gutted lol, ######### are u talking about nuerse still remains the strognest killer in the game by far, green distance wasnt touched, double recharge werent touched either so she still remains the strongest killer in the game on top of her BS power she can stack with a ton of regression perks and aura reading because they nerfed with a ton of fear they didnt touch THE BIG problems with her, the imposibility to see auras when blinking, all distance addons, recharge being nerfed they didnt GUTT her at all, way more was needed to say they gutted her. they will need to nerf her again soon because they didnt nerf her right.
you right 😭
I'm not on life support at all. I'm thrilled. I don't use range add-ons or exposed perks on her. My playstyle is unchanged.
The nurse deserves a proper rework that at least a quarter or the killer playerbase would like to play, not a "nerf everything rant" which is what the patch notes looks like.
Yes, but at high level survivors are already pretty competent against the Nurse. So that will give them that much more control over where they are going, less chance to make a mistake.
Some may do, but I doubt it's what everybody is doing. It can't be everyone gets aura, everyone gets slow-downs, everyone gets 1-shots, ...
exactly she is far from being gutted. she remains the strongest cause the nerf is incomplete, those expected addons nerf may or may not happen if they do we can truly say she was definitelly nerfed still basekit untouched and the best in the game.
I think blink attacks being special is fair.
Her power beats all other powers by a landslide.
Slightly less perk variety is a small price to pay for that. A good nurse can get hits way to easily to have additional effects on top of that
I like these changes overall, but the add-ons part scares me, she is very clunky at basekit so we may get another Pyramid Head situation where she's strong but feels awkward to play as.
"Yes, but at high level survivors are already pretty competent against the Nurse. So that will give them that much more control over where they are going, less chance to make a mistake."
Yeah, but they dont get any more control? The Survivor does not get the sound queue, only the Killer does.
That's the one thing I was missing from the dev update as well. All the other changes sound great, but eruption not being nerfed is concerning. I hope they just didn't mention it in the dev update and we'll still see at least a nerf to eruption.
Strawman, or do you think exaggeration helps making a point across? (It doesn't)
Let me make it simpler :
Player who are good with the Nurse have played her a lot, so they'll have only a marginal effort to up their game.
New players will start with a handicap, so unless they are really committed, they'll fail.
Remember that on the statistics, Nurse is the worst player in the game except at high MMR. And at high MMR it wasn't event that good compared to the others.
I'm sure she'll be generally worse now.
As long as she doesn't become the next Billy, I'll play her (although being nice will be out of the window)
You may have taken the win here, but we will have our revenge once the kill rates drop hard.
Cool cool cool, so we’re down to 1 viable killer out of 30. Nice. Good balancing decisions here.
Peanits said in another Thread that there are no secret Perk Nerfs. So I highly doubt that Eruption will get its well-deserved Nerf.
I'm pretty sure they do.
You do realize that this closes the gap a little, m1 attacks are special because they take dedication, no shortcuts. Nurse literally is a shortcut. Not a single M1 activated perk is one that Nurse needs to perform. None.
As for Nurse cant attack normally: Matchbox and Spasmodic Breath. There you go, now you can use m1 perks on Nurse.
"Next, we’ve added a new sound cue when The Nurse has fully regenerated all her blink charges. This way, you’ll know when you’re ready to blink again without having to keep an eye on the corner of your screen."
This is the quote of the Dev-Update. Nothing about the Survivor getting any information, only the Killer.
Nop , read on another post they won't do perk changes just yet,so we are stuck with gen kicking npc killers using eruption for now ^^
Nurse will still be strong, but I better not see any nerf nurse threads.
Nurse got gutted and remained the strongest Killer in the game.
I'm a ######### Killer main, she needed nerfs.
It’s OK, she will fit in the kick meta. She is far from dead.
I think it's kind of silly that Sloppy is harder to use on Nurse now but, to be frank, don't care that Nurse can't use Exposed attacks with Blinks. What I do find concerning is no mention of changes to Eruption. That affects far more players.
That's a real shame, because eruption is a serious problem right now. Maybe they could do a hotfix shortly after, but I doubt it.
It's surprising though, considering one of the community managers here talked about Nurse getting priority over other killers because she is talked about daily. Eruption is also talked about daily, so I really hope we see some changes to it soon. It's an insufferable perk at the moment.
Her skill cap may go up a lot depending on whether or not they adjust her recharge add-ons. You have to be fairly efficient with your blinks at base recharge speed.
Wow people will actually have to get good at her maybe? Or just run 4 slowdowns. The game plays by itself on any killer like that
Hopefully they get reworked and not just nerfed
Agreed, I am a Nurse main and I understand she is broken.
