People are kind of idiots about Wraith now. Everything they're complaining about already existed. Wraith already had the ability to constantly catch you out of position, he already got free hits at unsafe pallets if you didn't predrop them, it's just now he also has map mobility so that all of those tactics actually work better.
And even the map mobility was something he had before but it was tied to an add-on that you would've ALWAYS ran if you played Wraith anyway.

you cant pick yourself up with soulguard unless there a hex you do know that right
...exactly, and everyone was freaking out about how much soul guard would counter hex perks. And what happened? Nothing. Nothing happened because nobody ran soul guard. Gonna be the same with counterforce

Did people stop playing Oni or slugging or running hex perks because of soul guard?
There's your answer (answer is no, by the way).

There isn't much they could do aside from implementing gyro aiming for console. You can do it on PC and it feels great if you set it up correctly, it should also be a feature on the consoles and controllers that support it (which is I think is all of them apart from vanilla Xbox One controllers but I'm not 100% sure). Remember that almost any kind of buff they make to Trickster will buff him with KB+M too, and BHVR are worried about making him too oppressive with keyboard and mouse (which has already kind of happened when it comes to chases, it's like you're playing against Old Legion)

The only two I've seen from the forums are @QwQw who was playing Trapper on some Macmillan map, think it was shelter woods, and @CashelP14 and I played Blight on storehouse and I played like crap...it's really weird how you can remember some DbD matches well. I swear this game slowly becomes basically a part of your life once you've played it for long enough.

But there are also skins of other Survivors like Kate / Claudette or Killers like Blight / Huntress. Why have they decided to make challenges of Zarina and the Trapper?
I ask because I don't know if they have something to do with the lore of the Plague and Bill or just completely random.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2239184#Comment_2239184
These Challenges simply encourage farming or even camping, I don't understand why they aren't able to think of Challenges that are really challenges and not a joke.
"Why have they decided to make challenges of Zarina and the Trapper?"
They've ran out of ideas already, there's no other explanation really. Gotta fill up the challenge slots somehow.
-
I find all the ranged killers fun because you're just playing an FPS and don't really have much to worry about apart from your aim. Deathslinger is pretty cathartic, it's just point and click. I'd consider Demo to be kind of a ranged killer too, and he's really fun and easy to play. Can't really go wrong with him, he's fun and strong.
Blight in theory is really fun, but the maps make him miserable to play. That and I'm also tired of him being primarily associated with 'those' DbD players and that's put me off playing him even more.
And what you said about Nurse: to me it sounds like you'll have the most fun in this game playing the killers that consistently win the most, so Spirit might become your favourite killer if you give her a try.

Nooooooo Pig isn't weak, pig is RANDOM. Roll and dice and she's anything from SSS to F tier. Especially lovely when you you're running timer + crate and people get their traps off on the first box.... maybe an consider an addon pass where the first 1 (green), 2 (purple) boxes allways fail to remove the trap.
They would have to re-do how her RBTs work if they were to make add-ons like that. Because the way it works is your box that unlocks the trap is determined randomly when you get a trap put on your head. It's not a random chance at each box, the "key" to the trap is either in that box or it isn't.
I personally think it should be a progress bar of some kind, each box giving you a % towards taking it off (probably between 40% and 55% per box). So you're always gonna be searching more than one box, and only sometimes searching up to 3 boxes.

