You forgot the best one(which is also my favorite) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUakzJtf6S8

Worst: Mikaela, I could never take this games lore seriously after they added her, COH went from extremely op on ptb, to just op on release, her perks are useless now, and her cosmetics are coomer bait.
Best: Either Jill because of the long saga of her broken face had a good ending, or Cheryl because they revived a character from 20 years ago and made her semi popular in the modern day. It was a good move to choose her as the silent hill 3 rep, but I hate that they couldn't get the likeness for James, I don't think it's worth 15 bucks to get that ugly mug wearing his skin.
-
Listen, take this from the number 1 boon hater back in the day, boons are dead.
They suck now, they're decent in a SWF and that's it, there's much more pressing things to worry about now, but Mikaela and her little glowing bones had their time in the lime light.
-
It's a deserved change, it doesn't really matter how fast you vault when getting locked in animation means I know exactly where you are and can blink/rush/phase/sprint/bound/punish/whip you, it mainly hurts M1 killers which is a terrible idea, and exactly why you see so much Wesker and Blight.
-
I have to admit, once I got the hang of her power, it felt weird and a bit funny playing the game in such a way after nearly 3k hours of playing normally, of course it got boring pretty quick after a couple matches, the only comparison I can make is that she feels like the inverse of bullying an M1 killer.
I find it funny that the killer that's best for bullying survivors isn't even the strongest, when I play Nurse against babies it's a clean 12 hook game in under 8 minutes, but with Skull Merchant, you know what you're doing before you queue in, you can't pretend you aren't doing what you're doing, and watching the gens slowly go down is pretty satisfying, so all in all, no, I don't enjoy those games, mainly cause I've never had them, survivors gave up way before we even got to 40 minutes, but I'll relish in my 100% win-rate of 8 games before she gets her deserved rework.
-
It's not really an issue on low-mid MMR where most players are, it becomes extremely unfun to face at high MMR where stacking it with resilience makes most tiles, especially shack, an absolute slog, the worst part is that it doesn't affect the best killers that much, Nurse can just drop chase and find someone else at a dead zone, Blight is very fast, Pyramid head can just drop chase and tunnel someone else.
It mainly hurts M1 killers that can't drop chase, it's just as bad as old eruption, solid against a well equipped opponent, but downright unstoppable against one not equipped to deal with it.
-
Pyramid Head is better than the Artist.
-
It's literally a game dude, I don't know what to say other than that.
People use hug tech to conserve rushes, they use as a mindgame on short loops and there's plenty of counterplay, just run away if you see it on low wall loops, if you hear the blight bumping a lot, you can assume there stuck/trying to hug tech, and in either case, just run away.
It is a useful tool some Blight's use to save time and close the distance faster, but the alternative is making the Blight very clunky and prone to getting stuck on random collision.
-
I don't really see these tactics unless my teammates is doing unusually well, despite what a lot of survivors will tell you, a lot of killers will pull their punches if they see the survivors are struggling.
-

killers have shown time and time again that they will slug for 4 mins and play as scummy as possible and in my opinion not having this released before the event was one of the biggets misplays.
its time that we add this in now. for real.
Read this post in a gravelly Brooklyn accent for maximum effect.
-
Very well written post, the issue isn't that survivors are too strong, it's that they don't have to work as hard for perk value.
I think pain res treatment is necessary for a lot of survivor meta perks: Make the effect stronger, but obtaining that effect more difficult and skill reliant.
For resilience, you could nerf its current effect down to 6%, but double its effect while in deep wound to 12%. This would make it less effective for cranking out gens, but make it far stronger in chase.
-
Nurse, her add-ons are arguably Pyramid Head level(which is good).
And I will say this to the grave: Her 3 blink addon is a detriment to good Nurse players, it's just a crutch for bad Nurse players.
-
Yep, every event is like this.
Pro-tip: If you're survivor, stack a full anti-tunnel build, if you're a killer, play Legion with pills and mural sketch.

It's really funny you replied after seeing I have 13 upvotes. Are you calling all those people self-righteous for having the same opinion as me? What do you mean by my 'kind', I think that's rather innapropriate to say and pretty self-righteous but oh well. I have taken quite an extensive break as the game has gotten stale for me so yeah I don't know what else to say. It doesn't bother me much, pointing out that slugging is not an achievement is necessary sometimes, especially if it involves a skill issue! Also, don't you dare tell me what to do, I mean who even are you?
My phone autocorrected "mind" to "kind", and I'm not telling you to do anything, I'm suggesting you take a break if you're being bothered by this game too much. Slugging, tunneling, and camping are all not fun to verse, but they're necessary strategies if you want to win against certain teams, in the same way that greeding gens and body blocking/taking hits aren't fun to face.

