As Killer I try to spread my hooks around, and if I do down someone again off hook, I slug them instead of hooking them again. I don't even hang around to properly slug, I let them get healed up and get back to them later. I don't "Win" matches too often like this but I do get a nice amount of BP. I had a whole build ready. Desperate measures, resilience, BT, and background player. It countered so many killers who camp and force hook swaps. Now this exhaustion perk has little use and goes to smash hit/head on F - D tier. Flashlight saves is the only function because why would you want to waste a SB and be exhausted to a carrying killer. Posting it here to hear everyones opinion about the hot take I wrote on Twitter about a week or two ago. -Distortion should also block Killer Instinct to make this perk a true stealth perk. And after speaking to a few friends of mine over at Twitter, a good compensation is that the perk now takes 45 to 60 seconds to get a token back (was 30 seconds). What I mean by this is that if I get a 4K with 3 gens remaining, why don't I get a double pip? My chases were short, I defended the gens well, I capitalized on any mistakes. So why is there such a seperation from what is deemed "skillful" play by the devs and the pipping process? What does this serve? Analysis of why tunnelling is favoured by some killers. So, I want to address the issue of tunnelling. I've just done the Rift 3 orange glyph. I've used The Executioner and I couldn't tell you what the effect was (but I had a red icon on the lower-right of the screen). No seriously. Unless you really need that fourth perk, just run light born. It fits any build, can counter survivors really well, even has a chance to beat 2 survivor perks. They brought a flashlight? How wasteful of them! Best of all, you only need it at tier 1! Forget tiering it up, that's for chumps... just prestige once billy and your done. What handles the prompts in the game? I run to a crate and slide back and forth waiting for a prompt to open. I get the the chest open and then slide back and forth to get item waiting for a prompt. I stand at a pallet, I have prompt to drop it, killer runs up and prompt disappears before killer gets there. I dodge three hits while running and never get prompt again to drop pallet. We still don't have anonymous mode for months despite pc having the privilege to use it. Please for the love of god stop dcing early from matches when high amounts of BP are up for grabs. There's a lot of perks in dbd, some are bad, others are considered meta, but most sit somewhere in the middle. So I'll ask you, what's your favorite perk that you don't see used often? Or a perk that you consider criminally underrated for how good it is. Any perk will do as long as you consider it underrated, killer or survivor. I Feel they missed a real opportunity on this one. The way it should work is when you unhook a survivor they get the 6 second speed burst. The person who unhooked gets exhausted for 45 seconds. They should make the Borrowed time effect last 16 seconds so after the speed burst you still get 10 seconds of borrowed time. This way the killer get punished extremely for tunneling. When I first started playing people played whatever they wanted (killers, survivors, perks) because you could without feeling like you were for sure going to lose for experimenting. Now it's literally all the same. We keep getting new content, but none of it's good enough for people to actually use.
