ehh 4 mans arent too common but even a duo will ######### you and they are common

So will nurse's be that useful. Cause as you saw what I wrote before. I don't often find myself getting that much value out of nurse. By the time they figure out I'm slugging. will they wait for the last moment to pick up their friends or will it be more optimal for them to heal a slugged survivor. What is the counter play?

Or how about the Brutal Strength to destroy loops faster as legion to create a dead zone.

From my understanding of rank 1 survivors. Is that they won't heal as much against legion. Cause it's smarter to rush gens.

an SWF will make Knock out obsolete, trade it out for Nurse's and you have yourself a solid build.

Interesting how often do you think I'll encounter a swf group in dbd rank 1. That's my goal. Cause knock out still works against solos

Pretty sure it'll get disabled, but good question.

The only relevant thing it says on the wiki is "If there are multiple instances of Open-Handed present in a Trial, they will stack their respective values", which I guess implies that if a survivor is no longer in the trial (dead) then it will not stack.

changing this stacking ability in the next patch though

  • I mean if you can m1 with any killer you can use ghost fface

  • if there are too many hook campers I you just gotta get good tbh. People camp hooks at 17+ rank

I'm not even saying this in a disrespectful way cause it's super easy

You only need to do gens and even if you get hooked instantly you will rank up. The game calculates rank by calculating how much time you spend doing something useful for the team. Like healing unhooking and gens

  • Damn if you were going for a cosplay build if you could get chrome handles that would be lit. Neither white nor black

  • Nothing has changed like that. And no way do pc players somehow cheat. This is like one of the least cheat filled online game, where it's also impossible to tell if a person is cheating without it being blatantly obvious.

with the difference that Nintendo can absolutely afford these things.

I mean nintendo also has 12 dlc characters that you can only pay for individually or in a bundle. Exactly like DBD. And I hundred percent doubt that this company somehow put themselves in a position where they are losing money by adding a licensed character

  • To the legion point that's also why he's consider one of the worst killers still. Even if you managed to get feral frenzy off you still didn't get anything out of it. Gens are still being completed survivors, sure they waste 8 secs mending. But as a legion if you don't get back to the lucky break survivor within 30 sec(16 healing+8 mending+6 excess time). You effectively applied zero pressure. In addition you have lost 60 seconds of generator time, considering other people on gens.

Currently it feels like I'm making an argument to why legion sucks cause med kit OP. Cause if a person manages to heal against legion twice while not going to hook. and after the 3rd time then most likely the legion is going to lose the match.

In reference to the t1 myers. Thats the one where he gets walls hacks right? Well yeah that's an obvious counter if your perks is specifically used to hide from killers. There's no way to hide from killers using wall hacks. Sure lucky break might not be effective against you. But the 95% of times lucky break is nice to have. Iron will is still considered an S tier perks even if myers or wraith has the wall hacks add on.

Sloppy butchers only takes away 4 seconds of healing. And lucky break also counters Haemorrhage.

Also wait why are you taking nurse's calling on T1 myers. It has a shorter range of 28. It seems a bit redundant if you already have a stronger wall hack add-on

It's a good thing that a perk that does that doesn't exist, now isn't it?

Now... snark aside. Riddle me this.

How much good is Lucky Break going to do you if I'm on Legion and you're the start of my Frenzy chain? The answer is none. You lose time on your perk and I lose nothing.

How much good is Lucky Break going to do you if I'm on Myers and I step around the corner in Tier 1, stab you, and let you go? The answer is again none. Tier 1 Myers can't force downs anyway so I'm going to go Oppression kick your gen and look to ambush somebody who blew up a Gen or you again when I see you with Nurses or Surveillance.

How many instances of that sort of thing happening will your 90 seconds survive? 2 maybe 3? You could easily end up losing your perk before I try to force a down through it.

That's why I think Lucky Break isn't as big of a deal as everyone is making it out to be. Does it counter the current Killer meta of only fast downs all the time? Yup. Do Killers have other viable but unused tools to then counter Lucky Break? Also yup. So... it might shift the meta, it might not. However what I can confidently say is that it *will not* make Killer an unfun mess of an experience. If you are one of the who do think it'll do that... well... you need to upgrade your imagination to look past the Meta and to what else might be possible with our current tools on the Killer side.

I don't think lucky break is as OP as people think but also I do think you're still underrating the perk. So if you take lucky break you probably would have a med kit. Else its point less.

In reference to your frenzy comment. That's ok so the survivor will lose about 10 secs from mending + 5 secs to make sure you're not chasing them. Which still leaves 59 secs after healing for 16 secs.

Even with the Myers ok you hit them but now they heal. And other gens are still being worked on. People may have lost time on the perk but they still haven't lost a hook state. And they probably will run away before healing incase of nurses calling.

Though I do agree this perk is useless on plague.

You can say the survivors didn't achieve anything other than time lost on a perk. But that's also time the other survivors are spending on gens. The more time you dont have survivor on hook thats less time you have to stop survivors from finishing gens.