Deliberately making someone else miserable for your own enjoyment is a sign of sociopathy.
Please don't tell me you're calling me a sociopath over a video game.

But is she able to reach the Survivor after she hit him? I dont know the exakt numbers of her normal range in comaresant to the distance the Survivor makes
1 blinking is her most efficient way to catch up to survivors, she has to charge her blink up to 20 meters, blink, fatigue, and hold w for a few seconds(at 3.8 m/s, 0.2 m/s slower than survivors) until her blink recharges.
These movement spikes mean that securing your first hit will be the easy part, the hard part is catching up to a survivor holding w while slowly 1 blinking up to them.
-
They should rework cages to act like hooks and remove double hits on hooks, while making his M2 like it was on his ptb, and finally adding this torment on M2 change.
Make his strong suit be efficient chases/hooking and involve the entire team in the fight instead of just tunneling 1 guy.

Ah yes slugging four survivors so that you can have fun. Classic killer main right here. If you struggle to use such an easy power in chase there's really no surprise you resort to that. Hear me out here because this might be a little scary: you need to LEARN how to play a NEW killer! The future EMP changes they will implement are significant and I don't know what core issues you're waffling about. Nearly everyone is happy apart from you. This is literally the result of a skill issue and not being willing to learn new mechanics. The killer hasn't even been out for a week. This is just embarassing.
The self righteousness of this post is something else, he's just playing a video game in a way others don't like, it isn't fun for the other team, but it's just a game man. If this bothers you that much, then you need to take a break, go play civil maybe? Just get your kind off this game for a bit.

Every-time I watch survivor streamers/CC's they literally spend the entire game just begging for the killer to chase them so they can spam emotes and BM. It gets stale pretty fast, no idea how acting like that is so lucrative in this community.
Because it is funny to watch, I personally get bored of doing it fast, but watching others do it compilations(like jrm) is pretty funny.
Now for the killer it's not fun at all, but this game isn't about making things fun for the other team.
-
I haven't played in a while, but if I had to guess, I'd say MFT also somewhat hurts Nurse, without range and recharge she is now about the same speed at a 115% killer.

Yes I know I'll be back someday (which is what I want but when things change). I'm tired of every killer besides the top 3 getting destroyed against average survivors who have great maps , high ping on either side that dictates hits, and random rng that really plays a huge roll in outcome .
Other random things are like doctor's lunge.. is trash and has been for a while(no seriously play doctor, then play trapper it's a substantial difference) .
Bully squads/killers, fast gens, and overall largely toxic player base with what seems to be one goal on each side since DH got nerfed. All these things make this game not worth the "fun" it brings on occasion .
I've tried switching up how I have fun but it's hard when 9/10 matches all the survivors wanna do is hold gens, not really try to loop and it's done within 5 min, OR someone DCs at first down because of a normal direct chase and the rest just stand at hooks . Sure it's obviously the only objective but this gets old pretty quick .
I completely agree, the charm and charisma that kept me playing for years is starting to dry up due to how sweaty everyone is.
-
I suspect that blink locations and hit calculations are affected by map geometry or camera placement, there's been plenty of times where my attack is so stubby it feels like it's coming out from behind me, and other times where I feel like I'm jousting.

I think Ada and Rebecca had okay perks (Wiretap and Hyperfocus, respectively; and this may be because they’re licensed so Capcom had specific ideas about how they wanted their abilities to work). But survivors usually release with pretty bad stuff. Gabriel is probably the first non-licensed survivor since Mikaela to drop with anything decent. And he only has like one solid perk (Made for This) now.
Made for this is a terrible perk that I hope doesn't make it to live, it's going to be mainly effective against M1 killers that need downs to get pressure, killers like Blight don't care if you're running at 100% or 103%, and killers like Nurse/Pyramid Head will just go find someone else if you run far enough.

