ranking up, it only hurts your experience anyway so I don't know why you'd prioritise it lol. But legion is probably the best killer next to wraith for ranking up.

  • @Thatbrownmonster said:

    Hell no

Devour hope and noed would be useless

In what possible way would a totem counter change devour hope's effectiveness? Please think long and hard about that...because it doesn't do anything. "Oh there are X amount of totems left? Great, my devour is now useless because they know how many totems are on the map". It doesn't make sense. NOED wouldn't be useless, but who cares if it was how would that be a bad thing lol? That's the one perk everyone wants to see less of, and if survivors had an actual way of knowing how much progress they've made to removing NOED before the EGC they wouldn't ever complain about the perk ever again.

  • People were like that when he got reworked but they were a minority. You've surely heard of a "honeymoon" phase right? Once you're over it you start to not feel the same ways, and you start to notice flaws and stuff you really don't like. People liked the new Freddy at first because it was just that: something new to try out. But then people started to notice that this "new" thing is not fun, and is painfully shallow and boring to play as and against because there's nothing interesting about his abilities.

  • So you're saying when I hit someone twice, near a gen, that gen gets a whole 6 seconds of progress regressed and I get to hear a gen explode but ultimately not be able to do anything about it? AND I get to wait for a 40 second long cooldown too before I can use it again? That's insane! The value on this perk!

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

No, the cooldowns are needed to balance her powers.

It doesn't even balance her it just makes her more annoying to play.

  • Those are actually some good ideas for perks. I wouldn't mind seeing them in the actual game (honestly don't know why Flux Capacitor isn't already in the game. Would be perfect to put on Technician). It'd definitely be a pretty off-the-wall addition and I wouldn't mind having dumb stuff added to DbD.

  • Huntress on rotten fields is kind of rough. Ruin before was used as a bandaid fix for the horribly large maps in the game...which are still there and now you're not expected to even come close to winning on them. Nobody's gonna blame you for not winning on coldwind, red forest, Ormond as Huntress or Deathslinger etc because it's kind of impossible. Imo, old Ruin made big maps playable and small maps too easy.

I would say to use corrupt intervention in place of ruin but, surprise surprise, it does almost nothing on the large maps and is only useful on a few.

  • Swap thana. People seem to always want to run Thana on Legion but all it does is make progress bars turn red. It's such a bad perk lol. That is, if you wanted to run surge in the first place. Pop is just the best slowdown perk in the game without question. But if you wanted a build for Legion I run enduring, BBQ, infectious and monitor/corrupt. Not sure how good it actually is but I like it. I dislike slowdown perks but corrupt I can just kind of throw on and forget about it sometimes.

  • Idk, F for both

For killer I want shadowborn as a selectable option the most at this point. I would have said buffs but, like the Devs, I've abandoned wraith and Myers at this point and those two killers will never be fixed or helped again. But yeah, I want an extra 15 degrees FOV as an option. Would just help me and probably many other people in general not get a massive headache playing killer for a long period of time.

Survivor I want the survivor aura reading from kindred to be default. I run kindred all the time, but nobody else does which is what makes solo q irritating to play. This would help solo survivors so much and would basically be a negligible buff to SWF.

  • Hag and Clown. And I'm not gonna complain in the slightest about not seeing them. Although I would love to swap clown for all the spirits I see...

  • I'm gonna guess Deathslinger is next to unplayable on console compared to PC but I suppose one technique you could try and adopt is not moving your gun as much, and waiting for the survivor to juke into your sights, like you would do with Huntress. Unless you're a god, going for pop-shots isn't really gonna be viable so you might want to try and play a more patient way and wait for the survivor to do something.

  • @Dehitay said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1157895#Comment_1157895

A lot of buffs happened in the last patch and both sides have been complaining like crazy.

They're hardly buffing the right things. They're welcome buffs, but something needs to be done on a much bigger scale and maybe they are working towards changes like that I have no idea. Both sides need some QoL changes. What about kindred survivor aura reading as default for survivors? Or maybe shadowborn as a menu option? Or something to change the early game like Scott has said? I dunno, there's so many 60 second changes they could make to this game but they just aren't there.

