Damn, BHVR are really putting in the hard yards to make the 10th anniversary year one for me to forget!
But I can't say I didn't see this coming. Between bringing the ban hammer down on half of the most active forum members and adding the down vote button so that any discussions voicing unpopular opinions sink like a lead balloon, is it really any wonder why nobody bothers coming here these days?
Taking the forums out back less than a month on from the big 10th anniversary love-in is certainly… A choice. Just in time for Halloween as well, which is basically like Christmas day to horror fans. Honestly, I can't think of a more BHVR way for them to have Killed off the forums.
Not a great look, is it? It doesn't show much in the way of appreciation for some of your most passionate players.
Yeah, that's something. A lot of stuff made the coexistence here in forums more harsh than it should be… Down votes were a big part of this. Although i'm open to discussion, i usually laugh to down votes because most of the times they were used to bully or to shut down discussion, instead of promoting consensus.

Archiving the forums would be the best thing. There is so much discussion here that is hardly find anywhere on the dbd community.
If someone find a way to download their post, give me a hello. I would like to save my topics and discussions.

I'm split between Knight and Unknown. Love their design so much that both are two of my most played characters in this game.

Cogs has a good point here.
While you mentioned that survivors has gotten basekit this and basekit that, alongside a near worthless anti-camp measure (that can be easily bypassed), the reality is that playing survivor outside of custom matches, or god forbid if you play soloQ or anything less than a 4-man SWF these days, you will have to sweat your bums off, and can't afford a single mistake to stay on par with recent killer releases, even if you run full meta perk builds. That is not fun or extiting gameplay anymore, it feels like a chore. To make a counterpoint to your argument, what has killers actually gotten over the years, especially since 6.1.0
- Much slower healing speeds, and especially self-healing on the survivor side.
- 90 second gens, up from 80 seconds.
- Many, many perk buffs, and add-on buffs.
- Complete reworks, often leading to much stronger kits.
- Much less safe pallets for survivors.
- Less strong window setups for survivors.
- More aura read perks, and lots of them.
- Many of the strong survivor perks from the past are now heavily nerfed.
- Ghoul, and subsequent outright broken strong releases (with the exception of Springtrap).
- Smaller maps
Another counterpoint is that, while the general survivor playerbase has developed a better understanding, so has the killer playerbase. The only time the survivor side is stronger is at the very top of the MMR bracket, like the 0.5% level or so. But for the more average players, the killer side is undoubtedly sronger as it currently is. They need to mess up royally in order to lose games.
We could be in this discussion forever but.. to make a counterpoint of your counterpoints:
- We don't have old medkits self healing speeds but we have things that can be close or even better, like Resurgence, Do No Harm, We'll Make it is still strong, and the new Lend a Hand + Circle of Healing can lead to very fast heals too. Also, you can combo Botany + Medkit to heal yourself in normal speed or even use the skillcheck addons. Altruistics heals have never been faster
- 90s gens but there is a plenty of toolboxes and gen rush perks available
- As many many perk nerfs and almost every popular addon from newer killers nerfed
- I agree, but they hard went from C tier to A+ tier - with exception of Billy. Most of the time killers go from very weak to average strength
- Pallet density incresed the amount of pallets and many of them are still safe. TBH, this is one of the biggest issues the current killer experience have
- Some maps still have very strong windows, like Crotus Pren Asylum
- Alright. But aura perks
- But they got many other strong or at least good perks like Finesse, Champion of Light, Five Moves Ahead, Cross Examination, Do No Harm,
- Killers who had been nerfed - like Krasue and Henry - or had their best addons nerfed - like Jason.
- Smaller maps with pallet density
I'm not saying "killer is impossible". Killer is better now than it was years ago, this is a fact. I'm just saying that the affirmation that killers can easily win most of their matches is more due to bad MMR than due to the state of balance. I've been playing a lot of SoloQ recently and i've seen survivors throwing matches in the most diverse aspects, going for save when they shouldn't, greeding a gen in front of a instadown killer, refusing to heal against an Oni or a Wraith, etc etc. And when i'm with friends, i don't feel at any disadvantage - or at least i know with who to complain with LOL.

