  • And I just ran completely out of RPD offerings... What an annoying achievement and literally the only one I have left.

  • I would say yes with the caveat that it still deactivates after a survivor dies. I don't think it needed to be nuked from orbit like it was but I think rebuffing the regression speed would help for the following reasons: (a) Ruin encourages pressuring gens. If you don't take a survivor off of gens, Ruin does nothing. Camping Killers get very little value. (b) With it deactivating upon the death

  • I'm not going to lie; these bots did better than about a third of the solo queue survivors I've seen. Not enough locker gnoming and crouch walking to be truly realistic but now I'm more in favour of replacing survivors who DC and rage quit with bots. They're probably better team mates. https://youtu.be/_YsVBGXVUY8

  • I'm in match against Pinhead so I position myself by the box. For the first bit, things go smoothly and Pinhead injures someone in chase, I pick up the box, go to a good tile and solve. After a couple of times of this Pinhead starts committing to me. A few minutes later I've been hooked once, only one other survivor has a hook, we're down to two gens and somebody else grabs the box. Pinhead fin

  • Has anyone else noticed this during the event? During my Killer games, I've seen a large increase in tbaggy survivors at pallets. I don't camp or tunnel and always alternate hooks unless BM'ed so I normally saw tbaggy survivors once or twice a month for the last few months. Now it's 2 to 3 games per night I see them. My theory is that they're older players from a very survivor sided time in DbD

  • Today was kind of rough. I played solo queue and I had 9 losses out of 14 games with all but one ending in a 4K for the losses. What all the 4Ks had today in common though was one of two things: (a) The last survivor or last two survivors left hadn't been hooked; and/or (b) Survivors were left to second stage (mainly me as the only reason I don't prevent second staging is if it's impossible to

  • Right now, base kit UB seems to be tied to the Last Man Standing mechanic. Here's a video from CoconutRTS showing how busted the mechanic can be. Granted, it is CoconutRTS on Huntress and he's more like a cyborg from the future with his accuracy than a normal DbD player but his games at least last longer due to Deliverance and Unbreakable plays. Personally, I think the two mechanics should be se

  • So, a question. Iron Will reduces grunts by 75% of their normal volume, correct? So, with Jeff, does that means his grunts become close to the same volume of the other survivors? Does this also destroy his group synergy of being so loud that the Killer can't hear the generators or the other survivors' footsteps? (If anyone thinks this post is serious please play Jeff a couple games and then you'

  • I just started DbD when the switch from Emblem to the current match making took place so I don't really have a point of comparison. However, while many of my teammates range from decent to better than me, I see a lot of complaints about bad teammates. I've also run into the 'I'm looking out for number one' types as well who generally cause a potential 3E to turn into a 4K. For those of you who

  • One of the items I haven't seen people mention is the potential for hook abuse. One of the tools that survivors have is strongly influencing where they go down. I do use this to buy time for my team on gens and another thing I do if possible is, if a teammate died in a corner or bad hook location, I go to that area when I'm about to go down. That way, I can usually wiggle free. I fully and 100%

  • I'm unsure what to think about the proposed changes. Here are potential implications: (a) Giving hatch to the last survivor may be dead. Quite often survivors can't tell that a Killer is trying to give them hatch so the Killer downs them and brings them to Hatch to save time. This will now lead to a Mori. The Killer probably won't run around half the map just so the survivor figures out they're

  • AKA A semi-competent rise to Iri grade I have no idea if anyone is interested or not but there is a lot of discussion on the forums about whether or not solo queue is playable or not. I'm in the camp that says solo queue feels fine. However, it's hard to know why someone says what they do unless you can see at times. As such, I made a list of 75 games and recorded them as well. I used both me

  • So, I was playing Nemesis and the strangest things happened. When a survivor was unhooked I tried to hit the unhooker but my controls kept on fighting me so I could only hit the recently unhooked survivor. It was like the controller was alive and determined to hit the recently unhooked survivor and nobody else. Also, when I hook a survivor as Nemesis and try to leave it's like I hit an invisible

  • So, I was buying up general perks on some of the characters that I P3 L1'ed before 6.1. I came to Wraith and it gave me the option to buy NOED at level one! From the trials where I've versed Wraith I thought this was basekit for Wraiths. Does this mean BHVR is telling me that it's actually possible to meet a Wraith without NOED?? You don't have to sign an agreement where it's used every time Wr

  • I see so many threads like this I thought I'd save people some time and come up with a template for them. Feel free to copy and paste! (Template) BHVR, I have had it! You need to nerf (insert perk or Killer name here) immediately! There's no counterplay whatsoever! (Insert Escaping or Getting Kills here) is impossible against this! How do you expect (insert Survivors or Killers here) to deal wi

  • The talk about whether BHVR is definitely Survivor sided or Killer sided has, fortunately, calmed down. Yet there is one mechanic that has not even brought up in all of these discussions that proves definitively that BHVR favors one side over the other and it's a travesty of justice it hasn't been mentioned and the community is not clamoring for a change. What is it you ask? How is it, that afte

  • I just realized I haven't seen this discussed before. As mentioned on multiple threads there are some people DCing, afking etc to try to increase kill rates. When someone does this and you're playing Killer if you two hook the remaining survivors, farm them for BP and let them go you'll get around 35K BP per game, a guaranteed pip all the way up to Iri One, and kill rates will be lower. So, if