  • Saboing is actually fun now, what? Nobody sabotaged things before anyway so how is it any different? In fact I've seen more people do it against me than ever. It's actually a fun thing to play against since there's no longer the constant thought of having absolutely every hook ready to be sabotaged in less than a fraction of a second, which definitely had so much counterplay /s. Now it takes some actual thought as a survivor, and if you don't want to sabo that's fine, but you should give it a go it can be fun if you do it with friends.

  • @Dehitay said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1157879#Comment_1157879

It's not punishing people for playing with their friends. It's balance. It takes an absurd about of entitlement to think making the game fair is punishment. What's actually happening is punishing everybody else when you play with your friends.

Having more options is always more fun. Taking away perk slots takes away options. Why not buff killers and solo q instead of nerfing SWF? More buffs means more options, which in turn means a more fun experience. You nerf everything and the game becomes boring as hell. And you know this game would die in a heartbeat if a change like this was suddenly made 4 years in. Nobody would complain at both killers and survivors getting better.

  • Blendettes are universally despised. I don't know a single person who likes them, nor have I seen a player who mains the P3 Claudette skin that's actually any good. As soon as you see them you just know they're that kind of player. At least baby Dwights are hilariously entertaining to watch in action.

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

I played her for a long time

if you use stridor, you are playing the game with omega training wheels

Spirit is basically training wheels anyway so why not go the distance and be extra spicy lmao

  • Punishing people for wanting to play with their friends is not the way to go about it at all. Why would you restrict access to 2 of your perk slots just because you wanted to play and have fun with friends? Not only is this just kind of absurd from a developer view, it would also kill the Game, and the ones that are left will just keep dodging lobbies until they get matched with their friends, leading to even worse lobby times.

  • I mean if you don't want killers to win then sure. The thing is a lot of killers do want to win, regardless if you want them to or not, and if you don't slug you don't win and it's literally as simple as that. Run Unbreakable.

  • Probably Demogorgon right now. His power is fair, doesn't have any bs attached, you know when he can use it and can bait it out accordingly. There's a lot of counterplay to his shred but it's still a really good ability. His portals also give him good pressure. Overall just a really good and fun, fair killer.

People are saying Oni and I kinda disagree. Yeah his power is pretty balanced in terms of how he acquires it and what you can do to stop the power, but in a lot of situations there's absolutely no way of getting away from him and you're going down no matter what.

And since you're including add-ons then he DEFINITELY isn't. Scalped topknot is possibly the second best add-on in the entire game under iri head which is a no-brainer. It's disgustingly broken. Whatever counterplay he had at some loops is just gone.

  • It doesn't bother me too much. I play a religious amount of Devil May Cry and rhythm games so in used to mashing a key repeatedly. But even so, it's just annoying. I set up a macro for it instead lmao.

Still, add this to the very extensive list of wanted features that would take one person on the team literally less than 60 seconds to implement...

You'd be surprised at just how many people care about rank and complain about the emblem system. That's why I brought it up.

And the DS/Gate powered scenario is a niche one, but one to consider anyway.

Well maybe more people than I thought care about rank. Suppose I just assume that everyone doesn't because I've given up caring a long time ago. And you honestly shouldn't care because it's such a busted system lmao, it just leads to frustration.

So you want to tell me that noone ever baitet DH or played with foresight so that its used for nothing? LOL Do you play this game just since yesterday?

You can't bait dead hard for distance. Are you high?

  • We'll still find a way to get screwed over by dedicated servers.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

You already can't kobe if you're the last survivor alive.

Killers already have a lit of advantages going for them and it don't exactly speed matches up. It will also detriment a lot of killers who use this as they will miss out on Sacrifice emblem for not hooking a survivor.

I don't know a single person who cares about the emblem system and ranking up. Ranking up is a bad thing to begin with lmao. It's not really an advantage when it doesn't do anything that hooking and sacrificing a survivor the normal way does. The only thing you can say it does over hooking is counter DS when you're the last one alive, gates are open and they have ds up, which is kinda BS to begin with.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/137027/proof-breakable-walls-wont-do-anything

The new placing of it isn't really the most impactful, but maybe the Devs will realize it and change it on other Maps.