Its because some people here dont care about winning on survivor and would never put in the hard work to sweat on it.
Of course you think survivor is fun if you run a meme build and laugh as you die at four gens.
Whats annoying is that some of the same people will constantly push the killer underdog narrative because thats the role they actually try on and constantly beg for nerfs and parrot CC opinions to the T.
It makes a lot of discussion pointless off the rip, especially if you try to voice any survivor related complaint at all. And totally why I find 'both sides' players here largely disingenuous.
But if you want to sweat on survivor you form an Swf with meta perks, which most agrees its the strongest thing in this game. Do you want to sweat on SoloQ?

I really don't understand the issue and how some people can be so miserable with the game and still be attached to it. For both roles i still have fun, even if i take some breaks here and there when a good game releases or if i just get tired of the game.

Should you have an "easy time" against decent opponents though? Genuine question. Maybe it's a sign of my age (older millennial, been gaming for a long time) but I've always felt like the better player should win. Or at least be harder to win against. And that goes for both roles btw.
Of course not. If both sides are equally skilled, both sides should have to earn the victory. If you are going against a decent survivor team and you are a decent killer player, the match shouldn't be easy, as it shouldn't be impossible to win. Now, if you are a decent killer player going against very bad survivor, then of course you will win, even with very weak killers.
No, you shouldn't have an "easy victory", as many claim here that they have when they play killer. That's what i'm addressing.

"Easier than ever" doesn't mean just plain easy. There's no more gen tapping, no more infinites, no more insta completing BNPs, anti-tunnel keeps getting nerfs, and every new killer that drops is powerful, which is a big part of it. Add in the recent nerfs to survivor meta and the ones on the horizon and it is indeed easier than ever—and about to get easier.
Easier was a way to say it, but people have been calling "easy", usually "so easy that its boring". Many here say this.
Yeah but we need to remember that now killers have to deal with Basekit Endurance - now with elusive -, anti-camp system, a strong meta - even after nerfs, specially in healing and gen speed -, no more hook grabs, 8 gen kick limit, nerf in perks like Pain Ressonance, Pop, Ruin, Dead Man Switch, Eruption, Call of Brine, etc. Also, some cheese builds got destroyed, like old Spirit with her addons, Starstruck Nurse, Forever Freddy, etc etc
Survivor got a lot better and know how to use their resources much more than years ago. Even a common lobby have at least one good looper - and we need to remember that when both sides are experienced, things tend to be stronger on the survivor side.
People tend to exaggerate on how "easier" killer is just because they don't have to deal with OG Decisive and OG Dead Hard but survivor got a lot of buffs, QoL and new perks in the recent years.
-
It should only work if the same survivor is hooked twice in a row, with small or even no downside, only once per match. This would make the perk only work on real tunneling scenarios, not when alternating hooks between 2 or 3 survivors.

Nobody is “dominating” as killer after a few hours of play. I’ve been playing killer for a long time and I consistently face good survivors that provide plenty of challenge.
How are you coming to this conclusion? Are you dominating as killer yourself? I’d be curious to see your hours played as killer and kill rate stats if you’re willing to share. This a common trend here. People have been saying that "killer is easier than ever" but as far as i know, people who plays killer regularly aren't having an easy time against decent survivors, specially if they are playing lower tier killers. I wonder if this is something related to regions, time of the day or whatever it might be.

The game can be quite fun in the beginning, specially when you focus more or learning than winning or losing. Try to find some friends to play with and your will experience will be even better.
-
TBH, there is not much could be done in that situation. I usually got to the gates and get them out because my time is valuable.
Don't take it as personal, as people can have whatever reason to do that. The best thing we can do is just accept the defeat, finish the trial and go to next match.
Edit: also remember: sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. This is part of any game.

Ever since I've started playing Dead by Daylight, i have the really bad habit of taking the game so seriously and taking everything that happens in a match to heart if i ever go against toxic survivors or toxic killers and i just blindly assume that everyone that plays this game is toxic or has beef against me if i have one negative experience against another player if they are tunneling me or tea bagging against me as a survivor and if i have a bad match as killer or survivor then i just quickly assume that I'm just terrible at the game and i'll never improve, i just constantly worry about every match and look at the negatives instead of the positives, how do i stop taking this game so seriously?
From killer perspective: try to see your matches in a group, not isolated. I had days were i had 10 wins and i was very bitter for one loss. Its hard to say "its just a game, don't bother" because i can understand why we get envolved when we put time and energy into something.
Most of the time survivors aren't being toxic, they are just trying to get into your mind. Think about this provocation as mindgame which you shouldn't fall for.
As playing survivor, if you are playing SoloQ there is so many things out of your control that you shouldn't bother with win or losses - althought this is not an easy task.
Dbd is quite a hard game to master. Keep playing to enjoy the game and you will get better overtime.
-
I'm not a singularity main but i've watched a lot of them. One of the most common tips for Singu was to overwhelm the survivors with tags, making them waste EMPs as they possible can. This way EMPs don't feel too oppressive.