On some Maps (mainly Haddonfield) Balanced Landing was very, very strong. And instead of changing those broken Maps, they nerfed the Perk. Balanced Landing now is one of the weakest Exhaustion Perks, since it is so situational. (Meanwhile people complain that all Survivors run either DH or Sprint Burst, when the other good Exhaustion Perk was nerfed..)
Hopefully they revert it at some point when they reworked the respective Maps.
They would have to rework a ton of maps for old BL to become even remotely fair, because it had dumb setups on almost every map apart from autohaven and shelter woods. I dread to think how broken old BL would be on Dead dawg or Midwich.
-
You've asked 2 things here. Do you want to know who we think is the easiest killer or the killer we win consistently the most with?
The easiest killer is probably Wraith. He has nothing difficult, no real weaknesses, good at finding survivors, easy to understand...etc. I'd say the other easiest killers (for the top 5) are Bubba, Hag, Freddy and...idk maybe Trapper or Myers? Not that it means much anyway, no killer in this game is mechanically or strategically difficult to learn and play as, they were designed to be very simple.
And I probably win the most consistently with Wraith, if we're talking killers I actually play. I would say Nurse, but I rarely play her because she's just way too good and I prefer actually needing to try for a 4k.
-
I agree about the map, it's gonna be a nightmare to play on for everybody, and the zombies will probably get annoying eventually on indoor maps, but survivor is still fine. So is killer.
And I'm not sure what you're trying to say with the last paragraph. Have you played killer before? But I'm gonna assume you're referring to bloodlust where killers get faster the longer they're in a chase. I agree with that, this mechanic is ######### awful and should be removed, but I think there's more important things they need to address first like map design and spawn RNG being terrible and the core problem of the game's balance.
-
If you think a change like this would stop camping, tunnelling, running 4 slowdowns etc you're delusional lmao. It could be an ok idea but it wouldn't do over half of the things you think it would do.
-
It's so they can have an excuse to keep the perk tiers and keep the grind up. They don't know how to make them incrementally stronger with each tier so they slap on a cooldown and call it a day. A bit of a tin-foil hat theory but I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of the biggest excuses.

I’m just frustrated. I really hate BBQ. I do (or attempt to do) the right things: reach a locker in time, reposition myself on the generator, try to get within BBQ’s blind spot range, get myself near a loop with a pallet ready for the killer.
But quite often I’m quickly screwed or cucked. I’m tired of the idea that somebody ELSE losing their chase punishes other players. And the part where so many killers are putting in zero mental effort to find survivors.
You-....you're tired of the idea that you as a TEAM OF 4 get punished as a result of your TEAMMATES being caught? I'm dying to know what you think of Devour Hope, or Oni as a killer in general lmao.

Oh no, a Killer that isn't free Survivor wins! Let's nerf her so we can get back to what this game is supposed to be!
----
Honestly, I don't know what the obsession is with Spirit. Nurse is just better. And overall, both Killers are hated because the game becomes a SKILL MATCHUP, instead of Survivors being able to hold Shift W and mash Spacebar all the way to victory.
They are the only two Killers in the game with a real counterplay to the pallet/window/loop dynamic. And so, naturally, Survivors wanna gut 'em for it, so we can return to our regularly scheduled program.
Or, and get this, maybe the reason why they're so hated is because everything survivors have learned about the game involving the one thing that's fun (chases) and the skill they've built up over 100s of hours no longer matters because these killers ignore almost all of it. They don't have "counterplay" to windows, pallets and loops, they just outright counter it entirely. Counterplay suggests there's something that the killer and the survivor can both interact with and play around, like for example how Huntress or Demo can zone survivors at loops, play 50/50s at pallets, or GhostFace activating night shroud to force a survivor to guess at a jungle gym, or whatever other killers do. Spirit and Nurse don't have anything that resembles this, they say "######### you" to all of it.

he used to be top tier, but now he’s old hat. Wish he was dangerous to play against. Some guys on this forum say he’s still really good, but we all know that the really good killers are the ones that get played the most. Except trapper, he doesn’t count.
He's still a decent killer, but he's just that: decent. He was only decent before his rework without add-ons, he only became a top tier killer with add-ons, without them he was average and the nerf didn't change that. Honestly Bubba's best builds/add-ons are better than Billy's now (that's a lotta Bs).

