It really just depends on a couple things.
My mood, for one. If I'm not having a good day, I'm going to be merciless, if I am, I may show mercy.
Two, the play style of the survivors during the match, looping well, and playing a nice chill game, makes me more likely to give hatch than be merciless. If you're a pre drop Andy and just hold W, I will not give you hatch any day of the week. If you use your anti tunnel perks offensively as well, I won't give you hatch since I'm not trying to tunnel you but you're trying to punish me for not tunneling you anyways, not cool.
Three, if the survivors played in a good sportsman like way, regardless of if you're a pre drop Andy or not, if you t bag, gesture towards the killer, click your flashlight, I wont give you hatch. It's obnoxious and annoying.

Well he is sweating as ######### most of the time and still loose a ton.
He is using a macro, as he doesn't do any vertical moves with the mouse during hit 180 turns and the up/down is clearly robotic.
Blight has map pressure but cannot catch any competent survivor fast enough, thinking otherwise is being ignorant and his map pressure is clearly not the strongest in the game. Nurse beats him, Billy aswell.
He doesn't sweat a ton, like I said he plays for fun in his games, you haven't seen him sweat. You want to see Lilith sweat? Take a look at his game against Sample Text, he plays completely different.
Lilith loses because he allows himself to a lot, he doesn't care that strongly, but he also wins just as much while playing casually, you forgot to mention that.
He isn't using a macro, he has a hand cam on his stream, he's doing hand motions with his mouse you don't understand. Just because you don't get it, doesn't mean it's a macro.
Blight can most definitely catch a competent
survivor. He's one of the best killers are doing it, most loops can be rushed around and if you're a good Blight you can end chases quickly. You think a Blight can't catch any competent survivor fast enough? Then why did Lilith beat Sample Text? A comp team?
Your point is null.

Yes indeed, and it is like this in almost every high MMR trials for Lilith...
And on every 180 turns he is using a look down/up macro, he doesn't move his mouse down and up, so even by exploiting he still cannot win...
Edit : and those survivors are clearly not good at looping... pre-dropping all pallets.
Few things, this example you've provided is extremely bias.
He's using a single perk and no addons at decently high MMR, you expect him to win?
Lilith doesn't use a macro, you made that up. The things he does in game are done himself.
Lilith could win most of his games if he wanted to, but he prefers playing for fun rather than winning. The dude beat Sample Text and was moon rushing while doing it, he could win some High MMR games if he wanted.
Blight is S tier because he has the best map pressure in the game as well as some great 1v1, a good Blight player who can use him to the fullest is one of the strongest things in this game, Blights basekit is great and he also has synergy with almost every perk in the game for killer. Not to mention he has some of the best addons in the game.
Frankly, this post is ignorant.

I feel like if you bring Legacy back (which I don't think should be done), you'd have to make it extremely hard to get.
The reason why Legacy exist in the first place is to reward players who P3ed characters back when the bloodweb was one of the worst aspects of the game.
If you'd bring it back, you'd have to make it one of the hardest things in the game to make the OG Legacy Players not feel cheated. As well as making it a visibly different color from the regular legacy.

I know more new killers are playing the game lately but its so boring going against the same killers everytime.
My guy did not just say Billy was not fun.
I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that.

It is simply a symptom that killer is much easier than survivor. With so many anti-loop powers, it is never safe to loop, and with killers that throw projectiles you can't loop.

This is why the devs ignore the forums
Or you could just..get downed then use your ds, open the gate in the 5 second time frame and leave?

That's not MMR.
That's your MMR, finally working correctly.
For a long time, during much of the rank days (and for about half of last year) killers had their matchmaking protections completely disabled due to complaints that red-rank survivors were waiting in queues too long.
Keep crushing it and your MMR will steadily reach a point where you start struggling for a 2k.
Every now and then the system seems to crap itself and give you a really bizarro match (I suspect either smurfs or a lobby dodge before I came in) and occasionally seems to be completely offline but for the most part it's sort of decent at getting me where I should be.
If I get several 4ks in a row, I'll generally find myself up against a 6000 hour sweaty SWF boonsquad that flattens me.
How long do I have to keep getting 4ks to get to that point?
I've been consistently getting 3-4ks with Billy for the past 2 weeks, and I get a team that pre drops and holds w, which is probably the strongest thing you can do in this game, but I still manage to kill everyone or almost everyone.
My MMR has to be relatively high at this point, and if it is and I'm getting survivors who only know how to pre drop and not loop efficiently, I think survivors have had an overall decrease in skill.

"abusing collision in the game, not an exploit"
Abusing collision is the pure definition of exploiting 😂
"In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, speed or level design etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers"
So with Blight and Billy, high level players clearly abuse wall hitboxes to get speed and slide through most tiles. It's an exploit and don't tell me it was intended by the devs, don't forget that they buffed the nurse and will nerf Pinhead...
If it was an exploit, explain to me why the devs balance around these exploits?
-
Issue with this argument is that while they're being used unintended, the devs have decided to balance around these mechanics which mean they think they're fine.

-
No. Whatever side uses them uses them for a blatant advantage and they can select their perks to take advantage of the map to it's fullest.
You should only be able to choose your map in KYFs.

If they were unintended why have they been left in the game for as long as they have been, when they've been know about for months.

You cant do any of the flicks on console, but hug tech for sure is not an exploit
a s flick can be done with base dpi, same with a z flick, these can be done on console, it's just unreasonably hard to do so.

