Yeah i get that, but you want it fixed right? and soon? so thats how it works, that is the way there is a bug reporting section.

They've just released a health update. Their team should make sure their game is in a playable state instead serving ######### on a platter. It's not up to the people playing the game to have to report all of their bugs. People pay for this game to be able to play it, not to do someone else's job for them with bug reports…and if I were to name every bug in dbd that NEEDS immediate attention, I would be here all day. And I don't get paid for it, so I'd rather not.

Perhaps you should name the bugs, if you want them fixed. - if they are not reported, how should the devs. know what to work on / fix?

I would really suggest that you start making bug reports here -

    Its not my job.

  • @I_Cant_Loop said:

no, not all the killers are bugged. Stop with the hyperbole

erm…. twins, oni, nurse, deathslinger, doctor, singularity, huntress, trickster, legion, blight, nemesis, knight, kaneki, houndmaster are all bugged

  • Isn't it supposed to be a slug prevention thing? like to sway killers away from 4 man slugging? it makes sense to me. earn your win like everyone else in the game and dont' just try and cheese it by going for 4 man slugs! also does it matter? you get your bloodpoints which is the only thing this game offers for winning

  • Is2g people need to get rid of the idea that simple M1 killers are weak and need buffs when you just need to switch up your playstyle a bit instead of asking for unnecessary buffs because you struggle to put pressure on a team of survivors. Not every killer needs to be a macro sweaty abomination that makes everyone want to go next because they have 0 counterplay is what I'm saying. a lot of the killers you have listed as "way too weak" are just M1 killers that require actual brainpower and awareness to be able to get a good outcome in their matches.

except, unknown is my favourite killer in the game, and I win against some of the sweatiest survivors, and I'm not even all that! no idea why he's bottom tier on here. same with vecna. xeno now has sufficient counterplay and isn't just a death at every pallet or window.

still, killers such as pig/legion/ghostface/wraith/trapper/clown/myers fit into their own category as M1 killers, which, yes are easier to play, but require a lot more mind games and just efficient gameplay. I firmly believe that if a survivor is GOOD, they should be able to outrun the killer by using resources at the right times and just playing their cards right. not every killer needs to be spoon fed kills, i get the assym argument but at the end of the day survivors need to have at least a chance to prove their worth and skill and not just die in 20's bc people like you say that all of these killers need buffs, when they don't.

and to say that the majority of the killer roster is either way too weak or underpowered is absurd, when the majority of them fall in line with 60 %+ win rate.

deathslinger/houndmaster/knight/lich/unknown/trickster/huntress/bubba/oni//dracula/executioner/plague are all fine, some are more BUGGY than others, but they're not anywhere below balanced.

also I've just seen you put ghoul as balanced, which in his current state is far from true, same with nurse and spirit.

billy and blight are closer to balanced, I agree. blights speed add ons still need adjusted if he wants to be considered balanced to me, but I digress. as for the rest of this tierlist? slop! soz

  • @OrangeBear said:

I don't think they should touch power recovery (cancel cooldown) at all. That would kill him more than anything.

    it would balance him.

I had lightborn on because a while ago I had a few flashlight squads so lightborn was there just to prevent any annoyance then completely forgot I still had it. An Adam got upset because I had it because it prevented him from saving a teammate who was out in the open. So I'm supposed to give him flashlight saves? I've had killers bring lightborn when I was doing a challenge requiring blinding the killer annoying yes but some people just don't want to deal with flashlights I'm not going to get upset with them but it's a single perk if you brought no flashlight then it's a waste of a perk slot plus if your wanting to save a teammate...take a protection hit?

flashlights/flashbang are one of the last fun things in the game for survs bar being chased, you take away the opportunity for flashlight saves and it means people will just have to stick gens which is boring

people could bring sabo builds, but that always leads to slugging because no one likes sabo…

i like to enjoy my games and not take them too seriously and try to evade flashlights rather than just denying the possibility completely. its part of the fun for me playing killer, i love when there's cheeky survs who like to go for saves and i try to pick or mind game the pick and chase them away.

flashlights are a core part of the game for many people and light born takes away what many people find fun about their matches, trying to save their teammates (even if they fail lmao)

youre allowed to run it though, everyone plays this game differently…but personally I think there's no need to be so against the idea of a flashlight save that you need to run a perk that 1. removes a fun aspect of the game for survivors (and kilers) 2. ends in the user getting gen rushed because no one is hovering for saves anymore

do you .. but you cant act oblivious as to why people find it annoying

  • @BirdiePlays said:

The fact that killers can run four aura perks including addons is honestly a major crutch and a pain.

