Hard disagree.
Nurse is hard to top, she is the undeniable best killer in the game, she has great map pressure, and has the best 1v1 in the game, she ignores looping mechanics entirely, and if you go against a good Nurse, you are almost always guaranteed to lose unless your survivor team is comp level.
Blight is also, hard to top, not only does he have great 1v1, one of the best 1v1s in the game, he has the best map pressure in the entire game, which is undeniable, he moves so fast, and counters arguably the strongest playstyle, that being holding w.
Spirit, is nowhere near either of these two after her nerf, without her busted addons she had before, she suffers greatly. Her basekit being nerfed, ie actually being given counterplay is a big hit top her viability as well. If you want to even remotely compare her to Nurse or Blight, we have to assume she is using the mother daughter ring, her strongest addon, even then it's still an uphill battle and I think that goes to show how out matched she is here.
The Artist, while strong, is no where near these two. She has great 1v1, some of the best in the game, this is hard to argue against, but your one way of counterplay against her is holding w, which is were she suffers. She has to deal with this and suffers greatly from it unlike Nurse and Blight, her map pressure while decent is also nowhere near as great as Nurse and Blights. She's more comparable to Pyramid Head, not the top tiers.
All in all, Spirit and Artist are very good killers, but they aren't the best, far far from it.

There's also a simple fix to this, run unbreakable. New boon counters slugging, we're gonna live forever does the same, same for soul guard and no mither, there is no reason to be complaining about slugging anymore.

Oh no, nerfing a killer that has wall hacks, can hit 3 survivors simultaneously without moving and can place crows infront of windows and pallets to deny/get free hits on survivors and shut down gyms ridiculously fast… Sounds fair…
Dead ass just hold W

Issue with this is it creates a easy way for people to rage quite like before, which is something we absolutely do not need.
If you have the option to instantly bleed out if you want, you can just ######### on the first down and basically dc from the game without actually dcing.
It's even harder to ######### on hook now and you'll most likely be saved before you can do so, so I don't think that's even comparable to what you're suggesting.
What you're suggesting would also make an exploit in the game basically become an in game feature, ie dcing for hatch, which is generally considered toxic and rude and so on, we don't need that.
While it may suck you will be forced to bleed out sometimes, whether you decide to crawl to the edge of the map so he can't hook you (which would be your own fault tbh if you were left to bleed out then) or if the killer decides to be a jerk, it's a necessary evil to this game so things don't get a lot worse.
Also the odds of actually getting slugged to death are small, it happens very rarely.
-
Yo I'm not gonna lie, hard disagree on the Artist being better than Pryamid Head, she has better anti loop, but Pyramid Head still has decent anti loop, forces the survivors to be mobile, and can ignore hook perks from the survivors, Pyramid is way better homie.

I'll say it again, your whole post boils down to "just don't get hit". It doesn't offer a solution to why people complain about Alchemist Ring. It just makes you look silly because you probably only play using it.
It's an addon that completely removes one of the counters to Blight, which is forcing him to use all of his 5 tokens to hit you so you can get to a safe position while he's still on cooldown. With the Ring a Blight can hit you and completely disregard the speed boost survivors get when they get injured.
I know what "better positioning" is, everybody with 2 braincells knows what it is. What you're describing is just a general counter to Blight, it doesn't change the fact Alchemist Ring completely removes one of the counters to an already super strong killer in his basekit. I play Blight myself and I know how easy mode it is playing with it.
The only point boils down to making sure you're in a good position, even if a Blight hits you as you're trying to enter a good position, if you get into that good position, you're going to make it rough for him.
Most the people who complain about the Ring, get caught out of position or in a bad one.
You just described the addon, it removes one of the biggest down sides to Blight, which is good, its a very rare addon for a reason and whats the issue about having a strong addon? There isn't one. Also he will only ignore the speed boost you get and catch then instantly, if you're out positioned, right?
Yes, it is a general counter to Blight to have better positioning, and this addon, doesn't increase his speed, doesn't make the rush insta down, it makes his base kit a constant if he can get the lethal rush hits, which he will only get if you counter Blight normally, the addon isn't as bad as people make it out to be if you just have to counter Blight normally to counter the addon.