Every time I see a thread, a video, a social media post or something else about the Judgment, I have to giggle.
Why?
Because the Judgment is the community killer. Isn't it ironic?
To be fair, BHVR did their thing with the original voted power. It was meant to be a frontal beam of light, but they have decided it was far too strong and easy to use, so they have been changing how the power works since then. But yeah, since the first demonstration of the power i've been saying this killer would be hated by the same community who voted for it (I love Judgment, but i am the minority).

Dark Arrogance: the PERFECT PERK! It feels so good to use now. Considering diminishing returns, its okay when paired with other M1 cooldown reduction perks, but it should be monitored. In case the M1 cooldown reduction is considered too much, this perk could be change to increase basic speed on basic break on pallets to 20% (Brutal could be buffed to 30% to compensate). I really love this perk and hope it makes out of the PTB.
Knock Out: too much hindered. Maybe it could be 12%. Could not active if you stun the killer with the pallet. Need some notification on the survivor side that if you leave the pallet in the next 6s it will trigger the hindered.
Unbound: Feels perfect with Dark Arrogance. Personally, i liked the 5% for 25s rather than the current 7%. It could be 30s, considering it only activates when injuring a survivor.
Undone: Great update. Considering the stacks can be saved, its a nice perk. I would suggest to increase max stacks to 4, but i its okay the way it is.
Whispers: feels great. Maybe could be receive a 5 or even a 10% increase, considering it won't be used in chase. Also, consider more of this kind of perk that helps lower mobility killers to traverse the map.
Help Wanted: Perfect buff, nothing else to say.
Machine Learning: Considering it would be paired with Help Wanted most of the time, it could be changed to 7~5% speed boost for 120s - keeping the undectable 60s -, specially since you can't "stack" the effect with kicking gens while its active or even stack with other haste perks.Dissolution: a heavy nerf. I understand the reasoning behind - mostly due to Ghoul - but i believe it shouldn't be nerfed the way it was. Krasue will be heavily impacted by this change. Anyway, it is meant to keep only for basic attacks, at least keep it 20s.
Blood Favor: same as Dissolution, now besides Ghoul and believe Jason was part of the issue too. At least make it work when a hit results in a survivor in a dying state, otherwise it will be worse than launch.
Dominance: Perfect. I've always wanted this perk to be more useful. Perfect change.
Shattered Hope: Surprisingly, a very good change. Will be used in totem builds with Undying for at least 40s of totem protection.
Thrill of the Hunt: a heavy nerf, but very needed one. Considering there will be new forms of protecting totems without stalling the match around totems.
Nothing but misery: good change.
Ravenous: perfect change. Would like to see more changes like this in the future.
Scourge Hook: Monstruous Shrine: Could have a lasting effect of 15s to 20s if you still are 24m away from the hook. Its not uncommon to get an insta save while trying to get value of the perk.
Unrelenting: a nice buff. Its a new player perk but still will be good.
Big W patch.
-
My personal feedback:
This is not happening: very good for beginners and can have some use in great skillchek builds, although it can be """problematic" when paired with Hyperfocus. Personally, i believe Hyperfocus should be reworked to not be that problematic.
Road Life: good perk now. If you are good with skillchecks you get a free heal while doing a gen.
Stake Out: I'm unsure about this one. The pre-requisites feel harsh but it also have a very good effect. It also works as a reverse whispers since you can triangulate the killer position by analyzing when the perk activates. I'm only concerned this perk might have a good effect if 4 survivors bring it. It should be pushed to live the way it is but monitored on how well it will perform.
Windows of Opportunity: it shouldn't be changed, nerfed or buffed. Its a nice SoloQ perk. I personally believe it should be kept as it is in current live servers with the increase vault speed or the removal of aura reading on pallets.
Five Moves Ahead: Same as WoO.
Spine Chill: good change.
Boon Illumination: very good change. Could have some base speed to increase booning a white totem for like 20% without boons being active, considering you are using a perk slot for a perk that doesn't do much on itself.
Shoulder the Burden: the best change on this patch. Its mostly used by high level coordinate survivor to control the macro play of the match. I personally believe it should only work once per match and if the same person is hooked twice in a row, with lower penalties for those "shouldering" the hook stage. Its quite a problematic perk and i believe its a good change.
Small Game: good change. You are basically exchanging using a perk slot instead of map. Considering diminishing returns exist, could have a 10% speed increase for cleansing and booning.

