A 20 minute timer would definitely be nice. Maybe the ground becomes more red and objects in the world start to look more corrupted and worn as the match progresses? 20 mins is definitely reasonable because no normal match actually lasts that long. Rare matches like this are why I absolutely despise blendettes and immersed survivors. If you want this experience play Amnesia or Outlast, where hiding is encouraged.
-
Expose all survivors the moment the last gen gets completed.
That's literally it. NOED is fixed, you can all go home now.
-
This must be the newest Hillbilly ultra rare add-on that got leaked before his rework:
Very Long Guide Bar
-
Spirit Fury, enduring, PWYF, nemesis on hag with water-logged shoe and disfigured ear. I call it the speed gremlin...I also don't think the disfigured ear even works with water-logged shoe, but it might. Who cares honestly.
-
When Billy gets the chilli, he becomes a very happy boiye indeed. Congrats on the lucky bloodweb
-
Monitor and shadowborn...monitor...and shadowborn...
Your galaxy-brain perk choice aside, I'm all ears is really good on her from my experience. Good survivors will vault windows against Nurse to create distance and block LoS and try to attempt to juke you that way (lithe and iron will have been the bane of my Nurse for a while) so having the aura of them revealed when they vault a window is pretty useful.
-
Remove wiggling from the hook as well as struggling on hook, it's stupid that the mashing to struggle is still a thing. Instead have 1 option to give up on the hook and lose all your bloodpoints for that round. There, problem solved.

Its fine. In this upcoming patch, the use to be bare minimum (8 pallets) on the map is now gonna the normal, because the devs don't play their game and understand balance...
That is so far away from what this post is about that I have no idea where to begin. Are you like most people on here and just read the title of the post, and then proceed to make an angry comment in response? I see it all the time with people on here responding to bait posts and it's the most bizarre ######### ever.
-
Less hassle and time wasted to just break the pallet since most good survivors will know to stay at those loops. Although sometimes there are those ones that just hold the W key and run away from the pallet because they assume you instantly break it, leading to a very easy hit.
Basically in my experience, any means necessary is good when you have...special...survivors (almost all the time) and a good killer who knows they can catch up to the W gamers by simply walking around the pallet. Hell I wouldn't even consider it good even then, the cooldown is ridiculously long for it to even be worth it.

I still dont understand why DBD peaked in playerbase on april 2019, that was when plague was introduced, wasnt it? I thought demo would have attracted more survivor than plague, it doesnt make sense to me
There was a free weekend in April, and I'm pretty sure GhostFace was also teased around that time. I remember this because it was when I started playing this game lol.

Spine Chill destription says it increases repair, heal and sabotage speeds.
However, it increases the speed of as many actions as Resilience does.
Well it also said in the description that it increased vault speeds, but they removed it....even though they didn't remove the vault speed increase it gives on fast vaults, for some reason.any perks do need a rewording of their descriptions along with the perks themselves, but I don't think that's too high a priority for them right now
-
Should it really affect all interactions? Let's look at the description of the perk:
You are motivated in dire situations.
Grants 3/6/9 % increased Repairing, Healing, Sabotage, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Gate Opening, and Chest Searching speeds while injured.
Resilience was never meant to increase the speed of things like jigsaw boxes, snapping out of it etc. If it was meant to then they would change the perk and the description to show that.
-
I think what they need to do to bloodlust right now is to remove the 2nd and 3rd stacks and only have 1 stack for now. Then once every map is in a good spot, get rid of the mechanic entirely. They're almost there though, they simply need to finish what they started.
-
Honestly you got outplayed. /s But seriously this is just DbD being itself, and things like this should be 100% expected at this point, although apparently window vaults are better in the latest PTB? We'll have to see if those changes make it to live (And then we'll have to see what killers or survivor mechanics get broken because of it and decide if it was worth it lmao)
-
While I agree that the traps aren't really a fun mechanic, they're far from broken or overpowered. You almost never need to use all the boxes unless you get really unlucky and it sucks when it happens, but that's just the way it goes and I don't think the devs have any plans to change Pig anytime soon. It does suck that whenever an interesting slowdown mechanic is introduced to the game, it's plagued by randomness. Her bear traps are either next to useless or the best slowdown mechanic in the game and it's purely luck which way it goes. I would definitely be in favour of reworking her traps so they're more consistent.

