Friday the 13th did something similar or was planning to with players gaining a salt level based on bad behaviours, and enough salt put you in the salt mines, a matchmaking system for people with the same or more level of salt. Good behaviour slowly removed salt and you could then return to normal mm away from the salt mines.
I thought that was neat. -

I'm hoping the pilot program does open to others to apply. I'd like to see how it'll expand and hope it's not just big streamers allowed. I know they said something of the like that viewership won't matter and that's great! But time will tell.

I want to point out that survivors pip regardless if they escape. In fact it's really easy. I routinely die and I usually pip at least once a match.

Been thinking on that. If a spider killer wasn't directly a spider but a humanoid hybrid type. Upright like a human but with weird appendages sticking out at angles and a spidery visage draped in rotten silken robes and shrouds. My guess is fear of the IP being mishandled and given a crazy chef cosmetic. Though its also likely a rework of the contract and that can bring all sorts of roadblocks. I know the devs would be all for it but sadly the ones holding the license of the characters likely want more money lol.

Technically I don't see how my comment was offensive. Even if they did take her advice, is that inherently bad? From my understanding they did an open letter response directly to her regarding it. But if I'm wrong then gladly! I'm not actually against the change. But I do feel you came at me with negative intent and if you truly were offended then I apologize. Sometimes the way things are written are not the same when spoken.

That's actually good to hear. While it came off passive I meant it sincerely because I'm not stupid to the ways of PR. It sounds similar to the warframe partner system. From what I can tell it's designed to get people watching the bigger streamers over smaller ones, as those labeled with fog whisperer status will be given some FAQ knowledge to share with viewers and codes to give away.
And it's not open for anyone to apply yet. For now they hand picked 10 streamers for it. If it goes well they'll open to potential new streamers but it was vague what would be accepted. -

I mean I'm surprised people wait for bl3. It's not hard to use bl1 or 2 and just mind game if need be. or break off and find a new target. Being a killer is about time management afterall.

I mean I'm indifferent to it. I don't think my chases ever get to blood lust 3 before I down them or turn off to another target. But that's what stood out to me, a bunch of streamers on YouTube discussed it and I saw angry debates. Then suddenly it's being worked on.

All I know is they're nerfing it because Jendenise asked for it. I remember that whole debate going on based on her asking the devs on twitter and their response being positive towards it.

I'm saying that as an example it helped the game which was dying.
If I recall didnt the F13 devs just recently roll out dedicated servers? Amidst financial issues and essentially unable to do anything monetarily with the game in the future. Is that a more palpable comparison for you? -

I mean, I disagree. Dedicated servers are a better investment for a game. Look at For Honor, it was P2P and had the exact same issues with bad connectivity. Refusal to go dedicated servers is a bad idea. We won't get them anytime soon but we should get them eventually. Even if it takes a year or two. But to completely avoid it, it's just bad design.

I get it on PC, connected via ethernet cable. I have really good internet connectivity too so I'm unsure what causes it.

I mean, as I told my stream, I'm not expecting it. Alot of people think it will be but I they haven't announced anything and purposefully said last week they won't announce a date then. Thursday seems more likely but I'm honestly expecting next week or the week after.
Which is mildly depressing. But not surprising. -

Theres still a decent number of killer ideas to use. They also talk alot about lists of powers and perks and that they have alot of ideas. So theres gonna be more after this year for sure.

Thing is technically everything made by the devs is ok. This includes camping and tunneling despite how many of us try to avoid it. Personally I try to avoid it. However what kills me is when people get upset over perks. Decisive strike or noed, both are fine and you just have to play around it. Regardless they were made to be played sk they'll get played.

It's not just that when people come in it has no indication its swf, its that largely it isn't swf. So it's not so much as you causing a few solo survivors grief by dodging, you're actually skewing data and scrambling it to be something inaccurate. You're not telling the devs "oh look killers seem to leave everytime its a swf" you just tell them killers leave at random intervals.
Point is, you're avoiding a game, with no actual proof it'll be terrible, to send a message that actually says nothing.
I can understand how comms might upset you but as someone who plays killer I've murdered my fair share of swf and it makes no difference. It's like survivors who D/C on being downed, why do it? Play a game, practice, treat each match as something to work with and gain from.
Or don't, and nothing changes. Survivors will just move on and you'll eventually move on and nothing will happen. It's a protest in stagnation. -

Ya trying to grind out the bps for the new chapter but also I still need to put alot into my killers. It always surprises me how much I still have to do for each killer and that's not counting the survivors. But at least I love the game enough to bash my head against it over and over and over.