Hide. The. Chat.
It's what I do if I dont want to see said messages, or go on anon, also Bullying also usually always refers to survivors just fighting back, it's such a nonsense term when used in that context too because what do you expect people being targetted by a KILLER to do, roll over and take it? Ofc they are going to fight back and in most cases altruism can end in an easy 3-4k lol
We'd probably have less toxicity if extreme tunneling and slugging was dealt with coz no one would feel spiteful on survivor side over time. It doesnt feel good playing casually with friends and someone gets singled out and is forced to do nothing. At least the killer can still play.
Half the time it's people putting a stick in their own bicycle. Its not that simple like "hide the chat". I'm not talking about "gg ez" or "nice try" stuff, i'm talking about people wishing DEATH onto family members or telling killers to kill themselves just because they disliked the match. This kind of behaviour shouldn't be normalized, even if the person close the chat.
No, its not "fighting back", its purposely drawing the killer to an area to Head On, chain blind, emote on a pallet to get a save, etc etc. Usually these types got out their way to make newer killers miserable and insta DC when they see the killer knows what they are doing. Again, its mostly done against newer killer players, who don't know how to properly counter or react in those situations.
We'd probably have less toxicity if extreme tunneling and slugging was dealt with coz no one would feel spiteful on survivor side over time. It doesnt feel good playing casually with friends and someone gets singled out and is forced to do nothing. At least the killer can still play.
As killers starts to tunnel, slug and camp because they go against that type of survivors and start to become toxic too. This arguments leads nowhere. And if "camping, slugging and tunneling" is enough to make you to personally attack someone in a videogame, there is bigger issues than DBD itself.

People can have chill Killer games, if they are chill themselves. People who talk about "Killer Anxiety" are usually sweating and want to win. And you cannot play the game to win all the time and then want chill games.
And honestly, if playing a game REALLY gives them anxiety, they might not want to play the game.
TBH, i've seen that a big part of that anxiety comes with ""bullying"" in matches and post chat verbal abuse.
Although i've understood with time how to deal with it, i think is a real problem, particullary for newer players, considering there is even harassment outside game, specially against streamers.

I will start off by saying that I have been having a ton of fun playing the judgement and since the recent buffs judgement had before I did question why they made the zealous curve 0.8 but I really liked the 0.3 non-zealous curve.
The non-zealous curve actually made it fairly difficult for survivors to dodge the beam instead of the judgement having to rely a decent amount on luck and the beam was more responsive as a result of the non-zealous curve. Considering that the zealous curve is back to 0.6 (which I’m happy about), I’m hoping that the 0.3 curve returns because it makes the most sense for it to come back now since it is half of the buffed curve and if there was a final change I’d make to the judgement I think it would be that!
And if this post perhaps influences the devs to bring the non-zealous curve back then I would be incredibly happy.
Yeah, curve on normal mode (outside of Zealous) felt good since it reduced the dependence on Zealous, specially now that people have been throwing themselves at me to """"dodge"""" the beam. Since her tunneling potential got nerfed and its so easy to take someone out of Exile - you can't interrupt the action if they do it in your face and there is at least two active statues all the time - i personally believe the curve outside of Zealous wasn't too much an issue.
But since she is new and its hard to grasp if her is too powerful or too weak due her unique mechanics and gameplay, i believe they could wait some months to change her, if necessary.

