I completely agree with everything here and I honestly believe if the devs did everything you said the game would be awesome and live up to its name and genre. The opening trailer is so misleading it hurts to watch it. the launch trailer is so cool it makes the game look intense and scary
also I love your jokes you put in here -
Right? I was on torment creek and one of the adams in my lobby was on one of the tractor things and he threw a pebble off and away and it made me lose focus and he got awayJack11803 said:When healing cube comes it’ll be useful. Buff the DARN pebble
darn that pebble. Nerf it and make it a nerf pebble so it doesn't make sound when it lands

I'll just stop you right there everyone is saying it's a shadow nerf but it is literally in the patch notes. A shadow nerf is what they did to huntress. Assuming it's not just a bugmtyms818 said:Now I would like to start saying that I'm rank 4 killer and play survivor with friends and solo it occasionally. Autodidact got shadow nerfed, and honestly I have a lot to say.
Autodidact was a solid perk during the PTB, and had a lot of usage. It basically allowed an instant heal, but at a cost. The perk took quite a while to build up, and calling it strong wouldn't be wrong, but its true potential could really only be useful for someone who ran empathy and relied on other survivors to constantly escape chase. The perk probably could've had a nerf to the same max healing, but increasing the threshold before you start getting benefits is a bit harsh. You would have to get 5 skillchecks, which would likely mean either saving every one of your teammates or getting really lucky.
The point is the perk can't really compete any more. I was more than willing to run it in place of we'll make it before it got nerfed, since it can be a gamechanger and lifesaver, but now it's really only good if you pair it with spine chill or rely on the killer running Unnerving Presence. Since skillchecks are rng in itself, the perk did have some issues where you could go through a whole heal and get no tokens.
Let me know you guy's opinions in a civil manner please. -
I'm doing fine but I played a match against a huntress that said they had these problems and the whole huntress stuff happening now didn't help them. We were on rancid abitior idk how to spell it but you know what I mean

This entire situation makes me lose faith in the devs...
if this was a bug then they can't program for crap. Remember the update when they made flashlight saves super easy changed bt and somehow broke the terror radius? That's when I quit because I'm so frustrated with the devs and I came back a few weeks ago now this alleged bug just takes the cake.
If this was intended then these devs are obviously not very smart as far as balance goes because this was completely undeserved. Yeah the hitboxes were not too great but that kinda balanced her out. Even before this I still had hatchets going through people now it's not just the tall characters, it's Claudette too. And dodging hatchets are 1million times easier making it near impossible to hit someone unless they are vaulting or dropping a pallet and that's assuming they don't just run around it to fake you out
-
Probably a survivor main that doesn't care when killers are nerfed and only wants more nerfs because if you had half a. Rain you would know that both the recent nerfs have been completely unfairmacaco386 said:jordirex said:

Very motivational but survivors most of the time don't treat me so well so I think I'll play the way I see fit also pallets were buffed in this last update so idk what you are talking about them being nerfed. And if you are talking about the vacuume that was never intended and was just recently fixed

You can flashlight save people I have done it. Pallets however you can't blind I have noticed it as killer and survivor. She looks down so much when she breaks it the beam isn't hitting her eyes. Idk if it's a bug or intended. I hope it's intended because she already has some trouble chasing survivors and flashlight blinds don't help
-
If survivors were faster then they would just run in a straight line and run in circles around things. It would be like playing nurse and not blinking...scumrrado said:Most killers should not have a base speed over 100%. In what slasher movie was the killer naturally faster than the "survivors," without the use of supernatural abilities? Pretty much none.
Most slashers use stealth, strategic advantage (traps, location awareness), or supernatural abilities to confirm kills. Not base run speed. DBD should replicate this.
It feels like crap as a survivor to die to a killer because they're impossible to run away from. All the juking and stuns in the world can be caught up to. Maps are either way too open or way too closed. Scratch marks from running are too easy to follow, but how else do you get away? Being chased forever isn't scary. It's annoying.
On the flip side, it feels like crap to be stuck in a loop as a killer. Survivors shouldn't have to resort to stalling, ping, or bugs to get away. It should be rewarding as the killer to down a survivor, rather than easy. It should be terrifying to encounter the killer as a survivor, not damning.
Nerf killer base run speeds, remove loops, remove some more pallets, reduce terror radii, etc. Heck, even buff killer abilities. The point is, at the start of the match with zero perks, no killer should be able to outrun a survivor.
Thoughts, my killer mains?