Sad you are recommending such a bad build. Obviously whispers is S tier on doc. 32m terror radius, 32m insta-find survivors radius? Why would you ever run monitor on him?
Yeah I don't know why people are still recommending stealth Doc in 2020 when there are so many builds that are just better. M&A is just so bad on him lmao.

That's already in the game. Problem is, you can avoid the crows spawning by spamming emotes, and it takes way too long to get a notification from them anyway.

I think the two big change that needs to happen to Freddy is to let survivors wake up at any clock...but maybe as a compensation you transition into the dream world faster, or you can only enter the dream world if Freddy hits you first?
The 2nd change is to remove the oblivious effect from the dream world. I don't think he should be able to basically completely ignore BT. It's kind of dumb imo. At least with Wraith you have to be cloaked, where he can't attack survivors, and Pig takes a long time to crouch and uncrouch. Freddy just doesn't care about BT

Typical killer main logic. They tunnel because they dont care. They just want the easy win and will come up with some bs excuse to justify it. You see it on these forums all the time.
Also just like how you see people say “just bring DS” to stop tunneling and then a few minutes later they’re begging and pleading with the devs to remove DS so they can tunnel without restrictions.
Generalising is fun isn't it? You're talking about a very vocal minority here. There are a few killers who have 0 empathy for the other side and are only there to ruin your day but most of them are fine (At least they are for me, I haven't run into almost any of them in purple and red ranks, they've mostly been really chill). And who cares if all those killers are on this forum anyway lol if they're on here whining then they're not playing the game as much are they? 😉

uhh that’s a little bit too harsh don’t you think? maybe add a short one or two second delay after each crouch but even then t-bagging can’t hold a game hostage like mori spam can.
Wouldn't that interfere a bit with the gameplay? Against Huntress and Deathslinger especially, where crouching can be quite important. For example quickly standing and then crouching again to bait a shot at a few loops (This is more for Deathslinger since Huntress will probably just hit you with her throwable semi-trucks anyway lmao)
-
"Oh woe is me! They pressed ctrl several times in front of me! I am such an oppressed killer main! These toxic survivors should be punished!"
Can you people please get over t-bagging already lmao the sooner you stop letting it get to you the more you'll enjoy the game. Maybe it's just me but I've not once been mad at someone t-bagging, I just think it's funny and all in good fun. I mean come on, the whole visual of a teenager twerking in front of a disturbed killer redneck with a chainsaw is hilarious.
-
Doctor's power is good at stopping the loops that are only slightly safe. And even then, he's not that great at it. If you're getting caught at jungle gyms and pallets like that, you really need to stop greeding them and throw them earlier. Seriously don't know why people think Doctor can stop all these loops, he's still not great at chasing people. He is a noob stomper though so I can give you that.

I agree that a lot of survivors aren’t great. That seems to be the average player for the game, a bit of a potato.
The problem I have is that the average killer is just as potato. They’ll commit to chasing good survivors for ages, run all the broken loops, miss a lot of swings, have no map awareness.
Yet as a potato killer you can still dominate with 3 gens left standing.
and killer is meant to be the more demanding role?
If a potato killer is "dominating" survivors at 3 gens then are they really that much of a potato? And if you really think they are, what does that say about you and the rest of the survivors on your team? It's a survivor issue not a killer one.
-
I don't think that change would be good for the game tbh. What they should've done to ruin was simply remove the progression 'pause' if you didn't hit the skill check. That's literally it. But it doesn't really matter now because while I despise using this perk, pop is an almost acceptable replacement for ruin.