@GentlemanFridge said:
That seems a bit tasteless, ngl.
OP clearly has good intentions, but this is not necessary given that we already have a charm for him.
-
Ah sheesh, where to begin?
Corn maps range from okay(hardly changed) to absolutely dreadful to play, torment creek and cowshed are the biggest offenders.
- Torment is just a diet cowshed, a few deadzones exist to lessen the misery, but if the survivors are smart and do the gens in the corn and at main, you're in big trouble.
- Cowshed is Cowshed, playing Pinhead on that map gave me the worst time I've ever had playing this game.
Red Forest is a disaster, prepare to hold W if you're a low mobility character, and worse of all, now ranged killers have a tough time with LOS, that was formerly the saving grace of the map, if you were playing a ranged killer and could mindgame main/shack and filler pallets, you could actually do ok, now that's gone.
Macmillan and Autohaven are ok I guess, I've gotten used to them and nothing especially disgusting pops out to me aside from main at groaning storehouse.
Now Badham is some bull**, if you aren't a stealth killer, you're gonna loath your existence for a couple minutes playing this map, if only Nurse/Blight could play on the map, it would be a fun challenge, but nope, little jimmygaming2010 is gonna have to play Clown on his 8 year old Xbox One controller with stick drift and no teachable perks.
-
The game is fundamentally flawed at its' most basic level, without fluff like ruin, pop, decisive, eruption, and dead hard, everyone's focus is on the core gameplay, which is:
- Do gens asap,
- try to protect someone from getting tunneled,
- try to 3E,
- repeat.
Or for Killers:
- Try to down someone asap,
- if first chase takes too long, tunnel,
- get one survivor out and then try to get a 2K to tie.
The games issues can of course be solved, but it'll take a long time if Behavior churns out content at the this pace. New game modes, official modding support, and better game optimization would go a long way in keeping the game going.

"weaker killers would become strong, and stronger killers would be unstoppable, it would be ridiculous"
Why do these hypothetical scenarios always assume that the hypothetical change would also bring the end of balancing altogether? If they handicapped premades and killers became way too strong, killers would have a series of balancing changes following the update.
If they made the game 5v1 with current balancing, the balance of... everything would be out of whack. But no change like that comes by itself. Perks and mechanics would have some massive changes.
Same if they decided to make the game 4v2. Do you truly, honestly believe Blight would have no changes if that were to happen? Do you realize how incredibly strong Trapper would be if he had a buddy to provide the pressure for him while he closes off every viable survivor path?
Don't be shortsighted. If they were to nerf premades to close the gap with solo queue, killer nerfs would become an inevitability. Premades would stop having such a massive edge over solo-q, and solo-q would stop being killer fodder to keep killer kill rates seemingly "balanced".
That is, of course, if they were to do it correctly. Changes like that are as likely to go right as they are likely to go wrong.
The point of the post isn't to say that balance will just magically disappear if killers get buffed, I don't know where you got that idea from. I'm saying that the game needs a tilt to survivors because most players are casual, and at casual levels, killers dominate, I hate the idea that more balanced = good, balanced games can be fun if you're sweating, but if you aren't they are boring as hell.

A very bad idea

-We assume that they all have connections between each other
-We assume that they are all coordinated
-We assume they are very skilled players

Now are you saying all this because you only lost more than you won
Whatever it is, Behavior cannot penalize players for playing with each other but it can bridge the gap between solo Q players and SWF
Can you read the post?

My primary complaint is that her entire character design was "turn invisible so you can mindgame", then the directional audio took away the point of her character.
She can still win, but it's not fun playing a character, where the survivors get 100% crystal clear directional audio that goes through walls and is louder than chase music.... but Spirit is still stuck trying to hear survivors through overtuned sound occlusion.
You can still do a lot of mindgames with her, it's actually very effective now since most survivor don't expect it.
Of course you can do the classic fake going to one side of the loop, but you can also phase and then immediately unphase and kick a pallet/vault a window to catch the survivor off guard and buy yourself some time, standing still works if you use your phase aggressively during the match, you can pretend to use your phase at a loop but then go attack and catch a survivor off guard behind you, there's a lot you can still do now, you just need to use your brain instead of getting free undetectable stealth to do some skill-less bullshit sneak attack.

Her add ons still need adjusting as some of them really boost her power a little too much and some are so bad that they’re easy to forget their existence.
I think they should nerf some of her yellow add-ons while making them partially basekit, buff the greens, and rework MDR to give her Billy steering as a downside and a thick southern accent with voicelines along with the speed boost.

