There is no Nurse skin, because the developers wann kill the Nurse for good.
They don't fix her bugs, they addd a map that is litterally littered with unblinkable areas.
I think the developers regret ever having added her to the game, and just want to forget her.

Sure I bet that the MMR is taking into account killer connection to predict if Imma get hit 2 miles after vaulting and then be face camped till I die
You do realise that they are making hit detection serverside, right? So now the killer can watch their weapon litterally go through the survivor body at point blank range, because on the server thesurvivor was on a totally different spot. So now killers neeed to predict the future, because of latency. And the best part, it often will not even matter, because aim dressing locks your camera! I am predicting a surge of 360s montages in the future.

After Nurse received hers it was confirmed they would be the next ones to get the same thing.
Whether or not that means they'll get butchered or actually helped is anyone's guess but expect basekit changes alongside the addon pass.
Not just basekit changes but "sLiGhT bAsEkIt TwEaKs".
Like 2 ######### 3 seconds cooldowns, new maps littered with deadzones, and servers randomly janking around your chargemeter, or outright taking away your ######### power for good.
Billy mains are so gonna cry like we Nurse mains did.

Nurse is awful on the map, what are you talking about? You can't even Blink down certain hallways because there are random Deadzones.
Yeah haha, I tried exactly that with Nurse, and had the same results.
With every new patch they basically hold up a giant sign saying "DONT EVER DARE PLAY NURSE AGAIN! SHES DEAD!"
-
There is a bug where in the endscreen names are unclickable on PC.
-
A friend of a friend of a friend of mine is tunnelling female characters that wear skirts as Hag, so they can see underwear upon hooking them.
The developers knew what they were doing when they designed the camera position of the killer.

I need the downvote feature back for the forum.

We need a big patch that addresses the long list of killer bugs. It's about time ... the list is not being shortened patch after patch, on the contrary, it is getting longer.
They really need to skip a chapter or two, and dedicate those 3-6 free months to cleaning up their game. No balance changes, not even quality of life changes, but just code optimisation. Rewrite some parts, tweak some parts, and test it all extensively, maybe even with community help, if there is time. In the end we should get a game that runs better (especially on console), has less bugs, is less prone to generate new bugs when new content is added, and free up some hardrive space (the game is 35GB big for some reasons).

Sounds are almost always broken, but this patch is unacceptable. You can play killer with or without your headphones on and it wouldn't make a difference right now.
The devs pushed out a patch, (mind you recently they have given themselves an extra week between the PTB and live) and this is the worst sounds have ever been. It really makes me question if they even care about having sounds work. Either way, they won't get my money until they deliver on a product that is worth the money.
Its funny how the developers evidently use sound as part of their balance effort, incorporate it as part of their core concept of the game (most noticeable the chasemusic), and then every time it gets broken for the killer, they are like "Lets just throw away all our effort and release the patch anyways.".
How are the developer ever gonna balance sound if it never works as intended?
-
They have lied to us.
-
And don't forget that Nurse's power is basically unplayable at times, even after 13 months now.

She would excel on this map if sounds weren't so god awful. I'm usually of the opinion that Nurse is the best killer, but honestly the fact that survivors are almost always not making a sound now, which is arguably the single most important thing to find people as Nurse...
Nurse is absolutely horrible on the new map. Deadzones everwhere, the basement is pointing inwards, so if you make a slight blinking mistake, you instantly go into the cellar, even if you started on the second floor, the map lags even worse than new Lerys, Ormond, and Red Forest combined, which makes 360s her extremely easy, etc etc.
-
Maybe they will release a DLC that includes the soundfiles of survivor footsteps.
Now only 4,99$!
-
The attack happens too fast?
There is litterally a giant red glowing path telling you exactly where its gonna hit. Its even easier than dodging Plague's vomit, which already goes at a snail's pace.
-
I get this all the time as Nurse. I lunge, camera locks on survivor, and my weapons just ... goes through their body without a hit being registered.
It has increased dramatically since the last patch, so I assume they are tinkering with the serverside hit registration, which is as predicted, bound to rob killlers of hits.
-
The best thing is when your game crashes, and the crashreport screen shows up, and then you start the game again, and Behaviour is like "Oh, you crashed? Here, have a queue timeout for our incompetence!"
-
Blinding is clientside for the survivor, so its possible that survivor just had a ######### connection to the server.
-
It goes both ways. Every game I see one survivor with no perks, items, or addons. But ingame I see them use perks with clear indicators, like DS, DH, BT, Unbreakable, Adrnaline, Dead Hard, etc.
-
Sounds get broken every single major update. Its required by law.
-
The map needs alot more indicators, that true. Generators, stairs, holes all need to be indicated better for both killer and survivor.
While the map is probably one of the most exciting ones for new players, for more experienced players who play a but more competetive will get annoyed by its navigation.
-
Judging by how Nurse's bugs are for the most part completely ignored by the developers (unless they benefit the killer, like her Spasmodic Breath addon bug), I don't see how they would care about Billy any more.