You're already making it so survivors can't run more than one exhausted perk, so why not give survivors this? You nerfed distortion into the ground and it gave the stealthy survivors literally no counter to any of this.

If you don't make it so they can only run one aura perk can maybe make it so they have a long cooldown or something?

I've started running blastmine with residual manifest and the amount of DCS is astonishing. They really clutch with aura that much, we even 4 outted a nurse running no where to hide lmfaoooooo

It is a forums page after all.

Oh, now it's a forums page where everyone's entitled to their opinions? but when a suvivor posts their experience and opinions its "skill issues" or "play another game" "get good" or "rage bait". Hahahahahahaha.

  • @DrowsyHermitt said:

how is it a poorly thought out rage post? The game is not enjoyable for the other half of the population because killers have several powers per character now days, strong perks compared to survivors having their perks nerfed regularly, killers can just spin their dpi mouse a thousand miles per hour completely ruining a core feature of the game, and on top of all that they can simple lunge around a entire loop 85% of the time with a aim assisted attack that nearly always lands. I play both sides equally and killers have it so good compared to survivors. If you play survivor without a full lobby of friends every match you’re going to get stomped and it’s not fun. I know it’s fun when you have all the advantages as killer and get to win nearly every single game but you know the other players would also like to enjoy the game.

They won't listen to you though, not on here.

But I can bet I'll I see you defending Duty of Care + Overcome once Orela hits live (assuming it will survive till then)

Oh hunny, I'm sorry I made you feel you could change my mind on the matter.

You shouldn't assume so much, I don't even know what you're talking about.

There is also a tech where you at least have chance to avoid hit and confuse the killer, which is kinda fun.

Imagine if they weren't playing Legion with Iri button and insta frenzied over the pallet and chase up your backside to eat the next pallet stun for a free down. Pre drop? Die. Pallet stun? Die. Greed? Die! Like what's not clicking lmao

There was no solo q game where its normal. survs just give up..

Harsh reality that no one wants to believe… a lot of killers now are too stupid. The Lich has this dumb mechanic where he can insta down on any bad pallet, and if the ground is unlevel? Good Luck dodging his 5 purple skeletons. Dracula is the most obnoxious thing I've encountered in a while, with his bat/wolf form. The Ghoul is just Nurse on steroids, Xeno? We don't talk about Xeno. Singularity? Pallets? Never heard of them. Houndmaster? Insufferably boring with deathslinger-esque power with hitbox enlarged x100000. Overall, BHVR forgot how to design fun killers, leading to an epidemic of people not enjoying their game. Not because everyone is childish, like everyone else says. Killers are hot a** to verse, it's no surprise to me that nobody wants to play out any matches against these killers.

No BPS for you if you cant even bring a green envelope (joke i hate green envelope but its better than nothing ig)

I was watching a streamer, and they saw four cakes and said, "Oooh, four cakes for me, thanks, survs" and then tunnelled the first person he saw out. I feel like that's just the majority of killers' ATTP. I'm saving my cobblers for my friends now.

I play survivor a lot and would even rather be slugged. Give me an example of what "control" you have while hooked compared to being slugged.

The reason I have to ask is because I've yet to get an actual reason why it's bad. Not I don't like it, it's toxic, not asking me how I don't realize it's toxic. None of this is an actual answer. This is all emotional non answers. I'm looking for a practical and rational reason.

You can objectively do more on the ground than on the ground. That is more agency and more things to do. You can literally do nothing on a hook other than remove yourself. That is more boring than being slugged.

If I'm on hook, I have a chance. BT, Haste etc… and you're not gonna like this one but I can also exit the lobby for free I'm not enjoying the gameplay. If i'm being slugged, nothing is stopping the killer from hovering my body and insta downing me the moment someone picks me up again. and then again, and again, and again, and then I've been bled out without being able to progress the match or earn any BP. And i'm forced to endure my inevitable defeat. That's my verdict.

