This game is supposed to be a horror game, if you nerf every killer that is strong hey won't be scary therefore not a horror game. Get better to counter the hillbilly and nurse rather than coming here to complain on the forums
-
The title on its own is stupid. Killer perks are supposed to be superior. Not only because survivors can bring 4 of it but because the killer is supposed to be stronger... I would agree with any change that makes it more of a quality of life change like different ways to get stacks but any of this that gives it another advantage is stupid(no offense)

Why does everyone cry about camping? You yourself just called it a defensive strategy. If it's a strategy why should the devs even touch it in any way to make it less valid or viable. Even the whole chaser thing is dumb. Honestly with the way this went I would just close the thread if I were youKind_Lemon said:
Yes; that would be camping. It is the prevention of a save off a hook through the defensive strategy of standing near the hooked survivor. Most killers will start to leave the hook if the timer is low enough and there is not enough time for a survivor to run in and save. It’s a small change to require more investment, albeit amall, to camping.@DeadByFlashlight said:@Kind_Lemon said:
DeadByFlashlight said:@Kind_Lemon said:
A balance change to reduce choice camping would be to not let the killer know how much longer the survivor has on the hook before they die. That would mean a greater chance for unpredictability in survivors in situations where the survivors aren't experts at chase, and the killer is dominating the hook game.
Tell me why the community members agree or disagree.
How does this affect camping at all?
I mean camping literally means that the killer chills next to the survivor until he dies, how does it matter AT ALL whether he sees a timer runing or not?
The timer is actually only useful for killers that DONT camp. Take that away and you will see probably evne more campers

It affects the optimization of camping, making it harder. A killer can’t just leave when there is a fraction more bar left, looking around for unhookers that might be running in last second; they have to wait until they see the survivor stabbed with spikes. That gives roughly 10 extra seconds at the end of a sacrifice for survivors who aren’t in comms to make up for their inefficiency during that time.
I dont think you know what "camping" actually means and I believe you are talking about "patroling" actually.
A killer that camps doesnt move away from teh hook anyway and doesnt give a [BAD WORD] about any timer until the survivor is dead^^
All I want is for the killer to have less time to catch other survivors if the killer camps. -
To all the people here it has absolutely nothing to do with them being injured or no mither or deliverence or nothing. It happened to me when everyone else was healthy. And to the person who thought. " oh just drop them and put them to sleep" @Hitm3on3mor3tim3 well I did that but they still bodyblocked with their still healthy survivor and they wiggled off giving the survivors yet another free escape. But that game wasn't too frustrating at the end because I rekt them all because of their incompetence and inability to complete generators

This is a well known thing and probably wasn't insta heal or dead hard. And don't try to justify when a survivor gets out through the hatch. If survivors are so brain dead they can't do gens and they get away because of 4% or a perk and then can't get hurt for some reason. That is NOT ok or even fair. Slashing a weapon through someone and it doing literally nothing is the most ######### thing I have ever seen in games. That includes dead hard. While relatively balanced dead hard is annoying when weapons go though the survivor. The even more Annoying thing is when hatchets go straight through them but they don't die because of a dash. Kinda off topic but they should try in the ptb to make it where dead hard doesn't give you invincibility and increases the range you dash by like 50%S0ckenSchuss said:Next to hatch or opened gate? hm.. what would happen? Maybe the survivor would escape? 1 of 4? Is it really that huge Problem?
With borrowed time at least two guys would escape (if the situation fits) who cares.
But to answer the question: HOW was he kobe'ing? just lucky 4% or the 100% of that adam perk? was he in that state with the red cross (like in no mither) after Kobe'ing? did he carry a medkit (with maybe instaheal on it), was maybe deadhard triggering and you just didnt recognize it? were gates opened WHILE he was on the hook? (for maybe adreanline). lots of possibilitys. fitting more or less, of course.
And why did you even camp the last hook? :P (just kidding)
-
I honestly don't understand why you don't understand how people thinking camping is ok? Its a perfectly viable tactic that works sometimes depending on what survivors do about it. Just do gens and get into the next game. You are the killer you are supposed to have power over survivors and if that means standing next to a hook to make sure someone dies rather than running in circles then we'll...purebalance said:I really don't understand how people think camping is even ok unless the survivor was toxic. You are pretty much supposed to go into it knowing you're at least going to have to down the same person twice if not three times

They nerf killers far more than survivors. AND KILLERS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE POWER ROLE! Prove me wrongSenzuDuck said:@fcc2014 said:
Ok, now i understand you are trolling. Gotcha! The Hag, Trapper, Wraith all got nice buffs. Hooking speed and pick up animation no longer feels clunky or extended. The Spirit got 2 updates within weeks which were sorely needed. The Huntress was given a true hit box but since the mechanic is broke they quickly reversed it. They are adding 4s to the base of healing that can stack longer with several perks, but hey [BAD WORD] the killers right. It's the same argument every time "They never do anything for killers".

