After hitting second stage while the killer isn't even camping or hook trading to get someone off hook and then nobody comes to trade for me I just can't be bothered to do struggle checks anymore. Seriously, if not one person can get off gens or hiding in a corner to come save their teammate from getting more than one hook state per hook I'm looking for another group. Sure, I completely underst17 comments 351 views last activity

I'm so talented I can do this simultaneously! Well, not really, I'm just sharing because the only thing that's sillier than this I've heard recently was a three gen is 'camping' gens and I want to share some stories on this thread. Long story short, I barely see two survivors as they were staying hidden so I alternate slugging and hooking the other two who actually do hook saves and more than hi3 comments 81 views last activity

Seriously. For the last couple of months I was getting toxic survivors and tbagged only a couple of times a week and literally no insults in chat for the last month while averaging 8 killer matches or so a night. Cue the Blood Rush and it's now about 5 to 6 times a night I get BMed with post game chat insults mixed in at times. As an example, I just finished a game on AutoHaven Wreckers with De4 comments 71 views last activity

I just saw the Netflix produced Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Bubba actually left victims to look for more victims. Completely unrealistic. Not only that I didn't see a single basement. Very few survived but that's probably because none of the survivors in the film ran in circles or tried to smack Bubba with a piece of wood. Huge miscalculation on their part. They need to git guud. Don't get me wrong; I'm not going to call NOED cheap or say it doesn't belong. In fact, if you run NOED as part of an end-game build and manage to 4K the group despite being effectively perkless for most of the match the Killer did great. However, NOED (and face camping) is a crutch for new killers and puts them in a situation where their long term skills don't improve. As it's overly effecti27 comments 251 views last activity

With a perk load-out of Boil Over, Flip Flop, No Mither and Yui's perk that lets people wiggle faster and tricked out flashlights while I'm learning Nurse. They also headed straight to a corner they obviously knew about and could flashlight save. However, there were 2 randoms and I managed to hook each SWF member once, with great difficulty, but I did which, when combined with three hooks betwee2 comments 71 views last activity

I'm referring to the stuck in a 'Stuck in a Killer MMR bullying loop' video. When I play solo queue survivor I also play very selflessly, take lots of protection hits, take aggro to save a teammate on death hook, etc and, because of that, I've been sacrificed a lot. Consequently, I end up in games where I get a string of brand new killers who literally can't catch me. As an example, I've been14 comments 371 views last activity

This is kind of spitballing an idea. As noted in how emblems work, a game that lasts longer and allows for more interaction is more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the most efficient strategy on the killer side is to rush a player out of the game ruthlessly and the most efficient way to get out as a survivor is to rush gens. Neither of these tactics are enjoyable for the other side. As an idea, what9 comments 71 views last activity

I have to admit I find BHVR's attitude about toxicity to be confusing. On the one hand, I do believe, regardless of opinions about the end result, that DbD's devs care about their game, do their best with a complicated situation, and want to see their game thrive. However, and regardless of whether someone feels people should just ignore it or not, there is a substantial minority of players t15 comments 771 views last activity

TLDR at bottom Okay, I've broken multiple bones, had two root canals, and had a finger that was so badly infected that they were considering removing it. To save it they had to cut it open without anasthetic so I could soak it in hydrogen peroxide. I mention this as I recently completed something in DbD that was comparable in terms of misery. What was that you say? It was unlocking Legendar0 comments 41 views last activity

I think BHVR should remove depipping entirely. I thought of this due to survivors depipping in the case of a facecamping/tunneler. First, a few statements and definitions so this doesn't get derailed. (A) I consider tunneling to be the first three of possibly four hook states to be on one survivor. (B) I am not stating anything about proxy camping nor if facecamping and/or tunneling should9 comments 381 views last activity

I thought I would write this after reading the threads about Tru's video and the one on Lightborn. To understate it, there appears to be a lot of differing opinions on the subject In my opinion, a lot of the debate comes from differing opinions of 'win' and 'fun'. For me, I win if I have fun; that doesn't necessarily mean kills. A fun game where I get 6 to 8 hooks but zero kills but done in a25 comments 352 views last activity

I put this into its own thread as it I feel it deserves its own discussion. Most discussions seem to focus on penalizing the killer's BP. I am arguing this is not the best approach due to: (A) Tunneling is a legitimate tactic that puts much more pressure on the survivors (Please note that I almost never tunnel but also recognize choosing not to costs me games I could have won) (B) Survivor4 comments 41 views last activity

Another thread got me thinking about this. On the killers I normally play, I'll get an average of 2K per match. However, for a few hours at night, my typical games changes from 5 to 9 hooks with 2K to 2 to 3 hooks with 0K. Do you think that's due to a higher prevalence of SWF at night, a lower number of players overall matching me outside of my MMR range (are there even a lower number of playe2 comments 51 views last activity

I thought I would throw this in here since we quite often only hear about negativity. For the holiday event, I've been trying out an idea on the killer side and then I saw how it's going on the survivor side. Essentially, over 90% of my killer play has been Trapper with the Krampus cosmetic and I one hook each survivor at most and then drop off slugged survivors by snowmen when possible for thei1 comments 71 views last activity

The reason why I'm asking is that I normally play survivor during the daytime and killer at night. However, at night, when I want to grab some food or do a challenge I play a few survivor games as the longer survivor queue gives me time. Normally, I only occasionally get stomped as survivor once or twice (and sometimes that's just a solo queue issue) and then the next few games are fine; a few33 comments 471 views last activity

First part https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/295951/how-to-get-victor-to-play-right So, Disco Ace here and your guy was just out for a stroll in an automobile wreckin' yard with some of the survivors from the Campfire. No, I'm not saying nurse should be buffed. What I'm saying is that the nerfs to Cenobite's add-ons were unnecessary and the logic behind it doesn't make sense. If Cenobite is overperforming as it had a roughly 60% kill rate then Nurse, who had a roughly 43% kill rate overall, needs buffs. Just saying that about Nurse helps display the problems with balancing the game and I think a lot of this5 comments 181 views last activity

So, I'm at the exit gates and the cute little tyke runs up to me and I crouch down and pet him on the head. Victor growls a bit and then gives me a hug. I think 'cool, the kid needs just a bit of love so I hug him back but he kind of reminds me of this cat I had that would always just extend their claws'. How do I get him to play right? His big sis shows up and, well, I think she's got a thi3 comments 84 views last activity

Just something that always confused me. It just seems standing there doing their tea dance in front of the killer who has to watch you to gain power and has add-ons that allow him to down and/or kill someone with one-shot is a colossally bad idea. It's about the only time I get a 4K with Myers but is he just not faced enough many people don't understand his mechanics?4 comments 91 views last activity

I just read someone describing a flashlight at a pallet as toxic. Why is it toxic? My thought is just that the person describing it doesn't realize it's 500 extra BP to blind a killer and it's easier to get flashlight challenges done at a pallet. As well, it seems to give the survivor an extra second or so to get away. Are there people who do it to be toxic? And I apologize beforehand to anyo34 comments 431 views last activity

More consistency. When I play killer I want the killer to do well. Then I solo queue as survivor and, every so often, I end up wanting the killer to do well... Usually after my one hook... See, consistency.4 comments 121 views last activity

Hi, I just tried mobile and then bought the game in the middle of August. I'm currently Iridescent IV on the Killer side (which I play tons more) and Ash II on Survivor (which I try once or twice a day). I also occasionally try DbD Mobile now. Here are some questions I have for the more experienced players? a) Does this new color grade (I just started right before the changeover from rank) ha6 comments 71 views last activity