BHVR just stated that the kill rates skyrocketed with the last change, and that the Judgment is a "growing issue". I am sure there is a way to spin that to align with "not that bad", and "don't know how people struggle against her", though. Go on, have a go.
They could be saying the true that her killrates skyrocketed- which i doubt, since 4 out of 5 of the few Judgments I've went against hardly knew how to aim the beam - but personally i believe the growing discussion about her being stronger than Nurse were the decisive point to make them revert the changes.
She is hard as hell and people are getting the grip on how to dodge her beams. For the majority of the killer player base - which are casual players - she isn't attractive, specially since she plays a game of her own and the skill floor with her is so high.
I personally believe will take months before Judgment becomes a real threat with high killrates.
As far as i know her killrate on unofficials site did not have a bigger boost since the 0.8s change

In pub matches people accuse others of "tunneling" even when its a 12 hook game.I say this about a few things, but I really don't think people should take seriously what people say in end game chat. Some players are just trolls who will say something negative and others are just emotional/heated after an intense game and overreacting to what happened.
Which, to kind of get around to my point and I think @Aven_Fallen - whenever people discuss this is in a calm manner, there are pretty clear definitions drawn of where tunneling is. Does it vary person to person? Sure, but people are generally able to establish what they view as problematic and not just use it as a buzz word.
BHVR's job should have been to cut through that and establish a clear line. They did it with anti-camp, players had, and still do, widely differing definitions of camping, but BHVR drew clear lines where they thought it was a problem. With anti-tunnel they failed to do that in a pretty shocking fashion, but it is something that they easily could have been done.
But that's the issue: its not an anti-camp system, its an antifacecamp system. That why it works. Many claim it doesn't work as an anti camp system because they don't like what this system allow.
I've said endgame chat because its a common thing people calling whenever they dislike about a killer behaviour as tunneling.
Its not clear about anti-tunnel. Some people claim that killing someone with 6 hooks still is tunneling and shouldn't be allowed; other believes a kill with 4 hooks is fine. People have been saying things about "tunneling" without even trying to define what is tunneling.

The first version could have been tweaked. No issue with that. Decreasing the punishments, increasing the rewards for not tunneling, changing values when it applies… Maybe making it more dynamic like taking Gens remaining into account. This could have been done.
Because nobody has a problem with a Killer who is tunneling/camping/slugging for pressure because they are starting to lose the game. It is the tunnels at 5 Gens which are the problem. And those should be the things which should be fixed. But there is exactly nothing. And the worst part is that mainly Killers tunnel who dont even need it…
@Topic:
I honestly give nothing on a "We hear you" from BHVR when it comes to Survivor issues. Survivors get thrown a bone sometimes but thats about it. We just saw it with the latest Patch - Vigil basically deleted. Sprint Burst nerfed so much that nobody uses it anymore. And the bone was 1 second extra on Adrenaline… A perk you might not even get to use.
When it comes to Survivor, BHVRs words mean nothing.
EDIT: The last "We hear you" was basically the change to Judgment that you dont spawn next to her when coming out of Exile… Which, as they mentioned, is not the Killers fault if they tunnel. Seems like it was the Survivors fault then if they spawn next to the Killer while having almost no Tunneling Protection. And since this could not have been done alone, they also gigabuffed her.
(In general, I feel that bringing 3 Killers in a row with a Mini Mori and a Killer who ignores Unhook-Perks just shows that the Devs dont care about tunneling)
I believe there is a lot of miscommunication and confusion around this topic. Probably the majority of players agrees that hard tunneling isn't healthy for the game. But what I've seen too is some people considering so many things as "tunneling" that the issue got diluted in vague discussions that "bad players tunnel" without addressing what they've meant for tunneling. In pub matches people accuse others of "tunneling" even when its a 12 hook game.
-
People are forgetting all of this changes also come up with the player intention system.
I was able to pre leave a Wesker and coordinate gens, saves and heals. SoloQ experience will be much better with the intent system.
-
Diminishing returns already reduces the value by 50%, so you probably end up with one perk and a half to achieve these results. Also you will lose stacks if you chase the obsession, so will need to win a 1v4 with one person having "immunity" against your build or you else you will be thrown half of your perks in the trash been.
This feels the same as people claiming you can do a gen in 30s with the right perks, even though it requires so much setups that its almost impossible do to it in a match.
Edit: the only concerning part is about denying any form of unhooking. This is something to be looked at with caution.
-
Some players really don't get the implications of having 2 killers in the match. Its the same as when people complain abou being chased the whole time.
Usually i just laugh when both killer team up due to how silly it feels. If i can last at least 30s in that chase i feel victorious; i know I've bought some time to my team heal and do gens

