my suggestion is to simply fix the camping issue. as a new player, I can tell when someone is camping, and camping honestly is fun to no one but the killer.
This game will always have camping. And you gotta accept that this game is not a competitively viable game it just wasn't built for that.
If you stomp a killer too hard as survivor. They will camp.
Gonna be honest though as much as it suck to be a survivor. Getting your ######### kicked in as killer is much worse. It's a hell experience with everyone t bag at every pallet stun and clicking their flash lights at you.
I quit dbd at this point. Solo queue isn't fun cause uncoordinated teammates are frustrating. And as killer if I win people always gotta be mean in end game chat saying I don't deserve the win. Then when I lost recently trying nurse for the first time they talked ######### there also. Making fun of me.
I don't think anyone has fun in this game.
Lol I wanted to talk about camping they I started talk about how dbd just isn't fun

Your point?
When or if mmr is implemented this won't happen any more. Red ranks are a mash of really bad and good players and are basically meaningless.
Dude they absolutely should never implement a mmr system in this broken game.
I can see the massive increase in tunneling already

Cant we also reverse it then and say competitive swf are the only teams that can win against a good spirit or Nurse?
If by good you mean the top .1% yeah I guess so.
Then you also have to define what counts as a win more than 6 hooks or 3+ kills

I know that they are good but what's the point if they are gone so fast? As the others have pointed out the problem is not the strength of the hex perk but the fact that they are swiftly cleansed because they conveniently spawned right next to a gen
Cause that's how strong most totems are. like 1/8 games it'll be cleansed immediately. But by the time ruin gets cleansed you'd have gotten your fair share of value.

@GoshJosh said:

32 meters is a pretty generous radius, and it has the potential to affect multiple gens. Perhaps it's not the one they were working on, but one you chased them toward too.
It also does not proc and enter cooldown unless at least one generator is affected. It additionally applies to already regressing gens, which I didn't learn until a recent Otz video (thanks for that Otz!). I use it as an added help to Ruin, and in the case Ruin gets destroyed.
Also when you say six seconds, keep in mind it's also preventing you from needing to damage the generator(s) yourself - which in itself takes precious time to do.
Personally though when I was using surge as wraith I was still constantly kicking gens. I probably kicked gens at 2/3 the previous rate.
But I'm pretty sure over all though surge will save you at max 70 seconds. Over the course a 10 minute game. And you only need 4 hooks to make up that time with pop goes the weasel. Ruin out classes surge also.
Surge is an average perk which sits around the value of thanatophobia. Which is ok. But average perks aren't good in dbd. There are much better choices.
-
@GoshJosh said:
Surge is fine as is. The basic attack requirement is most likely so that the game bases the regression on where the killer is physically positioned vs. a ranged down.
Big disagree, surge has barely gets any real value if a survivor runs away from the gen they were just on. It's also procs even if no gens are in range. Plus it only takes away 6 seconds of gen regression.

Respect actually, before I assumed you were another person complaining on this forum.