I dont think you understood the Screenshots correctly. While the Nerfs to those Windows were 100% justified, they will nowhere near be as strong as they currently are.
The ironworks one will only change how it's ran coming from 1 side (the stairs side). The only difference it makes when it's run on the correct side is that it's about 1 or 2 seconds shorter because running through the new doorway as killer will take you the same amount of time as vaulting the window like before.
-
The less interaction you have with a killer, the more survivors will say they're boring. A lot of this community, and people in this thread, are getting this wrong when survivors call a killer boring. Freddy and Spirit are the main ones because with Freddy it's just a boring chase (whoo drop pallet early and run to another loop, so exciting...) And Spirit gives the survivor absolutely no indication or tell of where she is before it's too late, meaning they have absolutely no interaction with her and they either guess correctly before the spirit is back on them in 5 seconds or go down because the killer had a pair of headphones.
Then we have a killer like Billy who is strong, and difficult to survive against, but is also regarded as being one of the most fun and balanced killers because he has clear counterplay and clear strengths, and punishes bad survivors.
-
Honestly this community is one of the most tame groups of people and everyone takes them way out of proportion. What this community defines as "toxic" is people clicking flashlights or t-bagging. Because God forbid a player repeatedly pushed a button in your face. The nerve of that guy, he's so toxic right?! How dare he?! As far as actual toxicity goes there isn't much but it still happens (offensive terms and slurs etc) it's WAYY better than League, DotA, CS etc.
As for having fun? It depends. The first few hours of survivor are pretty fun since you're scared and nobody knows what they're doing, leading to more frantic games. Once you become experienced with the game you'll either love it or hate it and there's no in-between. I can't with good conscience recommend someone play this game unless they're willing to invest time and money into it (because the most important killer perks are locked behind paywalls, and actually grinding for teachables and perks has now reached a point of absurdity. The bloodrush that's going on right now helps with it a bit though)
-
It needs to be at this point. For new players especially, the grind for perks and bloodpoints is absurd and imo it's the most poisonous aspect of the game and needs to be changed. It's that terrible. Even just reducing the amount of tiers a perk has from 3 to 2 would help SO MUCH.
-
@Lexilogo said:
Huntress' Exhaustion addons are questionable, but really the issue with them are the fact that they have split Rarities between tiers that don't have much of a point. If you just had one straightforward Rare addon that inflicts Exhaust and that was it, it'd be in line with other Killers with similar addons.
Iridescent Head definitely needs to change but it's a shame that BHVR have kinda dragged their feet with it when, compared to some other problems, it's not exactly a hugely entangled issue.
You have two main options with Irid head that would both be reasonable solutions and people suggest all the time:
-Irid head LOCKS your Hatchets to 1 instead of reducing their count by 4
-Or, as suggested here, Irid head works on a distance requirement instead of reducing your total hatchets
Considering Deathslinger I think the 2nd option is what BHVR is looking at, though Deathslinger's Irid Coin has fallen flat on its face, as IIRC the max range you can harpoon a Survivor and still hit them in ideal conditions with no obstacles for Deathslinger is 18 meters and it requires you to hit them from at least 15.
I do really hope that the Irid Head thing gets fixed sometime, as it's an unfair stigma that's been following Huntress for a while.
I'd rather the distance for oneshotting be the change instead of locking hatchets to 1, because if you did that iri head would not be a good add-on at all.
-
My honest opinion is the reason why people think GhostFace is good at all is because he's broken as hell and his power is so buggy that it actually makes him a somewhat viable killer. If his power was 100% functional he would be terrible. The time it takes for his power to recharge is way too long, it only becomes acceptable with two of his best cooldown add-ons.

That makes you probably one of the reasons why camping is a thing.
Well...yeah? If a killer is so insecure that they'll make sure I die all because I played better than them and wasted their time then you bet I feel good about that.
-
Well it blocks all actions, and dead hard is an action. Honestly the more killers that can play around dead hard for distance the better (even though you can dead hard to dodge the shock therapy and get to the window or pallet that way. Such an interactive experience 🙃)
-
Am I the only one who doesn't hate getting facecamped? Maybe I've just grown so insensitive to winning/losing and the rank system but I love the fact that I managed to piss a killer off to the point where he will make sure I die no matter what. I feel like I've already won and I didn't even do gens or escape.