Oh, right, it's not like those pallets get removed, so end game you will get hit...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2591809#Comment_2591809
Alright tell me how is it different from not using that add-on?
If the pallets get removed then you're still going to have the same problem endgame the same with any other killer, if you have to drop pallets early and you create a deadzone, Blight isn't going to be the only killers whos going to ######### you up endgame, its just a matter of how fast you get ######### up.
Also the only difference is the fact that you're rewarding for you out positioning the survivor in question, which is on the survivor for not being in a good position. Again, Alchemist Rings counter is Blights normal counter. Nothing changes except you have to play better when it comes to avoiding the rush.

Alchemist Ring is easily one of the most broken addons in the game currently, if not the most broken. You simply saying "Just don't get hit" doesn't make any sense. Good Blight's will get hits on you, even if you pre-drop the safest pallets in the game you'll soon be hit when they're broken.
It should be nerfed, even if that means instead of recharging ALL tokens, recharging e.g. 2 tokens. This means if you get a hit within the 2nd rush you'll get all your tokens back instantly. But for any hits with rushes after that you'll still get your all your tokens back faster, but not instantly. This allows survivors to at least get some distance on you and would still be a very powerful addon.
Not a matter of me saying don't get hit, my counter is better positioning, which will in turn make it were you wont get hit for a fair amount of time, there are quite a few tiles in this game that Blight actually can't rush around, those are the best when it comes to countering the ring.
A blight can out position you easily, if you don't constantly keep yourself in a good position, which, you won't always be able to do, which is fair, sometimes you'll be cucked by the addon, doesn't make it over powered, if an addon is strong but has a counter that is doable if you know how to play against Blight, I think its fine, although if you want to nerf it, the way you said, it wont change much since if you're out positioned a good blight will get his rushes back instantly since they don't need to use all their rushes to get a hit at certain tiles.
It's also definitely not the most busted while addons that give Nurse a 3rd Blink or Engineers Fang exist.

maps have limits too and there is distance you need to travel as survivor between each loop...
You just can't avoid getting hit by his power whole game, that's impossible unless he is really bad...
Most maps have filler pallets unless you're playing a map like Shelter Woods, so you should be fine, although even then, if you're going to actively run into the open trying to make it to a long wall instead of playing around a filler pallet, thats on you.

What is that downside? Everything is back to normal? Oh, no so bad...
What is benefit? You basically ignore you power's CD.
It is not just about survivor's positioning, it's also about Blight. Not every loop can save you from him and some loops have big distance between eachother, so Blight will catch you no matter what. If your "tip" would work, that means Blight will never get down unless he plays as basic m1 killer, which is BS.
Downside being you've lost your power and now have to wait for it to return to try again, the downside, many other killers have.
Also, a lot of loops Blight can catch up to you, he's like Bubba in the sense that if you want to live, you have to drop, and you can get to the pallet most times before the Blight reaches you to drop the pallet, still, countering the Ring is all about positioning. My tip does work, most Blights typically either play the loops m1 killer style or leave it all together, means something is working.

If it was that easy to avoid Blight, no one will consider him to be S tier below Nurse.
I never said it was easy LOL, it's going to be difficult, but doable nonetheless

I read your post fully. You wrote "just don't get hit" but with extra words.
No, that's you disregarding my whole emphasis on better positioning, if you have good positioning, the don't get hit remark makes since, because if you have better positioning, you won't get hit by the rush, not a hard concept to understand, the rush has limits.
-
@GannTM said:
A killer shouldn’t be able to spam their power like that with just an add on that has no downsides.
Can only spam it if you allow him to land the rush, which if you have good positioning, wont happen.