I've noticed that wesker is a bit clunky with his infection power, even tho he Is the more balanced killers in the roster, I feel like he's lacking and a bit clunky compared to most killers I've seen and played as, and was wondering if anyone was feeling the same way? Mainly his "fully infected carry", bc it makes it sound like that last part isn't necessary bc now it just does kt anyways regardless if someone if fully infected or not, making that part of his power pointless bc now it's just a base and normal thing, even more so, most killers powers tend to have a decent secondary power ability that seems useful, other than the 4% hindered, it doesn't seem to matter at all really considering the carry attack being a none fully infected thing that happens despite it saying it should, I think the uroboros infection needs to be reworked for a different use than 4% hindered if the carry isn't gonna be practical to the full infection anymore, but what do you guys think about this? Bc i REALLY think his second part of his power (the infection) is very lacking due to the carry attack not needing full infection anymore despite it saying otherwise :/

I firmly believe that not every killer has to have multiple different powers/backup powers to be fun or balanced. Wesker is absolutely fine. Passive killer powers are not good either. IMO. Wesker has to work for his injuries and downs, or he can use his power to force survivors to eat through their resources (sprays) and play the long game, which is 100% possible because I've encountered this type of Wesker before, and they always get a pretty solid result. His passive power forces survivors to stop doing gens and run across the map to find a spray, or they greed the gen instead of spraying, and you get a free M2 insta down! I genuinely think you should just spend more time playing Wesker to learn how to maximise value from his power rather than calling for buffs that, to put it bluntly, just aren't needed. Wesker is the type of killer where you get good results if you put up a good fight. Doesn't need buffs though.

  • @Blueberry said:

I know lots of the community hates slugging and I tend to get a lot of hate for it in matches. I wanted to post here and get some rational responses as to why it's toxic/bad/boring, whichever interpretation you have.

Note: I am not talking about leaving 4 people slugged to intentionally bleed them out. So assuming as soon as everyone's downed you hook them. Also not talking about slugging for hatch for this conversation. Everything else fair game.

What's the difference between being on the ground and being on the hook? At least on the ground you can move around, set up for a pallet/flashlight save/ hide/potentially anti slug/heal perks/might not lose one of my health states. On the hook you literally cannot doing anything other than try to remove yourself from the game.

If you can't do anything on the hook I can't even see an argument for it being less boring than being slugged. The only rational reason I can see for hating slugging is that they want the ability to remove themselves from the game on the hook, that's it, and I don't think that should be encouraged.

I'm genuinely looking a good reason to support peoples dislikes or to change my mind on the topic. As a survivor I'd always rather be slugged than hooked, I can't see any reason why I wouldn't.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but have you ever played Survivor and been slugged? Playing a game where the killer thinks hooking survivors like everyone else is below them is straight-up draining. At least being hooked, I can have even a smidge of control. I find it obsurd that you have to ask why is slugging boring/toxic. If you've played survivor and have been slugged you should understand, if not, give it a go. Find out 1st hand why slugging is boring/toxic.

Would it be really bad if this concept applied to generators for both survivors and killers?

With this change many perks could be improved, for example: Thanatophobia, Dying light, Overzealous, Friendly competition, Resilience etc.

Judging by the reaction of haste/hinder stacking being removed I'd say no

  • Brother, killer has been buffed for noobs. Killer is the easiest it's ever been. All of my favourite streamers have fallen out of love with this game because of it.

Everyone says Killer is boring because it's too easy, and Survivor is pointless because it's a waste of time, and you're just going to load into a match, one person gets tunnelled out at 5 gens, and the story repeats itself.

Most Killers get haste for simply existing. To ask for more buffs when killer is already this easy is crazy to me idk

    @Leon_Loves_Cheryl said:

I agree that it's not exactly a bright idea to balance the game around people who don't know how to play it. Example: Showing Penti's aura so that you don't need to mentally keep track of the totems you cleanse (which is an element of mastery that you can continually improve on) reduces the game's skillcap in an unhealthy way.

    And that's just one example.

    i listed the top 3.

    • Surge is bad on most killers and survivors just take the killer away from gens making it do nothing.
    • Deadlock is okish, but gen regression is far better than blocking in most cases.
    • Corrupt only is valid for the first 20 seconds of a match, and realistically isn't as good as it seems as it causes survivors to split up faster when you want them together.
    • Eruption is horrible since the nerfs, 10% regression is nothing when a down happens because hooking a survivor takes 20 seconds, and 10% is buying you 9.
    • Call of brine is AWFUL and the fact that you listed it is laughable. Base regression is 4x slower than progression. So making it 125% means that to regress a gen from 0.25 c/s regression to 0.31 c/s. So congrats, you gained 1 second of time every 17 seconds
    • Overcharge is useless in high level because they always hit the skill check
    • See overcharge.

I think you should change your post to "they took away my free asf gen slowdown"

I use these perks on killer and never have any issues. Also, value from perks varies from game to game on both Survivor and Killer. You're not always going to get value from each equipped perk, but when you do… you question why you'd ever run anything else. You cant just say "all these perks are garbage" - because they're not and I see people winning with them against me all the time, and vice versa.