Honestly, a good start would be, if someone spams crouch past the exit gates, the Entity blocks the exit for 5 seconds. Either stay on the map or run. Don't be a little #########.
Oh wait, one of the Devs pitched in with his view on nerfed Killers; 'Play Survivor or play another game. Civ is fun'
Hey, your own dev said it. Guess I won't tell people to buy your game, if you can't be bothered to balance it.
Maybe play a different game until this one is the way you want it to be.

Guys! He plays killer at rank 3 he knows this game balance better than anyone. Devs listen to this guy.
ps putting your probably not real rank in the post doesn't help at all because rank means absolutely nothing
ps ps not convinced this isn't bait -
Somebody have the Dwight pic with the trapper mask on??
-
Yeah there is no pressure to save someone because the timer is so long. Just the amount of time someone is on the hook to die puts the killer at a huge disadvantage. By the time one person gets caught and hooked the survivors can pretty much guarantee 3 gens done if they get on the gens at the start and people can hit ruin skill checks if they have ruin. And even if they take a few extra seconds to get on the gens it takes 80 seconds to do a gen and 60 seconds to go into the next hook stage. So if the survivor starts getting chased and everyone gets on a gen they only have to run them around for 20 seconds for the others to do gens and get over and save them before next phase. Now this is assuming you can teleport. But when the killer chases someone that was working on a gen you still get 2 gens done with no hooked consequence. Then you repeat the process and walla all gens done and only 3-4 hooks out of the 12 needed
-
Yes! But unfortunately this will never happen because dbd is not that kind of game. I would love if the killers were scary and could completely destroy survivors like trapper did to Claudette and jake. Not being forced to run in circles
-
when the hatchet went through a survivor was it when they screwed with her hitboxes? If not then it was probably a Dwight or an ace where the hatchet can go through them because the hitbox doesn't cover the entire body so it is more fair for Claudette's and megs and doesn't hit above them as muchNickenzie said:

Do you not have dbd? Because if you are considering buying it because of your specs I'd say you are in the clear. I have half the ram an i7 core and only slightly better graphics and I run it perfectly fine at 60 frames with occasional drops to 40-50 on some more detailed maps

This is really what makes it not a horror game. Things are a little too bright and the 3rd person is a crutch to a point it makes the game not scary at all because you can do a complete 360 degree scan of the area to make sure the killer isn't near
-
WAH! But according to @AnotherRandy that would hurt solo survivors because THERE IS NO WAY TO COMMUNICATE BEFORE GAME. Having an empty perk slot would only hurt solos but I'm pretty sure if it were an only obsession perk I would not want ds nerfed anymorefcc2014 said:I have said before DS should be used only for the obsession. I wish there was an unlimited amount of daily rituals you can do per day. Make the stuff you get from it like terrible maybe just 5k blood points and make it to where you keep getting them. I think it would be cool having more objectives/things to complete

You can't really make an accurate tier list because every game is different. The only things I would completely agree with is nurse billy and Freddy spots. The rest vary
-
I think if you pull off a fully charged shot from like 45 meters away or more it should insta down. Or maybe a headshot at a range of something like 24 meters because if you could insta down really close it would be op. And yeah hillbilly can do that but he can't do a lot of things huntress already can

Yeah the hitbox for them are broken too. When I play huntress if you throw a hatchet at someone unhooking sometimes it will go through them and hit the guy who cant be damaged then give them a free save and more time to run away. They also need to fit the stupid lock-on to the hooked survivor
-
Well of course I like these ideas but actually thinking the devs will do it? Naaah never gonna happen. With spies from the shadows buffed like this it would buff the pebble because it would give more alerts. For example if everyone is healthy and you see an alert in the corner of the map or just near some boxes you know it's diversion because nothing could have made that sound. But with spies it could have been crows. I think the pebble has potential but not that strong at the momentBlood_Coil_Viper said:Monstrous Hooks: sounds very powerful with a build I run involving MYC and Mint Rag. Though I highly doubt it would be too powerful. On other killers and builds it should be a fairly balenced perk that combines well with BBQ maybe?
Spies from the shadows: Now this perk sounds interesting.. potentially very powerful if the killer knows how to use it and very weak if they don't. They need to pay attention to the crows without getting too distracted. Good change this is.
Beast of Prey: Hmm.. I don't know about this one personally. I like the idea of the current one for getting rid of the red stain. If it's buffed to a good point then it can be very good but this one? I don't know how much extra lunge distance is worth in a chase.
Overwhelming Presence: I'm having trouble thinking of how strong or weak this is. It has synergy with MYC and Haunted Grounds and a few add ons. Also hinders the broken effect from Deliverance even further. The increased terror radius is nice though and makes builds that need a larger terror radius even stronger then before.
Distressing: A flat number increase instead of a percentage is always better I think. I believe the current one increases it by around that anyway for a standard 32 metre terror radius. As for the points I assume this just means you get 50% more points after a match like half of what BBQ chilli does? If so then that's nice to have. This seems to be a nice QoL change.
Overall I'd say these perks are all balanced and stronger then their current in game versions (Though how much is that really saying) the only one I'm unsure about is Beast of Prey. I'd have to test it out to be sure about it. -
Maybe done do a gen in an area where there are walls. Maybe get better at the game instead of demanding things get removed because you can't counter it with skill. Take Freddy for example. He was a trash killer. People screamed because they were bad and he got nerfed into the ground making him suck even more. Now you could expect the same thing to happen to wraith add on. But I doubt things will change and you should GIT GUD

