looks like we need to nerf Dracula and bring him inline with the rest of the killers!

Dracula has a solid counterplay already attached to him.
Wolf form is absolute trash on most tiles. His lunge is really choppy and easy to outplay.
In bat form he's absolutely blind and most survivors can just change direction and be slightly unpredictable, which is the easiest counterplay you can ever think of.
In Vampire form he's strongest, of course, BUT evading his hellfire is RIDICULOUSLY easy if you put any effort into it.
The only thing that puts him in A tier is hypermobility; believe it or not, against really good survivors he's not that good in chase simply because most tiles are safe as hell.
I just played against a really good 4-man SWF with my Dracula, and they had enough skill floor to delay my downs by around ~20 seconds. Believe it or not, they were really amazing at looping — they made very smart gameplay-wise plays and decided to take hits, etc.
I easily would have gotten a 3K, but it was Autohaven, so yeah, they were pre-running the hell out and ratting in lockers when they all got to 2nd stage. I was doing 12 hook play but they were ratting so yeah i'm still proud of myself yet not suprised.
This map is EXTREMELY huge, and it was a really crazy time waste for me to navigate between survivors; controlling hook stages was borderline impossible. They were coordinated like a SWAT team.Luckily I got a 2K, but I am VERY surprised how much they did to make my downs significantly harder. They all had Champion of Light + Background Player, and I had to be extremely careful with my pickups.
And no, they did not get a single flashlight save ;)
But I have to admit that one Ace was VERY good when it came to flashlight saves, and he was close to getting one at endgame, but I'm way too experienced for those beamer plays and I predicted that a long time ago.
and look ! I was complaining about his hyper mobility and never being able to have a chance to catch a breath because he is ALWAYS on your back no matter what you do. awful design which rewards bad plays! I dont want to hear about your games with really good 4 mans. gloat harder omg. congrats ?? is that what you want me to say? uwu you're so talented and amazing, like such an inspiration omgggg ??
youre also further proving my point by telling me you NEED to be in a super coordinated 4 man to have a chance at winning against this killer so thanks for that I suppose.

Oh, you have played 1-3 games and suddenly think you are master of the killer? Cute
can you not read? I said I versed that killer 5 times in 1 day what are you even talking about? and this is exactly the sarky comments im talking about where you pretend to be all meaningful and helpful by telling people to "play the killer more" when the reality is you're just being a dick….. I hate snakes either be real and honest or dont say anything at all. you want to call me trash? do it. dont beat around the bush.

Just learn his counterplay, quit complaining. People like you, the crybaby survivor only mains, are responsible for all the bad things like SM butchering, chucky butchering, that Krause ptb, and SO MUCH MORE, all because you refuse to actually try. DEVS PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO THEM, DRACULA IS PERFECTLY BALANCED!!!!
oh? this was rude and uncalled for.

now that you mention it, my hate towards the devs increased a lot when they nerfed medkits to basically all do the same thing even at different rarities — aint nobody bring a purple medkit to heal a teammate likeeeee why would I bring an item to use on someone else lmao

for real like once again the devs remove things that A LOT of the player base like and use rather than balancing them properly. its honestly annoying how many corners the dbd devs cut instead of tackling problems head on

absolutely not fair being able to be outplayed no matter where you stand. boring. next.

If you don't know how to handle the killer, best way is to go and play the killer. Sooner or later you will find survivor who will know what to do and then you just copy it in your games.
only on the dbd forums will someone see someone say that they've played a character….. then go tell them to play the character, because they dont agree with what they said. girl Ive played since 2020, Ive bought the dlc, I know how to play the game. this killer needs nerfed, but y'all dont wanna hear that so lets end this as we seem to be going in a perpetual loop.
I know these tactics. you guys dont agree with someone so you discretely call them trash by telling them to learn the killer or play more…. yeahhhh, no.