"You should be getting roughly the same-skilled survivors with every killer, and on your main you get slightly more-skilled."
What nonsense is this? They're supposedly going to add the MMR on every Killer, right? So if I'm horrible with a certain Killer, am I still going to face good Survivors?
I don't see the point, I thought that if I was bad with a Killer (or had never played it), I would face low-level Survivors, which is what seems most logical to me, the problem with Ranks' system is that if I want to practice with a Killer and I constantly face against good Survivors, it's almost impossible to learn (and also the desire to learn it takes away), with the MMR I thought, and I think it's the most logical thing, that I would face Survivors of "low level "(I'm not referring to Survivors that have 20 hours of play either, but I don't see any reason to face one of 2k hours).
Your fundamental knowledge of DbD carries over to every killer you play, regardless of how much you play them. You should be getting similar-ish results with every killer if you're a good player, and slightly better results with the killer you main. If MMR started at a low score for a killer you don't play that would be terrible for the game and not a logical system at all. An example: Say you almost never play Wraith, but you're a good player and you play a lot of Trapper, Clown, whatever and do really well. You shouldn't be put against bad survivors as Wraith just because you don't play him much, because that's not fair. You'd stomp those survivors without even breaking a sweat because you're a good killer player in general and those skills carry over to every killer.
-
Probably just a coincidence. This isn't even how MMR should work for DbD when it's on. Killer fundamentals carry over to each killer and it doesn't really matter what killer you play if you're good, you're gonna do well with that killer because the mechanical skill floor is so low. You should be getting roughly the same-skilled survivors with every killer, and on your main you get slightly more-skilled. If this isn't how it's gonna work then it's gonna be a disaster but I hope they've thought about how good players have actually become at this game for once.
-
A higher tick rate won't solve DbD's issues. This game is special when it comes to hit reg and hitboxes. Like, REALLY special, and not in a good way. Their initial philosophy was hitreg only needs to be "adequate" in a game like DbD, not "accurate". The problem is the game itself, no amount of extra ticks for their servers is gonna help that.
You also have to consider that last gen consoles can't even handle tickrates like that.
-
I'd prefer he gets a full rework, he's so ######### lame and boring to play. Probably the least interesting and is one of the simplest killers to play, you're just throwing a bottle at the floor and doubling back and eating pallets. I'd also rather chew cardboard than play against one too.

He suffers from maps as much as Trapper does. Trickster is fine on a map that works for him but on a map that hurts him it hurts him a lot. Honestly the only buff he really needs is to let him use main event when he wants instead of that dumb timer. If they buff his base kit more he will be extremely oppressive on maps that he does well on. He will never be a high tier killer, that is just how it is. And yes, I play him at rank 1 and I win most of my games too.
Wouldn't Huntress be a better comparison? I've always thought Trapper has almost no maps that are particularly bad for him, except maybe Lery's, he just kinda sucks no matter what map he gets lmao. Like Hag, who's probably the only killer that doesn't have a bad map imo, but worse.

I’m with you. I hear these absurd stories of “he’s good in the right hands” but no one can ever explain why. I’ve also asked people to explain a single situation in which DS doesn’t down faster; no one has ever responded. The killer is worthless and BHVR should be embarrassed that they thought he was fine to release.
The reason why people will say he's 'good in the right hands' is because any killer is good in the right hands. Someone who's good at killer fundamentally will do fine with every killer in the game, the strength of the power is irrelevant. He is worse than every other ranged killer in the game and there is no reason to play the dude, but you can do well with him if you're a good killer player.
-
Wait I'm confused. Are you talking about killers who camp and tunnel, then lose and blame it on the killer? Or are you complaining that you lost to a killer who was camping and tunnelling lmao. Because if they're winning with their strategy, why change it up? They want to play that way with that killer (and it's evidently working) and they will continue to do so because it's an effective strategy and they care about the win. They adapted to your playstyle, so now you adapt to theirs and slam gens (and run DS and BT) while they're camping and tunnelling and try to trade hooks before they're about to die. Is it fun to play against? No, but that's none of their concern.
-
Your posts still confuse me. Are you like asking why as in why is it a stronger tool, or why as in why have the devs made Wraith's power stronger than Pig's?
And neither killer should get nerfed or buffed based solely on the fact that Wraith is better than Pig. But, Pig could do with some changes, mainly her RNG on her traps to become more consistently better, like Trapper's traps. Because Wraith is a pseudo-stealth killer that has a focus on mobility and chases, whereas Pig is a pseudo-stealth killer that has a focus on slowdown.
-
HsH was barely alive when it came out, but after BHVR announced the Resident Evil chapter, it's never gonna hit more than 1,000 players ever again. It's a shame because I like HsH's gameplay a lot more, but there's no way this game gets even close to being competition for DbD.
Streamers would also have to play a big part in getting this game off the ground, but every "big" DbD streamer tried it once and then never played or mentioned it again.