I personally don't think you should remove a whole category of items because of you Pig players decide to tunnel. Especially when you consider the pig players who tunnel don't use the status condition add-ons
Why wouldn't you want them removed though? They're really bad add-ons. I'd rather they get changed into something better than stay in the game.
-
Bloodlust is another Bandaid fix to bad map design. Without it killers right now would have a terrible time on almost every map. It would be nearly Impossible to win as an M1 killer. Once all the maps have been fixed and some slight balance tweaks here and there I would be all for bloodlust getting removed because it's a dumb af mechanic.
-
I like a lot of the changes, but I sort of disagree with the trap status effect add-ons. Those need to straight up be removed. They encourage tunnelling and Pig players already do enough of that. We don't need any more of them. I'd also want an add-on that completely changes the game. I had an idea where survivors start with a trap on their heads, but they couldn't remove it and everytime a gen gets completed the trap would keep reactivating. There would only be 3 boxes on the map, but each of them are guaranteed, BUT THEN (there's a lot of conditions here I know) as a trade-off survivors wouldn't be able to see the auras of the boxes.
-
I've seen several legacy survivors. Usually Dwight and Cheeto Jake. I've only ever seen 1 legacy killer. It was a full legacy 3 Nurse and I was terrified.

I don’t think killers need OP ad ons. They have an OP offering called ebony Mori 😂 in my
honest opinion I think killers have too much :/
I know killers want to have fun too, but it’s just not fun for survivors to stare at a progress bar and die for you every game. This is what solo feels like. Which snowballs into why killers complain about swf. Well that’s the only way. Even then swf isn’t guaranteed to work. Some killers have way too much at their disposal 🤷♂️ As long as you have a half a brain and a little bit of common sense anyone can be a killer. It’s too easy imo.
I am astonished that you haven't been banned yet. Respect for keeping character though.
-
Otz had an idea of regressing a gen if the clown directly hit it with a bottle. I think this would be a decent change. Instead of kicking the gen and then going for the survivor you could instead throw the bottle at the gen to start regressing it and cut out a lot of time (let it work with pop too, that would be a pretty cool synergy). It would also reward you for having a good aim.
-
Ok, cool. If you wanna do that it's up to you, just try to have fun with it yea? Because from your post you don't sound like you're having fun at all and should probably take a break from this game.
Also gonna add that doing gens and looping is not toxic. I don't know why you'd call red rank survivors toxic when all they're doing is playing the game better than you (and I don't mean any offense that is literally what they're doing)
-
I farmed the lvl 4 Trapper challenge in the previous tome because I had absolutely no patience to play Trapper that much and get that many traps in a single game. But apart from that I never farm. It's boring. I either give the last person hatch or just kill everyone off as fast as possible, or if a killer wants to farm with me I signal to throw me on a hook because I don't wanna waste my time...if that doesn't work I just DC lmao.
-
@YEEHAW_Main said:
Would it really be worth it since the harpoon breaks chase? (And doesn't count as a offensive action if it breaks.) AND, you could probably get around loops you wouldn't be able to as 110%, (as in shooting your spear for shots.) Just looking for someone elses opinion.
It's not terrible, but once you go against good survivors if they know what you're trying to do and you're the obsession they will catch on and just stop struggling while being reeled in, so you either break the chain and hit them or you take over 10 seconds for the chain to break followed by a 5 second stun and then getting a sprint burst....all for the sake of going 5% faster.

Uh.. You're joking, right?
Rotten Fields, Shelter Woods, Gas Heaven, Azarov's (If they know what they're doing), the entire Backwater Swamp, and Yamaoka to name a few.
Survivors have Thompsons House, two variations of Badham, a couple of Coldwind/Macmillan maps only if a god loop is open, and technically Haddonfield but nobody brings BL anymore so its kinda bad.
Um in what dimension are rotten fields, grim pantry and Yamaokas estate killer sided? I agree with azarovs which is by far the most killer sided map in the game and maybe sanctum of wrath, but the other ones mentioned are DEFINITELY not killer sided. And every badham map is pretty bad.
-
Her base power and add-ons are now fine, it's the ungodly amount of bugs she has that make her just awful to play. They won't ever get fixed either, because I and many other people know for a fact these dedicated servers will never get better, leaving killers like Myers and Nurse in almost unplayable states.
-
I feel like Freddy could've been a cool killer, but they instead opted for the complete opposite. Incredibly boring, mindless gameplay that anyone can pick up in about 30 seconds and had nothing interesting or fun going for him. It's like he was purely designed to tick off a checklist that killer mains made on Reddit.