I don't think that is really true. You can delay opportunities for dracula to hit you which is what the goal is against this killer. Don't vault or pre-drop if he has hellfire out, pre-drop if he is about to pounce in wolf form. Stay at a vault if he's in bat form. He will eventually get you but thats how he is balanced, and it's how he is different from many other killers.
no because ive did exactly what you said and you know what happened? I got grabbed when I tried to vault because its either he fakes I dont vault I die, or he lets go, I try to vault but the transition from holding power to swinging is so short you just get grabbed. an I do pre drop sometimes (BUT I CANT SEE THE DOG SO what does it matter !!!! you guys aren't hearing me I give up omg keep ur sloppy vampire dog mess idc
in fact no edit: I will not let you guys gaslight me into thinking Dracula is not op he is, and there's no doubt about it.
-
@OrangeBear said:
To add on to what was said by Shanoa. If the dracula isn't on point he can lose his grasp on the game really quickly. He has no real way to get pressure other than getting downs and getting hooks. He can't really hit and run because healthy survivors are almost undetectable in bat form.
He is strong but i don't think he is overpowered. I think his most recent tweaks put him in a pretty great spot.which goes back to what someone else stated where it feels like to win you have to pray the killer misses or isnt good, which honestly yeah, I think is kinda unfair…
he has a lot more ways to get pressure than any other killers, he can teleport across the map and see a lot of the map in bat mode, has a counter to pretty much every survivor defence(pallets/vaults/exhaustion perks), hes the tallest killer in the game and can see over everything most other killers cant, ya know, I definitely do feel he is over powered in a bunch of ways. hence why I find him so frustrating to verse, and my feedback being based on chaos shuffle making me verse him multiple times in a row for some reason… just makes certain things stand out when you play against him multiple times in a row I think
-
@ShanoaLegendaryPlz said:
I have him at p100 and play him often. The key to looping him well, is the fact that he has a weakness in each form. When he switches forms, you switch your tactics. If he swaps to batform, he cannot see you at all. So if you walk you can walk right past him, if hes chasing you injured and goes to batform, you can double back walking and he will get confused following the scratchmarks enough for you to reach something.
If hes in wolf form, he sucks around pallets/windows/multi corner tiles. Like blight or wesker you make sure he cant hit you in a straight line. If u are hiding from the wolf just walk as he cant see scent orbs if you dont run.
And the hellfire is one of the easiest to bait midrange m2s in the game with a long cooldown compared to other killers like nemisis or pyramid head.
Ive had rounds where people go down easily and its a quick win, but ive also had rounds where people loop me so hard i got 1 down in 4 generators and then still lost him to a blind lol. Hes not S tier like the big 3, just below them.
I appreciate your tips but I think his overall kit is just too much to deal with, like they need to limit his time in bat form or something because with a good headset the only way to counter his bats is to run iron will, and even then you can hear footsteps and he just shifts right on top of you and you die and even if you do make it to a pallet, he can just shoot his power over, and low and behold it hits because he can see me over it, or he switches and I cant see him because his dog is too short… idk like I say I just find him frustrating to verse because a lot of the counter play feels out of my control

The only real counterplay depends on the dracula misplaying. He has to miss.
How is that exactly different to majority of killers with skill shots?
Nurse, PH, Huntress, Dracula, Deathslinger etc. basically any killer with ranged power. What survivors can do is to make them more likely to miss.
I personally enjoy playing against Dracula a lot exactly because he can missplay all of his powers.I think its because they're limited by obstruction mainly, hellfire goes through everything shorter than a survivor or with gaps, on top of not being able to see the wolf form, on top of the permanent catch up ability with bats.. just pretty frustrating to play against tbh
-
I agree :( sadly. with everything except the extra 5s bt, since I do think with killers that aren't s tiers, the extra 5s is good help to not have the killer wait out 10s, insta down and put back on the hook - I know its only small, but the extra 5s does help give people a slight chance to reach something if they are being tunnelled, and even escape on some cases, for instance when the killer tries to hook deeper in the map away from an exit gate during EDC and is successfully unhooked/traded with, that 5s allows them to make it out or reach safety.
everything else though, yeah med kits got gutted unfairly. I find myself not even bringing them into lobbies anymore because what's the point? i'll just stick on full anti-slug and anti-tunnel and pray my team is gen efficient and can actually last at least 30 seconds each chase.
like, I know survivor are receiving some quality of life improvements lately, but it feels like it's at the expense of…. things that make the game fun? which kinda sucks.
for example, before they nerfed medkits, the last thing I loved doing was pre-dropping a pallet beside a drop down and using it when the killer chases me, but they nerfed staggering when falling from a height, so now you have to wait 5 business days to perform the rushed action after staggering rendering this one thing I used to love doing useless, it made dbd feel so fun, the killer could break the pallet and then it was gone for good. but instead of actually balancing around what people find fun, they nerf it or remove it completely in the name of "balance" and it results in the game feeling stale because it feels like youre forced into playing a way that isnt the same as what originally kept you playing and enjoying the game… instead of playing into what people love about dbd they just nerf them and call it a day and it reduces the amount of fun to be had idk I went off on one here but yeah im not sure why they do this

they made him disgustingly, insanely overpowered, just so that unskilled children would buy him to have pay to win victories.