Stop using RNG incorrectly. They are NOT random. Their behavior is very predictable and you can control and use them in this way, it just takes foresight and thinking more than a few seconds ahead.
??? I don't follow. They literally spawn in random areas of the map at the start of the game and wander around. What good is foresight gonna be when I'm chasing a survivor and there's a zombie on the polar opposite side of Red Forest stuck on a hill lmao.

thoughts pls
I didn't see a mention the zoning potential of Nemesis compared to Demo which is what I focused on, and it's honestly the biggest strength of Demo's shred. Idk, as for my thoughts I like both killers but not for the same reasons. I think Demo is overall the better killer because his second ability is consistently useful. The zombies aren't gonna be useful outside of the very rare hit they'll get for you. On outdoor maps they're gonna be almost useless. On indoor maps they might actually put in some work.

Literally just give it a 2.5 second animation lock after use. Like a Doctor shock. To prevent artificial chase extension via dead harding for distance to a pallet or vault. It should be used for dodging hits. Even that shouldn't be there (survivors should have to get good and learn to atone for their mistakes), but the animation lock would be a decent compromise.
Alright, then people will start dead harding earlier so they don't have to deal with the 2.5 seconds where they can't interact with anything (assuming that's what you mean when you say "animation lock"). Now what? You still didn't fix the problem you have with dead hard which is "artificially extending a chase".

Generator times are not healthy, totem spawn areas not healthy, most maps are not healthy. Did they fixed any of this? No. But when we have fun killer, lets nerf it. So no, PH was never unhealthy.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2230617#Comment_2230617
He is good killer but he is not "top level" that is different. He is avarage. And new Wraith is stronger than him with map mobility. New meta supporting fast map mobility., not fast chases. He is good at chases but he has not good map mobility. That is reason of he is not top level and possibly he will never be.
And you can win as him so many matches because most survivors potato but againts good survivors PH will go to cry. I will not choice PH between PH and map mobility killers if i had to do that.
And that is unrespectul dude. I am saying my opinion and for that you are saying "you're definitely did not played right". I do not know how i prove but i played as him so much, i have him Steam achievements and i have so much 4K as him. But i have better killers, i am just saying that.
Didn't mean to come off as disrespectful I just wanted to get my point across. Mobility is definitely favoured over chase power for most killers but some of them don't really need to move fast. Deathslinger is similar to PH in this regard imo. Their chase powers are so ridiculously strong that you can get away with not having good mobility if you can consistently down people, and imo Slinger and PH are in the top 5 killers next to Blight, Spirit and Nurse. Without the recharge add-ons, Nurse has slower map mobility than a 115 killer but she's the best killer in the game because she's broken in a chase. Doctor can hold a 3 gen really well, if you do this on indoor maps you can't really lose.
-
Nemesis is better at hitting over pallets and in animation locks etc. like the rest of the killer like him are (Demo, PH, Huntress, Slinger), but I think overall shred might be better. The zoning Demo has with shred is so much better than Nemesis' zoning it's not even funny. Nemesis immediately slows down when you enter his power and it has a noticeable cooldown. Demo doesn't get slowed down until about half a second after you ready the shred and the cooldown is nonexistent, so you are quite literally zoning people for free. With the right build this becomes pretty insane.
Nemesis doesn't really have anything on the same level that Demo now has. The range only adds to this, Demo's shred covers around twice the distance of Nemesis power at Tier 3. The only weakness is you can't hit through pallets with shred. Nemesis can hit people over small loops in theory, but you can just crouch and be fine so it's not a threat.
-
With how the servers are it basically already works like this. And idk why you'd want to nerf the aspect of perk that nobody has an issue with lmao
-
You'd have to rebuy the DLC, go through the grind you've already gone through and then some after that all for...something. I don't really see the point of getting it on Steam now if you're still gonna use the Windows Store for other things.
The only thing you're missing out on with the Windows Store AFAIK is the PTB (and mods if those count but we're not allowed to discuss them on here). Idk why you'd go through all that and spend all that money and waste all that time just so you can play a buggy version of the content that comes out 3 weeks later anyway.
-
@Northener1907 said:

Huntress is stronger, she can also hit you behind pallet or when you jump windows. Problem about PH, him power can dodge so easyly. He is clearly m1 killer, sometimes m2 helps him that's all. He still has not map mobility, so he can lose generators so fast. So i do not think he is so strong, avarage killer. There is so much killers stronger than him. For example Spirit, Nurse, Hag, Freddy, Oni, Huntress etc
If you think that Pyramid Head's power is bad because it's slow and reactable, you're definitely not playing him correctly. Whether it's slow or not doesn't make a difference when you play him right, the survivor's gonna get hit almost every time regardless of what they do, which is why people put him in the higher tiers and why he's one of the best killers in the game.

It's not a QoL change, it's an actual buff.
Imagine a survivor hiding in a corner, next to a doorway. Killer comes through the doorway, and due to limited FoV, they don't see the survivor hiding next to the doorway, who can then slip away unnoticed. With the extra FoV, that survivor could get spotted.
You can have an FoV slider as a QoL if its maximum setting matches what is currently in play. Anything that expands FoV is a definite and undeniable advantage.
And how often would this scenario happen? And what if the killer could just see them anyway even with the limited FOV? What if they wouldn't see you even if they had shadowborn equipped, which you wouldn't have any way of knowing as the survivor? And what killer wouldn't be moving their camera around corners and doorways, making it extremely likely they spot the survivor without shadowborn? The advantage of an extra 15 degrees of FOV by default wouldn't change the game's balance at all, and you won't get away with less jukes like that as a survivor just because the killer bumped their FOV up to shadowborn levels.

I mean, 4 survivors each bringing an item that deletes an entire 20*4 seconds of progress off of gens is really strong (That's 20% of the survivors objectives instantly completed just because they brought an add-on). The fact that it doesn't take up a perk slot is even better.

Meanwhile survivors get free perks and information being on comms but let's ignore that and focus on how Shadowborn makes playing killer feel alot more smooth
Not to mention that the advantage you get from a higher FOV literally cannot be measured in any way, shape or form, it gives almost no conceivable advantage, it'd be a QoL change at best. The game wouldn't change at all in terms of balance if killers were given an FOV slider and it's so weird that people are so against a QoL change like this.
-
Balanced Landing. Didn't use anything else until it got nerfed because why would you when you had essentially 2 S-Tier perks for the price of 1. Wasn't broken at all on certain maps or anything.
-
If you hate slugging for the 4k so much just don't do it? You don't have to guarantee a 4k or even slug the last survivor to get a 4k. You're not gonna lose your killer licence for letting a survivor escape via the hatch every now and then.
-
BHVR didn't add any smooth animations, it was a bug where the rate of the menus was twice as fast after a match, which lead to the animations having twice the framerate.
-
That is exactly what I'm looking for. A work of art.