@Zesty said:
Well I have been playing a very hefty amount of Trickster recently, and I think its safe to say that he is stronger than people realise. He is so fun and effective in the right hands, yet people write him off as the worst killer in the game, regardless of play time or mechanical skill. On ALOT of loops, Trickster can sometimes feel almost too oppressive, take Auto Haven Car loops for example, Huntress can have quite a hard time here, yet Trickster can CONTINUOUSLY fire over the car, get around it before the survivor can even reach the pallet, and has no cooldown between shots.
Move Speed comparison - NO ADDONS
Huntress - 3.08 m/s while bringing up a hatchet and holding it.
Trickster - 3.86 m/s while in throw state and throwing. Down to 3.68 m/s after reaching 30 blades.
Throw Speed comparison - NO ADDONS
Huntress max throw speed - 40 m/s (FULLY CHARGED)
Trickster max throw speed (No "charge" as such needed) - 55 m/s
Time to enter "Throwing States" - NO ADDONS
Huntress - 1.25 seconds (No charge AT ALL, meaning a slow moving and quick to drop projectile)
Trickster - Time to enter Throw State - 0.35 seconds - Showstopper Charge time - 0.35 seconds (0.70 seconds total) Over 0.5 seconds faster than Huntress (0.55 to be exact) He also can remain in this state and throw AS MANY as he wants without any negative side effects like huntress.
If you also count in the fact that Huntress has a 2 second cooldown after throwing a Hatchet, which would add up to a total of 3.25 seconds total after a "possible" successful hit. This is something Trickster doesn't need to worry about, as he can keep throwing blades to his hearts content with no penalty.
Trickster also has his INSANE throw rate multiplier which increases dramatically, the more blades he throws, increasing his overall lethality.
Video of me wrecking havoc on a survivor team - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1041549934 - From 00:26:18 onwards. Credit to HeroForHire.
As Dowsey said, he is SOOO lethal at close to mid - range, and honestly because he doesn't have that 2 second cooldown like Huntress, he actually is better at these range areas (IF U CAN AIM). And that's what it comes down to "If", and "If" you can aim with him, you will begin to question peoples views on him as soon as you start decimating even the Top level survivors.
His power has the potential to be soo lethal and I wish people gave him more of a chance.
How many times have you been playing Huntress and you are at a loop where a survivor is able to duck etc to ignore your hatchets entirely, Trickster doesn't need to worry about this type of inconvenience... With the small hitboxes the knives have and the small size of them, it results in you being able to hit survivors in areas you wouldn't be able to compared to other ranged killers.
I will give Huntress some credit though for being the Queen of being able to injure from a distance, this is just something Trickster will never be able to compete with, as his power isn't supposed to be used in this way. Honestly, IMO people need to stop comparing Huntress to him, as they use their powers so differently compared to each other.
Even in Tricksters "Weakest" areas like Jungle gyms, someone experienced with the timing of his knives and the ability to hit shots, will have no trouble at these areas... I will say however, it can be quite tough to time it right if the survivor is looping it tightly, yet this isn't to regular of an occurrence anyway so you shouldn't have to worry.
Trickster also has some SERIOUS zoning potential. Just throw your knives through the window as you are going around a corner, and it will make the survivor think twice about continuing to loop you that way, ESPECIALLY if they are only a few knives away from a health state.
He is also more forgiving than Huntress... With the vast amount of Knives at his disposal, you don't have to ever worry about missing 1 or 2 knives when trying to down a survivor, whereas Huntress requires a TON more precision and a hefty wind up time to be able to hit a survivor, resulting in survivors getting more distance and possibly to a more safe area than intended.
Trickster just to put it simply, is the King of Short - Mid range combat and loops, making him VERY oppressive in the right hands. His almost Impossible to dodge knives and incredible fire rate, will make even the best survivors question their choices for getting greedy and running round that loop another time. Whereas with Huntress, that Survivor will get around it maybe 2 or 3 more times, before you can even get the LOS to hit the survivor. This is because of her slower move speed while she is in her power compared to Trickster.
Trickster also has a VERY small terror radius, which can be made even smaller (16M) with M&A, allowing him to get close enough to the survivors before they can even react to him. Huntress has a 40 m lullaby which gives survivors ample warning to find cover and get prepared for her approach, this can't be said for Trickster.
I advise you ALL to try him out and see if you like him, I personally have been playing him for a long time now "basically main him" and he is so strong when my aim is crispy!
Let me know what you think about my post below and if you disagree, I'm always open for a debate. However, be nice and don't be rude lol!
Where I would rate him on the Tier list - F if played by someone with little to no experience. C if played by a person with decent aim and map awareness. B If the person has insane aim and map awareness.
Overall a low B tier killer in the hands of a godly person!
Dude if you're not rank 1 with this killer I don't think your opinion on his true strength has any value. I have no reason to believe your words are more right than anyone elses

Splitting hairs. If you read the sentence as it stands. Tunneling is defined as a grief offence. You are reading into the sentence adding context. No where does it state more than one game. Targeting a specific person repeatedly (repeatedly is defined more than once...(tunneling)) in order to ruin their game experience. As people are aware tunneling is a toxic move (yes I agree it is a strategy that some use). Babysitting can defined in this section too cause killer is causing grief ruining their game experience. Tunneling and babysitting do cause grief and are ban-able offences but we won't do anything about it.
No you are purposefully ignoring context and intentions of the developers to say tunneling should be bannable.
It's right there stated tunneling is not bannable. Sure the developers may have worded it wrong. Don't go putting words in the devs mouths, tunneling is still not bannable.