That's also not really how nurses calling works. You don't just put it on and know where everyone is healing. Good survivors will use SC outside of your terror radius. NC works best on characters whose terror radius you can reduce(like Mike Meyers). It's still a good perk but it's pretty easily avoidable.
EXACTLY and all survivors can run self care and make nurses calling completed useless as soon as you hear the terror radius. Seems like every strong killer perk has a hard counter to make it completely useless while all strong survivor perks have a counter that can be countered if that makes any sense. And some don't even have a counter and they are just strong
If a survivor is injured, and they've managed to outplay you, juke, and hide, they deserve to heal. The hard counter to Self-care is to not lose the survivor, lmfao.
If they're injured you've probably just been right next to them, lol.

I don't complain when survivors loop much like I don't complain when killers camp or tunnel. Unless it's me because that just sucks. But I don't blame them or scream at them end game for just doing their job. I complain about looping in the way that you shouldn't be able to loop so easily and waste so much of a killer precious time doing something that takes absolutely no skill whatsoever. Things like big window loops on storehouse and ironworks that take absolutely no brain to use can waste a lot of the killers time just for you to make it safely to another pallet after your 3rd window vault only to come right back to the same window a few seconds later after it reopens. That is dumb and should not exist hence why people complain about it. No one ever said they want survivors to give themselves up and let the killer down them. This is an assumption all survivor mains make when killers complain about looping. Much like how they always say "all they want is a 4k" when really I just want to feel like I don't have to play nurse to have a chance at actually killing when vs good survivorsprojecteulogy said:Tell the developer to implement mechanics that would help remove looping.
Survivors have two choices. "Immersed" Stealth or "Brain dead" looping. Currently, playing Stealth(how i like to) yields next to no BP/Pip. Looping grants survivors tons of Bloodpoints. There's no denying it. There's more than 1000 videos on Twitch and Youtube proving this.
They're removing even more pallets on the PTB and "balancing" it with making hooks spawn ONLY outside of 24m of each other unless Offerings are used. Point is, killers ######### about Genrushing and Looping.. the only 2 tools a survivor has to "win" the game. Meanwhile, killers resort to slugging to prevent any sort of hatch escape and/or tunnel and camp survivors they find a "threat".
What exactly do you want survivors to do? Just stand there and let you down them thus creating a killer's version of a M1 Simulator? lol Until the developer actually gives a ######### about Looping, you're stuck with it.
-
Before you come complain on a forum maybe do your research a little better. There is still always one open window there. Which makes it 3 exits and the pallet is still a relatively safe palletRadiant said:Groaning Storehouse windows are all closed now with just 2 exits and 1 useless pallet.

Not a bad ds nerf idea but I wouldn't say it is a good one eitherThis will just hurt solo survivors, swfs will just at coordinate who will take the DS and everyone else won't waste it. Think a minute before u type man
lol "think before you type" maybe you should think too because not only would this perk still be crutch for the survivor that uses it. it would still reward the people that dont get to use it. there is this thing called chat so it wouldnt always hurt solo survivors. and like i said this perk shouldnt be all fine and dandy completely safe to use with absolutely no drawbacks. do you know how many killer perks have built in drawbacks?? the strongest ones all have something survivors can do to stop it or counter it. the only thing that can be done with ds is enduring and droping them off a ledge. but if they have balanced landing they get away scott free.
so yeah i have thought.
PS: there was no reason to be a dick
Mate, r u mental or deluded or something? Pls try to use ur human brain and logic, I break that down one last time:
The suggestion of "who took ds but isn't obsession loses a whole perk slot" will just hurt solos more again. Because premades will clarify who going to be the one taking ds. SWF will be 100% run all 4 perk slots (16+ aura reading for free).
On the other side solos who can't communicate and clarify who will take ds will end in someone gas only 3 perks for the whole match. SWFs will never ever have this situation of someone with 3 perks. I swear, if someone can't take this logic Im done with my faith in humanity. Such a simple logic but people don't get it. I'm superior to the majority in this forum or are just some kids under 16yo writing? Ffs...