But survivors thinking this is going to gut her are in for a bitter disappointment as this is not going to change much at all if you are good at her and don't run broken ######### on her as it is
I doubt it, with this changes even the most experienced will have to sweat, and expect them to tunnel you 100% of the times. She needed a rework, not to be scrapped from patch to patch to a very unfun and sweaty version of what she originally was.
You know that if you pick her you are playing a gutted version. A complete rework would be much better, at this point playing her would be an stress more than a fun experience, wich it what playing a game should give.
She will still be #1 killer by design, but these nerfs are healthy for the game. Good move from the devs!
I personally think nurse shouldn't be nerfed this much,,making her blink strikes count as special attacks was just fine but eruption is just pure misery when playing solo
agreed the NERF only affects people that likes to run disgusting combos (mostly toxic nurses) , while not the ones that play smarter and bring full slowdown all the time and go for a 4k (the sweaty ones) , matches are gonna feel the same against average sweaty nurses... am telling you.. PAIN
on the bright side solo Q is gonna finally be more bareable to play....
Honestly dude, as a Nurse main I will bet my bottom dollar that this is not going to change much at all if you are already good with her and don't rely on abusing broken perk/addon combos. She could actually be nerfed more but they need to balance it out so she isn't completely inaccessible to new players but cant be exploited by experienced ones at the same time
Who's gonna tell him
What do you mean? That's the only nerf her basekit is getting. It just seems like we are also getting some nerfs to her stronger addons, which is also good. If anything, these nerfs still won't be enough, but we'll wait and see.
Eruption is hell though, no argument there.
What i read here is: i know i don't play a lot so i want the 4k to be served in my hands without any input
i'm just a bit distrustful with devs,,they usually can't find the perfect spot between a right nerf and gutting ,,we shall see though
Still gonna be extremely strong because its nurse where you just cant use loops normally.
Cool, if that's the case, hopefully we'll see some much needed gutting done to Circle of Healing and Dead Hard
So now that The Nurse won't be bottlenecking perk design, we can get some stronger killer perks right?
exactly what i think it could change if they go with the "EXPECTED" changes wich mean IT COULD but IT COULD NOT happen, becasue if they adress the green distance PLUS double recharge aswell that may change A LOT of things sicne basekit Nurse is way different compared to addons nurse (ACTUALLY BALANCED AND PUNISHES MISTAKES UNLIKE ADDONS NURSE), ofc the top tier nurses will still destroy most teams even with just basekit nurses OFC but still that may indeed retire many nurses and TBF i couldnt be happier if that happens. the mayus are not directed to u is just general i wanted to emphasize those parts because it may or may not happen.
Those perks are not a problem in my opinion. Maybe CoH could be nerfed to 40% healing speed at some point, but in general I consider them strong, not overpowered. When it comes to survivors perks and items, medkits are the biggest problem in my opinion. They let survivors heal a bit too fast.
Cant wait for the calm and reasonable survivor crowd to start chanting their Nerf Nurse! mantra in a month again.
Can´t wait for the PTB tomorrow, where everyone will try to test nurse and everyone still disconnects against her on the first down because reasons.
I stand corrected.
I was playing survivor when I've read it and automatically translated you as survivor.
Because this Nerf does not change that she is an outdated design which should not exist like this anymore.
According to who? If the devs are happy with her, then her design is fine. You are in no position to say she doesn’t fit the game.
It's really not thoughtless though is it she's broken
I hope they give her new chase music and that its at least better than the 4 seconds of repeating drums we got for hag
Nurse has the highest skill floor but a mid skill ceiling. If you have the time to be on the forums you have the time to put in a couple hours a week.
Wait, what? I'll have to wait a whole month to ask for more Nurse nerfs? Guess what, I won't!
Nerf Nurse! Nerf Nurse! Nerf Nurse! Nerf Nurse! Nerf Nurse!
Seriously though. This is not going to gut Nurse. I stopped playing her completely because even without oneshots and addons it still felt cheap to just bulldoze through survivors. I'm not even that good but Nurse recovers so fast you can fail over and over again and still outpace most of the killers in the game. Compare that to the lower tier killers in the game and explain to me how they can be balanced without breaking Nurse beyond reason. This is a good start but she will still be unbearably strong with the current killer META against anything other than a comp level SWF maybe (curious how that will be like).
Wait a second... are you telling me I've been a god nurse all this time and I had no idea?! Holy moly 500 win streak here I come!
P.S. btw, you were darn right when you called they were changing nurse in the mid chapter