I see so many people say that he is really strong now. Has someone gameplay of a good wraith against good survivor? I would like to learn how to use his lunge in different loops.
Im not bad at wraith, but it seems i dont use his full potential bc i struggle against good survivor and the wraiths i play against are not a problem either.
So if someone knows a streamer or played against a good wraith and recorded it, can you share it?
I think you won't get good if you think wraiths power is in his lunge. Hit and run wraith is the optimal way to play him.
If you're trying to win with wraith, he wins by keeping everyone injured with his free first hit and that builds up into downs.
I've hit rank1 without learning with zero loop skills

Yes she has, and it's a really helpful perk against most killers, It's called "Fixated"

https://xboxclips.co/carlosmg-yt/b0b019e2-96c1-40c5-8da4-51ddf46b4806
Please feel free to share any other counterplays against her to help survivors who think she's OP
EDIT: Please note there ARE really good spirits out there who can outplay this, BUT, most games against a Spirit, even against rank 1s, this is going to work. "please prove it by accepting scottjund challenge", ahm... MOST spirits are NOT as good as him... just saying...
You're still missing the point spirt is anti-fun not OP is the issue.
Running around blind against a killer is not interactive game play.
People don't ask for nurse nerf even though she's objectively better than spirt. Cause there's skill and decent amount of counter play
With spirt requires 1/4 that amount of skill and the counter play sucks ass.
Ofc you'll win the arguement if you say "zero counter play doesn't exist". Its easy to argue against an absolute. Spirt is pure anti-fun for the survivor which is the issue.

But now in may we suddenly have a surge of camping threads.
A killer who used Undying Ruin wasn't camping. That's a fact.
Survivors brought this onto themselves.
Classic point to evidence and say it's there but you actual have no way to prove it exists.

Well in that case, what's the point of changing into a survivor? You can just make the tonic inflict Oblivious or something and it would have a similar effect
Cause it'll make it fun :) sometimes you might accidentally run from a teammate. Like imagine if you got hit in a jungle gym while working on the gen with a friend. And suddenly there's 3 survivors and you don't know whose's safe.

@DawnMad said:
If you make the cooldown that low people can just use it to move faster. Unrelenting is fine, 30% is plenty on the already low missed hit cooldown. The reason it's not used isn't the numbers, missing attacks is not something people plan to do so it will never be used in actual builds. This is one of those "training wheel" perks, not every perk can be strong.
I'd like to disagree. It's not even close to a training wheel perk. No one in the lower ranks are doing any fancy 360 or complex movements that would cause a lower rank killer to miss. So who is the training wheel for?
This perk is not fine at all, it's rated as one of the worst perk.
I think bringing the perk up to the level of Franklin's demise would be great. People bring Franklin's when they don't want to deal with the survivors flash light that day.
If we could make Unrelenting counter 360's survivors and dead hard that would be great. I think 60% would be a great number

When Undying was released and Undying Ruin was meta, there wasn´t a single thread about camping killers. Instead we had tons of threads that complained about killers being gifted wins by the perk combo, that survivors shouldn´t be forced to do totems or change their loadout.
Now that Undying is useless, we got the camping killer threads back. Which isn´t exactly a surprise. Because when survivors were asked, what they prefer, doing totems or camping killers. They said they prefer the later one, because they already had the perks to deal with the situation.
I doubt it people have been complaining about camping since the inception of this game.