It appears the perk deactivates for everyone once it is used. Frankly I think is overkill. Changing Exposed to becoming Broken is fair, but I am against the idea of your perks deactivating due to the actions of other players.
It is not the best for SoloQ, but also it neglects the sweatiest usage of this perk, which was mostly done by winstreaks teams - which funnily, i have been running into a lot lately. Also, thinks that if one of your teammates used the perk, you kinda got value from it, not the value from your individual perk, but the perks itself.

I'm curious how often killers run into 4 mans and how do they know. I've had a few games where in EGC the topic of being a 4 man is brought up. I do not play in 4 mans and generally only solo or duo with a friend. I'm curious what signs make killers feel like they're against a 4 man.
Is it the altruism? The play style in general? Matching outfits? Coordination? Loading into Lobby? Other?
Let's assume they are somewhat normal games and it's not the obvious 4 man bully squad only playing to farm clip montages.Honestly, i can only say its a 4 man when i know all the players in the match or when its a streamer with VODs and i can confirm they are a 4 man. Outside of this, i usually thinks its just 4 good players i went against.

Imagine trying to learn the new community killer and they just drastically change parts of her kit every single week and then add in a very obnoxious bug as well. This is on top of 2v8 murdering killer queues giving people even less incentive to pick them up. I think I'll come back to this killer a few weeks later. I can already tell this is gonna be one of those killers that is perma hated and dc'd vs even if they end up nerfing because of bhvr tier balancing.
She will be probably nuked very soon. Probably a second Krasue situation.

Alright folks, let's try and keep the "us vs. them" conflict to a minimum here. While it's an understandable product of asymmetrical gameplay that there will be opposing perspectives on buffs and nerfs, we value feedback from all angles and don't want anyone to feel like their POV isn't an important part of informing changes that are made to the game.
I've seen some great comments here about how the curve window feels now vs. 10.1.1 and will be sure to pass these along to the team, but please do keep sharing your experiences with the change here (both as Killer and Survivor). Tweaking numbers to find a sweet spot that feels fair for both sides can take time, so just know that we're following your feedback!
Personally, the 0.8s might be too much. The 0.6 was fine.
I LOVED the 0.3 curve outside of Zealous. Judgment felt like Oni in some instances, you needed to gain your power with zealous before the match really started. Since the 0.3 is not that much, its a nice buff to make Judgement less dependant on zealous.Considering the nerf on Shrines - people spawn away from Judgement - i believe the Non-zealous curve is fine.

I've only really found success with surveillance on Knight, since you can send out guard out quickly mid chase to get a survivor off the gen and refresh the regression with ruin. I can't say I've had a massive problem with tracking the auras, as I note the gens that are regressing and can do a quick sweep occasionally to see if they have lost the aura.
Its one of best perks for the Knight, but people sleep a lot on it. Its also very good on Jason, with Deputy Badge.
There is a fun "snipe knight" build that relies on Surveillance and Mindbreak LOL
@OP
I love Surveillance, but yeah, they could add at least a notification whenever the generator turns yellow. I also miss the yellow aura but i see Surveillance as a macro info perk, to use as indicative to where you should pressure and where you should not.