All Breakable Walls on the new Map mostly don't affect the chase in any way.

Are you feeling ok? If you don't break the walls in the saloon it's probably the strongest structure in the game. The map was designed with the breakable walls in mind, which is why the structures look so funky, then you break both walls and the tile becomes a standard T L or jungle gym. Don't get me wrong it's still a great map and one of the most balanced and fun maps we've got for...a very long time (chapel was probably the last one).

  • I love the random bug that sometimes disables my 2nd blink. An absolute favourite of mine 🙃

  • @Dehitay said:

Only nerf I think he needs is some kind of audio warning when he's aiming. It's so much faster than a hatchet windup that it shouldn't hurt too much, but actually give a chance at counterplay in so many sections of the map.

The audio cue wouldn't do anything, since the Deathslinger players that are any good are just going for pop-shots. Unless you added a delay to when he can shoot the audio cue wouldn't do anything because the shot is instant and there's no way a human being could possibly react to it.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Learn to play against it, it's pretty easily avoided.

If you can tell me how to play against a sudden speed boost for distance to get to a pallet or window as a normal M1 killer then please do...because you can't.

  • They're not a combo but BBQ and enduring. Can't live without them. I use them on Pig, Billy, Trapper, Myers, Oni, Wraith...those two perks are my drugs.

  • Anything that has tracking, pretty much. She doesn't need much to slow the game down because it's spirit and she's a bit 4head so yeah go nuts. BBQ is an obvious. Nurse's is also nice on her. Stridor counters the one perk injured survivors could use against you. If you wanted to go extra 4head you can use both ultra rare add-ons with bloodhound.

  • Please don't ever fix it. It looks so scuffed and stupid and I love it.

    PVDYH5NYL15C.png

    It's perfect.

  • Well Deathslinger is one of the most unique killers they've made so far, and also one of the most fun so prepare to see him a lot for the next few weeks (Or just take a break...). While he isn't fun to play against you're just gonna have to live with it I'm afraid there's not much to be done about it.

Funny thing is that lately people have been showing heaps of love and saying how fun Pig is. An "M1" killer who does have pretty severe downsides and can be looped quite easily.

As for exploiting his ability, and I 100% mean this question, how is it not on the same level as BT body-blocking?

Or why should I be punished for where the game places a generator?

I don't believe for a second though that a three second animation is enough of a cooldown. If it totalled 10 seconds, with animation included, then people might throw some hammers and it would be healthier for the game.

Not saying that he should strictly be an M1 killer, but we should maybe not get all of his downs with the saw, maybe drop it back to about 20% of them. 30% at most.

I like the pig a lot too. In fact my favourite killers to play against don't even have the ability to instadown (Demo, Pig and Huntress iri head doesn't count). I really don't know what you mean with that BT comparison.

He really doesn't need a cooldown that long. He just doesn't. You put a 10 second cooldown on him like that and he becomes one of the least fun killers in the game. Nobody would play him because he wouldn't be a good killer at all.

  • It really depends. At purple ranks it can be awful. At red ranks it's ok most of the time. If I ever play solo survivor it's for challenges, and even then I'd rather do them with a friend. Idk there's just absolutely no fun playing as a solo survivor it's much more fun playing with someone else. At least then I have someone to talk to and chill with while I play.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

I tried pointing this out and I got attacked for most of my replies. All I can say is prepare for war.

I personally think that he has too much going for him to be the "centre of balance" and too much power in one button.

Apologists will also say that you can just 360 him or his chainsaw punishes bad positioning, which is just wrong. It rewards the killer bad play on both sides. Some generators are NOWHERE NEAR window vaults or pallets that you can use to avoid him and there's no 360 you can do against a Hillbilly tapping his chainsaw to be within 1m of a survivor.

There is also zero punishment for missing/colliding with terrain, unlike Nurse, Spirit, technically Freddy (teleporting to the wrong generator) or Bubba. Not even a cooldown until you can use the saw again!