@UndeddJester said:
So Vigil seems to be making the rounds recently, and I wanted to start off by saying, I don't think Vigil is overpowered and in need of a nerf... but with that said, I do feel a good change for opening avenues of game balance might be:
TLDR
Vigil (as a keeping watch through the night perk) now: -
- Affects Exhaustion.
- Affects Exposed.
- All other status effects are removed from the list.
- Gains some kind of effect as compensation (any ideas?)
Why? (Go with me imagining a world here)
Currently Vigil does counter quite a lot of killer status conditions... and whenever I'm building around it, most of the status effects are things I tend to ignore; more often than not, the 2 effects I often care about are exhaustion and exposed for perks such as: -
- Any exhaustion perk (obvs) or Fearmonger
- Dramaturgy
- Shoulder The Burden
I do also use it time to time with Plot Twist for an anti-broken effect to be able to heal through things like Deliverance and For the People... however blind, oblivious, haemorrhage, mangled, they're not really effects I'm ever really factoring into a build and are just kinda there... useful with Resurgence maybe, but I'm not really gonna take Vigil just for that...
The fact that this one perk covers everything status wise, it does make it so other perks can't really be buffed to also counter these effects, since they could be stacked to make statuses even weaker (and they are already not really meta in vast majority of cases)... can you imagine say a 80% recovery speed for mangled/haemorrhage?
What could be?
If Vigil had these statuses removed however, it gives some possibilities for lesser useful perks to gain a niche. Off top of my head, some examples could be: -
- Visionary could gain a Blindness 50% recovery effect.
- Alert could gain a Oblivious 50% recovery effect.
- Self Care and Better Than New could get Anti Hamemorrhage/Mangled ignore/recovery effects.
- Mettle of Man could gain a broken recovery effect.
Doesn't have to be these, but you get the idea.
For the new effect for Vigil, I dunno, maybe lean into it's lookout for the team thing, could be it reveals the killers aura for 4s to the whole team when the survivor enters chase. But any suggestions I'd be happy to read.
Just make it not stack and its fine

Let me start off by saying this is not an attack on the developers or anyone who enjoys the theme of the event.
Naturally the servers being down/sporadic is disappointing but also out of the devs control. Yet it does still add some salt to the wound. It's the anniversary of the game, and for some variety of reasons feels oddly unceremoniously deployed.
- Theming: What happened to the celebration of the final masquerade event? With the lobby still being the same as the most recent chapter it does feel incredibly lacking of festivity. It's a very unjust send-off. Even the decorated maps have no dedicated queue, so the festivities are unlikely to be seen frequently or at all by casual players considering just how many maps are in the game and especially following the recent map offerings nerf.
- Tryks: Love her or hate her everyone has their own opinions. But what about people who just want to queue for the gameplay but not the character? Tryks feels incredibly forced and out of place when up against 80% of the cast who is only capable of grunting and screaming.
- Event Rewards: Anniversary offerings have been intentionally reduced this year. While it was bugged and resolved for Prestige 100 characters, the fact is it was an intentional decision across the board for any other level. Players who play infrequently tend to make time to play during this event as it's the best time of the year to make bloodpoints and be merry. It's no surprise that we broke the record of active players yet again, so imagine their surprise when they see how the offerings they earn are unlikely to last them the full year.
- Bloodpoints Earned: I'm deeply surprised there isn't a modifier active this year. You would have thought the Final Feast would have launched with a Blood Feast? Yes we had some currency boosts leading up to the anniversary but it makes the event itself feel lacking. Older offerings also seem to not multiply the event scoring. Whether a bug or by design, this punishes players who played previously but may not want to level the same character. Event scoring also seems to be very lacking, as most of the Party Favours don't feature unique scoring events. Survivors don't get to consistently benefit from the generator completion event as the event is personal and not global. Meanwhile the basement is oddly empty this year and the basement hooks do not provide any scoring events either.
- Event Innovation And Balancing: This event is largely a copy and paste from last year. We have the same host, the same Party Favours, and even the Event Powers are from last year. It's a bit too predictable of an event, ironically so considering the chaotic energy of its host. While remote hooking has been nerfed and its bugs fixed, remote break is incredibly strong and unaddressed 3 years in a row. Survivor powers are incredibly underwhelming compared to the absolute power houses killers can use.
So where does this leave us? I have my own opinions on next steps, but unfortunately these frustrations are being echoed by a growing number of players.
ESPECIALLY bc they said this masquerade was supposed to be the "BIGGEST YET" and its just copy and paste of the previous versions likeeeeee where is the thing that makes this the biggest????