Why does Hag get so much free, easy hits?
If hag didn't have this camera I'd never get any hits. Good survivors are too strong against her slow move speed

I would like to suggest a perk to prevent the face camping of survivors , i t would be called
ROADHOUSE~ this perk will activate if a killer is with a certain distance of the hook for more then 5 or 10 sec the survivor will then get the ability to kick the killer in the face, stunning the killer and giving a 50% chance to YEET off hook.
the camping of killers is a big problem and needs to be addressed , DS helps against tunneling off hook but what about the face camping killers that bring a tent and smores to watch you die on hook?
(times and percentages could be easily changed to help with balance of gameplay these are just numbers for the instance of the perk to show what it could do)
Devs already tried to prevent face camping. What occured was survivors abusing that exact mechanic to win games.
Like is a killer suppose to ignore the survivor clearly in his face trying to get the hook. There's no way for a killer to counter a coordinated team.
I think it was discovered it got to messy trying to control camping. The game design of hook system is inherently flawed. And you cant change hooks without making a completely new game.
-
@Tsulan said:
Camping and tunneling are side effects of the current gen speeds.
When killers don't feel cornered because they lost 2 or 3 gens in a single chase, then they won't camp and tunnel.
Fixing gen speed won't change how camping and tunneling is still the optimal move. It just is now a previously tunneling brown rank survivor won't feel the need to tunnel until he gets to green rank.
-

Im really struggling to see how nurse is all that good outside of an "if", because literally everything that relates to her is inconsistent. And dont even get me started on her ######### lunge, tier 1 myers has a better lunge than whatever the hell nurse's lung3 is, and even that is inconsistent.
Are you really trying to tell that such a buggy mess with such amount of inconsistencies and such a ######### big learning curve is supossed to be better than spirit that has the same results with less effort?
Now that i got that out of my chest, any tips on how to play nurse? Because im about to create a smurf account solely for learning nurse because trying to learn a kew killer in high ranks is forbidden.
Her lunge distance should be shorter lunge distance is based on movement speed

Her lunge is the same of all other killers. In fact if you attack right after a blink the range is actually a bit shorter because you don't get sufficient acceleration for a lunge.
For OP, Nurse is all about muscle memory. You'll suffer a ton until one day you realize you finally get what to do. I recommend you watch SupaAlf, he's an insanely good Nurse main.
This is misinformation. A killer's lunge distance is completely based on their current movement speed. So a nurse's lunge should be shorter than everyone's. This is also why wraith's out of cloak lunge is super far cause his movement speed jumps to 6.9m/s

That seems like a terrible idea to me. A lot of the Hags I've played against use their mouse wheel to teleport, which leads to instant hits on survivors. All you're doing is running the risk of allowing the Hag to get an easy hit on you.
Not to mention, Hag can reset her traps pretty quickly. I've seen them do it mid chase.
Whelp yeah don't do it in front of their face. But as hag if you aren't close enough you can't tp. And if you immediate tp to a full health survivor while chasing an injured survivor you get horrible value.
Like I'm not gonna run into trapsthat blindly. But ruining hag set ups is fun.