-
I'm in between on the strength of her. I'm getting 2 kills most matches only because of rancor. I got the adept achievement only because the survivors didn't wanna do gens and were super predictable. I think she would be top tier if gens were done slower because chases last a little too long if you don't have the best add on for recovery speed and duration. You phase walk and hit them you probably have no more power left and have to wait 20 seconds and chase them with 110% movement speed and this is assuming you didn't lose them on the first phase walk. If you just chase them normally and only phase walk after them if they are injured(I do this because it makes catching up easy) the good things about her are the passive phase walking. I have died/got hit because of this a lot. And it makes mind gaming high Walled pallet areas very easy. It would make it a million times better if it was its own separate ability and you pressed another button to activate it when you want to help with that but might be too op and make things too easy. Wouldn't want an op killer now would we?
there is my 2 cents on her. I wouldn't say she is bad but I wouldn't say good either -
I'd say keep it directional make it quieter not have as large of a radius. That way it can be countered but it isn't as easy nor is it impossibleblue4zion said:I'd say keep it, quiet it down a bit, and make it not directional.
at its current state a gen grab is impossible unless they are committed to finishing it or they have no sound -
I know this is probably a troll post but I would probably use noed if they did this
made it a perk again
no exposed effect
increased movement speed by 10%
and missed and hit recovery 60%

'I play both sides so I'm impartial' usually is something said by survivor mains who dabble a tiny bit into low-rank killer. Low-rank killer is easy, low-rank survivor is hard. This usually gives the distinct impression that survivor is the harder or weaker role, when at high ranks, it's the opposite. I'm not saying anything about you, I'm just saying what your statement says about you.
Want people to believe you're credible about balance? Link your Steam profile so they can check your achievements and play time. For example, here's mine:
https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198045252862/https://steamcommunity.com/id/misteraxel Here you go. I'm not one of those 2k+ hours guys, I'm not a pro, but I know how to play. I'm always around rank 1 both killer and survivor. And yes, I'm pretty impartial. I've a good amount of red moris with killers, but never used them because they're stupid. Only used green moris because of Daily Rituals. I've started playing this game as a killer and started playing survivor seriously this year since my friend got the game too.
I started getting matched up with 1k+ hours players after about 30 hours of playtime. At first I dodged lobbies because it felt unfair (I'm 30 hours in this game and the game puts me against players with more than 1k hours? no thx), but then I started going YOLO and realised that some of these 2k hours are just decent players if not mediocre. So I don't judge players by their playtime
That doesn't answer my earlier question, the one I asked in regards to what you meant in your OP:
"They 'ruin the game and are just a way to make people more toxic', you say. What does that mean? Please elaborate, since it's impossible to understand you, when you don't say what you mean."Dem feels. Back when I first started playing when you were hosting a killer lobby, it showed prestige, levels, and ranks of each survivor in the lobby. I would dodge until I got people at my character level, since I started out as a low-level Wraith. I stopped doing that, though, after dodging for 3 consecutive hours to get a single fair match. As you say, experience =/= skill, and that becomes the case more and more as time goes on. The emblem system has made it ridiculously easy to pip, and incredibly difficult to depip, leading survivors to the high ranks before they have enough mechanical skill at the game to pass muster as what I remember rank 1 survivors being back in 2016, when they played hardball and went for the jugular, rather than the modern high rank survivor who just plays casually. There even used to be a high-rank code for survivors, for crying out loud. Nowadays, such a thing does not exist and is considered unthinkable by most, outside of what is now called a 'troll SWF', but used to be every high rank group of survivors.
I didn't say that you weren't impartial. I'm saying that, since it would seem that you haven't had the full experience of the game, that your limited experience would lead you to believe in a very limited ideal of balance, based on that experience. It's hard to break free of that cage of inexperience that limits thought, but the easiest way to do it is to gain that experience. And that cage would lead to things you'd consider to be rational and impartial, to not be either rational or impartial.
I don't judge players by their playtime, either. I judge their credibility based on what they've done with that playtime, and if they were truthful about their experiences.
Based on your achievements, I can say this with near absolute certainty:
When you play killer, you main Wraith and Hillbilly, and dabble in Nurse and Huntress. Combined with which survivors you have the adept achievements for, I take this to mean that you haven't bought many (or any, for that matter) of the DLCs. This also means that you haven't played greater than half of the killers, more often than passingly, if at all.
Your only p3-50, is likely a survivor, but possibly the Hillbilly or Wraith.
You've never hit rank 5 or above as killer. Which makes your earlier statement ("I'm always around rank 1 both killer and survivor") either a bold-faced lie, or an exaggeration of your killer rank, as I'd say the highest you've obtained is around rank 8 as killer. The highest rank you've been proven to have hit as killer is 10, which is the turnaround point at which playing killer actually begins to be difficult. Low rank killer is easy; high rank killer is difficult.
You've hit rank 1 as survivor.
Your 500-some odd out of the 1000 kills achievement is indicative of the relatively decent amount of time you've spent playing killer. However, paired with the lack of rank 1 killer achievement, it doesn't paint a good picture of your balance opinions. What it essentially says, is you've played survivor which is hard at low ranks but less so at high ranks, and low-rank killer which is generally easy across the board.
As I stated earlier:
" 'I play both sides so I'm impartial' usually is something said by survivor mains who dabble a tiny bit into low-rank killer. Low-rank killer is easy, low-rank survivor is hard. This usually gives the distinct impression that survivor is the harder or weaker role, when at high ranks, it's the opposite."
The impression I had of you from your previous statement is almost completely accurate, apart from that you've done a bit more than dabble into killer, but your experience is only at low ranks so it's impossible for me to believe that you've seen the full picture.
However, that has no bearing on whether or not you present a valid argument and/or point, so long as you back it up with proper evidence. Which is why the first thing I did in this post, was to ask you to clarify what you meant.