you know i been playing this game since ghost face release and i always wondered why survivors are always like, don't tunnel, don't camp, don't slug
and my question is why….?
why shouldn't i do those things, you as a survivor do everything in your power to win, so why shouldn't i be able to do the same?
and don't go with the, oh its low skill or something like or the "rulebook" i want an actual answer that makes just a tiny bit of sense lol, because i feel like this is a question that nobody really has an answer to
My reason for not tunnelling when I play killer is because I know it's not fun— especially if you don't run anti tunnel because then it's just an easy 1 tap and back onto the hook. Which isnt really too enjoyable for anyone… For the killer it's boring (unless you really care that deeply) and there's little space to self-improve using killer powers or just learning gameplay loops and mechanics. You really are, in my opinion, limiting how much you can learn by just going for easy tunnels and I think you won't really get any better if it's all you do. (not you specifically, everyone and myself included).
That and if you get put up against a good team who know when to take hits and to focus gens you'll most likely get 3 outed since tunnelling usually only works in solo-q…Then people start complaining about gen speeds after targeting one person all game and still getting 3 as if they even tried to pressure the other survs on gens the whole time lmao

how long are we going to accept kill/escape rate stats as truthful when DC matches are disregarded including those where dc happened without penalty- a clear 4k??
They should include all matches. I’m fine if devs want 15% escape rate … just be honest about it. Gaslighting feels so demeaning.
I checked my stats and a game where we all got slugged and abandoned counted as an escape lmaoo its deffo scuffed

Springtrap doesn't seem like a very overpowered killer in terms of his kit, but he seems to be erasing survivors left and right with relative ease. His hatchets are annoying but not overly powerful, his tp is annoying when he has his add-on (paired with the hex: blood favor) and his random stealth is so inconsistent that half the time you can see him coming.
So what it is that is making this killer get 3-4k every game with 3-5 gens remaining? Am I so out of touch that I can't tell what's op at this point? Are survivors just not playing correctly rn? What do you guys have to say about it?
Huntress type m2 into m1 grab is busted and should be removed. IDK why they saw all the complaints from Myers being able to grab people and put the same thing on their most anticipated killer in years lmaoooooo

You use the word "invalidate" in your title, so I can only assume you're trying to bring BHVR's attention to this so it's removed from the game. That's gonna suck if/when survivors lose our counter to Lootbag.
Edit: the bug report discussion area is here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/categories/bugs
The add on needs reworked. things blocking exit gates other than perks are usually dumb.
Currently survs and killer are arguing if they should each be rewarded with a free kill (in the killers instance for bringing an add on) or survs instance being denied an escape (being healthy and getting axed in the back and not being able to leave) — rework it! It's a bad add on.

i came back after a 6 month break and yes i'm a little bit rusty, but honestly what is this? Gens are flying like crazy, everyone is pre-leaving and holding W, there are no "weak links" anymore after 9 years of DBD. Chases take way longer than they should with this current gen speed… there are no perks to prevent this either. After 10 games my MMR should have adjusted but honestly i don't think its a skill issue. I play not much different from what i did a few months ago and the results are terrible.
6months without playing im sure you've slightly forgotten how to put pressure on gens whilst maintaining regular pressure on survs too. 6 months is a lot of time to lose muscle memory and important strategies to keep you in control of the match. I go a month or 2 and I've forgotten how to swing without being span lmaoooo, im sure you'll be fine after a few more games.