  • Overcharge is actually really good paired with call of brine and oppression

  • @Reinami said:

So with pentimento going away now, what do we have left:

    • Pain res
    • Grim Embrace
    • Dead man's

pretty much all that is left.

Can we please stop nerfing perks that aren't OP in high level play for the sake of low level play without compensating it in some way for high level play?

Can we please get the old ruin that made it regress style level of perk changes where perks that are OP against average players get nerfed against average players but buffed against high level players?

For example, do this change to pentimento (pending numbers changes) but make it so when a totem is rekindled it gets blocked for 30 seconds. It wouldn't hurt average solo queues because they probably are going to take longer than 30 seconds to find that totem and cleanse it anyway, and against high level coordinated teams, they can't immediately cleanse it 5 seconds after you light it.

There's a bunch of pretty solid alternative perks…

    Pain Resonance

    Dead Mans Grip

    Grim Embrace

    Surge

    Dead Lock

    Corrupt Intervention

    Eruption

    Call of Brine

    Overcharge

    Oppression

Also 'anti bm" is wild. If a tbag hurts your feelings that much maybe gaming isnt for you (people get tbagged in every game) just becasue it upset's you doesnt mean you should be given a free kill come on now.

  • @CaptainNimrod said:

I'll be quick with my opinion, these are terrible changes. Killers like Clown and Skull Merchant revolve around haste in their kit and now you're just making that the only way for them to use the effect at all? Not to mention haste and hindered builds are few and far between, despite being some of the most fun builds in the game. People LOVE having the zoomies.

If you're gonna crack down on entire categories of perks like this, then leave haste and hindered ALONE, and only tackle the individual perks like Made For This. But please go after the Gen Regression/Speed perk category instead, as that is LITERALLY THE ONLY THING PEOPLE USE IN THEIR BUILDS MOST THE TIME. Thank you

This highlights killer power issues rather than hinder/haste stacking removal being problematic. Made for this has already been "tackled' by having it only work in mend. Haste/hinder stacking was becoming increasingly more problematic with the addition of more haste/hinder perks its only right they make this change. (as much as I liked stacking haste as the next person) it was becoming an issue.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3908217#Comment_3908217

    Ok. Fine.

We don't actually know specifically how much energy generative AI uses. Because the companies behind them refuse to disclose the numbers. For now, they're not legally obliged to do so either, so they're quite hapy to leave all of us in the dark. What we do know is that some companies are considering building their own nuclear plants just to power them. That alone should tell us something about just how much power is used.

You're right about individual uses of AI, like simply asking it a yes/no question, having negligible power use. The issue becomes when individual uses turns into millions of uses ever hour, globally, which is where we're at currently. You yourself said you asked it 1000+ requests daily. Now I don't believe you do, that's absurd. All the same, I don't need a maths degree to understand that 'neglible x 1000', daily, is no longer negligible. And that's just you. There's thousands, possibly tens of thousands of people like you, who also query generative AI thousands of times. That adds up. And that's not even counting the people who only use it occassionally.

Datacenters require lots of water to cool. Now, water is a renewable source, yes, but that water needs to come from somewhere. That's water that's not going to farmers, not going to nature, not going to our taps.

There's a whole host of other issues with AI-generation too.

1: The companies behind them don't give the slightest damn about copyright. One of them quite literally stated that them being forced to pay for copyright would mean their downfall. They're stealing artwork from people who need to live off of making art, and copying it without so much as a shred of acknowledgment.

2: AI generation can, and often will, straight up lie to you. Cookbooks, medical advice, basic facts, basic mathematics (which is deeply ironic). Many statements made my AI have not only proven to be outright false, they're also sometimes actually very, very dangerous.

3: Deepfakes. Intentional, user-created lies. These aren't too relevant here, but by golly is it already becoming far better at faking images than I would ever have imagined.

4: Grok in particular is owned by a very, very dangerous and deranged man. Though I cannot talk about this further 'cause it's against forum rules. And you just… give him your money? wild

5: Overreliance on AI actively, and quite rapidly dumbing down the people who rely on them. GBK explained this in this thread, which you didn't seem to have read.

And for the record, I do not wear brand clothing, nor will I ever. I don't care about looking good, frankly. I do own an iPhone, but it's the only apple product I own, and it's a positively ancient model that I fear might not be supported in a year or two. Once it's straight-up becoming unusable, I intend to switch to a brand that recyles their phones. The new models are outside a price range I'd consider acceptable anyhow.