I play as a survivor very often and very rarely as a killer, and I don't use exhaustion perks often.
But I'm done, after the last update where they killed Vigil and turned it into a crippled version of Ghost Notes perk.
They killed anti-haemorrhagic add-one and make it useless.
Any rework of a perk—whether for Survivors or Killers—inevitably ends up being tailored to either support or counter Exhaustion perks, all this is because of 7 speed-boosting exhaustion perks.
It makes me feel like the game was literally designed for every Survivor player to use Exhaustion perks, and that everything revolves around them—as if the game is balanced around Exhaustion perks only.
They give killers plenty of anti-exhaustion perks and add-ons, just to nerf Sprint Burst, It is as if the developers have no idea what they are doing.
Just remove all exhaustion perks (but keep head-on and maybe overcome?) and bring Vigil back without exhaustion effect.
Exhaustion perks themselves aren't a problem, Vigil was.
Although Exhaustion will always be stronger against killers with weak or no chase powers - there isn't much it can be done - the biggest issue was that a Exhaustion + Vigil build countering every status effect, not just exhaustion.
For example, if you had the common Sprint + Vigil build and the killer brought a mangled + hemorrage build (Sloppy Butcher, Gift of Pain, Mangled addons) you would counter the killer build; if the killer used exposed (Haunted Ground, Starstruck, Ravenous, Make Your Choice) you would counter the build; if the killer even used a Blindness build with Ultimate Weapon you would counter it.
Most of the players brought Vigil to reduce exhaustion and removed all of the status effects for free. I personally hope that they add parts of the Vigil effect to other non-meta perks - Mangled and Hemorrage timer Reduction for Solidarity, for example - , turning them into more attractive choices without making a single perks which counter so many builds.

I am genuinely baffled by the decision to buff Judgment after the previous patch. Judgment was already in a good spot! I think buffing Divine Light once again was just too much, 0.6 seconds was already in the perfect spot, but 0.8 is way too much. The curve on Non zealous mode and the exile rescue changes are good and can stay as is but the curve buff on zealous mode needs to be reverted asap, or we make Judgment overtuned like Singularity is atm, and I really don't want Judgment to get nerfed to feel like ######### like Krasue
Yeah, i need to test it more but it feel the 0.8s might be too much. Although with the messed MMR i can't get a good squad to test it properly, it feels that you can redirect the beam for far too long.

Henry (The First) can do; Unknown can do the exact the same, although in a much weaker form than Judgment; Knight can spawn a guard right on top of you; Freddy with Dream pallets (on both floors); Artist with a crow snipe or even a direct hit through windows; Dracula hellfire through gaps; The Lich with his skeletons.

Because when he used to have this on the ptb there was a consensus that it was far too strong for tunneling and applying pressure. Now we've decided its fine for judgement because 'reasons'?
As people usually completely overreact to any PTB change. If i remember correctly, in the PH PTB his cages didn't have any form of anti-tunnel, as they do now. Even if he want he wouldn't be able to tunnel as hard as people said.
Its fine for Judgment because she is a low mobility killer who lose access to part of the killer meta in trade of being empowered - negating part of the survivor meta perks with it. She would be much worse if wasn't for exile, needing another form of slowdown/chase power as secondary.

Because dev dont play this game and too many people on the forum is killer sided
Have you seen how killer friendly takes get downvoted? If it depended on this forum many killers wouldn't have a power LOL
Probably is based on their data of Pick Rates + kill rates.
-
TBH, i've seen people running in a straight line against Judgment and complaining how they could be hit. Or healing right beside the chase and getting mad the were downed.
I hope in some weeks people get a better understatement on how this killer works and how to counter better, as it was when Unknown came out.
-
I'm not a PH player but after playing Judgment makes me wonder why PH don't have Torment basekit on M2. Having to force a survivor to run into the razors to get your secondary power feels silly, specially now that PH Cages have basekit BT and the tunnel potential is far less than it was years ago.
-
I personally say its a win but i believe its not that much since the community killer got quite rejected. I've seen only 3 Judgement since its release.

true but both high tiers and low tiers are affected by both but in my original statement i say this is a dbd specific problem and even if we nerf gen progression perks 3 gens can be done while the killer chases and not much would change unless you increased gen speeds to make it not worth it which is why chases for killer should just go faster instead so survivors are forced to not be on gens circumventing the issue
Alright, i understood your point. I agree with you: by design survivors can "rush" gens much faster than a killer can stop them. Yeah, making chases shorter - or more fair - would help a lot, specially weaker killers.
But i am saying that Toolboxes makes the whole killer experience worse, because it "steals" time from the match without too much effort from the survivor part.
Hope both issues can be addressed soon.

well i'm on the fence since it's gen speeds + pallet density and i'm more leaning in favor of reverting pallet density sincd shorter chases means less survivors on gens overall
Well, pallet density is another issue. But even without it, toolboxes and gen perks would still be a problem.
If pallet density alone was an issue, high tier killer wouldn't feel how fast gens are going, but even with them i can feel the struggle to keep up whenever there is some toolboxes in the match.