Fair enough, sorry if I misunderstood your intentions. But even if you don't plan to trash talk, you at least seem to acknowledge that some people definitely will. Which means players will probably be muting each other quite frequently and at that point, what's even the point of having it? Plus there are all those other game balance considerations that I mentioned. I honestly think if the game had VC from the start, it would have developed into a very different one altogether.
Besides, since you SWF in a discord and BHVR are totally fine with Survivors that do so, you've already solved this problem for yourself. Adding VC isn't really necessary because players can already party up on comms if that's how they want to play. Could BHVR do things to improve communication between solo Survivors (especially around perks like Deliverance)? Sure. But imperfect communication is just a part of the Solo Q experience in my opinion and kinda what you sign up for when you queue for a game.
Whenever I'm playing games and someone has audio feedback or is being annoyingly toxic, I mute them and carry on playing with everyone else. And I use discord when im in a pre-made swf. Load up a solo q game after playing with a 4 man on comms and you begin to understand why I think comms is a necessity for DBD. Otherwise surv keeps getting buffed to compensate for the lack of info/excessive tunnelling camping and killers will begin to slug everyone out for the win rather than playing for hooks.
to me it's either give surv comms or implement unnecessary buffs/mechanics that promote even sweatier gameplay that everyone will cry about. For some reason everyone wants the latter. Beyond me.
-
@tjt85 said:
Trouble is, Survivors on comms completely invalidate stealth Killers and stealth perks, as well as any perk that needs an element of surprise to be effective (Hubris, for example). As much as I might hate Ghostie, I don't want to see his entire play style nuked from orbit just because you want to be able to trash talk your Solo Q teammates. Survivor on comms is horrendous for game balance.
Do I sometimes wish I could tell one of the three people working on the same gen to come cross the map and save me from the hook or I'm likely to go second? I sure do. Do I wish my teammates would pay attention to the HUD, see that the person who went for the unhook got intercepted and is now in chase and that the person on the lowest progressed gen should now go for the save? Yep. Do I wish I could tell the newbie Bill not to unhook me in the Killers face unless I'm about to go to second stage? Absolutely.
The thing is, Survivors don't need communication to avoid these situations. They need to develop game sense. Something the bare bones tutorial doesn't even attempt to teach to newer players. A chat wheel could be helpful, but a tutorial that actually taught you the basics of playing the Survivor role would be even better.
There seems to be a misunderstanding. I don't want to trash talk, I just want to communicate like I do in every other team based game. Trash talk is funny though, except still not my reason for wanting VC.

Being comfortable speaking to strangers should NOT be a prerequisite for playing a multiplayer game.
If you're scared of social interactions go play a solo story game or something then what lmao. I hate playing multiplayer games when my teammates dont have mics like if I wanted useless teammates I would load up unranked siege.
-
@jesterkind said:
Adding voice chat doesn't solve any of those problems. Even in the other games that have voice comms, they aren't the thing that facilitate communication, the systems underneath voice comms that provide passive and active information to players are what facilitate communication.
In order for voice comms to fix the issues stemming from lack of communication in a given match, the following bullet points must be true:
- Everyone in the match must own a microphone
- Everyone in the match must feel comfortable speaking into that microphone to strangers
- Everyone in the match must speak the same language
- Nobody in the match can have serious noise pollution that would require them being muted
- Nobody in the match can be toxic or just broadly irritating enough to warrant them being muted
If ANY of those bullet point requirements aren't met, voice comms don't allow you to communicate with your team. It's just not how things work- too many people think voice comms are what separate solo queue from SWF, when just having an active mic connection to three other random people doesn't guarantee literally anything, let alone genuine noticeable improvements to communication and strategy.
This game should work on better information gain and communication options where possible, but voice comms isn't it.
Everyone doesn't need a mic, if they do, get one, they're cheap as chips these days.
If you dont feel comfortable communicating with strangers why are you playing a multiplayer game?
Every doesn't speak 1 language in every other game and everyone does just fine.
If someone wants to mute someone that is entirely their decision.
if someone is toxic, again the mute option is always there and accessible.
None of these are good enough reasons unfortunately.

Language would be a huge barrier. A chat wheel or what not would be easily translatable to each person's preferred language.
Play in a call of duty lobby and tell me that! People from all over the EU speaking different languages still manage to find a way to communicate. And a chat wheel just isnt enough in this day and age im sorry.

@terumisan said:
if they do that they have to giga nerf survivors across board permanently since swf comms destroy killer gameplay
I disagree. The point of voice chat in my eyes is to make it so survivor doesn't get any more basekit buffs which will promote slugging and hard tunnelling. Comms are used in Comp setting and people do just fine.