I seen exactly what they were puttin down. People have been avoiding "trash" perks for years absolutely refusing to use them.
My point was yeah if you're leveling a new character and want every meta perk immediately then that's what you do. But it is literally a moot point after you have everything else in the game. And one extra perk isn't too big a deal.
I have a collectors mind set, so I unlocked everything. But I feel it's a sad state of affairs when people always fall back on ol reliable. Part of the fun is using what you have.
I do sometimes shake up my builds with new perks. However there is a difference between niche use clutch perks like Surge, or outright useless perks like Cruel Limits (there is no point defending an area where the generator is already finished, unless it was the last generator).
-
I had a game as killer with that hatch. I could close it without problem, but the survivors told me you can't jump into it.
Definetely needs a fix.

Or just, like, run? If there's only one decent tile in the area, you put yourself in a deadzone, and that's really your fault. He's designed to disrupt the meta. Right now, the meta is loops and DS/BT/DH. Learn how to play another way besides only relying on them, and you'll win against him easily.
The survivor meta shall not be disrupted in any way. This is required by law.
You can see that by how the strongest survivor perks are all from 2016, or early 2017.

@SpookyStabby If only we could ...

If you plan on P3'ing a character you'll have every teachable regardless.
You can evade picking 2 teachables though. Surge is an alright perk, so I willingly took it from Demo. However I bypassed Mindbreaker, and Cruel Limit successfully until now ....
-
Yeah, after fully prestiging 10 or 11 killers, it just becomes a job to prestige the rest as well.
-
Behaviour doesn't care about long term player retention. They only care about money now.
-
This is a bug?
Today I played Amanda, Myers, and Spirit on the new map, and I always heared the siren during the EGC. I thought this was a map feature?
My suggestion would be getting rid of the endgame ambience music for the killer, becase it interfers with the siren.
-
Strickly speaking one only holds the game hostage if the other player(s) are forced to disconnect to escape the match. Keeping someone slugged for 4 minute is not holding hostage, because you are on a timer.
Hostage situations would be: Trapping one of the last 2 players in a corner without an active EGC. For killer thats simply bodyblocking in the corner, for survivor that requires exploits, which the game has a multitude of.
-
Us Nurse mains have been getting used to getting shadownerfed every update by now.
Its disheartening to see that other killers follow suit now ..-
-
The game never left its early access state from 2016.
- Optimisation is still incredible bad (especially on console).
- Every bigger update is plagued with so many bugs. Some parts of the game are particularly hit hard by this, like sound or killer powers.
- Hitboxes and netcode are especially bad. The developers's excuses that its done for "performance reasons" hold no ground, considering that every modern game nowadays has atleast some degree of accurate hitboxes for their characters. This becomes an incresingly pressuring issue with ranged killers like Huntress, or Deathslinger.
- Animations do not reflect the hitboxes. For example an injured survivor, who's leaning forward while running, has the same hitbox as an healthy survivor. Which is misleading to an observer.
- Its notoriously easy to cheat, hack, exploit, and abuse in this game. Both with and without coding skills applied.
The game just had its 4th anniversity, and not a single problem in the list is even remotely close to being fixed. The game is one of the most popular games on Steam according to Steamcharts, so I can't imgine the developers struggling on the financial side.