I don't think DS is OP, as killers we have to be smart about time management, which is a hard thing in and of itself. I never chase anyone that -wants- my attention because I know they have the confidence to out run me.
But also I'll do the same, go in with BT and make sure the others get out before me.
Despite the frustrations of competition, you're all amazing and hope your games go well! -
Theres nothing apart from reporting that will stop the jerks and bullies from being that, but I find that if you try to take the positive road and rise above it, even to those jerks, you do a great job of fighting it. Remember that positivity starts with us.
Look for like minded people if need be. Don't associate with the bad ones if possible. End game chat can be toxic but it can be pleasant as well.
We're all in this game together having fun. -

Well in a similar thread I posted two ideas.
My first is an original scarecrow killer, using a sickle for a weapon. His map is a haunted pumpkin patch filled with rotten jackolanterns and hay bales. As for his power, I'm thinking either he spawns in with several scarecrows that let him teleport to and jump in and hide. The other power is using a murder of crows to aura reveal survivors.
My second interest is in a spider killer, and after seeing Identity V I believe it could happen now. Have her as a hybrid of humanoid spider, maybe make it so she can web pallets to prevent them from being dropped, Windows and possibly shoot web traps out? Not sure there.
I'd also love a cultist high priest, one who worshipped the Entity in the real world and was brought into the Fog for his services rendered. Make sacrificing a focus of his power.
Just rough ideas. -
I don't think it's all that bad. Certainly there's rough matches and people do all sorts, but I mean it's not something to get truly upset over, is it? Surely you all must have had some good matches in your time playing this game, right?

Man idk I adore this game. Sure it's not perfect but please tell me a game with zero bugs and flaws during its entire lifespan? There isn't one. And balance is rare in any game. From pretty much any games forums, people say it's unbalanced. League of legends? It's unbalanced. World of Warcraft? Unbalanced. Guild wars 2? Unbalanced. Friday the 13th, Evolve, fortnite, etc etc. There's going to be balance issues in every. Single. Game. Christ Chess has balance issues.
Why can't my king piece move more than one square? It's stupid. Nerf the queen piece NAOW!!!

Issue is too though, even a new licensed killer, it's unlikely any cosmetics could be done with them. Original killers can have all sorts of cosmetics which means more revenue for them so I suspect original killers are priority

Well I recall them saying they didn't have licensed killers planned, but if one presented itself ready (I.e. being negotiated to use) they'd do it. That say I really think the 3 killers of this year are all original concepts.
It's really funny you guys point out the spider, because I was saying that should be one Then noticed the Identity V one and it's a mix of humanoid and spider, so think Hag in terms of feral killer design. I'd be in love. And all the cosmetics would be cool.

Ya I've been wondering this. Lately I figured more people were playing killer, but it seems really weird that at any rank, from 17 onwards at least, the que times are like 10-15 minutes.
During the day, typically when the European crowd is active, (I play on eastern time) I figured there would be survivors but it took forever. But then in the evening it was the same deal. Is it really just more people as killer or bugged lobbies?

I once felt bad and chased a nurse for 2 minutes who for some reason didn't want to kill me. I had to eventually give up, defeated, and escape alive. That defeat still haunts me to this day.

First off, I do enjoy playing stealthy. Only perk I use for stealth is urban evasion and I manage to outstealth bbq and other perks often enough. Not always.
As for the future of the game, I see the reasons why they're moving more towards action. Stealth prolongs the game at no real risk and thus doesn't truly offer the appropriate award. While Sure, you're not hiding in a closet, but hiding the whole time and never engaging isn't really playing the game unless it's a true Hide and Seek game, which I don't think dbd is.
That said, stealth is atm and in the future, a skillful approach that won't work all the time but can work some of the times and that's a good thing. I think the Devs are making the right decisions moving to quicker gameplay.