  • https://youtu.be/YgylLJbGmlA I thought it was a pretty good video and, in my opinion, most people playing survivor are in the they want a bit of gens, bit of being chased, bit of a break from being chased off hook, repeat. I'm in that group too but I do have to admit I like stacking OTR with DS for the satisfaction of knowing that if I'm tunneled I'm extremely annoying to

  • I just did last night. That's literally the last time in recent memory I can remember doing that. Three of us made it out on death hook, (Nea got hooked twice in a row and I hook traded so she could get away. A Meg then hook traded for me and I returned the favour), and one of us had no hooks. Pre patch I'm sure this would have been a 4K or at least I would have died since every other match pre p

  • This is a PSA for all the solos that bring Self Care and haven't thought of this. A good alternative is to bring a med kit with at least one charge add on and bring Built to Last. As an example, with an emergency med kit with the gel add ons and bandages that's 40 charges; so 2.5 heals with a 50% buff. Built to Last will take 12 seconds per use and give you approximately 39 charges back on the f

  • I'm thinking if I'm concerned about tunneling Off the Record, Decisive Strike, Kinship and either Sprint Burst or Lithe. That guarantees a 7% haste for 5 seconds upon being unhooked, endurance on both Hooks if chased or targeted by the Killer after unhooking, a post hit speed boost if hit after each hit, a stun and Killer grasp escape if downed after being unhooked, a 30 second delay to the str

  • So, to give background info, I'm on Fractured Cowshed playing survivor. I'm running Kindred, Open Handed, Inner Focus and Detective's Hunch. We have a Spirit (using Dried Cherry Blossom) but the poor Spirit is outmatched and on a terrible map for Killers. The Spirit chases me around, hasn't landed a hit after a while, and goes for an easier target. Good call on the Killer's part. The Spirit fin

  • I've been trying to get some insight on the forums and I'm getting the following. DH has been nerfed. DH has been buffed. The devs are killer sided. The devs are survivor sided. Killers have been nerfed. Killers have been buffed. How can all of these statements be true at the same time??? MY BRAIN HURTS!!! Seriously, the fact that there are so many complaints from the more fervent support

  • I'm thinking about this because of the blink window. For those of you that don't know what that is, it's the time after the first blink before a lunge attack or a second blink has to be done or suffer fatigue. I think the blink window, not 100% sure though, has a base 1.1 second duration. As the Endurance effect is 1 second duration that leaves a tenth of a second for the Nurse to time the attac

  • This may sound ironic but why not just tunnel? The entire point of the change is to encourage the Killer to switch targets. If somebody runs at you and you have to hit them isn't it a natural consequence of their actions to just tunnel them out? They went from being disadvantageous to tunnel to no practical reason not to tunnel. That sounds fine to me because, if they're subverting the intent, t

  • For the solo queuers as a whole I think the changes help. Many times I see a 3 or 4K when doing solo queue it's because of NOED and altruistic survivors hook bombing instead of looking for the totem or a facecamper and survivors do rescues without BT instead of gens. With NOED, it's now incentives and much easier to take out the totem first and then do the rescue. With the basekit BT, for 5 sec

  • So, I got curious because, with the event, I'm playing normally. For me this means alternating hooks, no tunneling, no intentional camping and no survivors die before at least the fifth hook unless they (a) don't get rescued by their team (not my doing; I'm usually not even within 40 meters of the hook unless I get swarmed at hook) or (b) they teabag at a pallet (I don't care that much about flas

  • Hey, I saw Otz's video on NOED and I've stated something similar before so I just wanted to throw this out for discussion. https://youtu.be/Jfs-tKFJGDs I also agree and think NOED is harmful to new killers in the long term and puts them in an MMR hellscape. We also see that, from the MMR data, it's not even that effective of a perk as its use drops off the higher you go u

  • Has anyone noticed an uptick in this? I have some games where I suspect cheating but yesterday I had two obvious ones. The first was a survivor that could crawl faster than my killer could run. The second was someone whom I couldn't grab from a locker. They would come out, hop back in when chased, and I couldn't grab them at all. I stood right by the locker in EGC so the EGC could get them but, n

  • I mean, have you ever considered how unfair it is to Dwights and Claudettes? If they can't hide in lockers you have effectively eliminated their entire contribution to the team. At least Claudettes can go hide in a corner or bush or a Nea can crouch walk all over the map but what about all the Dwight mains? They might as well go afk If you eliminate hiding in a locker as there's nothing else to

  • Here's some of my opinions that seem to get a strong reaction. 1. I like vsing Bubba and Myers (when Mikey brings the good stuff). They scare me which reminds me of how much fun beginning DbD was. 2. NOED hurts both survivors in the short term and killers in the long term. 3. NOED and DH are both used for the exact same reason; overpowered compared to other perks, low risk high reward, and hav

  • I'll provide feedback on my games in the appropriate thread after but, so far, my games as both survivor and killer are weird. The killers I've run into as survivor are much better than normal and, as only M1 killers that should be at low MMR, each survivor group I've run into has an average of 11 to 12 meta perks spread out over the four survivors (approximately 3 each on the average.) • I'm thinking of recording some data on different killers to see how I do with each one. However, with MMR there could be a bias (either for me or against me) with the killers I don't play regularly. How many games do you think I should play to get a decent, or at least semi decent, sample? 10 per killer? 15? 20? More? Theoretically, it should balance out to 2K on the average but that's on a mac