WIggle meter was 35% for non-obsession, thats 5,6 seconds. Until you hit the skillcheck, it was probably already effectively at 50%. Which means the wiggle got halfed for the non-obsession. Unless the killer was greedy for the basement or someone body blocked, this pretty much never came into play.
All DS stuns could be heavily mitgated by Enduring, or possibly outright avoyed by Unnerving presence. Thus all counterplay of DS got removed. Slugging or not "tunnelling" is not a counter, since DS still does its job, which is giving the survivor godmode.
Combined with the fact that DS is now labbelled as "anti-tunnel" perk, and thus survivors no longer feel bad for running it, my conclusion is that it got buffed with its rework.
-
Yeah, its really irritating. I personally rebound the hook sturuggle to my mousewheel to partly get around that annoying part of the game.
-
Telling people to not play the game simply because the devlopers are too greedy to put a server near one is a really dick-ish statement.
You have latency in EVERY online game, and in all of them people with high ping are at an advatage. Why is Dead by Daylight an exception?
-
Because it generates more sales, simply as that.
-
Whether I am greedy on pallets or not as survivor for me depends on where the generators are. If we already did the generators in an area, or none of them spawned there, I will play safe on them to avoid giving the killer pressure. However pallets between generators are valuable and should be conserved. Especially if the generators spawnws hugging a loop (common on Autohaven), or spawns in a jungle gym. I sometimes would rather go down than use those pallets.

I understand that is frustrating for you when it happens.. But its part of the game, if the killer chooses to play like so he is free to do it since the game allows it. You should try some anti-slugging perks like unbreakable and everytime you see a downed survivor and the killer focusing on someone else you should try to prioritize healing the downed survivor to avoid the situation where 3 survivors are down and the last one being chased.
There are also alot of other pathethic methods that killer will use in order to win like Hook Camping and Tunneling one survivor untill he dies.
In my opinion you should try to play as much SWF as possible. Games will get alot easier for you and your chances for survival will increase drastically if you can communicate with your team.
Also try using the "meta" perks for survivors which are considered "OP" by alot of crybaby killers. Those perks are meta perks for a reason and everyone uses them not because they are OP but because it counters most of those pathethic/annoying methods that killer use in games.
Here are some examples:
Anti-slugging: Unbreakable
Anti-hook camping: Borrowed time
Anti-tunneling: Decisive Strike
Also keep calm and dont get to frustrated with all this stuff.. A killer has to play 1v4 and sometimes thats too much pressure for some guys to handle. The best way to counter them is to find ways to be more frustrating to them than they are to you; So use everything at your disposal to do so.
Hope this helped you and good luck in your next games!
If killrushing is pathetic, then genrushing is pathetic too. It serves no other purpose than to make the life of the other side as miserable as possible.
But no, survivor-mains say its just "doing the objective optimally".
So by your own definition, a slugging camping tunnelling killer is also just "doing their objective".
Pathetic.
-
I had a bunch of bad matches as killer as well today. On 3 seperate occassions, I got lagswitching survivors that pulled the cord of their Internet when I was about to hook them, to lock me in animation. I couldn't even slug them, because they all ran Unbreakable, No Mither, Saboteur etc. Two of them got away, because their teams did gens optimally.
-
Love the double standards in this forum. Lagswitching killers = bad; lagswitching survivor = no problem.
Just today I got 3 seperate survivors that pulled the plug on their Internet in key moments to get an advantage. Its bad enough that they can become litterally unhookable with lagswitching (killer gets locked in animation), but I also learned that they can deny a lockergrab by cutting their Internet for a moment as well. Don't get me started on flaghlight saves, which are also clientside for thr survivor (meaning they can lagswitch it).

@twistedmonkey said:
There is a region lock but they circumvent that by using a VPN for the region they wish to play in.
They are working on the servers so that those doing this won't gain an advantage anymore and if anything be disadvantaged.
And putting everyone else also at an disadvantage in the process.

The risk of using DS is that the killer is smart and knows how to not press space.
You don't get tunneled then. DS still did its job. No risk, it always works.
-
Both killer and survivor can lagswitch. However the developers only plan on tackling lagswitching killers in the foreseeable future.
-
You get 1500BP in the survival category right on the spot.

Where's all that coming from? Please, point out how any of that's relevant to what I actually wrote and not what you imagined I said.
No, I make up stories myself in my head. I sometimes do however take other people's stories as inspiration, but thats about it.
I assume my free spirit is outside of the norm in today's society, but thats okay for me.
-
Killrushing (better known as "camping", "tunnelling", and "slugging") are all valid strategies.
They are the counterpart of generatorrushing.
Both intent to make the game as short as possible, take less skill to acomplish, and are generally unfun for the otherside.
I don't see why playing optimally for one side is so frowned upon, but for the other side its just "doing their objective". It makes no sense to me.
-
Personally, I feel indifferent about this. Like for me personally it doesn't matter what the official lore of a character is, because I make one myself for my favourite characters anyways. Thanksfully the multitude of cosmetics help me with that approach. But if people want lore pressed on themselves by a corporation, sure do whatever makes you happy.