So you're saying you cannot direct the person to any documentation to back up your statement?
Also, toggling VC is an awful idea, if 3 out of the 4 are on comms and the other survivor isn't, you know the other survivors are going to BM that one person, right? Also no. I'm saying it's 2025 and every multiplayer game has comms. He wants the norm, the norm is voice chat.

So there's been a lot of buzz lately regarding people that want Darth Vader added or people that think Darth Vader could be added
And I am here to say... please don't add him into dead by daylight
Me and other like-minded people do not want Darth Vader in dead by daylight and we would hate it(might even quit the game as a whole if added)
Darth Vader would be too much of an sore thumb in dead by daylight amongst the other killers
Dead by daylight is meant to be a horror themed game and Darth Vader isn't horror based at all
Can he be scary? Yes
But just Theme-wise abd mechanically-wise it would not make any sense to have him
People like to argue this by saying certain killers aren't scary and yes that might be True but let's be honest dead by daylight lost it's scare factor long time ago. People are rarely actually scared unless your playing a jumpscare build
Me and other people just don't want Darth Vader cause then dead by daylight would slowly just look like Fortnite and lose more of it's identity
The star wars universe does not fit for dead by daylight
We should focus on collaborations that would actually fit and make sense with things like:
Friday the 13th
The Purge
The smiling
The shining
Thankskilling(I think that's correct)
Etc
Please do not start adding out of character collaborations BVHR
I love dead by daylight and I would hate it to be ruined by characters that simply do not fit dead by daylight
Please genuinely consider this and do not add Darth Vader or any other out of character collaborations
Lets stick to collaborations that are the core of horror and are fitting for the realm of dead by daylight
Thanks for reading
I'm just gonna say we already have Dracula and DND's Vecna who to me are arguably less scary than Darth Vader. Also Soma Cruz and Trevor and the little Elves that came with Vecna is in DBD.. I cry every time I see them in a lobby because they are an eyesore and have ruined the horror vibe they've had going for themselves for so long. Darth Vader at this point is inevitable unfortunately.
Anything for decent sum of money I suppose.

And before people want to comment and say just bring sacrificial ward but that’s not my point. I shouldn’t have to bring sacrificial ward every match just so I can feel safe why don’t they just ban map offerings just so sacrificial ward wouldn’t exist

In my past 32 games, the killer has had Trail of Torment in 29 of them!!
I actually really love ToT so seeing it this often makes me hope that killers learn to run it more. I'm just really pointing out the lack of randomness I've been seeing lol.
Has anyone else been seeing a lot of Trail of Torment? Or a lot of a different perk?
3 survs had scene partner in my lobby yesterday….

No loop should be so broken that the killer has to leave a chase because the survivor is in it. So it needs nerfs.
shack is not broken xdd also yes, leaving chase is a thing a lot of low MMR players dont know how to do and call for nerfs to gen speeds and vault limits because they dont know how to patrol gens and put pressure on a team of survivors lmao. Doesn't need nerfs, just get better honestly..

They need to rework that god awful perk

I just went up against my first full bot lobby and I was not impressed, it was literally the most boring match I have ever played in this game. You could tell from the start they where bots and could read them with ease. I would rather wait 10 minutes to get a real game than play this crap!
FYI, I checked after the game and they where all last online 6 months ago!!
I'm starting to hate this game!
DBD doesn't have bot lobbies. There are noobs, yes… but no actual AI integrated into games before the match starts.

I would like to suggest that any time a window has been vaulted three times within 30 seconds that it be closed off. Killers with less than 4.4 m/s can technically never be in a chase and the survivor will be able to vault continuously and endlessly.
(And this doesn't even take into account the toxicity of survivors vaulting to create noise.)You can't ask them to nerf something that requires skill to pull off, if you're getting continuously looped at shack because shift tech, learn to take different pathing choices and/or leave chase to find someone who is worse in chase. This whole "I cant catch them so nerf them" shii is so annoying. You're not always deserving of the down. You got outplayed by someone who is better. Simple.

Can we normalize harder challenge completion? I want harder survivior quests too.
75 hit challenge is fine.
not when killer queues are 15 minutes long!