He can also tap his activation to hover the meter, unlike Pig, Doctor, Deathslinger, Nurse, Spirit or Freddy. One you go for it, it's all or nothing.

Oni, who has basically the same ability, has to BUILD UP his power by using his actual weapon and collecting resource.

Now when you play him like a normal killer, as in use his hammer, he's GREAT! Still really strong, but infinetly less frustrating to go against. It also opens you up to more perks, such as Third Seal or Sloppy Butcher.

By all means, use the saw to bait a pallet. If they drop it, eat it. If they don't then you get a saw down. Use it against teabaggers and punish them for toxicity. Bridge the gap against Adrenaline or snipe people. Have some actual SKILL with your saw!

Saw-Billies are on the same level as BT, DH, DS abusers. You are exploiting one particular feature about part of the game for massive benefit. These people are just getting too great a reward, and only loosing out on some Chaser emblem so they can't double-pip as easily.

I don't like Billy because I've versed too many of them, been hit by too many unfair saws, and had too many apologists just tell me to "Git gud" for anyone to justify his current state to me. Because of his player-base. Because of those who think the saw is a weapon and they're godly at the game for it.

Billy is the popular King of the Meta on console and it's time for a coup. Let's dethrone him already and get some variety back in the game.

I wouldn't go so far as to say you're exploiting an ability. And have you ever played as a m1lly? It's boring as hell. Billy is one of the last killers that are super fun to play. It's fine for you to think that he has too much going for him, but he's fine against decent and good survivors. Him and Nurse (and maybe Oni and Spirit to a point) are the only killers that can actually keep up with the speed of a match. Should also say that Billy is one of the last killers that doesn't have any horrific downside or cooldown on his ability and it feels really good.

I also don't get frustrated against "saw Billies" if that's what you want to call them. It's infinitely MORE fun to me to actually have to concentrate a bit more when I'm getting chased. There are a lot of ways to counter a Billy and he can get looped to oblivion. I'd take facing a Billy trying to go for chainsaws over a boring M1 Billy any day. But I guess it's just a matter of opinion. Some people like default killer chases and some don't. I personally don't.

  • @Codela said:

Mine is when I want to mindgame a killer by doing unexpecting turns or faking vaults but end up getting hit because the killer's got either 1000IQ and consciously processes my mindgame or because he's a baby-killer doing the most unexpecting stuff. ._.

Quite a lot of the time it's just the killer getting lucky, but I find it way too easy to know what certain survivors will do. They make it too obvious whether it's how they're running, what character and cosmetic they're using, etc

  • @Reinami said:

So, share your ideas on things to try instead of just crapping on other peoples?

Oh give me a break. At what point did I "crap" on your suggestion? I just gave my opinion on it. And my idea would be to not run those perks lmao. I don't feel like he has any sort of unique "strategy" outside of having a consistent aim and flicking and ending chases quickly which are kind of a given. Again, the interaction with PWYF and his power is cool, it's just that I personally don't see it being too effective.

  • ...this isn't news to anyone and everyone has the same issues lmao. He's very buggy and will continue to be buggy for a long time, possibly forever. I'd rather other killers be fixed first though. Myers has been broken since dedicated servers have come out, and I'd rather he be fixed first than GhostFace. His entire power needs a rework because it's such a dumb mechanic to begin with.

  • No offense to you but you really should've considered a bit harder because there are already so many of these posts showing up people who got a little salty at a videogame as if they're trying to prove something. It's getting so tiring at this point can you all just stop with them and find something else to talk about? Literally nobody but you and the other guy involved care enough about it and you'll both forget all about the ordeal in the next 10 minutes anyway.

  • It's cool until you realise just how much time you're wasting saving stacks. Good survivors will also know not to struggle so it's taking you over 10 seconds to get them off your spear, followed by another few second stun and then yet another second for reloading the gun...all for saving 2 STBFL stacks or one PWYF stack. You really don't have many seconds to waste with Deathslinger either, his map pressure is already abysmal

1 … 52 53 54 55 56 … 63
