I have just joined the community recently after watching a few streamers play dead by daylight, so I was playing hag with all hex perks and were trapping all the objectives, at the end of the game a survivor said that I was "exploiting the game", I have known that the community can sometimes be called toxic, but is he stupid or am I missing something about game strategy here?4 comments 112 views last activity

In the approximate year that I have been playing Dead by Daylight, there has always been one question on my mind - why don't BHVR hotfix more often? Why do they wait until mid-chapter unless it's absolutely gamebreaking? It was shown in the PTB already that they had somewhat fixed the loading screen crashes, and implemented a match cancel if one person fails to join. I am a rank 1 survivor but never play killer because I have terrible internet. I go against ruin extremely often and have become used to it and playing with it, it does its job and giving the killer time. I find it annoying sometimes but then whenever I am in a game without ruin my team goes through gens extremely fast and I will admit it is not easy for the killer. My last two matches I faced both Pig killers, and on the first match, I used all of the boxes on the map, except for one that was the one who would remove the trap from me, and then my second match, the same thing happened, used all the boxes and the last one was the correct, but I died right in front of it hhahaha, I swear the timer would stop during the remove trap action. RBTs only become active whenever a generator is completed. Inactive RBTs will no longer trigger when attempting to leave via an exit gate. *NOTE: Initiating the End Game Collapse will not complete generators, but will block them. This means that any inactive RBTs will remain inactive. The RBT timer now stops if the Survivor is within the Terror Radius, as opposed to when in a Chase. I LOVED the selection of data that made it to the dev post. I think we should be able to overall draw some conclusions from that. SWF groups are really, really, REALLY not as prevalent as most people here think. Even among the SWF groups, the escape rate doesn't change much. @Peanits @not_Queen Ya'll banned a bunch of legion players for using double mending add-ons as an exploit. Well, it is only fair you do the same for people abusing the fact that the killer shack window cannot be entity blocked. It doesn't matter if you have bamboozle, or if they jump it 30 times. I was wondering is there was a statistic for like the most played survivors at each rank or like the pick rate for each survivor. I know that it doesn't really matter considering which survivor you pick is just a personal preference and doesn't have much of a bearing on how the game plays out. So I've thought of a rework to MoM to introduce counterplay, but also keep ot just as strong. Kind of like the rework to DS. My idea is to make MoM get stacks only from bodyblocking. It's official, @Peanits said it. There actually isn't any head hitbox to headshot, that's just a side effect of the very early dedicated servers test. We haven't done a pass on gameplay just yet so everything is designed to work on a peer to peer connection, and as a result, sometimes you'll have strange situations like a huntress hatchet applying damage twice before disappearing.