Good question.
It'll be powerful for sure, but the amount of attempts you had to get a successful Dead Hard meant that mediocre survivors could sometimes pull it off. It'll still be strong for good survivors, but for average or mediocre survivors it's dead in the water.
This begs the question though, why not just use sprint burst, a good survivor with sprint burst is like having a free Dead Hard every 60 seconds, it doesn't have conditions, and it doesn't require precise timing.
Dead Hard needs something else now because bringing OTR and Sprint Burst do it's job and some.

I mean, isnt this just the current version of Dead Hard. 90% of DHs can be avoided entirely, but as soon as it poses a mild inconvenience it becomes problematic.
This goes beyond just Dead Hard, but goes into the community's mindset. If something is annoying, they think is must be changed.
The reason people hate current Dead Hard is because with 3 chases per survivor, with lets say 2 bringing Dead Hard, the odds of one of the survivors hitting a Dead Hard, even if they're bad, is much higher.
The solution is simple, reduce the amount of chases that have Dead Hard in play, which Behavior have done, but the pseudo anti-tunnel mechanic they added is what confuses me, especially since OTR already exist.
-
It'll be Surge levels of annoying now, something that occasionally springs up to annoy you but not often enough to really get everyone fired up.
-
I was very surprised when I noticed not many people were playing her post rework, I loved the new Spirit and thought she was also fairly easy for her strength.

Dbd matches felt more fast and intense when gen speeds were 80. A small part of me wishes they went back.
I feel like the game would benefit from faster matches, maybe it could be turned into a side mode, but a game mode where gens took 60 seconds, and survivor had two hook states would be nice.

Check if you've unbinded the special ability key for survivor, you have find the keybinds by pausing the game and switching over to the keybinds tab, or selecting the gear icon in the main menu.

Perhaps. I for one would love to be able to play for chases but BHVR has been making maps extremely safe and a total lack of interaction for years now, it's actually, in my opinion, the single worst thing balance wise since they started their "realm beyond" stuff. But hey, the dumpster fire is fun to watch burn, while I rarely play the game now and will likely stop entirely soon, it is still fun to see them fumble around and watch all the various freak out reactions on the forums.
I agree, I play sloppy as survivor a lot of the time but still can last a decent amount of time while my teammates run around doing anything but gens, the game is in a lock down meta where survivors start out really overpowered, but killers have the ability to pause the game and wear down survivors.
-

The problem is the only way this gets fixed is by making maps less safe, which BHVR will never do. Killer will be hell for the next 6 months and you can bet your ass people like me won't be playing then. I'm not here to sweat my balls off just to barely get a 2k from a group of people who had absolutely no ability to loop what so ever they were just good at sitting on gens.
You'd be surprised how competent companies get when they start to tank profits, they circle the drain faster and faster until they decide it's all or nothing, hire a psychopath to come fire people and allocate wages, and just like that the company is back in it's mojo.

A more severe rework of her blinking would be ideal: it doesn't feel like anything has changed about this and it's her most oppressive element. She now has more blinks than before too which seems like they haven't listened to peoples issues with her. She is supposed to need to return to her original position, but I'm seeing a lot of Nurses that can blink 4 times and continue to follow you around a map blinking without going back. Something feels off.
I don't care that her attacks counted as special attacks. This is the thing that they actually did nerf and to me it was completely incredulous to do so as no one, from what I've seen, really had an issue with this. Revert her so her attacks go back to how they were pre-nerf so they're not all basic attacks and address her mobility. It's the only way, really. Every other killer who has some sort of teleport/speed element is way better balanced. Including Blight.
She is quite literally the same speed as Trapper.
Her base walking speed is slower than survivors, and her first blink travels 20m when fully charged, with her second one traveling 12m when fully charged, after this she recieves a fatigue that nullifies any distance she made over other killers, and has to wait for her tokens to recharge. Also I don't know what your talking about with the 4 blinks thing, she can blink 3 times with her iri that reduces her mobility, and then return to her original place, foregoing all of the distance she made.
It's obvious you don't understand her power, which is fine because not everyone is a walking encyclopedia of DBD facts, but if you want to participate in this discussion then you need to understand how her power works.
-
The big problem with the meta is that it rewards killers that play it safe and stay close to a 3 gen, while heavily punishing killers that don't, this is actually good for the game because it means gen rush perks and items will get the axe, so for a couple weeks/months killer might be hell, but it'll work out in the long run.

Coh is a perk I've always despised, I don't care about Dead Hard that much anymore, every killer hates it so I guess it can go as long as I can continue to combo exhaustion perks with No Mither. All in all, this patch is alright, I don't think it's as bad as you're saying though.