You obviously have never played console if you think we can flick. Our DPI isn't high enough to swing around we do an Arc not a U-turn. We can't do these fancy smancy moves y'all do. You have to raise your DPI to do these things and since you would have to use third party software on your mouse to do that. IT IS AN EXPLOIT. Am I saying it should be fixed? No, doesn't change what it is.
You can flick on console, base game mechanics allow you to do so, and you can hug tech, like I said however, it's unreasonably hard since you're on controller, its next to impossible but since you can do it by the base game mechanics, it's not an exploits. I also haven't changed my dpi to do a z flick or a s flick lol, higher dpi helps, but it's not needed to preform these.
Is moon walking as survivor a exploit since console survivors can't do it?
-
@Sweet_Tour said:
If Console players can't do it, it's not an intended feature thus making it an exploit.
A console players can literally do every single one of the things mentioned, since it's apart of the base game and its mechanics.
It's just unreasonably hard since you're playing Blight with a controller.
Explain to me how any of the things I mentioned other than the lag flick is an exploit.

If 3 gens pop the first chase i would just face camp. This ruining that person's match, so in the end nobody really wins.
Your mentality for this game is something else lmao, you must face camp often.
-
Sometimes due to legal obligations regarding sets when it comes to the Silent Hill DLC and Resident Evil, they have to focus on fixing the set glitches or else they will face legal consequences.
That being said, the hacker problem not being dealt with already is ridiculous
.
-
So people can rage quit and ruin the game for others, so people who don't like how the start of the game has started to screw over the whole gameplay experience? For killers to DC when the first chase causes 3 gens to pop?
What you're suggesting will create far more problems than fix any problems.
-
@Sweet_Tour said:
Just remove the DC penalty period. And just give us some sort of compensation for them leaving. For those about to come and say how you shouldn't DC because it ruins the game for everyone. Last time I checked getting tunneled, face camped, bullied by perks, and other toxic shenanigans along with hacking ruins the game for everyone else to.
No.
-
Before you include my post, actually understand what I'm saying.
Counterplay isn't as simple as don't get hit, because you can get hit at almost every loop with a normal basic attack, the counterplay is having good positioning against a Blight where he can't hit you with his rush.
There are a plethora of loops in the game a Blight can't lethal rush and hit you at if you have good positioning at it.
Sure sometimes you'll have to be out of position, and that sucks, but at the end of the day, if you're out of position against a Blight already you wont be making it out of that situation in the first place.
When bringing up Blights who exploit using the ring, that's a different problem entirely that is separate from the ring.
This is a strong addon, with decent counterplay, it doesn't need a nerf, especially given the climate of the game currently were the survivors have a massive advantage over the killer.
The ring is fine, this is just needless complaining.
Even a nerf that only gives you 3 rushes back or 2 would be the same thing basically, most Blights can hit you if you're out of position with the third or second lethal rush, so it'd be almost instant anyways, just like it is now.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/294804/how-would-you-all-feel-about-a-killer-boon
It's like you don't understand how to play killer.
Killers already complain enough about how they don't have time to cleanse totems or anything. Now you want Killers to waste time hunting down a dull totem, then spend 24 seconds to place a boon for a weak isolated local effect that is inferior to map-wide game-changing effects like Ruin or Devour Hope, and there are four survivors who can easily find a humming glowing blue totem (because Survivors have had tons of practice hunting down Ruin/Undying/Devour Hope).
Now, several years back I suggested that the Killer have an alternate win condition called the "Monstrous Shrine." Basically killer has to collect twigs or voodoo materials or whatever from around the map, then place it in the basement shrine. When completed it will auto-teleport a survivor into the basement hook. Survivors can bust the shrine while it is being built like cleansing a hex totem.
Everyone hated it and crucified me and called me an idiot and said my mother wore army boots yada yada.
And I think my idea was a lot better than yours.
You made a lot of assumptions about how I'd have these killer boons work and proceeded to be blatantly rude.
Before you make these assumption, try to see if your assumptions have validity behind them before you go and act like a jerk lol
-
@Mineguy said:
Let's say all killers would have to share the perks with each other and when one has a build these 4 perks are locked away for all other killers, which builds would you make?

Okay.
I was not arguing win condition because the way MMR works does make it clear cut.
I was arguing that you have to play scummy to win. See the problem is people can call anything in this game scummy. If you bend over backwards to meet the collective unrealistic demands then you aren't going to win because that's scummy. Tunnelling and camping and slugging to an extent are by design it's unfair to ignore them when talking about game balance because that's not how it's intended.
The "blatant problems" you listed are subjective and im not interested in those types of discussions.
So the holding W meta and pre dropping isn't a problem? Boon totems aren't a problem? Map design is not a problem?
These problems aren't subjective dude.

Someone brought you proof that one of the best Huntress players in the world, statistically speaking, uses both of those perks making that point invalid. You decided to say you don't care and ignore the evidence meaning you just want to complain and listen to an echo chamber of your own thoughts rather than being met with the cold hard truth that you're wrong.

It seems you're just upset you can't use your locker perks if 1 out of every 10 Huntress's run Iron Maiden.
The changes you're suggesting are incredibly bad, there is no need to change them because iron maiden is rarely seen.
Just like how your perks help you counter a killers, the killer has the same. The build you mentioned also isn't bad and has nothing to do with slugging. The build is fairly chill, and slugging is something the player does, not the perks.
You're complaining over nothing.

At this point for a killer to win, ie get a 3 or 4k, you have to play in scummy ways,
I stop reading posts like this when points like this get brought up. It's unfair to call a game unbalanced when you are following made-up rules.
The majority of players in the DBD community consider a 3k or 4k as a win for killer, the devs have even said a 2k is a tie, hinting towards a 3k-4k being a win for killers, that being said, my definition of winning doesn't change the fact that the game is still severely unbalanced in the survivors favor, regardless of my win condition.
Before commenting on the post and disregarding everything I said without having read it, read what I said and notice the blatant problems this game has when it comes to balance.