@Hoodied said:
"Don't get hit by the rush" yeah I don't think you have ever seen how hard that genuinely is without dead hard as I have been hit by a rush that clearly did not hit 1 too many times
Played against Alchemist Ring before, a lot actually, only ever is a problem if I'm out positioned.

@Labrac said:
"Just don't get hit" is not a counter. It has the same of vibe of "just pressure gens".
You didn't read fully then, the don't get hit remark is more so to put a emphasis on the better positioning point, since you won't get hit if you do have good positioning.

Thing is that unless you try to combine it with movement speed add-on, when you can lose all charges for nothing, there is no drawback to it.
Yeah, play around it? Blight will hit you sooner or later with it even if you are tournament player.
How I would fix it, two ways:
-Nerf maximum number of charges by 1
or
-Successful hit recovers up to 3 charges
With a movement speed addon it's still a matter of positioning regardless, that doesn't change, the only draw back to these addons are if the survivors knows what they're doing.
-
- Tickster since on a few maps there will be few LOS breakers and you need that to counter his power.
- Trapper since I always step in his traps like a ######### head.
- Twins due to the constant slugging, although I do like kicking babies.
-
I have to say, Borrowed Time has to be the best survivor perk in the entire game.
-
It's simple, Lilith Omen has made Blight as popular as he is currently. He's been growing rapidly on Twitch, sometimes being up there with the most viewers for streamers who play DBD. He's shown the community that he's viable, and his guide that he made as of recent has also helped many people start playing Blight more. Not to mention that other bigger DBD creators are recognizing how good Blight is as of late, I feel like Otz putting Blight in S tier also really helped the community finally start showing Blight attention and so on. So, what has made Blight so popular, is content creators.

Yeah, this happened to me last game. It needs a fix.

As a former Myers main, I think this build will benefit you the most
- Lethal Pursuer, so you can get an easy stalk early game and get out of T1 as soon as possible, it makes Myers early game not so bad.
- Corrupt Intervention, so generators at the start don't fly, this paired with Lethal makes his early game actually pretty good.
- Pop goes the Weasel, to slow down generators over the course of the whole game.
- Bamboozle, when you do go T3, this will help you a ton, cuts off loops, can get you a free down or a instant drop on a god pallet.
-
I am a Pyramid Head main, I've sunk a good amount of time into him and these are what I would say to be the best build on Pyramid Head.
- Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer, and Discordance, pretty much any gen regression in place of Ruin and Undying is good on him.
-
A few killers strike fear into me
- Any stealth killer on an indoor map
- Oni who knows how to use his power
- A good Blight, Nurse, or Spirit
-
Nurse is in a good spot currently, balance wise.
She is by far the strongest killer in the game and ignores base game mechanics which makes her nuts, but this comes with a huge learning curve, a learning curve only few people can get past and get really good with her.
You don't see too many good Nurses ever, hell it's rare to get a Nurse as your killer in a game period, and due to this I don't think she needs a nerf. She's not played nearly enough and not enough people play her at a high level, which leaves room for counter play, this counter play being
- breaking line of sight
- occasionally doubling back
- getting a good dead hard off Now a good Nurse has really no counter in this game, other than doing the things I said above but y'know, faster, better, ect ect, I think that's okay, good Nurses tend to only play good survivor squads which, is fine, a high level survivor group against a good Nurse is fair, considering how much more survivor sided the game is at high level play. A killer like Nurse with someone who plays them good, is going to be one of the only killers that can even keep up. I think the main reason why people would want to nerf Nurse is because a good Nurse is oppressive as #########, but I don't think just because a killer is oppressive, means they need a nerf, there are some really oppressive Trappers out there, he doesn't need a nerf. Her power isn't unfair or anything, it's just difficult to go against someone who knows how to use it, which is fine, Nurse is in a great spot, a few addon adjustments and I'd say she's in a perfect place.