Here’s one:
The Beast:
Name: Keira
Height: Short
Speed: 115% | 4.6 m/s
Ethnicity: Amazonian (South American [Native])
Power:
The Hunt:
Ability: Scale
Press and hold the Power Button while against any vertical or horizontal (upside down) surfaces to attach to and move/climb across it in any direction. While scaling, the Beast is able to vault through vault points to reach points of high elevation.
When reaching a corner for a wall or ceiling automatically change direction to scale the proceeding surfaces.
The Beast is undetectable while scaling.
Any where the Beast scales are covered in orange scratch marks visible to all survivors when within 12 meters of them. When the Beast is scaling a horizontal surface, glowing saliva droplets will fall from the Beast onto the floor; creating pools that linger for 5 seconds.
If the Power Button is released and the Beast falls on a pallet it is broken and the Beast is stunned for 1.5 seconds.
Additionally, if the Beast falls on a survivor, the survivor is injured and becomes broken for 45 seconds; after which, the Beast is stunned for 3 seconds.
While scaling, move at 6.0 m/s or 150% movement speed.
Special Attack: Death Stalk
While scaling, press the Attack Button while aiming in any direction (besides the wall which the Beast is clinging to) to perform an large pounce attack. Successfully landing this attack will result in the survivor put into the dying health state and the Beast is stunned for 5 seconds.
If the Beast pounces onto/into a breakable wall or pallet, it is broken and the Beast is stunned for 1.5 seconds.
While pouncing, the Beast moves at 16.0 m/s or 400% movement speed. If the Beast touches the floor during a pounce, the Beast is stunned for 4 seconds.
If the Beast is still pressing the Power Button while pouncing, the Beast will automatically cling onto any touched surface (besides the floor).
Special Ability: True Awareness
After collecting 45 blood lust charges, True Awareness is available. To activate, press the Secondary Power Button to reveal the location of all survivors outside your terror radius through killer instinct for 10 seconds. After, you become undetectable for 24 seconds.
Gain one blood lust charge for each second in chase. While scaling, gain an additional charge per each gained during a chase.
Perks:
•Hex: Blood Crazed:
The thrill of tasting blood, festers and creates a power that is both primordial and addictive. This hex roots it’s power in the blood split in the hunt, growing in intensity as your prey continues to bleed.
For each successful injury inflicted onto a survivor while in a chase, Hex: Blood Crazed gains a token.
For each token, gain a stackable 2% haste effect.
While out of chase, gain a stackable 5/10/15% haste effect.
Hex: Blood Crazed has a 25 second cool down between receiving tokens.
The effects of this hex persist as long as the related hex totem stands.
•Death from Above:
Your prey stubble under the canopy of darkness, as you watch from above in dreadful anticipation.
After falling a great distance, all survivors within your terror radius are exposed for 60 seconds and scream revealing their location for 6 seconds. Death from Above has a 120/100/80 second cool down.
•Hunter’s Folly: Those who attempt to prowl in your domain, meet their end. Their hubris will be their downfall.
When a survivor falls a great distance, receive a notification and become undetectable for 12/14/16 seconds. Survivor fall recovery and grunts while falling are increased by 25/50/75%.
Story:
A nimble and ferocious monster, Kiera, inhabited the wild and dense forests of the Amazon. Her village was secluded and without many outside connections. On a dark and quiet night, she was born. However, Kiera was not normal, she had an abnormally lithe frame and long arching fingers, each with a sharp nail. Her feet were bent awkwardly making them seem more animal like than human.
However, she was abandoned for her feature and then mutilated by the various creatures that stalked the forest; Kiera learned to survive by remaining in the trees and attacking her prey from above while scavenging for food that she could not get through hunting.
After years, she moved moved up the food chain becoming an apex predator among all the animals. The locals called her the Beast. One who will kill for food and mane for sport. Her deep hatred for humanity place them high on her list of killing priority. None could peaceful pass through her territory without a great chance of death, of which there were many.
Eventually, a mob formed to hunt the Beast. Of the group of 30, Kiera was able to kill 23. However, in the end, they were able to capture her; pinning her down and prying open her chest to watch her bleed out. Finally, believing her dead, the remaining villager mob dissipated leaving the supposed corpse ready to rejoin nature. Until a black fog began rolling in.
The body of Kiera disappeared and when the villagers returned to collect the dead, only skeletons remained of the 23 dead. With the supposed 24th gone.

Tunneling is still valid strategy to used to win. Even though you shouldn't use it to win. And ds isnt the only antitunneling perk.
There should be a limit to how much developers should force a survivor to play in a game.

No mean to disrespect but if you think you're facing a team of SWF as often as you are. You're not they were just better.
But a the same time if you're on pc with a graphics there's a way to turn on your brightness setting for DBD. It makes the killer experience 10 times better. Um tbh if you're getting tunneled that much as survivor I gotta say you probably aren't at red rank level. Which is the sad part about the survivor experience. You can rank up by just doing basic objectives. The times I've tunneled recently as killer I more often happen to stumble upon them from often than not and they always are the worst rank out of everyone. Even when ranking up I've noticed the higher ranks generally always get out more. Not cause they are better loopers, but cause they chose paths I won't be at. I patrol gens randomly as wraith and they seem to know about the places I won't go to.