  • @burntFuse said:

I'd say if crows are showing up on the bodyblocked survivor, you've held them up too long.

This one actually is legit like when you've hit 3 crows. We got an issue.

  • I genuinely believe dark sense is the best perk for gen rushing. Cause the moment you finish a gen. You can see the killers aura cause he'll probably be after you. All you have to do is walk in the opposite direction as him and you wont be caught.

Remove the licensed characters, would be a start.

    Hear me out:

Licenses consistently have to be renewed, and especially konami and now capcom are absolutely vile when it comes to that. so a lot of money now goes into the licenses

Let the license run out and replace the licensed characters with proxies, respectively remove those that already have (better) proxies altogether.

I know lotsa people would hate it, but it'd allow for cheaper cosmetics and general better stuff.

Nah alot of the allure that brings new comers into the game is the licensed characters. As someone said it's the smash bros of horror game

I mean it's your choice, I think it's a mediocre perk but it's not bad on Legion since it works with Frenzy. It came in clutch for me a lot on Legion.

Sorry if I sounded like I was attacking you. I was just trying to theory craft. And to see your thoughts on why you think it works

  • @glitchboi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2133488#Comment_2133488

I think if you have it at tier 3, you should try it out for a few games. If not, you can replace it with Surge or maybe even Sloppy, though I don't recommend Sloppy since it only works with M1, so maybe Nurse's to track downed survivors and healers?

I mean legitamently it will never trigger in a useful way.

Those who stand in the way of duty will suffer harsh judgement.

Survivors who take a Protection Hit suffer from the Broken

Status Effect for the next 60/70/80 seconds.

In order to take a protection hit

    • Get hit by the Killer while within 10 metres of an injured Survivor.
    • Get hit by the Killer while they are carrying a Survivor on their shoulder.

Downed survivor never counts as injured. And let's say there's two survivor one is injured and the other is healthy. I'll always chase the injured one. And if the guy is body blocking I hit the guy. Then he is broken, so I continue to chase him for 10 secs, down him. Then he's on the floor for let's say 30 secs cause knockout, we know no one is near by cause infectious fright didn't trigger. So now he spends 15 secs on to get to a gen. He works on the gen for 25 secs.

Now if we flip the script without broken 10 secs to chase, 30 secs to get up, 16 secs to heal on the spot 15 to find gen. we got 9 seconds left to work on gens.

Assuming this happened as is. The survivor probably achieved more by not healing. And not only that this perk is only useful if I get back within 96 seconds(80+16 of healing). If I spend over 96 secs the perk isn't useful.

If I get back before then and I see two people at the gens I'll still use frenzy and make them both mend. Both situations the survivors are still forced to mend, but less gen progress if the guy healed.

Not only is healing against legion is bad but this perk is a bit redundant.

My build is BBQ, Blood Echoes, Thantaphobia, and Pop.

Sorry I should have said pure slugging I won't be hooking anyone

  • @glitchboi said:

Oh. Knock Out, Forced Penance, Infectious, and Coulrophobia.

Forced Penance actually gives lots of value on Legion, I've gotten it to work many times and it's deadly. I know there's an add-on for this but Forced Penance lasts longer, way longer.

I'm under the impression that Forced Penance is effectively useless tbh. A good team just won't heal to full against legion and if they do they're just wasting time. Legion's power is too effective in injuring everyone. And they have almost no way to take a protection hit. Though colurphobia is nice in preventing a drive by healing during end game.

  • @glitchboi said:

I run Spirit Fury, Enduring, Surge, and the last perk is usually a throwaway slot, sometimes I set it to BBQ for bloodpoints, Thrilling is a great choice, Pop is also good, Trail of Torment is also pretty good.

Spirit Fury + Enduring are there for their chase power, since it's a bit difficult to get downs with Legion sometimes. Surge is a must-run on Legion.

Nah I'm going for pure slugging like 4 downs then hook

  • @QwQw said:

As a Legion main, my build for them is Surge, Pop, Tinkerer, and BBQ. I always get a ton of value from all four perks.

Currently I'm just trying to that a slugging build to rank 1. Oh ######### though I never considered tinkerer. Though I do have to grind for it now :/ Though I would swap out bbq for surveillance personally

  • This Right here ######### the grind. I don't mind paying 5 dollar for a survivor and a killer. But ######### me I don't want to play 30+ hours on killer just to get one stupid perk. I'd pay for blood points at this time. The game becomes so unenjoyable during the grind for that one build You're trying to make

  • @IWasLeft2Die said:

    Pay to win? No.

Is the grind too much? YES

This right here ######### the GRIND. I was telling my friends ######### IT, I'd pay for blood points if they'd let me. I don't mind you know 5 dollars for a survivor and a killer. I don't play all the killers. DBD compared to like Valorant where skins is $20+ for one skin. It's not bad. A ######### knife skin can cost 35 dollars

But JESUS I don't want to spend 30+ hours on a killer I don't care about to get one stupid perk. Anyone else talk about how hard it is to earn BP as survivor you earn like half that of killers because you don't survive the whole game.