It does fix it, though, as when I play solo queue, most issues can be resolved if someone calls out that they're being camped or tunnelled. Then, everyone can focus on generators or taking hits or whatever they need to do. Calling out pain res, calling out the trade with the deli, etc., would all be resolved through communication.
If you don't have a microphone in 2025, that's an issue for the player, not a reason why voice chat shouldn't be allowed in general, making everyone else's games harder than they need to be. I would take voice chat over unnecessary buffs that are just gonna make the killer play even more sweaty or refuse to hook because Surv has so many basekit precautions to tunnelling and camping any day.
I don't see any reason for a game not to have communications, especially when they're so adamant on having the game be team-based. Every other game has comms, I don't understand what makes DBD so special not to have them. They want to meet industry standards and not have comms? crazy to me honestly lmao.

Voice comms wouldnt fix this. Top many people would opt out, use comms for toxicity, some don’t have a microphone, then there is Language barriers in Most regions, etc.
sure, some matches would be more coordinated but the problem would still exist in general and comms would introduce even more Problems plus need further moderation from devs/Support and we all know that the current reporting/support isnt at its best either

I understand what you mean, they really need to buff solo Q, there's so many very easy ways to do it that would make it so much more bearable. The only reason I got back is because they said they would fix tunneling and camping which I'm hopeful the devs will actually pull through on.
Comms would fix solo Q without the need for any major buffs, I reckon. Like actual comms, not just info buttons like "killer is chasing me".
People who disagree because of toxicity etc. can always turn VC off if they're that bothered. I think voice chat would make solo Q feel more refreshing and make collaborating in-game through teamwork (what the devs are aiming to balance the game towards) a more viable option.
I don't understand how they want survivors to work together with only 2 emotes. It has been stated they want survivors to work as a team to escape rather than only thinking of themselves. Voice chat genuinely feels like the only real way to really "fix" solo Q, in my opinion.

Just played a game as Survivor. He was playing wesker. I dropped a pallet, ran for a half a second when suddenly he hit me with a bound as if I was on the other side of the pallet where I was legit more than 2 seconds ago. I checked the ping. I had 33. He had 1020. This should not be allowed. I am fine (tho unhappy) to play against people with like 120 ping because that seems like understandable, but 4 digit ping makes the game so bad. Please just kick players if they have such a ping for a period of time longer than like 5 seconds.
I've begun reporting everyone above 150ms. No excuses. Hope BHVR has fun with every report sent their way. It is exploiting to gain a competitive advantage. BAN EM

Oh ew! Is this on every map when he uses his power?
Yep, as far as im aware. It's happened with every doctor I versed so I'd think so!

What bug is happening that we need to kill switch him? (I’m genuinely unaware. I haven’t faced him recently)
His power cancels vaults MID animation, like the survivor vault animation plays out but if he shocks you ANY time during the vault animation playing out, the vault gets cancelled entirely and you teleport back to the entry of the vault.
Think the Borgo middle map vault bug that happened a few months ago where the vault was un-vaultable but on every pallet and every window.

Im not disagreeing with you, but the time you spend on this post could have been used to fill bug reports, that gets read and put into a list of stuff to do. While posting it here there is no guarentee that bhvr reads it.
Its the same with cheaters, we should really not be the onse responsible for catching them, but most of the time we get the burden.
DBD is the only game where people will act as if it's up to the player base to keep this game afloat. Suppose the developers want their game to die due to it being a buggy mess and that's on them and only them. I pay to play and that's it. I want them to know they're 1 more major ######### up away from me never touching this game again. I don't want to have to play through every killer and report their bugs for FREE. If they want me to report every single bug in this game, they can pay me.
1 or 2 bugs I would be fine reporting but when its the entire game, it becomes less of a player base bug report issue and a core issue with their development team. They need a massive wake up call.

That's all it takes to down a survivor after vautling a pallet with Kaneki even if they are way too far away? They have to be not in deep wound? That is absolutely ridiculous.
I am quite happy with how much more balanced Kaneki is now with his intended kit, but that bug needs to disappear as quick as possible.
Yeah, as long as he grab-vaults over a pallet or window, and you don't have to mend, you go down once he's finished his vault animation, it's broken as hell! i do think he has potential to be super fun, i love a good sweaty match as much as the next guy— except not so much when the odds are stacked so much against me that the only resources I have are made redundant.. it is not it at all.