gonna ask for peoples profile when they say killers are op and they play both, now

I play both killer and survivor, so I'm not one-sided. But let's be honest: those things ruin the game and are just a way to make people more toxic. Infinite EW3 Myers with Mori, insta-hatchets with huntress, 4 blink with nurse, getting injured while disarming traps, pinky finger for clown. They all ruin games (one more than another).I like when those ultra-rare add-ons change the killers' playstyle: the Pig has that wallhack while crouched but loses traps while doing so. That's cool. Even the Doctor's one is cool since it can drive you crazy sometimes (not sure about giving random debuffs being a good thing tbh).
And moris. Good old ebony moris. Just tunnel every survivor and they'll fall one by one.
You nerfed BNP because it was way too strong, since a single guy could complete a gen in a few seconds. But why should killing everyone on first hook be good?
Don't know what to say about insta-heals. It's annoying but it didn't cause me any problem as a killer. But I don't care about it. Leave it or remove it.
"I play both….!" and than only complains about killer stuff… yea, totally legit. rolleyes
They nerfed BNPs because survivor objectives are done way faster than killer objectives (aka gen rush).
The goal of the many is way faster and easier to complete than the goal of the single player, that is completely unbalanced crap in an asymetrical game. And I guess you're a killer main. rolleyes. BNP got its well deserved nerf. Insta-heal are not my concern, since I don't use them as a Survivor and they aren't a problem for me as a Killer (apart from that time I was using Freddy thanks to an offering and I had to wait 7 seconds to get guys in the dream world). So yes, only Killers' addons are bothering me since they all include insta-down, insta-death and so on.
It's almost like Killer is meant to be the power role or something.
yeah nerf that please

She does need some tweaks, especially with her sounds and some other qol stuff.
1 anybody can get a merciless on trash survivors(not saying your bad just saying) and if you got a gen grab they were playing without sound or they are just stupid because the radius of the noise you send off when you phase walk is way too big to get a gen grab off a competent survivor

killers should get more bloodpoints for survivors disconnecting. you only get like 600. just for one survivor downed and hooked(if they die in one hook) normally is like tripple that. 300 for each hit assuming you are playing an m1 killer. then 500 i think for hooking then 200 for the next phase then 200 for the sacrifice and depending on how long the chase is you get even more