    I'm gonna leave it there.

    period

ah makes sense, im just lazy and didn’t want to do the math myself lol. probably gonna refrain using ai in general if this is how others feel about it

You should do some research. Just search for the negative effects AI has on the environment and how they're storing computers/data centres used to power AI. (They've started to put them in the ocean, which is wreaking havoc on marine life because they generate so much heat) Also, the amount of fresh water that gets wasted on this stuff is insane. Especially when there are countries without fresh water, to use it on computers before people in need is really out of touch. Like, for real inform yourself on that stuff. It's eye-opening and makes you question why these people with loads of money get away with destroying the planet simply just because they have the funds to do so.

you want everyone to adapt their playstyle to stealth after crying for distortion to be nerfed because of survivors stealthing too hard and then implementing an actual mechanic to end games and reveal locations when survivors are stealthing too much?

i’m going to guess you’re new here.

also stealthing is not fun. who wants to sit on gens and avoid the killer the entire game? that is literally why you killer mains have cried for distortion to be gutted and now you’re switching up saying you WANT people to stealth instead of nerfing a killer that is currently too oppressive and requires very little skill to master? ok buddy.

  • At this point, I truly don't think they care if removing certain aspects of the game people enjoy will make something boring. They want to remove everything that wasn't intended, even if we found joy with the unintended features. It's such a shame. They want to take away what makes this game fun? I won't play anymore; it's that simple.

Seeing some killers complaining about trying to find slugged bots and they don’t wanna surrender because they don’t think it’s fair survivors can and killers can’t because they’ll lose out on more bloodpoints and pips. I think deerstalker being basekit when all bots are slugged would help.

Have you tried not slugging? Very easy solution to your problems.

This game used to be so fun so silly so casual what I’d give to have 2016-2022 dbd back again from when the knight came out this game has been on a rapid decline for the fun factor

6.1 marked the end of an era everyone’s favourite bits about dbd were starting to die out before 6.1 dbd was perfect in my opinion 50/50 kill rate both sides were having fun balance was never generally talked about much only a few outliers

The knight chapter came out the first killer that made me want to stop playing the design power and overall fun of this killer is awful and still will forever be awful this also came with the removal of locker saves instead of removing double locker set ups you just removed a skill expressive mechanic

Skull merchant chapter I don’t even need to say anything about this one lol we all know why this is on here

Then came the big changes The death of dead hard the healing nerf the death of circle of healing and then that’s when it clicked to me this game isn’t about casual fun anymore it’s about sweating and rushing gens and trying so hard on both sides…

Now we ask ourselves the game has never been so quote on quote balanced but why is the balanced version hated by the majority of players ?

CAUSE IT ISN’T FUN dbd has lost its identity for most the devs want it to be competitive and serious as possible they want to make sure the survivor role doesn’t have fun they want to make every match a sweaty gen fest this game is just soulless now to be honest

Flashbangs are obsolete now. No point in running them at all since you might as well just run a flashlight and trade your bang for a different perk. Crazy. Survivors endure so much nonsense from this company.

Just gonna complete the first week's tome and then stop til tthe next one. The mode isn't particularly fun and the constant Ghoul pickrate just adds to more frustration.

I cant even do challenges without getting tunnelled out lmfaooooooooo

Dead by Daylight’s Blood Moon Event 2025 | Everything To Know | Dead by Daylight

Full disclosure, I have not played the event yet. However, I can already tell that survivors are going to wish they still had access to useful stealth perks. It is also reassuring to hear that the killer's perks have been restricted in this event.

I can't wait to play both sides, what are your opinions?

    Bad

I guess Killers can become invisible and kill Survivors that cant see them. But Survivors cant save a teammate when slightly out of LoS.

    Comparing Apples to Bananas.

Survivors cannot see Spirit's current position while she is phasing, but Spirit cannot see the Survivor's current position either. Both sides are reliant upon using what information (audio from both sides) they have and making reads based on it. Spirit has also been nerfed and adjusted a lot (rightfully so since release Spirit was busted).

Flashbangs are different. The range for Flashbangs was really far and the blind radius made it so you could get some absurd blinds. To make matters worse, you could also get blinded when looking away or when looking up because they were bugged, as well as the audio not playing properly, leading to situations where you just lose a down because of things out of your control. They needed adjustments.

To put it bluntly, the biggest distinction between the two is design and intention.

    Sure

It wasn't just Background Player, Flashbang was the issue here, blinding from an angle where the killer cannot even see was never an intended action.

The Spirit has entered the chat.

For real, though, that's super disappointing. I guess Killers can become invisible and kill Survivors that can't see them. But Survivors can't save a teammate when slightly out of LoS. Welp. GG. RIP Flashbang.
